The bandeau is not flattering. On anyone. Not a snark on Kate at all. I just wish people would understand this. It’s how many people feel about peplums or skinny jeans. I just think it ALWAYS looks bad unless they’re photoshopped, it makes flat girls look like boys and busty girls look pudgy.

I can’t believe she is a supermodel. It amazes me what professional styling, make up and expensive clothes can do. Kate has a gorgeous face no matter but her bod looks totally meh. I’m not hating. She looks a hell of a lot better than I do, I’m just saying it looks totally unremarkable here!
Why do women always have to wear what’s flattering? If you’re on holiday you can wear what you want/what’s most comfortable.

You’re right, she’s not THAT old. She’s not that young either. By age 38 your metabolism has slowed down a good bit and if you want to stay slim you have to watch what you eat all the time. Either that or work out constantly. It is not easy. She puts in the work and it shows. That’s why she is still one of the highest paid models out there.

That completely depends on your body type. My mother looks better than that and she’s nearly fifty. She never did any sports or particularly watched what she ate… it’s just luck.

the smoking thing seems like such a weird catch-22 for the models. they do it to help stay skinny, but it is aging as hell. kate’s never been a “body” model, even in the 90s supers era she was the child waif, not the hot glamazon. but she’s still skinny as hell and has interesting features/takes interesting photos, which seem to be the main requirements for models.

She’s never been a bathing suit or a body model-I think people are being too hard on her. She looks fine to me. She’s in her late 30’s at this point. Time marches on for all of us. She’s never going to look like she did at 25 again but none of us do. Aging isn’t a crime.
You must have some super zooming computer because I think Kate looks fantastic from the back and pretty good from the front too. I mean she doesn’t have a killer body with a million curves but I think many body types can be attractive. What I would like to know is what does she see in her husband? He is ugly as h*ll. I am 48, and wear bathing suits with a high neck to protect my skin. I protect my skin in general, because I dodged a bullet with a mole-on my back!- that was malignant and caught very early.
I am sure Kate will be protected from skin cancer by the Model Gods, but..envision Kate in a few years with raisin face AND smoker’s face.

Some women’s skin just doesn’t bounce back after having kids. Some do, and some get help via strategic nips and tucks. Her midsection isn’t an issue to me at all, and she looks fine overall.
But the sun and smoking haven’t been kind to her face. That’s something she has actual control over. This is beyond superficial good/bad looks – it’s a health issue (especially smoking).
I love her body-confidence and ‘I don’t give a shit’ air. Love, love it.
Plus, she looks like a real person – not stretched out, tweaked, eyelids pulled up to there, worm lips, grapefruit tits, botoxed freak.
