Enquirer: John Travolta is a secret cross-dresser & Kelly Preston has dumped him

Masseur-Gate has gotten sad and rather anticlimactic (no pun intended). Thank goodness The National Enquirer is here to give us a belly laugh. No, of course John Travolta isn’t a sad, sweaty pervert who assaults and gropes strange men in hotel rooms across America (and Australia, and Canada, and…). OF COURSE NOT. How could he when his problem is obviously being a closeted cross-dresser? That seems to be The Enquirer’s take – after running so many stories about Travolta boning dark, lithe men in spas, now The Enquirer is all about Travolta loving to cross-dress.

He’s been accused of sexually assaulting male masseurs – but today John Travolta was heaped with fresh embarrassment after photos surfaced of him cross-dressing. The Pulp Fiction star appears in full drag – and the pictures, published in this National Enquirer, are allegedly not for a film role.

In the snaps, the 58-year-old actor is wearing a white dress, brown belt, fur stole, earrings and a necklace. A bra is even visible beneath the knit frock. He also wears a face full of makeup, including thick black eyeliner and pearly pink lipstick as well as a blonde wig pulled back into a ponytail.

The photos were obtained by The National Enquirer from a party in Los Angeles that John attended in 1997, just six years after marrying Kelly Preston. In another bitter twist of fate, the magazine claims that his wife of over twenty years has left him in the wake of his cross-dressing scandal.

A ‘friend’ of the actress’ says: ‘Kelly told me their marriage is over and made it clear that she’s no longer living in the family home. She’s put up with John’s double life for decades while his behaviour remained in the shadows. But all this coming out in public has humiliated her. Kelly is absolutely destroyed.’

No doubt his children, Ella, 12, and Benjamin, 18 months, will be affected by this recent scandal.

John is certainly no stranger to dressing up in drag. He wore women’s clothing on the big screen as Edna Turnblad in the 2007 silver screen adaptation of Broadway musical Hairspray. Though his tongue-in-cheek role had many laughing, this current photo scandal is certainly no laughing matter in the wake of recent reports that he sexually assaulted male masseurs.

[From The Mail]

At some point, does the media’s treatment of Travolta’s alleged (LOL) homosexuality become offensive? What I’m saying is 1) first the media treated John Travolta with kid gloves, even in the wake of now seven (or more) men claiming that Travolta assaulted them. I think the media would be treating Travolta differently if this was a heterosexual scandal, if women were accusing Travolta of assault. 2) Now the tabloid media is throwing outdated stereotypes at Travolta – like, because he’s “gay” he must be a “cross-dresser” too, when there is a lot of psychological data to suggest that many cross-dressing men identify as heterosexual, and many gay men do not cross-dress. Do I need to make a VENN diagram?

That being said, would I believe John Travolta is a “secret” cross-dresser? Eh. I believe John has a “secret” life where he does all manner of things that would shock and appall me. I think cross-dressing is pretty much a non-starter, if true.

I can believe he could cross dress. I just can’t believe his look would be this down market, though.

    • Maguita says:

LOL! This makes me sad for him. Living his life this far away in the closet, and having it forcefully spring cleaned in such a public manner.

If only he did not give in to his predatory leanings, if only he had respect to homosexuals, he would not perceive them as objects at his service to be manhandled.

I’m starting to believe this man is an out and about misandrist.

      • Lady D says:

Hey Maguita, I learned a new word today (that wasn’t medical in nature). Never heard the word misandrist before. Thanks for the education, always appreciated.

      • Maguita says:

^I sincerely hope I’m not coming across like an uppity snobbish little sh-t?

And hey, I use Misogynist often enough, a bit of tit for tat (literally) is good balance 😉

      • gg says:

Not snobbish at all – we all need to learn new things; gives us an excuse to read online tabloids! LOL Thanks for the lesson!

      • MW says:

I had to look up that word too! Besides that though, your comment is exactly I feel. I wonder if JT now wonders if he could have dealt with his issues differently, or if still feels entitled and justified? Just sad on so many levels.

      • Maguita says:

🙂 Thank you ladies, very kind of you!

      • ZenB!tch says:

Misandrist and self-loathing – I know a few women who are mysogynist and self-loathing so why not John. However, the women are insecure heteros.

I think JT’s view of these men as objects is more of an ego thing from being an A-List a-hole whose every need was catered to and who probably had as many gay men falling at his feet as women back in the 70s. I don’t think he gets that we no longer think he is hot. I never did. I can make the excuse that I was 7 when Grease came out but I had other tween idols.

We all love to to off on Michael Bay and Brett Ratner’s mysogynist f*ck website and to me JT is no different. I don’t think he would be any more respectful had he come out of the closet. He’s a perv who uses his power to get easy sex. The difference being that in 20 years it will still work for Bay since alas he will still be making films. “Dah-ling, I can make you a STAH!”

Look at what Tara Reid is dating.

      • MyCatLoves TV says:

CB the most intellectual blog on the net! I learned a new word today and I totally agree with your assessment. Anybody who forces their sexual organs on unwilling individuals is not only a monster but also has a deep disrespect (hatred?) for those being abused. You don’t abuse people you respect or care at all for in this manner.

      • Maguita says:

🙂 Thank you! And I absolutely agree that CB is a holy-gossip mecca of intellect.

    • thyphoid mary says:

Cross dressing sounds pretty tame…compared to the attrocities men and women in Hollywood do behind closed doors. I truly believe there are pretty sick people in that field. Not that it doesnt happen elsewhere, but Hollyweird has a variety of psychos with means and connections to keep that can of worms tightly sealed.

      • Marie Antoinette Jr. says:

ITA with you, mary–I’ve always thought that perverts of all types are drawn to show business and hollywood in particular because there are so many young, beautiful people there willing to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to advance their careers.

  2. lisa says:

I find it very interesting too why the media is going so light on HIM.. Tiger was hung out to dry. And so was Jessie James and even John Edwards.. This is not getting the media coverage one would expect. I don’t know if it is because John was with “men” or it is because he doesn’t have a movie out

I just SMH at the way some are treated differently.. Not only by the media but the public too.

    • Jackie says:

i don’t get it either. they seem to either be in denial or feel sorry for him. i guess harassment isn’t a big deal for some.

    • Tapioca says:

Well, with Tiger Woods it was a shock to the public given his squeaky clean image and with John Edwards there was the whole issue of him using campaign funds to cover his tracks and his wife suffering from cancer, whereas EVERYONE already knows JT is fond of the fellas and Kelly turns a blind eye for money/prestige/CO$ reasons.

Elin, Sandy & Liz were also tabloid-friendly “victims”, while KP sold her soul to Xenu and – in much of the public’s mind – let her son die for her cult, so who really gives a s**t?

(Although I do agree that there is the issue that a man groping a man is seen as a less serious crime than if the victim were female.)

      • TheFactsR says:

What a shame, a sexual assault is a sexual crime no matter who, what, where, when!

Kelly, I find, IS the sickening part of the picture that she continues to use denial of his unfaithful acts and his bold actions of betrayal.

As for the media, I think they went soft (no pun intended) on John because he did just loose a son not long ago, as for Kelly the media went soft for the reason of the son also.

I do think they played a big part in the demise of their son. I think to leave him in the Bahamas is denial in itself just as JT’s sexual mis-conduct.

      • CassandraT says:

I just want to say something about the Kelly Preston angle.

Shes getting really bad rap but to my mind she is the bigger victim in all of this. She has 2 kids with the guy, she could walk away with half the assets & child support, so I dont think this is about the cash anymore. I think its about the brainwashing religion that tells you to put aside your own needs to “help this man who can be reformed if only you were a better wife”. Or more womanly as my former pastor once said to me.

I speak from experience having stayed 2 years with a man I knew to have had atleast one same-sex affair. Its a long and harrowing story but I just needed to say that Kelly is most probably the biggest victim in all of this.

      • Lady D says:

“CassandraT, glad to hear he’s former. That is just harsh.

    • Viv says:

I think it may be because every journalist putting his byline on a critical piece knows he can expect the CO$ to call and harass him. Relentless stalkers.

      • Marjalane says:

You probably have it right; I wondered why this was only being covered in the tabs. Sometimes the bigger outlets wait for confirmation before they print stuff- ala John Edwards- even when they KNOW the story is true. If he was a politician it’d be everywhere!

      • gg says:

I think that plays a bigger part than people might immediately realize. I feel terrible for Kelly and the kids.

I also can’t get the image out of my mind of all these stories of him lying down, trying to make his ass get in the way of the massage. How in hell does one do that – it seems like disco dancing face-down on a table. 😕 If you are humming Saturday Nite Fever right now, I’m with ya.

    • Marie Antoinette Jr. says:

They went after Tiger so harshly because he is threatening. A young, virile, intelligent, accomplished BLACK athlete is a threat to most white men, and white men run the world—including what gets printed in tabloids. (Rupert Murdoch anyone?)

On the other hand, John Travolta, an aging, effeminate, overweight cult member, is threatening to no one….unless of course you are a masseuse at a high end spa!

      • Steve says:

        Tiger Woods is not black

      • Marie Antoinette Jr. says:

Ha ha. That’s right, I meant Caublasion.

      • RdyfrmycloseupmrDvlle says:

Jesus H Christ. Do we really have to make this a black/white thing?? Really?
White men do not run the world. Corporations run the world and they have no color.

      • Marie Antoinette Jr. says:

Rdy, Look at the board of directors and executives of every major corporation in the world INCLUDING MEDIA, and then come and tell me corporations “have no color.”

Tiger Woods got a lot more attention because he appeals to the most desired demographic–affluent men between the ages of 20 and 50 (approx). It’s just a fact that the majority of those men, in the western world anyway, are white. The people who are interested in JT are mostly women 40 and up who grew up with him as a heart throb: Vinnie Barbarino and Danny Zuko. They are not the desired demographic, and so John Travolta is never going to face the backlash that happened to Tiger.

And I’m not trying to make this a “black/white” thing. I’m sorry if I offended you, Rdy.

      • Really? says:

Marie Antoinette, i followed the Tiger story with the same amount of shock and fascination every other red-blooded gossip hound did, and i gotta say, until reading your take here, never, ever once did it ever, ever occur to me that it had one iota to do with his skin color! Your color spin on it is the first time i have ever even let the concept enter my mind. For me, it was not at all about color, it was about a very famous, very rich, very talented, very accomplished, man, a man who had fallen down so low from such a high, high place. That was what was truly shocking for me, such natural God given talent and sheer golfing genius…in my opinion, Tiger totally transcended any form of color barrier, and i found it kind of sad, yet typical, i guess, that you could actually have the gumption or spiritual energy to even conceptualize the issue of racism as having any part at all to do with it. Sadly it was the marital barrier he transcended, and with such flaming and flying colors! I realize that’s life and we’re all entitled to our opinions, but it’s also interesting to note the amount of perception/projection that is involved as well. We look at the same picture and see two totally different stories. And that’s one of the main reasons why racism still exists. It’s really sad. As for Travolta, i see far more differences than similarities in their two stories, and it’s that reason, rather than black and white, that his story might unfold in a manner different to Tiger’s. Anyway, that’s just my take on it. Don’t mind me. I’m color blind. Thanks for sharing.

TheFactsR: I don’t think they had anything to do with their son’s death. His life expectancy was pretty grim because he obviously had drug resistant epilepsy. A neighbor had that, it was a good month if he had just a few grand mal seizures and scads of petit mal. His short term and long term memory was fried from the seizures and the side effects of all the meds being tried. Jett’s parents did what they could to give him a pleasant life for however long they would have him. They obviously had him under treatment regardless of the CoS odd ideas about such things, no matter what they had to say in public. But the nature of the disease meant there was a point at which you have to take a break from the meds and the damage they’re doing, it’s a miserable risk either way. Jett could have been on multiple meds and still had the seizure that killed him. Really, drug resistant epilepsy is hell. Fortunately, most epileptics respond well to meds and get to have a normal life.

      • notsofast says:

I have drug resistant epilepsy and believe me, I will out live a lot of people. It isn’t fun, but one can have multiple seizures a day/week etc and not be destined for an early grave. I only point this out because if my 14 year old self read your comment I would have been terrified. Let’s stick to gossip and leave medicine to the specialists 🙂

  3. Lilalis says:

They try to make pictures from 1997 into a scandal? See John, this is what happens if you stay in the closet too long.

  4. Dorothy#1 says:

He looks so happy int those Hairspray pictures. 😉

    • brin says:

      And now we know why.

      • TheFactsR says:

This is NOT about his same sex desires but about betrayal of marriage, and his sex by assault, the multiples.

Some are making this out as he is gay, while the fact be true, their IS a larger picture here.

        1) Betrayal of marriage

        2) assault

        3) multiples

      • Yes, I'm that Leah says:

        John’s been gay…..Kelly knew it.

  5. Gwen says:

I feel like this could be the COS throwing Kelly a way out. They couldn’t reign in John, so to save Kelly from loosing her pride they’re now outing him as someone who hid things from her, so she’ll get sympathy instead of questions about why she hooked up with a gay man.

    • jc126 says:

Interesting point. I wonder if the rumors are true that Travolta no longer believes in the COS.

I saw yet another blind about Kelly’s mysterious first child yesterday. The one she had with Kevin Gage. I really think that she is no prize, either; let’s think back on that recent “pregnancy” she had.

    • RocketMerry says:

I agree that this seems like Co$ doing.

Yesterday I got to thinking: maybe John was leaving the “church” for good (surprise-pregnancy didn’t work to keep him “in”, I guess) and the Co$ needed to scare/punish him.

You make a good point, at this stage they probably want to save Kelly’s face in all this mess. The “betrayed” and “unaware” wife whose pity party will never end *Rolls eyes, hard. Ouch!*

      • jc126 says:

I’ve seen a few blinds to that effect, that he wants to leave and no longer believes in that nonsense.

I will never understand how people fall for this C0$ crap, flattery or whatever they do. It’s such garbage.

    • TheFactsR says:

Kelly doesn’t want out!Plain and simple.

She is one of those women who give the rest of us a bad name by always playing the victim. Her personality comes across loud and strong to be use to playing the victim.

    • gg says:

I don’t think they would ever do that unless he was actively fighting them on something big. Which I don’t think is happening – I see their bulldog lawyers fighting for him at the moment.

    • RdyfrmycloseupmrDvlle says:

No, this is the Co$ punishing JT for leaving. Flat out. Punishment. They are makeing a clear example out of him.

  6. Roma says:

So asulting men – okay. Cross dressing – I’m leaving you.

Just trying to follow the Kelly logic here and I’ve got nothing.

    • TheFactsR says:

Kelly doesn’t want out!Plain and simple.

She is one of those women who give the rest of us a bad name by always playing the victim. Her personality comes across loud and strong to be use to playing the victim.

    • Agnes says:

excellent point, i was just thinking – the cross-dressing was the straw that broke the camel’s back? NOT assaulting others? wow.

    • CassandraT says:

Kelly is a victim of brainwashing. Who wants a husband who would rather be in bed with someone else? Who doesnt find you irresistable? It cant be about money, she would be very well taken care off in a divorce settlement.

This is about her. Her previous poor choices in men (C Sheen actually shot her – poor girl) and her religion. Shes probably convinced that if she is dutiful and loving, he will change. And that she must avoid all detractors because they are evil and wish to destroy her home.

It may sound silly but theres a whole bunch of us who are fed that line by our religions. Over 5% of marriages are mixed orientation marriages where the straight individual believes that it is their fault for not being alluring enough. I’ve been there. Kelly is to be pitied not attacked.

      • Roma says:

I will not pity someone who stays with a man who is assaulting people.

This isn’t a gay issue, this isn’t a poor Kelly has self esteem issue, this is about a man who is sexually assaulting other men and she is ignoring it all.

      • gg says:

Except for this: The Co$ is NOT a religion, it’s a brainwashing cult that shuts out the outside world. NO OTHER RELIGION REQUIRES people to give their life’s savings and life’s credit limits by force, threatening them that their “soul is in mortal danger of destruction” (their quote to my friend) if they don’t pay up.

So please don’t start the religion argument. This crazy org is all by itself in left field.

      • ZenB!tch says:

@Roma – maybe this cross dressing thing is her pleading with the CO$ for a way to let her get out of her marriage.

  7. Fyofeelings says:

I wouldn’t put it past him to be a cross dresser.

  8. Eve says:

If only he was just a cross dresser — because there’s nothing offensive about that.

    Now, sexually assaulting people…

    • Agnes says:

      agreed.

    • T.C. says:

Eve on point as usual. It’s sickening that people don’t have a problem with sexual assault of men. No, he isn’t just gay he is a predator taking advantage of minority workers whose employers leave them at his mercy.

  9. RuddyZooKeeper says:

The dots don’t connect. Cross dressing–does that imply he would identify more with the feminine or the submissive? The assault claims sort of fly in the face of that, suggesting the “male” or the aggressor. Is any of this supposed to make sense?

  10. dorothy says:

Just come out of the closet already!

  11. Izzards Chick says:

wearing womens clothing doesnt mean youre gay. Matter of fact the Great Izzard himself is straight. And being a secret cross dresser doesnt make you sexually assault people while you are in a position of power. Sexual assault is assault whether youre wearing a Viking hat and a wetsuit, womens dresses or a massage towel.
The diff between Tiger and JT is this…Tigers women were not only willing, they were jumping thru hoops to get at his “bathing suit area”. JT was forcing his “bathing suit area” on unsuspecting employees. He is no “Tiger” nor is this a “Tigeresque” situation. This is a criminal complaint. Tiger was just a man Ho.

    • TheFactsR says:

A betraying man ho with multiples. People are connecting JT and Tiger for the 1) multiples 2) betrayal of his marriage

Now JT has a number 3) assault

  12. Lee says:

I think the thing is that a secret male cross dresser looks kind of pathetic and ridiculous. In Hollyweird, that cannot translate to box office. So this is a career killer to a greater degree than being outed as a sexually aggressive (possibly criminal) degenerate. Together, though, this has to mean he is finished. And really, he has only himself to blame – no one would care if he was “out”, but the fact he’s constructed a straight life facade makes the revelations even more seedy.

    • gg says:

I think the phony facade is the key issue with people’s outrage here. He has not been discrete and it clashes with his gay denial.

    • ZenB!tch says:

No one in Hollywood would blink at a cross dresser. Do people in Middle America who go to his movies really think being a cross dresser is worse than being an (alleged) sexual predator?

I think Middle America has accepted he is gay. They certainly accepted him as a woman married and still attracted to Christopher Walken.

  13. CTgirl says:

JT as a cross dresser and/or gay. Is this really news?

  14. TXCinderella says:

I don’t see Kelly leaving. I just don’t think she’d give up the lifestyle that she has become accustomed to. Because they are COS members, I don’t see them splitting up. I think they will work through this quietly.

    • TheFactsR says:

Kelly doesn’t want out”Plain and simple”.

She is one of those women who give the rest of us a bad name by always playing the victim.

Her personality comes across loud, clear and strong that she is does play the victim.

      • EmmaStoneWannabe says:

You have posted this exact comment at least 3 times throughout this thread already lol

      • Jessie says:

Shut up. She doesn’t give “us women” a bad name. She can do whatever she wants with her life. It’s like saying gay people give “us straight people” a bad name.

    • Lucy says:

She doesn’t have to give up her lifestyle if she leaves him. They’ve been together a LONG time. And like someone else said, this gives her a way out…a VERY public one. There is no way to quietly or privately work through this now.

  15. Maritza says:

So he dressed as a woman to go to a party, it must have been Halloween… big deal!

    • Kimbob says:

      Right….I’m w/you….this is such a non-story (by the Enquirer, I mean).

I do appreciate that Kaiser points out the fallacies regarding cross-dressing.

I will say this. I was married for 8 years & “discovered” my ex was really homosexual, not hetero. It effed me up BAD! And no, my ex wasn’t into cross-dressing….never! Although after I had divorced him, I was subpoenaed to testify in a trial in which his “new” wife was trying to get custody of her child from a previous marriage….(yes, you all read right….he likes to get married since a legitimate wife makes a good beard…ugh!) BTW, his “new wife” is nothing but a gold-digger…in that “marriage” for his $$$. She found out about him being gay after she married him because after I left him of course I had to vent to some of my friends. Since this “new wife” was in it for the $$$, no one bothered to tell her about him being gay until AFTER she married him….and…it didn’t matter to her….again…chasing the almighty dollar…they’re still married. But anyway, I had no choice but to testify (what was I gonna do…lie about it & get in trouble, like my attorney said).

What my point here is in that particular trial, the opposing counsel (attorney for the plaintiff), was falsely accusing in his paperwork that my ex was a cross-dresser. I had to “correct” them on that one. It’s almost like everyone “assumes” because a man is gay, that he’s a cross-dresser & “desires to really be a woman,” which is farthest from the truth.

    • Esmom says:

I know. And you gotta love the blue “Not from a movie!” thingy right next to it. Lame.

And like Kaiser said, their portrayal of homosexuality is getting offensive. As if cross-dessing is somehow a crime.

  16. Viv says:

Kelly is probably not so much worried about him dressing up for costume parties than she is about him playing hide-the-salami in sauna clubs.

    • ZenB!tch says:

She was aware of that. If she really is looking for an out she had to make something a little more dignified up. Well she and CO$.

    • lamb says:

Does anyone think she has sex with JT, and, if so, is AIDs not still scary?

  17. Gia says:

I honestly think that there are tonnes of Hollywood closet cases, living public lives as wholesome married men. I also think that there are a lot of people shaking in their boots at the thought of what’s happening to JT happen to them. The media is going easy because they are trying to protect the myth…I know I sound like a conspiracy theorist, but I absolutely believe its true. Hollywood is a cesspool.

    • Zelda says:

I agree insofar as that there is a lot of coverup in Hollywood about who is gay.

But it’s business. Middle America (and “middle” other countries) wouldn’t buy tickets if they knew the leads of films were “f*gs and d*kes”.

So this really makes the rest of society the cesspool, to be fair.

    • TheFactsR says:

I couldn’t agree more. I think many in “H-wood” are praying this doesn’t come out about them. JT did tell one of the victims that is how he “Slept his way to the top”, so their are far more than anyone wants to admit.

I have heard of a certain pro dancer who has done the very same thing and continues to do so. You all know her!

I have also heard many of the ‘H-wood’ stars are active escorts(sex for hire).

Stacy K comes to mind really fast.

Hollywood is a cesspool and the ignorant fools pay for cable and movies to watch that crap every day!

      • Gia says:

And check this out… Just read it in ‘popbitch’:
What people were asking in March 2004

        From Issue 202:
“A weighty Hollywood leading man goes
to an upscale day spa in LA every few
months to look for a massage therapist
to work on the set of his new movie. The
management arrange it for him to ‘audition’
           willing male therapists.

“One of the masseurs who auditioned recently
says that a few minutes into the massage the
high-flying movie star pulled off the towel,
pointed at his wanger and said ‘I’m kind of
tight in this area. Can you do some work
here?’ The masseur declined. He wasn’t
           chosen for the movie job.”

    • Veruca says:

      Amen, Gia! ITA.

  18. Lucy says:

That pic has to be pretty old, look how slim he looks!

  19. Masque says:

I think the media’s kid gloves are becuase they are accusing JT of a crime against unwilling men. Tiger and Jesse just cheated on their wives with VERY willing women.

Calling someone a douche is one thing. Calling someone a criminal is a lot more serious.

    • TheFactsR says:

Going a little soft too for the fact kelly did just loose a son not long ago and did have a trial which both were NOT GUILTY! So every reasonable reasoning points to going soft on them.

And Tiger just didn’t “cheat” on his wife, instead “TIGER CHEATED ON HIS WIFE”

      • Veruca says:

Not be snarky, but do you think that the brainwashing/victim thing explains how she pretends her first child doesn’t exist?

All I remember about Kelly is that she dated EVERYONE in the 80s (it’s well established here that I’m old), and always seemed to be gunning for the fame and the cash without having to do the actual work.

I just can’t with her. She has the depth of a Kleenex.

      • sillysally says:

@Veruca: But when Kelly married Travolta in 1991 he was a has-been actor hounded by gay rumors. Pulp Fiction didnt come along until the mid-90s. The man was no catch.

Not disputing the fame-whoring but I think being shot by your bf may make you rethink your relationship choices. I think she joined that cult, met a guy who treated her like a humanbeing and was convinced that the “gay thing” could be cured.

As others have pointed out above me, she is probably manipulated by that cults beliefs to put his interests first before her own needs. Which makes me very sympathetic towards her.

      • Veruca says:

Fair enough — I’m not unsympathetic to the whole cult phenomenon. I lost a cousin to Reverend Moon, and my brother to Ramtha for 20 years. The difference for me was they were young adults who chose to walk their own path. They cut off their families (my bro somewhat, my cousin altogether), but they didn’t have children to deny.

As a mom of an autistic child, I know people can be twisted and selfish enough to abandon their kids, but I guess I’m still naive enough to have a hard time accepting it.

  20. corny says:

What’s the big fuss, he can be an actor and an actress at the same time, seems quite the talent and a plus size model too

  21. fabgrrl says:

I have to believe that John Travolta has better taste in women’s clothes than THAT! Visible bra, cheap clothes, crappy make-up, chest hair? No way. If he cross dresses, he does it right! That OLD photo looks more like your typical man dressing in lady clothes for a party, not someone truly in drag.

  22. Mar says:

Kelly knew he was gay. She was an actress that couldn’t really make it big so she married a major movie star so she could be his beard and have companionship.

Now that he’s gotten so sloppy about it- she is embarrassed and wants out.

  23. Anguishedcorn says:

He makes a much more attractive woman than man.

  24. Dee Cee says:

He can do what he wants.. but to continually harass someone for sex once they said no and you might get sued and exposed.. and take that dare..isn’t hard to understand he will get caught and publicly exposed to this kind of publicity?
Sexual harassment is intimidation, bullying or coercion of a sexual nature, or the unwelcome or inappropriate promise of rewards in exchange for sexual favors.
In most modern legal contexts sexual harassment is illegal. As defined by EEOC, “It is unlawful to harass a person (an applicant or employee) because of that person’s sex.” Harassment can include “sexual harassment” or unwelcome sexual advances, requests for sexual favors, and other verbal or physical harassment of a sexual nature.

Harassment does not have to be of a sexual nature, however, and can include offensive remarks about a person’s sex. For example, it is illegal to harass a woman by making offensive comments about women in general.

Both victim and the harasser can be either a woman or a man, and the victim and harasser can be the same sex.

Although the law doesn’t prohibit simple teasing, offhand comments, or isolated incidents that are not very serious, harassment is illegal when it is so frequent or severe that it creates a hostile or offensive work environment or when it results in an adverse employment decision (such as the victim being fired or demoted, or when the victim decides to quit the job).

  25. Anon says:

Truth is stranger than fiction, wouldn’t be the first time a star actually played real life, maybe to even say–no, that was a movie role.
    End COS.

  26. name says:

    leave him alone.

    • Izzards Chick says:

maybe thats what some Spa managers shouldve said to JT when he requested they come back to finish the “massage”

    • Jackie says:

this is the type of response i just don’t get. serial cheating and sexual harassment get a pass?

why does JT get a pass and other men, who have done less, don’t?

    • deep says:

Leave him alone?? Are you for real? If there was a sexual pervert assaulting people in your family would you say leave them alone? If these accusations are proven true, JT needs to pay for his crimes just like anyone else would have too. But, his money is going to get him out of this. Now that’s wrong.

      • gg says:

Also, I have a problem with severe fakers whose public image is completely false. Yes there are a lot of them in Hollywood, and when I find out somebody is false, I stop liking them because their existence is a bunch of BS.

Have some accountability and genuineness is all I’m askin.

  27. Ginger says:

To each his own….I’ve always loved him, think he’s a great actor and his personal life is just that…personal! I can’t say that I agree with him groping men against their will, that just isn’t cool and he should be called out to address those issues. But in my estimation, there’s no way Kelly Preston hasn’t know about John’s extra curricular activities all along. People work their marriages out their own way and if they’re happy and it works for them, no one else should have an opinion about it!

    • Veruca says:

I don’t generally have opinions on how couples live their lives, unless they’re trying to sell me a product (in this case, themselves) and put themselves out there as something they’re not.

I just don’t like frauds, and I truly believe if more and more closeted people would start to come out now they’ll reap the benefits of NPH, Adam Lambert, and Jim Parsons. Their careers are doing quite well, so it would seem if someone is talented people just don’t care.

I didn’t ask J & K to market themselves as a happy, heterosexual couple. They chose to create and profit from that crap, so I have the option to sling it at them, too.

**This same rule applies to politicians. So, I like none of them.

  28. Amy says:

Maybe this is inappropriate, but I got a chuckle out of the “not from a movie!” classification.

  29. deep says:

If all of these sexual assault claims were not true, JT would be suing like crazy. I believe them. Too many coming out of the wood work for this not to be true. And, JT is being too quiet. Somethings not right here. And, I don’t feel sorry for Kelly. I believe she knew exactly what she was getting into when she married him. And, she was fine with his sexuality. Which is fine by me. But this isn’t a person being gay..which I have not problem with. The is sexual assault..and that’s against the law. So..throw the book at him!!

  30. lisa says:

I just think it is funny how the media will cover stories of cheating and whatever when there are NO FACES or names to the stories at all. Writing as if fake stories are real. I don’t know if these allegations are true or not. But I thin so many people have such a double standard and will go full force on some celebs and not others. Even when the attacks they are making are pure gossip and no proof at all.

  31. Marcia says:

You know what weird? That Katie and Tom sort of mirror them. Sort of. Kelly Preston said that she saw a poster for one of John’s movies while she was in line somewhere and she told the person she was with “I’m going to marry that man someday.”

As for Katie Holmes I don’t t hink she had a crush on Tom Cruise (I think that has been misreported or changed around). I was under the impression her (much) older sisters had crushes on him. Buth she did go on to see that she’d see his pictures up on their walls or in their magazines and that she thought he was cute.

Both couples are scientologists. Any connection?

  32. Navy Blue says:

Travolta upset the CO$. That is what this is. This stuff would have come out a long time ago if they didn’t have his back before. Now they aren’t protecting him. Kelly Preston is no victim either. She just cared about living the Hollywd lfestyle. Lots of people sold their souls to this cult for that. Cruise too.

  33. mayamae says:

I think fear of CO$ is an unspoken reason for downplaying this story.

But, I think there may be a second reason. Times have changed – for the better I would say. It is no longer acceptable to be openly homophobic.

Now, we all know that this is sexual harassment at the least and has absolutely nothing to do with sexual preference.

  34. skuddles says:

Wait… Kelly put up with JT cheating on her a zillion times during their marriage (not to mention sexually assaulting massage therapists) but cross dressing is grounds for divorce??

    • deep says:

Good point..I think the cross dressing is a non issue for her..it’s the everybody knowing what a pervert he is that has possibly made her come to her senses. She has just been along for the ride thus far. She knew he went both ways when she married him. She likes being rich. But, it’s only rumors flying around that she has left. No official statement as of yet.

      • skuddles says:

Hey deep, thanks for the feedback 🙂 I figured as soon as this scandal hit that Kelly would end up divorcing John – not because she’s been in the dark about his secret life all these years, but because she would not be able to withstand the torrent of humiliation coming her way. She probably feels she must leave him to preserve what’s left of her dignity and credibility… I suspect we’ll hear a legit announcement fairly soon.

      • deep says:

Your welcome Skuddles and you are probably right re the announcement coming soon.

      • Maguita says:

Or she is leaving him because either the CoS (from which apparently she is a fervent and active member) is quitting John, or John is truly coming out and quitting the church.

      • skuddles says:

Right of course Maguita, excellent point. Kelly would have no choice in that case…I have to say I really hope JT does leave the church – time to start living his life in an open and honest way (and stop harassing/abusing massage therapists!). Should be interesting to see what happens this next while…

    • ZenB!tch says:

She can’t admit he is gay and that the children are the result of artificial insemination. She and CO$ had to come up with something and regular old cheating won’t work here.

      Is the Enquirer CO$?

  35. jwoolman says:

Doesn’t that rag think everybody is a cross-dresser?

  36. palermo says:

My feelings on Kelly are this: I believe she always knew the deal, right from the start. She got the lifestyle of the rich and famous without having to do much at all. The only reason she is upset is the blinds have been lifted and everybody sees what a scam it was. I think she could have gone on forever with him in the closet, just living with him as a friend. How do we know she doesn’t have her own affairs or is gay herself? I think he is either trying to leave the cult or they are trying to embarass him into staying.

  37. Kayla says:

John Travolta can’t possibly be gay.

  38. Kayla says:

And even if he were, he would never rape or assault anyone.

  39. ZenB!tch says:

I admit to posting an anti-perv, JT is a perv like Michael Bay post above but there is one HUGE difference between Bay and JT and it is not sexual orientation – that is a small difference.

JT is associated with CO$. CO$ is feeding the Enquirer.

If Michael Bay was CO$ and he threatened to leave, I bet all of us would suddenly have the password to that website of his.

I don’t like entitled mysogynist or mysandrist men but I dislike CO$ even more. CO$ is kinda mysogynist, is it not?

  40. Playlist says:

Kelly was never blind to her man’s proclivities. She knew EXACTLY what she was signing up for right from the start. She has never been a victim. She’s been a well paid bearded spouse that likes the comforts and leisure life she gets from it. She would fall off the media attention radar if they split and she doesn’t want that either.

It will take a lot for her to leave John because she likes being taken care of. She will play the doting “stand by my man” spouse to the best of her abilities. If they ever split it will because John leaves her. She will do whatever she can to prevent that. It’s only when she has lost the battle that she will then play the humiliated victim card. The only problems she’s had with his sexual activities over the years if that it became harder and harder to keep them quiet and that would destroy their white-washed family reputation to the public.

  41. Nonny says:

I think it’s sad that if he IS gay, he can’t admit it. If he ISN’T gay, it’s sad that his life is being destroyed by the rumors. Somehow I think we can all blame the CO$ for this, can’t we?

    • ZenB!tch says:

Yes…. I always heard he is gay but I am only about 65% convinced he is a pervert. Anytime I start believing it, I start to wonder if it’s not the CO$ wanting to discredit him for comments he made after Jett died.

Kelly never fell out of line. She never admitted Jett was autistic. John did and he got in trouble. I’m not sure but I think he either wanted to or at some point had Jett on meds. Either is a BIG NO-NO with CO$. We are not depressed, we are not bipolar, we are not autistic and we do not act out when repressed for 40 years (assuming he is a perv).

  42. uncle Frank says:

This is clearly a well organized campaign to wreck his career. Like the others above I suspect that the CO$ are orchestrating it.
I’ve no sympathy for the freaked out masseurs. Being approached for ‘extras’ is part of the job. Why? Because many men have little self control. Sad but true. A masseur/se has to be skilled at saying ‘no’.
I was a nurse and got approached many times for personal favors. I know hotel staff who have often been approached by guests (even celebrity guests) It’s no big deal. It’s part of life.
Someone’s out to get John. I hope he manages to stay cool.

  43. tru tru says:

I totally agree with this post, well said.

if it were a hetro scandal–we’d have alll of the details and there would be coverage on tv etc.

THIS is not orchestrated nor is it made up and those men do not deserve to be groped by creepy OLD lace front wearing John.

NO one deserves to be violated, you must be one of the violators too.

“approaching” and groping/masturbating/demanding an enema is TOTALLY different and its SICK!

    • ZenB!tch says:

It’s not on TV in the rest of country? I live in LA so it has made local news as well as CNN.

  44. Tara says:

He should totally just do what nick nolte’s character in Breakfast of Champions did. MAUI!!

  45. Love says:

Somebody told me that it was well known he had sex on his plane , hence his many trips and flying .. It came from a gay man who had worked that scene . At the time , travelers was known
For being into Indian looking men .

  46. Clayton Bigsby says:

    And he stinks!!!

  47. Sarah says:

I love the fact that he’s being publicly disgraced for being a cross dresser yet hardly anything was mentioned about the fact he killed his own son by denying him anti epileptic drugs. If it was a working class family they would be under investigation by the police and would have had their children put into care. This man and his wife are disgusting human beings.

    • Charles says:

Sarah, what do women do to cross-dress? They almost can’t cross-dress, right? Is it because women are hermaphrodites (look it up) or is it because society dropped its former agenda to stop women having choices? If men were offered the same range of attire as women—excepting bras and dresses with bust forms upstairs, I submit that there would be far fewer men going overboard and doing their best to present as biological females. I also suggest you review the New York Times index as to how society treated women in pants! They were arrested and taken before magistrates; they were followed by mobs in the streets; they had apple cores tossed at them; they were accused of “trying to merge the two sexes in one person;” they were attempted to be tarred and feathered; they were scolded senseless by Union Army generals; their husbands and children refused to be seen with them in public; they were barred from churches, schools, restaurants, social occasions and more! As recently as 1993, JC Penney fired a woman for coming to work in slacks! It’s all there, Sarah—look it up! Freedom of dress is a human right, not something strictly applicable to your half of society! In “Women’s Clothes and Women’s Rights” (American Quarterly, Fall 1963, page 397), Robert Riegel noted—“Very rarely a woman presented herself as a candidate for martyrdom by asserting woman’s freedom to wear pants in public.” You had no inkling of any of these facts, or you disregarded them due to no sense of fairplay! My view, men should be free to wear skirts and fancy clothes and it would be for the best if in so doing, they didn’t present as women.

  48. Charles says:

Terminology is faulty! If men are presenting as women, call them female impersonators. But you can’t just use associative reasoning to call a man cross dressed! Before continuing to parrot psychiatric terminology I suggest you get a historical and contemporary education. Learn the causes as to why men wear only pants and only plain, undecorated clothes. Sex chromosomes has nothing to do with it except that bras are suitable just for women, and athletic supporters for men. Pants are a horseback invention. Rome threw out men in pants in AD393 under Theodosius I. Pants comes from Pantalone, the top clown in the middle ages Italian Comedy of the Arts. Women could NOT wear pants until factory work in World War 2 sent 17 million USA women into pants for the first time, which they got originally from their brothers and husbands! The New York Times once called for women to be sent to “the best conducted hospitals for the insane” (May 27, 1876, page 6 editorial “A Curious Disease.”) We raise women with CHOICES! We raise men WITHOUT choices! Learned behavior and mass hypnosis has women free to wear anything, and men STUCK with pants and plain clothes! President Franklin Roosevelt was raised in DRESSES! Boys did not wear pants till age 6 up until just after the start of the 20th century, because they had not yet been placed into the horseback riding garment, pants! The Greek army today has men in skirts, so do the Fijians and Scots, and many others, British Beefeater guards wear shoes frillier than almost any shoes ever seen on women, and Egyptian Dervishes (Tanoura) wear vividly colored skirts; male dancers in Bhutan wear petticoats. When did we decide both sexes had to dress differently, then women got exempted, while men remained STUCK without choice? Facial hair, not pants and plain clothes, is the garment of male presentation. We let women dress as individuals, we force men into a COLLECTIVE! That’s WRONG!
