With Gwyneth Paltrow’s abandonment (for Prada), Stella McCartney had to choose another fashion girl to dress for last night’s Met Gala. So… she went with Cameron Diaz. Is Cameron the next choice after Gwyneth? Is that insulting to Cameron? Or Gwyneth? Or both? So, here’s Camy in Stella. I hate to admit it, but this might be one of Stella’s better designs. I like how covered-up Cameron is from the front, with the sexy open back as she’s going. I’m a big advocate for The More Sleeves Movement. We need more sleeves on the red carpet! I get tired of everything strapless all the time.
I even have to compliment Stella McCartney on the fit of this dress on Cameron. You can really see Camy’s wonderful figure, but it doesn’t feel trashy, I think. Does anyone else think Camy has gained some weight? I do. And I think it looks really good on her too. This is also one of the first times I’ve seen Cameron post-boob-job where I can really tell that she’s got bolt-ons. This dress makes her look very busty. As for the styling and such… Cameron’s face looks good. Not too Botoxy or waxy. Her hair’s kind of mess, but it’s a simply, uncomplicated mess. I like her simple jewelry too.
I’m including a photo of Cameron and Stella together. All of the photos claim the woman on the far right is M.I.A. Is that really her? She looks really different. Oh, and Stella looks awful! Why would she wear THAT to the Met Gala?

The dress is okay, even though it’s hard to make a dress look bad on Cameron Diaz…she has a great body. Glad she’s no longer on the super-woman-muscle-trip on which she was with A-Rod!

Look at the butt side of the back. Those boxy shapes makes Cami’s butt look like an ugly square. You know Cami has a nice butt. The front looks too old fashion. Do not like. Thumbs down.

Yes, What are those butt boxes?! Overall the fit is not working because she has a great figure and yet she looks frumpy.
Stylewise, the dress reminds me of something Angie Dickinson would have worn to the Emmy’s circa 1978.

Hideous. The odd butt panels were the first thing I noticed, then I saw the front had a weird pattern at the waist as well. It’s like it’s designed to be a shapeless old lady sheath.

Her boobs look wonky! They seem to migrate all over her torso. Its the fabric and lighting on the dress I think. The dress is very boring, been done hundreds of times already and therefor imo not suitable at all for this gala.
I like the back, but from the front I get the feeling she’s wearing granny panties and I’m not sure why that is..

I was getting tired of her tiny short dresses. She has beautiful legs but she shouldn’t flash them everytime, that might be trashy and teenager-ish.

I don’t like it at all either. Weird lines around the bust, and strange panel on the butt. Gawdawful horrid dress. And the Something About Mary hair is the cherry on top.
I want to like it and I do like parts of it but the overall effect..meh. The back stitching with the individual b@utt check “pockets” do nothing for what is undoubtedly a usually gorgeous @ss.It would have been better if the fabric had just draped over her bum. The front is a little too “Dynasty” but it’s a nice silhouette.

Though the design on her lower backside takes away from the dress, it fits Cami perfectly. It’s nice to see her dressed as a sophisticated adult for once instead of something too low or high cut. Agree the added weight is perfect, and her figure is stunning.

Cameron’s makeup and hair look great. I love the shade of lipstick – glad to see her lose the harsh red.
Like every Stella M. design, the dress is a bit off. What is with the square ass pads on the back? Why are there all those seam lines on the back? That strap thing across the back looks like a low exposed bra strap or some kind of device to keep the dress in place.
The dress does look better from the front, but Cameron’s bolt-ons don’t make her look sexier – they make her look matronly.

I think she looks much better than she’s looked in a while. The hair style is odd but looks good out of her face, and she definitely looks more age appropriate than she usually does. The dress is pretty – first Stella design I’ve ever liked.

I love this dress. It is one of the few of Stella McCartney’s that I ever liked. The back of the dress is gorgeous. Very classy and tasteful. I wonder why Gwynnie is wearing Stella? Did Cameron get first pick?

But Cameron Diaz has a slightly thicker waist an flatter bum, and this just highlights all that. Wrong choice, but good dress.
