At first when I glanced at the headline for this new Star story about Gwyneth Paltrow being jealous of Kate Hudson, I assumed it was because Kate’s fiancé, Matt Bellamy, is in a much better band than Mr. Goop, Chris Martin. Silly me! Of course, Gwyneth thinks that Coldplay will always be, like, the greatest (and most prestigious) rock band of all time. Much better than Muse. In Goop’s eyes, Muse is the mere microwave oven to Coldplay’s woodburning stove. Or something like that.
Anyway, Kate Hudson has already been the subject of a recent alleged feud, in which she supposedly holds an incredibly petty grudge against Scarlett Johansson for stealing all the good blonde roles these days. Now it’s Gwyneth who’s harboring ill will against Kate for stealing her musical thunder by filming a guest spot on “Glee.” If you’ll remember correctly, Goop shimmied and aerobicized on “Glee” awhile back, and then she didn’t even have the courtesy to accept her Emmy in person. But Goop supposedly did “Glee” as part of her big campaign to land a record deal, which never happened even after the “high art“ of Country Strong. The injustice! So now Goop is pissed off at Kate for doing “Glee,” and this story kind of makes sense in a mean girl way:
Gwyneth Paltrow’s latest role? A green-eyed monster. Sources tell Star that the 39-year-old actress and wannabe singer is jealous of Kate Hudson, who recently filmed a guest spot on the Fox hit show “Glee.”
“Gwyneth had a successful appearance in season two and is scared that kate will outshine her,” explains the insider. “While she’s being nice to Kate’s face, she’s gone behind her back to talk to producers about being on the show again in an effort to draw the audience away from Kate.
On her guest-starring episode, Gwyneth made waves in the music industry when she belted out CeeLo Green’s smash hit “Forget You.” According to an insider, she was hoping it would launch her singing career — but so far, she’s gotten nowhere.
The source adds that Gwyneth told Kate, 33, she wanted to make more appearances on “Glee,” hoping it would put her back on the music map. “What upsets Gwyneth the most is Kate couldn’t care less about having a singing career and knows that Gwyneth is dying to make a name for herself in music,” says the source.

So the question remains … did Kate sign onto “Glee” specifically to piss off Gwyneth, who had previously told Kate she wanted to do more episodes? Maybe Goop was actually irritated because she didn’t want anyone intruding on all that palpable sexual tension that Goop enjoyed with Matthew Morrison not too long ago. That’s my theory.

Did anyone watch Muse’s performance in the Olympics Closing Ceremony? They are really good live, but as the supposed ‘official’ Olympics theme I’ve barely heard Survival during the games.
She sang in Nine with the rest of the female ensemble and in “cinema italiano” She did a halfway decent job. Better than goopy for sure. And her dancing is pretty solid compared to her as well.
It also got nominated for a bunch of awards.

And NBC cut the Muse performance from the closing ceremony. So I get the feeling most US folks didn’t know there were there.
I’d never heard Muse before (not my kind of music) but I thought they were so embarrassingly bad in the closing ceremony that I can’t believe they have fans. It was obvious that the lead singer was only pretending to play the guitar, yet he insisted on putting on a completely over the top Jimi Hendrix style air guitar performance that would have embarrassed any serious musician.
ok so.. why wouldn’t Goop be jealous of Kristin Chenoweth who has real talent and is a very pretty blond?

I have adored her since I was 14 and was obsessed with her while I was growing up so I would be the first one to tell you if I thought she let me down or sold out.
