Salma Hayek’s very recent ex, billionaire François-Henri Pinault, 46, was seen making out with a new girlfriend on his yacht in Tuscany. Pinault and a topless Virginie Couperie, described as an “equestrian,” were photographed kissing and playfully laying about on the beach and on his boat. They looked very much in love. Pinault is the father of Hayek’s 11 month-old daughter and was engaged to the 41 year-old actress before their split was announced last month.

I tried to find out more about this woman and I think I found a french-language Wikipedia article that says she was married to a singer named Julien Clerc in 1984 and that they have two children together, a 23 year-old girl named Vanila and an 11 year-old son, Barnabe. There wasn’t a divorce date that I could find, but it says he had a baby with his new girlfriend earlier this year. He is also said to be a grandfather so that means that this woman that’s lounging around Italy with Salma Hayek’s ex is a grandmother herself.
Even if Salma and her baby’s father were broken up before he hooked up with this horse-riding grandma it’s got to be annoying to see him kissing another woman so soon after they announced their split. This guy may not be the best looking, but he runs the parent company that owns Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent - he’s loaded. He also apparently has plenty of time to lounge around and enjoy his vast wealth.

Well done, Salma, in not comitting to this person legally. What a hassle that would have been, when he obviously has no staying power. I seriously doubt this man has any interest in his child other than as a testament to his manhood and ability to spread his seed.

Let me give you the definition of ‘equestrian’ in this example
‘equestrian’–rich woman who does not work in or outside the home. She may or may not own a horse but will ride after someone feeds, mucks out, grooms and tacks up the horse for her. She will ride around in little circles and then have some one cool out the horse while she enjoys a cocktail or two.

Actually, CB, her husband had a daughter with actress Miou-Miou before marrying Virginie. It’s that daughter who has a son. But that does not make Virginie a grandmother at all.
And for all of you guys who jumped to conclusions based on assumptions, Virginie is no ‘equestrian’ - rich woman , etc. She’s a bona fide tournament athlete and also involved in all kinds of charities / events with her family & their horses.

He didn’t choose to have a baby without a marriage- but salma has chosen that for him.
When women choose to pull a Jen Garner, they should know that they are the one forcing a child onto a man who didn’t make the decision to procreate with her.
And no, in case you are wondering- choosing to have sex is not the same as choosing to bring a child into this world with the specific woman and form a new family.

Well Salma made sure that the father of her child is a billionaire, securing her child’s future. She got what she wanted which is to be a mother, I believe she really wasn’t in love with this guy, no matter how rich he is.

Looks are overrated.
Salma is high maintenance, and played the PR game to the hilt when they “broke up”. We saw pix of her and the kid, she released the statement, friends wwere talking bout her being the greatest mother ect…. I never saw her and FHP hugging and kissing like these two. She barely touched him in photos, it all looked too staged for me. God bless them if they are happy caus eits hard to find out here.

OK, guys, as many posters mentioned, I don’t think Salma loves(d) that guy anyway. Looks to me like she was in it for the dough. Has anyone ever seen them kissing/hugging in any published pictures like those 2 are? The relationship didn’t work because Salma wanted to be in LA full time (Ugly Betty oblige) and FHP has his job in France, so it was doomed from the start anyway. I’m sure Miss Hayek enjoys the BIG fat check that she’s getting from him on a monthly basis though. Anyone heard her complaining about not having him around?! While Ms. Hayek may come from a wealthy family in Mexico, FHP is a friggin billionnaire. As for Virginie Couperie, she comes from a very wealthy French family. She’s a descendant of Gustave Eiffel (the Eiffel tower) and other crème de la crème Blue Blood very important people.

To be more specific, Virginie Couperie is the Great-Grand-Daughter of Gustave Eiffel. Her family owns wineries, catles, apartments, etc.. and they breed, raise and sale horses.
