Why is Gwyneth Paltrow going out at night already?

I don’t like Gwyneth Paltrow because she’s pretentious, so take my criticism or what it is – but why is she going out at night already? She just had a baby not even three weeks ago. Maybe she only popped out for a couple of hours, but newborns need to nurse about every 2-3 hours at that age. She could have pumped or he could be on formula, not that there’s anything wrong with that. If she’s nursing you’re not supposed to introduce a bottle until they’re a month old, though.

Yes, it’s really snarky to criticize her for getting some time alone, but you know, she’s so snotty and ungrateful that she deserves it.

Here she is at New York’s Food Bank Can-Do Awards Dinner on 4/25. Micheal Stipe was obviously there too. [via]

“Michael Stipe was obviously there too” – damn, what a HORRIBLE research! The REM frontman was HONORED this evening, and Gwyneth only went there because she and her husband are pals of Michael and that’s the only reason they were there – there’s a quote pointing out that Chris told Michael Stipe that “We have to get home soon”. It’s well-known that these two don’t go out often and they didn’t go out after Apple’s birth either, so what’s your problem?? Can’t she go out for two fuckin’ hours to support one of her best friends?

Hey Angelika, if you post the link to that article I will add that information about the event. You’re right, I should have googled the event itself, but instead I just looked for information on Gwyneth, and there was nothing about this event in Gwyneth news or I would have posted it.

Like I said I really don’t like her and there wasn’t much Gwyneth-related news. You’ve reminded me to look up the events too. Obviously I do a lot of work for the site and try to get as much news about a celebrity as possible.

My problem with Gwyneth is that I don’t like her because she says a lot of snotty shit, and I was pretty clear about that.

Hey Angelika, are you really Gwenyth? Have a sense of humour, or don’t read this site!

Thanks Shelly, I appreciate it. I should have looked up the event though, but hell I can’t do everything and I read so much celebrity news just trying to keep up. Obviously Angelika is a Gwyneth fan, or it’s Gwyneth and she’s feeling guilty for having a scheduled c-section and starting formula so early.

I did turn off comment moderation so comments should be posted automatically, but the spam filter is not allowing most comments to go through. (Even though it is set on low.) I think if you sign in through typekey it should publish right away.

Oh I found it! You got the news from the image caption on People Star Tracks. That’s impossible to Google because it doesn’t get indexed in Google news, and the regular search engine is too slow, so I’m not going to feel guilty for missing it. Plus, that’s not what Chris Martin said at all, he said “Some things you’ve got to make time for. The Sopranos and food bank benefits.”

This is the woman who downed three glasses of wine while she was pregnant.

There wasn’t any additional information about Stipe other than the fact that he was “honored,” either. My research is sound.

    I didn’t get the information from People.com, I got it from http://www.nydailynews.com/ .

Yes, I’m a Gwyneth fan – I’m obviously not Gwyneth, I’m sure she’s got better things to do than reading shit about herself!

I like your site, but I just thought that your comment about her was awful, because attacking a woman who just gave birth, just because she goes out for a few hours, that’s just stupid! I like your other celebrity news and I’m sure you do a lot of research – I’m sorry I might have sounded a bit too harsh, I was just pissed off because Gwyneth gets attacked for every single thing she does..

    Hi Angelika,
I did see that at NY Daily News later. The thing about the Daily News is that it comes out later than the other news sites. I’m in Switzerland and work in the morning, so the news wasn’t out when I wrote this. I do read it every day, but after I’ve finished working so it’s not really useful to me.

Your point is well taken, and I was efensive about it since there wasn’t much actual news in this article and I didn’t really bother. I have a toddler and rarely get out due to guilt and his attachment to me, so I am obviously jealous of Gwyneth. Maybe with a second kid I wouldn’t be as protective. It still seems weird to me that she would be going out not even a month after her child was born though. It seems like she would be home with the baby, but I am very attached to my child and could not imagine going out when he was less than a month old.

Gwyneth says a lot of crap though, you have to admit. Search on Gwyneth at WWTDD because he’s much harsher to her than I am here.

Thanks for your compliments on the site and I appreciate it.

if I may chime in late in the game.. I can see that Gwyneth gets a lot of bad press because of a perception that she’s a snotty princess but I think that much of what she says is taken out of context and she does have a bit of a “foot in mouth” disease.. Still, a friend of mine knows her and swears that she’s super nice in person and not a snob at all and that Chris is a sweatheart (though they’re both obsessed with macrobiotic diet and fair trade). It’s worth pointing out since they’re not close friends and yet Gwyneth never fails to talk to her at social events and even wrote her a personal thank you note after my friend sent her some baby gifts (btw, it’s not a networking connection, so Gwyneth could be rude easily if she wanted). She’s supposedly very friendly in person. According to my friend, another actress who’s very nice, polite and professional is Nicole Kidman. Naomi Watts, Renee Zellweger and Diane Lane got high notes too.

Thanks Millie that’s pretty cool. It just seems like Gwyneth says a lot of crap. Maybe it is taken out of context but she should be more careful of what she says. That’s really nice if she makes an effort to send thank you notes and is kind in person. I appreciate you letting me know and now I have a better opinion of her, thanks!
