Funnyman Adam Sandler and his wife, Jackie, announced the birth of their second child, born Nov. 2. The couple welcomed another daughter, named Sunny Madeline. Sunny joins her older sister, 2-year-old Sadie.

Adam Sandler is a big daddy again!

The comedian, 42, and his wife Jackie, 34, have welcomed their second child, he announced on Tuesday.

“Jackie and Adam had a beautiful baby girl, Sunny Madeline on November 2,” Sandler posted on his Web site. “Everyone is happy and healthy.”

Sandler joked that his wife had been suffering “all day” from morning sickness during his appearance on The Tonight Show With Jay Leno in May.

“In the beginning, I would rub her back and go, ‘It’s worth it. We’re going to have another beautiful baby, I love you, thanks for doing this,'” he said.

Their daughter Sadie is 2.

Of being a dad, Sandler has said, “It’s a lot of fun.

“You know what is surprising? That the kid looks through me. The kid… there’s no focus… Every time I think the kid likes me I’m like, ‘Oh, she’s staring at my forehead right now.'”

I guess it would be kind of fun to have Adam Sandler in the delivery room with you. I’d want him to sing funny songs whenever a contraction started. Or maybe we could watch “Mr. Deeds,” since that would be more painful than labor pains. Congrats to the couple and big sister Sadie. They seem like a close, happy family.

I love Adam Sandler. I know he is not that good looking, but he is my celebrity crush. I would totally adulterate with him, lol, j/k! I can’t help it, he seems like a real person. Congratulations to him and his family on the new baby. His wife is really pretty.

  2. Ellen Smith says:

I am sure the baby will be breathtaking like her sister.

  3. Michelle says:

You’re soooo wrong Ellen, funny, yet very, very wrong!!!

  4. MSat says:

I think Sadie’s cute. I especially appreciate that they dress her like a real kid, and not some china doll or accessory, like a certain other celebrity couple…..

  5. Ellen Smith says:

Why, Michelle, whatever do you mean?

  6. Michelle says:

Breathtaking?!?!? Not sure that is the right word! Cute, or looks like dad, maybe, but breathtaking, not so much!! 😀

  7. Ellen Smith says:

Michelle – I agree, but you obviously don’t get how funny I am. You’ve never seen the Seinfeld episode? Google “Seinfeld” and “breathtaking” and you’ll understand.

  8. Syko says:

I can think of places where I’d rather have Adam Sandler than the delivery room. I think he’s seriously hot.

I can’t believe you guys are picking on poor little Sadie’s looks. She looks just like her dad, and certainly that was not her choice. She may grow up to be a stunning woman, you never know.

    Congratulations to the Sandlers!

  9. Kaiser says:

Congrats to them – I really like the name. With a name like “Sunny” how could she not be happy?

  10. Ellen Smith says:

I have met several women named Joy and they are total pains in the neck. Those kinds of names are very difficult if your personality doesn’t match the name. I’ve also met my share of women named Hope who were “hopeless.” Sunny is a cute nickname, but as a formal name it subtly pressures the kid into living up to what the name means. What if she’s having a bad day and not in a “sunny” mood? What do we call her then?

  11. Ellen Smith says:

Syko – I pray for that little girl every day. Having a rich and famous father may not be enough.

  12. Michelle says:

I do remember that episode, I couldn’t remember if it was breathtaking or another airy word like that!!! LOL! YOU HAVE TO SEE THE BAAAAAABY!

  13. Syko says:

You still call her Sunny and hope for a mood change. I am not wild over the name either, but they are obviously going for double-S initials on both kids, and if they like it – well, it beats Sunday and Tuesday and Moon Unit and Peaches and all the other weird names. At least it’s sweet sounding.

Well, beauty is in the eye of, etc. – I think Sadie’s a cute little girl. All kids can’t be Suri Cruise, but I’d bet Sadie’s a lot healthier mentally.

  14. Michelle says:

Totally glad I am not the only one with urges to slather Adam in chocolate and…you know…or better yet let him slather me!!! I wonder if he is funny in bed too?

  15. Ellen Smith says:

I’m sure she’s a happy healthy child. We live in such an age of political correctness (on this website and others) that we can’t have a negative opnion about anything anymore. So what ends up happening is we all have these absolutely brilliant, gorgeous, well-mannered children, while in reality most of us have average looking kids with average intelligence and average personalities. The celebrities are no different.

  16. sandy says:

the U.K. just published a study saying most pretty girls get their facial attractiveness from their attractive fathers (eg. shiloh)
maybe adam s. and bruce w.are examples of the same in reverse- their daughters are getting their looks from their father’s facial unattactiveness.
    the study also concluded that
“beautiful parents have more daughters than ugly parents”.

  17. Syko says:

Lord knows I could care less about being politically correct. I’m too old to bother with that stuff any more. But I just think it’s a shame that people are making fun of a toddler’s appearance. She’s a little girl.

It’s one thing to gasp and gag about what some celebrity has done to themselves either through surgery or bad fashion choices, but it’s a whole other thing to laugh at a child.

Again, I’d like to offer up my adult classes at the YMCA called,”You’re not as Clever, Funny, Creative or Original as you Think: Naming Children for Hollywood Dumb-asses”.

  19. caribassett says:

Srsly? She is 2 years old. Yep, lets rush her off for some plastic surgery. Good Grief.

  20. Ellen Smith says:

To Caribassett: You’re assuming plastic surgery would help her.

  21. MonicaBee says:

I think he is utterly hot, as is his wife.

Their daughter is cute, too. She looks like her daddy!

Congrats to Adam, Jackie & Sadie!

  22. Jeanne says:

C’mon lighten up. We’ve all seen or known ugly babies or funny looking kids. Sometimes they’re even relatives and we have to put on a straight face and say, “Aw cute kid.” No one’s making fun of the kids to their face, and they shouldn’t be reading this website. Like we need more moral police on this site.
Sorry, the poor kid got stuck with dad’s looks. She’ll grow out of it. Sometimes ugly kids make pretty teens/adults.

  23. Marmot says:

I think Adam Sandler chose a wife that looks like a female version of himself. I wonder if it is narcissism or something more unconcious?

Lots of other celeb couple examples too: Noah Wylie and his wife spring to mind immediately…anyone else think so?

  24. Michelle says:

Not seeing it Marmot. I think she is very pretty. The only part of her that is similar to Adam is her lips are on the thinner side. Other than that different chin, nose, cheeks, eyes, boobs, you ge tthe point. What looks similar to you?
