Salma Hayek topped off a beautiful draped Grecian-look white one shoulder dress with a bizarre black headband that looked like a hair net. Salma is gorgeous and I love her flapper-inspired hair with controlled soft waves, but that thing on her forehead has got to go. The headband trend has gone too far, and I never quite understood why it’s become so popular. Headbands look arguably cute and a little quirky on celebrities like Mischa Barton, Nicole Richie, and Ashlee Simpson. They’re a way to complete an outfit that looks like it was just thrown together, and are not an accessory for a gorgeous formal dress, no matter how elegant they look.

Salma is rumored to have reunited with her ex fiance and her daughter’s father, billionaire Francois-Henri Pinault. The two were seen out at a football game together in France, only one of many recent sightings of the supposed ex-couple. Francois-Henri was photographed kissing another woman in late August at a time when he was said to have already split from Salma. Either the Salma and Francois-Henri remain friendly for the sake of their 14 month old daughter, Valentina, or have reconciled and are trying to keep it quiet.

Yah know how sometimes you just have one of those “off” days? No matter how much makeup… no matter how much time you spend on your hair… you still think you look like crap? It looks like she’s having one of those.
Based on what little I can see of the shoes in one of the pics, they’re wrong for the dress as well. It’s like different people did each part of her look.
Makeup looks bad
A thin Swarovski crystal headband to tie in with the classical Greek theme might have looked well and tied in with the hair. This… not so much.
