We didn’t have power at my in-laws house today due to construction on their block, so I’ll have to do this link post and step out. We’re travelling today and tomorrow to visit relatives in the states for the Holidays. I hope to be around a bit before Christmas, but it will be tight. I saw Patricia Heaton talk about reading her son’s emails and messages after he goes to sleep. Don’t get me wrong, I have kids and I’m an attentive mom, but I would NEVER do this unless there was a good REASON to suspect something is wrong. When Conan expressed his shock she was like “OF COURSE I do it! It’s my job”. She’s stupid enough to think she can actually find out this way. I bet her son knows she goes through his stuff and has another way of communicating with his friends. I will never forgive my mom for going through my journal when I was 15. NEVER! There was no good reason for it and I will never forget how I felt after I discovered it. Of course I never shared anything with her after that and I stopped keepig a journal. I have a daughter this age and would NEVER reach for her stuff unless she gave us reasons to worry about her. I always hated Patricia for her dumb political comments (she also said she’d call Peter Boyle–who played dad on Raymond- a “Commie” because he had liberal views on many things) but now I know I was right about her. She’s just a dumb, self-righteous b*tch with a sensitivity of a cow.
yeah.. when i was younger, if there ever was anything incriminating in a text message or email (and by incriminating, i don’t mean anything terrible lol), i would delete it right away. i wonder if she checks his myspace…
