Goldie Hawn gets her drink on with Kate Hudson to launch The Hawn Foundation

These are photos of Goldie Hawn, her daughter Kate Hudson, and Kate’s boyfriend Matt Bellamy after an event in London last night. They were leaving the launch party for the Hawn Foundation in the UK. Lainey has the detail that it was after 4am when Goldie left the party! Now I’ve never heard of the Hawn Foundation, but from what I gather from their website it’s a non-profit founded by Goldie for teachers and parents aimed at helping children achieve. It sounds awesome and like a good cause. Goldie even has a book coming out this month about how to be a more mindful parent and caregiver to children. It’s called 10 Mindful Minutes: Giving Our Children–and Ourselves–the Social and Emotional Skills to Reduce Stress and Anxiety for Healthier, Happy Lives. This news is of course being overshadowed by Goldie’s kind of messy appearance outside the event. She was so toasted she got into her car butt-first and fell over inside. You know she’ll get some tabloid coverage for this, but at least it’s also bringing awareness to her organization, which is news to me. So Goldie gets her drink on, and she gets publicity for her cause. Here’s more:

We love Goldie Hawn. She’s always giggling, smiling and having a lovely time. Yesterday was no different. She looked like a twenty-year-old whippersnapper at the party for her charity, The Hawn Foundation, at Annabel’s members’ club in Mayfair. (She’s actually a 66-year-old grandmother).

(We could make a bad joke about going Overboard with the booze, but we’ll restrain ourselves…Okay, we can’t – she blatantly went a bit Overboard with the booze!)

She shuffled to her car waiting outside and then got in backwards. Amazing. We love this woman. “Why can I see the trunk of this car?” she was probably thinking as her bum slid down the back of the front seat.

Earlier in the day she’d been at a signing for her new book on meditation ’10 Mindful Minutes’. It’s a self-help book said to offer “the social and emotional skills to reduce stress and anxiety for healthier, happy lives.”

Her daughter, Kate Hudson, and Kate’s fiance, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy, came along to the evening do looking very glam. Goldie’s manager Alan Nevins tweeted, “So proud of @goldiehawn for her work with children. And Kate so generous in coming to london to support the Foundation and her mom! Luv U!”

[From Mirror.co.uk]

Kurt Russell wasn’t there, so it was nice that Kate and Matt came out to help support Goldie. Goldie sure knows how to let her hair down. It looks like Kate had a few too, but she was maintainin’, as Kaiser says. Check out Kate’s “I’m not that drunk” face. I do that too! Look at that gorgeous coat. You can see Kate and Goldie inside the party in photos on The Mirror’s site.

And here’s Goldie earlier in the day signing copies of her book:

Eww, the guy in the top pictures “helping” her looks really sleazy!! Am I the only who seeing this?

But that woman looks good, and is always happy, no matter what!

  2. Sara says:

Kate looks fantastic! I can’t believe she just had another kid.

  3. Nev says:

    great-looking couple.

  4. Franny says:

I’m glad she was able to keep her legs closed while falling into a car. She should give lessons to some ladies we all know of…

  5. brin says:

What a mess…and that is bangs trauma at it’s worst!

    • MMF says:

She looks amazing for her age.
You can only hope to look that good.

    • jano1981 says:

And if she was botoxed and botched u would have a problem with that too. I’m imagining what u probably look like and I’m ROTFL!

      • brin says:

Geez…do you have stock in the Hawn Foundation? That’s my opinion, deal.

      • jano1981 says:

Just for the life of me can’t understand why u would say something derogatory toward her. Its amost like u just wanted to say bangs trauma! And I do have stock in women shouldn’t knock eachother for aging gracefully!

  6. mssnarnd says:

She is a riot and I love her. Looks like she had a great time. A night out in London – how much fun! You go, girl!

(And the Hawn Foundation sounds like a good cause.)

    • Aiobhan says:

I agree that she looks amazing-even while completely drunk off her ass. I like that she has not done a damn thing to her face and is still successful in holly wood at that. If I had a celebrity to go out with for a fun time she would be my first choice.

    • gg says:

This is what’s known as: Smiling Your Face Off.

Which is sure better than scowling, so I can’t fault her.

  7. Lauren says:

Where is Kurt? Goldie looks like she’s having fun. I don’t think she gives a sh*t what anyone thinks of her. Kate looks gorgeous. Matt B. looks embarrassed.

  8. Nev says:

her Master Class episode on Oprah’s OWN was incredible.

  9. dorothy says:

Nothing says class like falling drunk into a car.

    • Jackie says:

i agree. so few female celebrities are aging with grace.

acting like this at one of her foundation events is beyond tasteless.

  10. buell says:

Looks like she went a little Overboard on the drinking.

  11. Newtsgal says:

Shocked that the paps didn’t think it was Lohan again!

  12. chloew says:

    I am LOVIN’ it!!!

she is inspiring me to have a few drinks today!

    love this woman, always have

and kate looks good – natural

  13. aenflex says:

    Bwaahahaha!! LOVE IT!

  14. badrockandroll says:

Funny how there are different levels of acceptance for different celebs. Goldie seems to get a pass for her fur, her excessive plastic surgery, for hanging on to her cheating younger man, for not dressing her age, for her sun-damaged skin and for repeated public drunkenness, all things that others on this site get slammed for.

I guess it all depends on how well liked the person is before they commit these “sins”, which likely explains why I’ve noticed them, since for whatever reason, I’ve never really been a fan.

At least she’s got a driver!

    • cr says:

“cheating younger man”? Kurt’s only 4 years younger than Goldie. Or is that not who you mean?

      • WillyNilly says:

And I wasn’t aware that Kurt cheated on her…she has said he has the freedom to roam but that isn’t cheating. So, would you like to rephrase that?

    • poppy says:

i like her and she looks like all sorts of hell in the face to me. booze is not her friend. agreed, smart to have a driver when you’re so ripped you don’t remember how to get into a car.

      • badrockandroll says:

Is it only 4 years? For some reason, I thought that it was 9 – shoulda looked it up before I posted!

    • Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

True. Usually when you see a post about someone who isn’t currently a fixture on the tabloid scene, a previously unknown poster shows up to make his or her profound admiration known and you never heard from him or her again. Goldie Hawn and her signature unbrushed hair will never be my favourite, but she’s universes away from the worst of celebrity.

    • MS says:

The fur is faux.. meanining, not real!

  15. MMF says:

@brin, how is a woman of 66 supposed to look. Since you’re obviously an expert?

    • brin says:

What does her age have to do with it? She looks like a drunk, desheveled mess.

      • Leigh says:

I suppose you’ve never looked like a drunk, disheveled mess? ever?… we should all be so lucky.. lol…

I’m just glad the few times I’ve looked and felt that way there were no paps there to catch me on film…

      • Jo 'Mama' Besser says:

What’s with the pile-on on brin? Good, bad or whatever, if you’re a celebrity and you get fall down drunk at your own charity function, someone is going to see. That’s calculated risk, nothing more. Whether you think that’s a big deal or not is one thing and that’s your prerogative, but what’s with the spite?

  16. lucy2 says:

I’d say she looks like a mess, but that is kind of her signature look.
Oh well, at least she had a good time and most importantly didn’t drive.

  17. Miss Marie says:

She had better be careful – she is at the age where one falls and breaks hips!

  18. serena says:

The only sober one seems to be Matt. LOL

  19. Anoni Mus says:

I wish she would cut her hair a bit. She’s had it like that for decades. Maybe a nice loose bob?

Other than that, she doesn’t look so bad, even though she’s had something done to her face alright.

Don’t care if she’s drunk, it was her night!

  20. Eileen says:

She’d be a blast to hang with!

  21. jano1981 says:

Don’t you guys think if she had had plastic surgury it would have been a neck jowl lift?? That is the only place she shows age and my mom is her age and that is the only thing that bothers her. I don’t think she had anything done cause those are her problem spots. U love how she seems to not do anything at least major to her face and just wears her crazy hair (a trademark of sorts for her) and smiles huge to look as her and feel as good as she can. I respect her so much for staying pretty natural.

    • badrockandroll says:

I don’t think that her eyes are the same shape that they were when she was a big movie star back in the 70s – They’ve been pulled & tweaked, as has the undereye area, and probably the cheeksm imo. And her forehead is awfullyly smooth compared to her hands and chest. She admits to having a boob job years ago. And her lips and hair are not at all natural. But I will admit my bias on this one – I’ve never gotten her appeal.

      • MS says:

Goldie is an absolute doll! She has had no plastic surgery except for the breast augmentation. As far as botox, lip fillers etc… I am certainly not an authority on that. She has always had gorgeous skin! When a woman ages, it is seen first in her neck, knees and hands. My gawd people, she is 66 years old, and I think she looks fabulous. Even though she had a little much, she is an icon.

The youngin’s on this thread are certainly showing their age and lack of knowledge!

      • badrockandroll says:

        I used to watch Laugh-In & not in re-runs!

Goldie’s hands, neck & decollatage have aged, just not parts of her face. That’s why I find her look jarring.

Helen Mirren and Goldie Hawn were born in the same year; two very different approaches to what looks good “at a certain age”.

  22. JM says:

Good for Goldie getting her drink on! This woman seems to live life to the fullest and is always happy. So she fell into the car, so what. She has no young children at home, hired a driver and kept her legs closed through the whole snaffu.

I couldn’t say if she’s had plastic surgery but her lips appear to fluctuate. Other than that, her face looks like it’s aging naturally.

  23. Cinesnatch says:

Some people just wear alcohol really well. I know that doesn’t sound right at all, but it makes sense inside my head.

If there was ever a celebrity I would want to party with, it’s Goldie Hawn.

    Who’s the older guy?

  24. the original bellaluna says:

“Lindsay Lohan is finally looking good!” Michael K, D-Listed.

I bet she’s fun to party with – I’d sure like the opportunity!

  25. Cel says:

She looks good here, but last week on Graham Norton her face looked like it was melting.

  26. Nancy C. says:

it always amazes me how people with ‘charmed’ lives think they can tell the rest of us how to deal with stress…but guess it does sell books.

  27. Onyx XV says:

I love Goldie, always have. I would not, however, say that she’s aging all that gracefully. She has had some unfortunate work done (she’s been messing with her lips for years) and has not had some work done that I would have done if I was her (neck and decolletage). But she’s still wonderful and I love that she still goes out and acts like a silly girl sometimes! I agree with the other posters who said she would be fun to have a few drinks with!

  28. WillyNilly says:

    OMG I want Kate’s coat.

  29. original sandy says:

i like goldie, and it is her night, but, it’ would be more appropriate not to be seen like this in public, who would take her advice on anything? drink, get drunk in private, not everything is for public consumption, they should have guarded her better and not allowed pictures taken. fun? yes, but not classy. IMO

    • Jill says:

Agree with Sandy. You can have fun without making a drunk spectacle of yourself.

Overall she’s looking good for 66 but she needs to trim her bangs and get a new hairstyle. She’s had that one forever and it isn’t working for her any more. The best hair she had was the very short crop she wore when she started out on “Laugh In”.

  30. mazzy says:

Yes, I *need* Kate’s coat — boring black but love the cut.
About Goldie, her main problem in looks appears to be sun damage — wear that sunscreen folks!
And I’ll give her a pass on the drunkenness — it was 4 in the morning (good for her, I sure can’t last that long). She did good work & looked put together earlier in the evening.

I like the mission of her foundation — which puts meditation/rest time in schools’ curriculum. I agree this is important & it’s too bad a special program is needed to mandate break time in schools — would think it’s common sense. Kids are wound up too tight these days (at least mine are).

  31. Meanchick says:

I love Goldie! Let her get her drink on!

  32. normades says:

I have nothing against getting your drink on if it’s a random night on the town, but this was a launch of a charity, for children!

Personally I think it’s out of line and embarrassing.

“10 Mindful Minutes: Giving Our Children–and Ourselves–the Social and Emotional Skills to Reduce Stress and Anxiety for Healthier, Happy Lives.” = drink excessive amounts and make a fool of yourself. Way to be a role model Goldie!

And Matt’s over gelled hair is gross.

    • Original Lucy says:

maybe the advice that Goldie gives in her book for lessening stress in our lives and our childrens lives is to get shit-faced…and she was showing us how its done…lol

  33. Jayna says:

Being a sloppy drunk is never pretty.

  34. Holden says:

This is how I always picture Goldie Hawn and am baffled by anyone who finds her attractive.

  35. Jill says:

    O. M. G. I googled a photo of Goldie sans makeup. YIKES!!!!

  36. original sandy says:

this is not the first time goldie was seen like this, a couple of weeks ago on tmz, she was with kirk, they showed her again leaving intoxicated getting in the back of a car, eyes closed, not passing judgment, just be careful, have people you trust around at times like this, remember whitney Houston last photos leaving a club the last time she was photograph, just sayin…

  37. cerulean says:

Goldie is much more charming and appealing than her daughter.
I think she would be a load of fun for a boozy night on the town. I have met her and she is really down to earth and nice. No airs or pretensions whatsoever.

Sometimes you don’t really realize how tipsy you are until the party is over and the alcohol hits you.

  38. midnightmoon says:

i heard goldie interviewed on the stephanie miller show about the hawn foundation. the work is really cool, long long long overdue. but watching goldie stagger about and fall into a car leaves me sad and cold. she is obviously dealing with SOMETHING. and kate is a mess. true dat. so SOMETHING is going on. anyway, good for goldie to have something to be proud of, but i’d say, in future, keep the drinkies to a minimum when you are out there promoting your life’s work. geez. that can’t be THAT hard to figure out. right?

  39. Trashaddict says:

I don’t think Kate looks like she was maintainin’, I think that look is the “I can’t believe my mom got so wasted in public I wish I wasn’t here” look.

  40. HungryHippo says:

I don’t get it! What is with you people? Can’t a woman even go out and get drunk anymore? We’ve all done it, I’m sure. Whats the big deal? Whats wrong with you people? smfh

  41. Dagmar says:

Goldie’s had really wrinkly skin for a long time which you could see on close ups but now she is all shiny and smooth – the results of a very deep chemical peel which always turns a prune into a teenager. I love looking at the before and afters as the women come out looking like their children but you can’t hide the sheen when the top layers of your demis is removed, a bit like a burn.
