“They are living together and have reconciled,” an insider tells Us Weekly in the new issue, on stands Friday.
But they haven’t exactly returned to the way they were before July, when Us broke the news that the Twilight actress, 22, had cheated with her Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders, 41.
As Us revealed last week, Pattinson, 26, and his estranged love recently “had a dramatic makeup.” But a source tells Us the British hunk “is extra-sensitive right now. He’s insecure.”

God, this just makes me so sad for Sparkles. I’ve commented on this couple before and I’m sticking to my guns by saying this is all for publicity. BD2 will be out soon and they need to create a big buzz around it. Why would she have to make a public apology to Rob about the affair with the director? Even if there was a pic circulating of them in an embrace it doesn’t mean they were having an affair. It’s not like she got caught by anyone. She could have kept her mouth shut and none would be the wiser.
Even though these may only be rumors, it has been reported many times that they have an open relationship and Rob sleeps around on Kristen and she knows about it. Let’s not forget he had already slept with two other costars from the same movie. I bet behind closed doors they are laughing out loud at all their Twihard fans who may be upset over the split.
Well, my opinion on this is that the chances that this was an actual romantic relationship, ever, are really slim.
My guess is they probably had a pretty good friendship to begin with and then went the “promotional relationship” route, to satisfy… well… pretty much anyone from his team to her team passing by the Twi team. Pretty standard stuff, actually.
I’m still very convinced that the “scandal” was a completely planned move to build drama for the big movie premiere. Also, as I said in the past, it served the career purposes of everyone involved.

You can’t have it both ways when it comes to Kristen. You ALWAYS complain that she is dressed shabbily and looks unclean, so why are you acting like she is doing it now for pity? I can imagine if she showed up dressed any differently than before, you would comment that she is making herself over for the public. At least she doesn’t show up on red carpets or events dressed in torn or stained clothes like her sparkles often does.
I actually can believe he took her back. After his fantastic showing at the cosmopolis press (where Cronenberg held his hand), he has looked like shit at his last few outings. The pics from the la ballet function showed a tired, sloppy, greasy man who had his pants pinned up. ESP his eyes. He actually looked like Rob from 2008. No he held his own beautifully during Cosmo tour. She on the other hand on the RC in TIFF couldn’t get a single sentence out without stammering or digressing. Garret was a gentleman who pitied her enough to help her through some answers.
She got off very easy without any TV appearances. Lets see how charming and graceful and intelligent she is on her next set of promos for BD2.

Look at the state of her at TIFF, and she only made it there at all because she had his forgiveness. I have far more sympathy with her than most people here, but don’t paint her as some independent, self-reliant, feminist icon. She is afloat today because her man loves her and forgave her. She will do anything, go anywhere, for him at this point because he is the single most important thing in her life now. He is her anchor, the one person that gives her hope. She has been through hell and she needs to rebuild her confidence before she can resume her career. If he were to abandon her, she would be lost. I’m trying (but obviously not quite succeeding) to give these two actors a wide berth as I am so frustrated to see a considerate intelligent guy (with a promising career, saw Cosmopolis recently, was most impressed by his performance and his interviews with Cronenberg during the press tour) being manipulated. As an older sister to three brothers, feeling protective is my second nature when I observe such situations.
We often read that in part he feels he owes her his Twilight career, that she fought to have him as her film partner. This I simply don’t get. How could a junior actress (which she was at the time) have such influence on the author, producers and director? Yet this story is repeated ad nauseam.
Perhaps one day Vanity Fair’s Maureen Orth will help us understand the complex nature of this relationship.

I am actually impressed with him overall if he took her back. That says a lot about his humility and capacity for forgiveness, and I think highly of any man who could suffer an unfaithful partner publicly and still give his relationship a second chance. You don’t see that too often. I don’t necessarily believe she is the best thing for him, but I keep in mind that I DON’T KNOW EITHER OF THESE PEOPLE, he knows her far better than we do.

Cheating is a terrible thing to do, and their relationship may fail, but if he loves her enough to give her a second chance, and if she loves him enough to be willing to tolerate the inevitable distrust and bitterness she will have to endure as she tries to rebuild her relationship, good for both of them. Nothing about what I’ve seen of Rob in interviews suggests to me that he’s a stupid man, I think he’s just an understanding and compassionate human being. I think he recognizes that he is stronger than she is, he still loves her, and wants to see if they can salvage what they have. I am touched by the humanity of the whole situation.

Funny enough though, many of the same fans who are celebrating the UsWeekly story were the first to say that UsWeekly didn’t know crap and was lying when they published the MiniCooper pictures.
They only believe what they want to believe. A People editor went on Inside Edition last week and said they were maybe working towards a friendship. Notice that didn’t get any coverage in the media. The only thing that gets coverage is the stuff that the fans eat up. Also, I think the reconciliation upsets as many people as it excites, so it’s sort of a win win. Most on this board seem to think it’s not a good thing and that Rob can do better. So the reconciliation is selling more copies, clearly. It’s all business for the tabloids. That’s why they’re tabloids.

For us who has not been on the same situation as Robert, it’d be easy to say that he is a wimp or an idiot. But I love the thought that he softened when he saw her cry. Whether she was sincere or not, time will tell. But I love the possibility that this didn’t ruin his caring nature for women. If indeed, he forgave her, I would be proud of him, it shows strength and understanding of the human condition. Well, if this failed again , he is only 26 , he can start all over again. @Apples – I don’t know about the DVD sales but Rob, Kristen and Taylor get 1.25% of the box office of BD2 plus salary, the same deal for BD1. Based on BD1’S worldwide box office, the trio got an extra 8.8 million plus on top of the 12.5 million flat pay. They can get more for the last movie. For an extra 8-10 million I would pretend a reconciliation to assure the Twi-hards will show up at the multiplexes.
All parties have a lot to lose, particularly Kristen. The whisper campaign of the Robsten reunion, courtesy of Kristen’s PR team, started at TIFF. TIFF was days before the release of the Snow White and the Huntsman DVD. Then the rolling stories of Rob and Kristen are back together. (This is lazy reporting on the gossip press’ part for not confirm with Rob’s people that it’s true.) Next a sighting in a car that sets the Twitter-verse on fire for Twi-hards. Finally, stories of Rob and Kristen moving back in together, all before the official kickoff of the BD2 promos in October. The reunion seems too orchestrated for me; but bottom line, if Rob hadn’t “taken her back”, the SWATH DVD sales and rentals would have been soft, her contract with Balenciaga would have been in jeopardy, and the BD2 box office would be abysmal.
The Kristen fans claim by her insisting that Rob was chosen for Edward she gave him his career. Well, Rob’s “forgiveness” SAVED her career. And maybe we’re being premature in calling Rob a wuss. He may be calling the shots now because the “reconciliation” is pulling Kristen’s fanny out of the fire. Rob has a financial incentive to play along, but he’s probably telling her one more embarassing story about her and Rupert (or another man) and they’re done and HIS team will confirm it.
