Kristen Stewart confirmed for sequel to ‘Snow White’, to be released in 2015

Here are some additional photos of Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson at Coachella – you’ve already seen them, because I wrote about them this past weekend and the Twihards basically hijacked the thread and it was a mess. A glorious, sparkly mess. I’m not sure if I’m a Twihard Hero or a Twihard Enemy at this point. I’m just trying to call it like I see it – there is absolutely NO reason for Rob and Kristen to be together at this point other than the fact that they simply want to be together. Yeah, I think that makes him look spineless too, but I also think Rob was able to change up the dynamics in their relationship so he had more power. Was it worth it? We’ll see.

I would imagine that Rob will have something to say about this news, although Kristen isn’t going to want to hear it. For months, people have been debating whether or not Snow White and the Huntsman would get a sequel – it made money and it proved that Kristen could carry a non-Twilight film. But the film is also closely associated with Kristen’s epic, public self-immolation when she had an affair with SWATH director Rupert Sanders, an affair which eventually ended his marriage and put her own relationship on unsteady footing for months. Well, at CinemaCon this week, the chairman of Universal confirmed that the SWATH sequel is going forward and that Kristen is going to be a part of it.

Looks like Snow White is still the fairest of them all. After months of speculation about a possible Snow White and the Huntsman sequel, Universal Pictures chairman Adam Fogelson confirmed that the studio is indeed planning a second installment of the movie, which starred Kristen Stewart and Chris Hemsworth in the title roles.

Fogelson announced the news at a CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas, Nev., on Tuesday, April 16. The film is apparently in development for a targeted 2015 release date.

Last summer, Stewart’s future with the franchise seemed uncertain after she and director Rupert Sanders were caught cheating on their respective significant others. She was in a relationship with her Twilight costar Robert Pattinson at the time; he was married to model Liberty Ross, who played Snow White’s mother in the movie. (Ross has since filed for divorce.)

In December, however, the actress suggested to Indiewire that she was “absolutely” on board for a sequel but under strict instructions not to talk about it. “It’s gonna be f–kin’ amazing. I’m so excited about it, it’s crazy,” she gushed. “The other day I said that there was a strong possibility that we’re going to make a sequel, and that’s very true, but everyone was like, ‘Whoa, stop talking about it.’ So, no, I’m totally not allowed to talk about it.”

There’s no word yet on the plot of the second film, or who from the original will be returning. Sanders is reportedly not directing, but the cast members’ fates are still up in the air.

[From Us Weekly]

Well, a projected 2015 release doesn’t mean much. That basically says that they’re going to spend the next year trying to piece this thing together, with a half-decent script and possibly/probably a new director too. They’ll probably need to wait around for Chris Hemsworth’s schedule too, considering he’s booked solid for the next year.

Meanwhile, OK! Magazine claims that Kristen and Liberty Ross ran into each other at Coachella the other day. OK! claims that Kristen and Liberty were standing close to each other for Jurassic 5’s set and Kristen was “pretty upset”. As she should be! I hope Liberty said something.

As if Liberty Ross doesn’t love this situation…
Her and her husband had to have had issues before he had an affair with a 20 year old…
And NOW everyone knows her name, follows her movements and talks about her on gossip sites! Win win

    • c'est la vie says:

      I’m sure she was thrilled.

The only upside is that she’s dating Jimmy Iovine now.

      That’s revenge.

      • popcorn11 says:

Dont know, i think too many people assume that these were 2 traditional and monogamous relationships. I dont know about the directors marriage but i highly doubt Patz and Stew were ever conventionally monogamous. Just going by their personas. For all you know maybe Patz gets off on hearing about it and the public apology and short break were a media ploy. Either way i dont buy the unwitting but helpless cuckold narrative.

      • c'est la vie says:

I don’t care about Robsten’s relationship (or lack of one), just commenting on the breakup of a marriage.

It’s as if people don’t think that a marriage breaking up and divorce is difficult – no it’s fun!

      • c'est la vie says:

And tho I don’t really care, why did Kristen and Rupert both issue public apologies – if they didn’t know someone was going to be hurt in those relationships.

        Just sayin’.

      • popcorn11 says:

You missed my point Cest La Vie. It very possible, that BOTH relationships were not of the vanilla variety. Or that the marriage was in its deathbed. Or that he lied about being separated. Only they know what really happened so i reserve judgement. 43 years on planet earth have taught me that very rarely do you have outright villains and victims, especially in intimate relationships. In daytime soaps yes, in real life not so much.

I limit my criticism of KS to stuff i actually know without a shadow of a doubt i.e. her acting- its very bad.

      • c'est la vie says:

I didn’t get your point because Liberty Ross stayed in that marriage six months after a humiliating situation and public apology. Do I think she did that for fun or attention? No. She was trying to stay in her marriage.
I don’t care enough about Kristen’s minicoopering to speculate on it anymore. Except that it was ugly and stupid for everyone involved.
I just noted that public apologies were issued. I kind of wonder why?

      • Original A says:

        @c’est la vie…
I worked for a publicist who repped a couple of major musicians for a year before I went back to grad school. From what I learned, the main reason behind public apologies is it supposedly gets the tabloids to slightly back off on harassing people (everyone from family members to distant friends to the main subjects) involved in the story. That said, with the advent of blogs, etc. it doesn’t always work that way anymore. Who knows about Liberty Ross and her husband, although I suspect he stepped out on her before and KStew and the public mess was the last straw for her. The fact that she left him right on the six month mark, the weird quote about how he waited for Liberty to be legal (and he was what, several years older than her), and that he screwed someone famous and young enough to be his kid….all that makes me thing he probably had a history and that she is WAY better off without him.

In terms of KStew and RPattz (and I don’t even think they were ever in a traditional relationship), several of the film people I follow on twitter commented that they heard the studio was freaking out and demanded that she give an “emotional” public apology instead of a statement that she & her publicist wanted to issue. There were some comments on twitter from non-tabloid journalists and about a hundred other blinking signs that point to the fact that these two were never monogamous. That said, all of their mutual stans want them to be in fantasy love and his stans want him to be a forestland creature and her to be evil incarnate. Basically, I don’t buy that the guy was some spineless, sad cuckold either but that the twi-hards would have freaked out even harder if it came out those two were happily banging others for the past few years and each other. I think the studio was just terrified and decided it was better to have it play out that way instead of ruining both his stans and the stans of them as a couple’s perception of them.

      • Original A says:

ha, my iphone screwed up that last sentence. oh well.

      • c'est la vie says:

        Personally,
I’m sick of commenting on the whole mess.
But I do know one thing, banging your married director who is twenty years older than you – never a good idea. After minicoopering photos come out in US Weekly – it’s a little late for public apologies. In fact it made the whole thing seem like a sideshow. And I never said I thought Robsten was monogamous.
I think Liberty Ross is well out of it.

      • Haolebunny says:

Wait, Jimmy and Vicki Iovine are divorced? Where was I when this happened? What rock was I under? How out of touch am I? Her Girlfriend’s Guide Books got me through a very isolated, lonely pregnancy.

      • Original A says:

@c’est la vie. I agree it’s getting old. Of course it was a terrible, stupid, & hurtful choice to bang some married guy old enough to be her Dad, even if her bf was okay with her getting some strange. I agree that the public apology made it more of a circus, but I was just explaining the usual PR reasoning behind public apologies (try to get them to back off from harassing every single person even slightly involved, getting in front of the story, setting their own parameters, etc.). Not every situation is the same, and her publicist should have realized it. Anyway, all of them seem to have moved on, so I find it kind of funny that the trashier tabloids (Radar, etc.) are still fixated on it.

      • paranormalgirl says:

@Haolebunny: looks like Jimmy Iovine got divorced in 2009.

      • c'est la vie says:

Original A – I understand the point of public apologies, but that doesn’t mean they always help. In this case they backfired.

And on a side note I think Jimmy Iovine has been divorced for 3 years now.

    • Lulu.T.O. says:

      I agree Emily.

    • mina says:

I completely disagree with the writer of the article. The film didn’t make a lot of money, it made OK money and this non-failure was not KStew’s doing, as On the Road proved. If anything it was a marketing success!

      • paranormalgirl says:

Indiewire listed SWATH at #15 for boxoffice in 2012. Considering how many films are released each year, it did quite well and while not considered a blockbuster or smash, it was considered a hit with $396,397,203 total box office (domestic and foreign).

    • Izzy says:

Yes, I’m sure her house rang with laughter as she tried to shield her two young children from hearing all the sordid details and seeing the photos.

I’m sure she was thrilled to realize that someday, her kids will see those pictures, and she’ll have to help guide them through their mess of emotions as a result.

What, did you sell your soul to the devil, or were you just born without a heart? I get that Liberty has taken advantage of the publicity – that hardly makes her a bad person, or deserving of the heartache and humiliation she received (the CAUSE of the publicity in the first place).

      • Emily says:

Uhh no some people seem not to care about their kids….. Farrah Abraham… porn poorly passed off as a sex tape… Courtney Stodden’s parents… the Smith children… the Lohans…

Let’s not pretend there is no such thing as horrible parents.

If you want to shelter your kids from all the awful stories, you don’t turn up to trick-or-treat with them wearing lingerie… + the tons of other stuff she has done. She is loving this ‘career’ boost.

      • Faye says:

Emily, I really don’t understand your reasoning. Liberty is a bad parent and a publicity whore because she took her kids trick or treating? How about if she covered up with a burqua and took them to the library; would that make her okay to you?

I love people who make up stories about Liberty being a bad mother and Rupert and Liberty having all kinds of problems before he met and mini-Coopered Kristen. What basis in fact do you have for saying things like that? The only factual thing we know is that Rupert and Kristen had an affair. And based on that, they are the guilty parties and Liberty is innocent. The rest is conjecture.

      • flan says:

        Well said, Faye.

It’s bizarre how some women try to blame Liberty for this.

Their reasoning? “He did something bad, so she must have been bad too!”

And that’s it. Well, even the most blameless, pure-hearted women in history have been cheated on, so that reasoning is utter nonsense.

    • Miss Bennett says:

      @Emily
No, they did not have to have problems in their marriage for him to be a disgusting horn dog. I’m sick to death of people blaming Liberty Ross for the mess her husband and his lover made of their lives. He saw an opportunity for a piece of ass and he took it. Slandering Liberty Ross does absolve Sanders and Stewart of the wrong they equally share. By all accounts I have read both Ross and Sanders are good parents. You sound ugly and you have no facts whatsoever to back up this trash.

      • paranormalgirl says:

If they had any problems in their marriage, it would appear to have been HIM. Good women get cheated on, happens all the time. I wouldn’t rush to the conclusion that Liberty was in any way to blame for the affair. The only ones to blame are Rupert and Kristen. He was married and Kristen knew that.

    • Nina W says:

Why can’t you leave Liberty alone? This thread is about these two Twi-twits and the very first comment is you snarking on Liberty. I hope Liberty is hugely successful in everything she does. I hope her career outlasts all the rest of them. It’s unbelievable that you attack the innocent person in that ugly situation, you really need to rethink your stance.

  2. mel says:

    Big mistake. BIG mistake.

  3. BreeinSEA says:

I would’ve loved to have been there just to see the air thicken between them! They should have just replaced her wirh that blonde from Warm Bodies…

    • Lauren says:

Omg what is that girls name??? I think she looks like a blonde version of Kristen…but a whole lot more beautiful and talented in my opinion

      • Jen says:

Her name is Teresa Palmer and she didn’t impress me with her looks or her acting. I would say they were about the same.

      • Amelia says:

Oh God, I couldn’t stand Warm Bodies. Both the leads bored me to tears.

    • Emily says:

She’s Australian and lovely! If you can (and don’t mind films about horrible topics) try and get a copy of her first film, “2:37”. Amazing!

  4. Ai says:

Let’s move on from this gal….

    • c'est la vie says:

At this point, I must agree. Tired of her and her ripped t-shirt wearing antics.

    • Lb says:

When the most interesting thing about her and her boyfriend is that she cheated on him, it’s time for me to stop paying attention. I think this is the last Kstew post I will read.

      • Faye says:

@Lb – honestly, that’s the most profound thing I’ve read about her, and darn it if isn’t true. I’m done with K-Stew posts after that. Thanks for the insight!

    • booboocita says:

She did NOT carry Snow White. Charlize Theron carried that film. Charlize was a much bigger part of the marketing effort, had more screen time, and was the film’s on-screen BAMF. Without Charlize, the film would have gone nowhere. Kristen’s ability to carry a non-Twilight film remains untested, particularly in light of the box-office failures of The Runaways and On the Road.

  5. Eva says:

I just watched SWATH for the first time over the weekend and I had the reaction I thought I would- I LOVED the evil queen and hated that pathetic one dimensional Snow White character. The Queens death was disappointing too- she didn’t put up a real fight. My point is that Kirsten did not carry that movie, Charlize did and now that the queen is dead I’m sure the sequel will fall flat on its lipbiting face.

    • lin234 says:

Charlize Theron MADE that movie. The only thing I could see when Kristen was in the shots were her two front teeth and open mouth. Seriously, she only has one expression. Her acting is incredibly BAD. She’s not going to be able to carry a movie without another solid lead (or two).

I only saw the movie because Charlize looked incredible in the promos.

That said, I think Kristen has a beautiful face but she needs to close her mouth and get some acting lessons.

Also, She’s upset? Sit down! If anyone should be upset, it’s Liberty. Kristen should be ashamed, embarrassed, etc and have enough decency to not go 100 feet near Liberty.

      • V4Real says:

LOL at the two front teeth comment.

If it had not been for Hemsworth; I would have never seen this movie and he is also in the sequel; damn.

      • Anna says:

        @V4Real –

Well, technically no actors have been confirmed yet. So….maybe he’ll be too busy? Scheduling conflict?

By the way movies that open in Russia on the same weekend as US actually open a day early (Thursdays) and I went to see the 9am show – before work! breakfast in my purse! – on the very first Thursday so that I could get my fill of glorious, rugged Huntsman! Sadly his sexy voice was dubbed over… 🙁

      • tracking says:

ITA–I never would have bothered to see the movie without Theron. And it was still so bad. And Kristen Stewart, other than some gusto with the action sequences, was the most graceless and dull Snow White ever.

      • iheartjacksparrow says:

        @lin234

I think KStew had her mouth closed in two quick shots in the entire film. All I could think while I was watching: “That’s what she calls acting? Having her mouth open and looking upset?”

      • another nina says:

        @ Anna
depending on where you are in Russia, there are several centers for un-dubbed movies…I just want you to be well prepared for a sequel 🙂

      • Anna says:

        @another nina –

Moscow and I am a regular at ’35 mm’ which plays (un-dubbed) every indie and award-baiting movie that comes out, but no tent-poles. So recommendations are very welcome! I’ll pay in vodka!

Also – RUSH has no Russia release day. EPIC SAD.

    • Georgina says:

Ive tried to watch SWATH four times now, but I fall asleep everytime! From what I’ve seen there’s a lot of Charlize, but not a ton of Kristen. She doesn’t speak much, just kind of gapes around. I was surprised this film was what the fanatics pointed to as evidence of her great acting ability.

    • Lucinda says:

Charlize was the only reason to watch the first movie at all. I had given KS some leeway on whether or not she could act but this movie showed she has one trick. So does RP unfortunately. But they will both continue to get movies because they have a huge Twi-hard fan base. That’s who will go see the sequel and these fans are young , the perfect demographic.

    • xxx says:

Yep, KStew just irritated me throughout the whole movie. I kept thinking “Why didn’t they cast Felicity Jones in this? She would have been so much better!” Charlize was by far the best thing about that movie – she carried the whole thing. The second best thing was the direction. The imagery and the way the effects were used were just beautiful. So without Charlize and Rupert, I’m thinking the second movie will definitely get a pass from me.

    • Miss Bennett says:

      @ Eva
I just saw SWATH about a month ago. The only watchable parts of that film were when Charlize was on the screen. The rest of the time, the film seemed to go on forever. Why they are making another one is beyond me.

  6. Jenna says:

But there REALLY doesn’t need to be another one at this point; the first was bad enough. Even IF we did get to see Hemsworth the Hot Huntsman and all those beautiful costumes for Charlize. And I’m still hesitant to say that she carried a film; she really was one of the worst parts.

  7. Apples says:

I heard that KScrew was barely in the movie. With Helmsworth and Charlize Theron I don’t think we can yet say that KScrew carried a movie post Twilight.

  8. Mirella says:

I hope Liberty said something too.

    • Elly says:

Liberty to Kristen: “thank you for all the good PR! You revived my career. I love all the fame, the attention and the paparazzi. Finally people know my name! And now i have a new guy… very very rich. I love it. Thank you very much.”

      • mainland says:

Or Liberty could also say to Kristen: thanks for helping Rupert publicly humiliate me by openly with no shame getting caught out in the open cheating with my husband…. Its good for the kids to have documented evidence all over the web to see. I appreciate all the times you sat my dinner table and ate the food I provided while boinking my husband behind my back. My two kids really enjoyed the ice cream you took them out for while you were screwing their father. I appreciate you smiling in their faces and being nice to them all the while being the enabler in the fact that their home is permanently broken. Oh and kudos to you for the help in putting me in the position to tell my kids daddy’s not coming back, and now you will only see either of us 50% of the time. So much liberty has to be thankful to Kristen for!!!

      • jessiesgirl says:

Absolutely Mainland. I hope each asshole who thinks Liberty is cool with her family being torn apart get to experience it firsthand.

      • Miss Bennett says:

        @mainland
        Perfectly said.

  9. Tig says:

I think it’s a stretch to say she “carried” SW- most folks went for Chris H and Charlize. With her gone, what plot line do they have?

I can’t imagine that this is a good move- all it does is guarantee there will be continuing re-hashing of her affair into 2015- this helps her how? Unless of course she hooks up with another married man in the interim.

    • Tessa says:

It’s almost as if she doesn’t want the talk of “the scandal” to die down. I don’t understand why she’d do this movie. People will just be talking about the drama well into 2015. Is her career that sunk? It’s unfathomable to me why she would do another SWATH.

      • c'est la vie says:

It’s unbelievable to me that they would make one, especially without Charlize Theron.

    • Anna says:

      @ Tig –

Agreed. As much as I LOOOOOVE CHemsworth and fantasy/magic movies, SWATH was a disappointment in many ways. And now they want to continue without it’s strongest link. Bad.

    • Nina W says:

It’s not made yet, 2015 is a ways off and with no screenplay, no director, no evil queen, well we’ll just have to wait and see if this goes anywhere. There are tons of films that never get made.

  10. eli says:

The film was a mess and barely go the budget back. It certainly wasn’t a hit. The Snow Ho is grasping at last straws of her “fame”, she can’t get anything else. The other actresses are running with quality projects and she’s stuck with Sparkles and staging photo ops.

Both of them are “staying together” because it’s the only thing that gets them attention.

    • OhDear says:

She (and he) should probably consider taking smaller, supporting roles rather than gunning for top billing. Neither of them have what it takes to be a leading man/lady. They got very lucky with Twilight.

Heck, even actors who do have talent don’t get the roles that they deserve, but that’s for another time.

    • Dubois says:

It made 396 mil (wordlwide) on a budjet of 170. I’d say it was a hit.

      http://boxofficemojo.com/movies/?id=snowwhiteandthehuntsman.htm

      • Tiffany says:

Tack on another 100 million for marketing and there is not much profit.

      • shelly says:

Taking into account the marketing expenses and the fact that the studios only get back roughly 50% of BO, it was probably only a modest profit.

    • Jen says:

As long as there is a Rob and Kristen, there is going to be comments. That first picture of Rob, I would hit that all day long. One sexy looking man.

  11. Tiffany :) says:

I think if they have a villan in there that is as strong as Charlize, they’ll be fine. And I think most people saw this for the effects/action, not the actors.

  12. Honey says:

This movie was so incredibly bad. I don’t know anybody who actually liked it or wants a sequel made. It will be a guaranteed flop. Stewart must really not have any other options or she doesn’t want the scandal to go away because this does nothing for her career. She got some of the worst reviews I’ve ever read about an actress. Hemsworth doesn’t need this, he’s red hot right now and has better projects lined up.

Everything will just be dredged up yet again in 2015. It’s like Stewart and Sparkles are TRYING to be jokes.

  13. Mia 4S says:

Universal Studios is DESPERATE for franchises right now. They have Fast & Furious, and that’s about it. Much like Clash of the Titans this made just barely enough to justify a sequel (and the reception was low to mixed at best) but the studio is going to cut the budget, cross their fingers, and pray. Studio politics are fascinating.

Hemsworth has Avengers 2 in 2015, his schedule will be tough and NO WAY could they go forward without him.

  14. another nina says:

I actually have a creative suggestion — let’s make a movie with Thor Jr! and I’ll watch it despite KStew being somewhere there… Thor Jr just needs to walk around in his gym clothes and hiss @ KStew in the forest full of squirrels. Can I start pitching this idea?

  15. apsutter says:

Why the hell would they make this with her in it?! They had to cut the damn first one around her because no one likes her guppy mouth and her eye rolls. No one is going to see this atrocity. Cue Sparkles dumping her in 3…2…

    • pepper says:

No Sparkles is NOT dumping her at all. As a Rob fan it is indeed very painful to watch him being such a wimpy, spineless doormat he seems to be when with her. This constant outing with her and being photographed is not at all helping his image (what little there is that is). Forget about her, how sad is he? He should be able to get a decent girl who can treat him with respect. But no he would rather be with that lying cheater mess. Says a lot about him really 🙁

      • Tig says:

Amen to everything you said. And every time I read a comment from a dweller on Planet Doormat who goes on about “forgiveness, and luvf bet these two” I just want to ask them- ” Is this your idea of a healthy relationship ?” Guess we’ll have to enjoy his upcoming flicks, bec I am afraid there won’t be many after these. Shame bec he has potential.

      • Annie says:

Rob needs to realize that on his own. He needs to be completely aware of everything in order to wake up and move on. His PR team, fans (except the robsten freaks, of course) and family can all be shaking their heads but he needs to get there on his own.

I’ve always seen Kristen as abusive in the way she talks to him and treats him. And then she has the nerve to cheat so publicly. Cheating is inflicting pain and emotional abuse on your partner. Calling it a “mistake” is an over simplification of an issue. The way you can potentially devastate a partner with your unfaithfulness is something that we are all aware of, to some degree. So why do it anyway? It gives you control. It might not seem that way now because Rob left her behind to shoot a movie so far away, but make no mistake – it’s part of her plan. She IS in control still. And people who take any form of abuse have issues of their own. “We take the love we think we deserve.” All the public eye rolls and STFUs are nothing compared to what he takes in private. All her entire negative persona that she can’t hide from anyone (public, tabloids, journalists) is who she really is. It’s there. It’s real.

I truly believe Robert is a good guy. Look how Justin Timberlake dragged Britney through the mud, revealing intimate detsils, and 12 years later he’s STILL not over it, eventhough they were KIDS when all of this happened and he’s known to be unfaithful too. Rob would never do that, so it’s only a matter of time before he realizes it’s time to move on because he truly can do better. He’s a good person.

      • Diana says:

I agree with you Annie. On everything you said. I have hope he will get there on his own.

      • pepper says:

        To Annie

ITA. Their dynamics now might have changed after the reunion. But wouldn’t it be a matter of time before it reverts back to its original ways?

I find K annoying on ALL levels. She is a dimwit and a coward to say the least. He must be besotted with her to be unaware of her annoying traits. This cheating / lying to his face for months (or at least weeks) probably is the only thing which mildly bothered him about her. How else can one explain his adoration of her?

Maybe Rob is all talk about how he cannot be with a cheater but in private actually gets off on that? He may be in denial about his take on cheating. I really wonder how he deals with it in private when every article about him always has her affair mentioned. Does he gnash his teeth through that and after a few deep breaths pastes a smile on his face and goes back to her and just pretends as though this is not happening to them but to someone else?

From his side it must be real feelings else why put yourself through this? I don’t think she loved him really. Maybe she was infatuated which eventually wore off, hence she got her head turned by another guy. Now she needs Rob and Robsten to have her career back. I am not convinced she loves him at all. She must know how much slack he is getting for being with her. Yet she has no compunction in putting him through that. Until he starts developing feelings for another person (that may not happen soon as he is all booked up in movies with no romantic interest) he will never be able get past her.

He seems like a kind person and every time I say to hell with them I keep coming back to him. One can only hope that he will keep his outing and eventual photo ops with her to a minimum. He always seemed like a guy who had a sense of pride and dignity about him. Wonder whatever happened to that person? 🙁

  16. Annie says:

Two years from now? You know the project will be scrapped before that. Most unnecessary sequel in recent years. Bad reviews, barely made a profit, scandal ridden. Just let it go. Not every movie needs a sequel.

As for Kristen seeing Liberty – you don’t get to be upset. Your life has not changed. Your relationship is fine. You are not the one who had to explain to your little kids that daddy was moving out and was never coming back, but you can see him on the weekends. That is traumatic for a child. Upset? Please. Her only worry was being publicly dumped. Judging by the mini cooper pics, she was not worried about who saw them. She was loving every second of it.

Besides, while she was hanging out with LA riffraff at Coachella, Liberty was actually with important people in the industry. No way was she going to say something.

  17. TG says:

I made the mistake of renting the movie on Fios and somehow bought it for $20 instead. I will watch any fairy tale movie but this one was horrible. Charlize was good but they squandered her role and as mentioned above the fight scene where the queen dies was a huge letdown. I know Kristen and p*ssy rob never need to work again so it must be their ego that keeps them on TGIF business because they are bad actors . Rob couldn’t even be bothered to get fit for the twilight movies.

    • another nina says:

Oh no, that’s unfair – Pattz did worked out fanatically for the first and second Twilight — he did as much as he could…

      • Honey says:

Is that why they had to paint on his abs with makeup?

      • another nina says:

Oh, come on, he got his 6-pack for the 2-nd movie, it was not perfect but it was there. They might have made it more defined but still he did his part.

I find that he lacks acting talent but he is hardworking guy and very dedicated, that I respect about him.

      • Annie says:

They didn’t fake his abs though. If you look at the pictures, he’s clearly very fit and has actual muscle definition. Which he did not have in Twilight, with its fantastically low budget. He had a pot belly and you can see it in the movie! But he got in shape for New Moon because he had to be shirtless.

What happened is that they spray painted his entire body to make him look dead. Not just his face. When you’re that pale you can’t show your muscle definition, which is why body builders tan so much. They couldn’t do that with Rob, so they painted a shadow on his abs, but you can’t really spray paint abs that are not there! You can’t disguise a big belly with PAINT!

      • Honey says:

You can very much see abs, even on pale skin. I’m not saying he was fat, but those abs were not real and they looked ridiculous.

  18. La Calabaza says:

The fist one was really bad, except for Charlize’s acting and she’s “dead” so….

  19. apsutter says:

    Dear Kristen,

    CLOSE YOUR F*CKING MOUTH!

    Regards,
    Humanity

  20. akua says:

This is really bad idea, and doesn’t she thinks people will still be talking about her and Rupert…because people still talk about Brad and Angelina…and most of doesn’t she have respect for her boyfriend….is her agent really stupid, because people are still talking about..even if Rupert wont be directing…and most important doesn’t her PR want the ROBSTEN IS UNBREAKALE… WHY GOES BACK TO THE THING THAT WILL REMIND PEOPLE…EVEN IN TWO YEARS FROM NOW.

  21. Maria says:

lol because you mentioned it i followed the twihard links, wow. they are still thinking this was all made up.
yes tabloids lie. but when you have pictures and public apologies of both parties and a divorce its real.
this is one of the very few stories that has ALL the evidence, its not like they only wrote that kristen met him in a hotel room during promotion.
those conspiracy theories…paps dead and whatnot lol.

    • Annie says:

Some of them are SO stupid, my God.

I think they just want to convince other people that it’s fake. But please. They know the truth. All those photoshop theories were nothing but an act of desperation to save her.

They’re just acting dumb at this point.

    • Get a clue says:

I swear KS has RP convinced it never happened either. It was all a big paparazzi conspiracy.

      • pepper says:

She probably convinced him that all they did was hold hands with an occasional kiss (without tongues) and that day in the minicooper was their only time together and he fell for it.

  22. JenD says:

I just saw the close up of the tshirt she wore to Coachella. That’s something you wear when you’re painting or cleaning your house, not out in public. WTH?

    • Nina W says:

Yeah I have ratty old t’s like that, I sleep in them, NEVER do I wear them in public. When cotton gets worn and old like that it’s really see through and tears very easily. I have boobs so it would not be appropriate in public.

  23. Ramona says:

    1. Face full of make-up with a t-shirt that belongs in the rag pile? (Oh please paps – please take my picture!)

    2. Just hold hands kiss and stop the shenanigans with the press – we know you are together! (Run Rob, Run!)

    3. Get some acting lessons and please close your mouth.

    4. A pen that costs more than a car? To write a script? What could this homeschooled, foul-mouthed, incoherent, inarticulate, emotionally vacant, egotistical brat have to say that anyone would want to make into a movie?

  24. anneesezz says:

Why does she think looking dirty is cool?

    • Xx says:

Lol I work in a particularly hipsterish part of London and it seems that the majority of hipsters act that way – wearing expensive, androgynous outfits and looking very dirty whilst doing so. I roll my eyes so often when I’m in that area.

  25. Ann says:

The original plan was to center the second movie around the Huntsman, and I’d guess they’ll follow that, with Snow White as more of a supporting character (as she was in the first movie).

I agree that Charlize was the best thing about the first movie. It was disappointing, because the movie concept had so much potential, but it was not well executed. I hope they get a new script writer as well as director. It was obvious it was a rookie director at the helm, and I don’t think Universal will make that mistake again.

Stewart wasn’t great in the role, but in total fairness she had little to work with. The whole middle part of the movie had her wandering around in the forest, looking awestruck. No lines, no action. Hemsworth also didn’t have enough to do in the movie. It’s weird that the two title characters were the most poorly fleshed out in the script. Hopefully they’ll address that in the sequel.

It does show how desperate studios are for franchises. The least bit of success will get you a sequel. While Hemsworth’s schedule may be an issue, I’m also guessing Universal wants the dust to settle on the scandal as well. In a couple more years, it will be old news.

    • Nina W says:

Old news but not forgotten. Sadly this thing will dog her forever. The high price of being at the center of the Twilight franchise. Those fans will never forget.

  26. Original A says:

Eh. I know somebody who is familiar with studio politics, and he thinks that they are going to do a spin-off focusing on Chris Hemsworth with Stewart in a small supporting role…because he doesn’t see another way around the bad press. I’m
curious as to why Chris is doing this project, because there is no way they would go forward without Chris Hemsworth on board. That said, her agent is a moron for having her do this project. I know people get hyperbolic in here, but one of her other two films will probably pan out. That indie by the people who did Secretary has financing, so it’s pretty much down to scheduling at this point. Anyway, instead of trying to get her to do blockbusters or indies with somewhat big names,, her agent should have her trying to do supporting roles in small indies to try and gain her some credibility. She received pretty good reviews for her acting in The Runaways, etc. for the most part and her agent is an idiot for not having her pursue more of those types of roles.

    • Tiffany :) says:

“I’m curious as to why Chris is doing this”

Usually they have clauses in the original contract that states if they make a sequel, the star is obligated to sign on if the studio wishes to re-hire them.

      • Original A says:

I doubt Marvel/Disney would have let him sign a contract that locked him into another film. Marvel/Disney is notorious for interfering with their stars…Anyway, I still don’t see either this or the Pitch Perfect sequel actually happening. For the longest time, they were talking about doing a “Arthur and Lancelot” film to the point they had opened a production office and everything…and it never came to fruition. Same with a bunch of other films, like Akira.

    • Viv says:

I’d say if any actor under contract hits it big, he/she is theirs to dally with for any future movies. That said, I would not be surprised to see Chris Hemsworth on Star Trek as George Kirk, but that would, of course, depend on the contract he originally signed with that franchise.

  27. Pastyousayyouneverknew says:

I saw the first movie, didn’t live up to the hype, I can’t imagine why they’d want to make another one – I don’t see how the story can progress from where it was left off to be honest.

  28. renata says:

The first word that comes to mind now when I see pics of Pattinson is “humilation”. I don’t get this guy at all. To me, he comes off like a slobbering little ninny in this whole deal.

And her? I think if she was getting much in the way of really great offers she probably wouldn’t even be considering a Snow White sequel. Between her skills and her behavior things are a bit more “dry” with her career than she thought they would be post-Twilight. The best thing she could do for her career is to disappear for a year or two. Which would make me happy 🙂

    • Nina W says:

They’ve both kind of shot themselves in the foot career-wise. Well she probably shot both her feet. It’s amazing how they went from two of the hottest properties in Hollywood to tabloid fodder with not the greatest prospects. Good thing they’ve got piles of money to keep them warm.

    • kay says:

I believe Kristen has a contract where she would have to pay like 2 million if she wants to be released from the sequel. Obviously she is not going to do that. Kristen may not have a lot of fans but none of them would support the sequel if she was not in it. As for Pattinson I believe he will eventually leave but when it is convienent for him.

  29. Ms.Smurf says:

I have the movie SWATH at home, and trust me, no one in my house will ever pay to see it or its sequel…Kristen Stewart was just straight out bad in the film right down to the monotonous facial expressions and the bad english accent. I was shocked when I saw that because up until then I had considered her to be watchable…in that film she was not, and i have a high tolerence for bad acting. In fact, I think JLo can act better than she can, and that’s saying something.

  30. megsie says:

I can’t for the life of me understand why Stewart would sign on with this thing. Enjoying the bad press? It strikes me as being terribly shameless and dishonorable. She’s pouring salt on a wound.

    • Tiffany :) says:

With many movie contracts, if you sign on for a part they can include a clause that if the studio wants to make a sequel and include you, you HAVE to do it. She might not have had a choice.

  31. erika says:

oh goody goody! another 3 hr film of kstew running! w/ a look of fear on her face!

yeah! uhhms, lip biting and running! ohh! and sword fighting! cuz snow white never carried an oozie!

  32. Janet says:

I caught the first movie on cable TV and switched channels 30 minutes in. I can’t watch that woman. Her acting stinks to high heaven and she has all the expression of a pet rock.

  33. Dani says:

I can’t imagine any married director getting the okay from his wife to work with Kristen. Nothing to do with being insecure or trusting your husband, but everything to do with a known home wrecker on set. I don’t see this movie even being made – she was so awful in the first one, especially in scenes with Charlize.

  34. Dana says:

I bet she will play Anastasia Steele – because no one else wants to, like Emma Watson.
And didn’t some tabloids or gossip sites already write about her using handcuffs etc. with Rob some time ago?

    • Tig says:

The thought of her playing ASteele is cringe-inducing. I can’t imagine the makers of the film even considering her. Never heard of handcuffs-worse was the arm-pit licking- which in hindsight may have been in reference to Ru-perv as opposed to Rob.

  35. kingkayski says:

As much as i like Kristen Stewart as an actress ,i for one wish that she would pass on this SWATH sequel.I really like the first one ,but after what may or may not happened last year between the two of them(Rupert)i just think that this is like added salt to the injury on Robs part. Not unless, they put Rob as her prince(wishing on my part) then maybe its a little bit okay(you know like stand by your woman shit)since they’re together still anyways and seems to be in love than ever,so why not? What can i say i’m a sucker for happily ever after BS.Then for sure this will be BO hit,win win for Rob!!

  36. aquarius64 says:

This was the most brain-dead move on both Kristen and Universal’s parts. The sequel will only resurrect SWATH-gate again. Even if Universal manages to put a gag on the entertainment press not to mention the Mini-Cooper mess, it will be discussed for TWO YEARS on social media and sites like this. I guess the studio heads believe since Rob didn’t dump Kristen it’s safe to hire her for the sequel. Although Rob is not in this movie, dollar bet he will be part of the promotion: photo ops of his showing up on set to visit Kristen, proving that he’s ok with her going back to the scene of the crime. The pressure will really be on to show the world a loved-up Robsten; that he has truly forgiven her for her “momentary indiscretion” (sure). Speaking of which, somebody at Universal better at least had the sense to vet her about that hook-up before re-hiring her. That is, make sure the “no sex” claim is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Kristen should have not said anything on that front; for it invites the press to prove otherwise. If that happens she’d be crucified for lying to the public in order to save her career. Also, Universal should have Kristen sign a contract with a morals clause: create another scandal that can hurt the film at the box office it comes out of her pay.

Overall, the decision is still a bad one. The ratings at the MTV Movie Awards prove Twilight has lost its pull: the ratings went UP when it wasn’t the Twilight awards. (So much for the Twi-hard boycott.) Kristen lost in her category to a Hobbit, showing other people outnumber her fans. I don’t understand Universal’s thinking in this, but then again this studio green-lighted “John Carter” and “Battleship”.

  37. Kristine says:

I wanted to like the movie but I thought it was terrible. I’m really surprised they’re making a second one.

  38. Eden says:

I usually in total agreement ith you on these two… But I have to say, you’ve seemed to lose sight of one important observation.

Regarding Robert… With no real obligation to be connected to Kristen other than she’s putting out and he’s in a total win win, he doesn’t come off as spineless but more as against the norm. Social comformity requires he do the thing society expected and easy to do – dump her. I expected it. Hey, he can get tail anywhere. He could’ve focused on his career, jetset and travel and screw around like all the other Hollywood playboy dweebs pretending like theyre Rob Pattinson at 27 instead of 47. But, I think his actions show he’s proven to be a “No guts, no glory” “it takes big balls to stand beside her” kind of guy. Who would… It would be easy to ditch her and run. Too easy. But it takes a seriously strong MAN to stay, make her fix her ways and stand with his head held high. I’m sure he is running the show slot more than before and took off the rose colored glasses…. And she’s pretty much kissing his ass but I think they’re genuinely in like-love… For now. It’s not the end of world, the boy is only mid 20s, he could definitely chick this off later as a thing of the past but rethink about how you’re phrasing him as a spineless guy bc it takes a prett big pair to take the heat and walk the path he’s on. More guts than I thought he had originally. He seemed less secure before. He’s very smart and wouldn’t do this if he had no benefit. Thanks. Stop calling him sparkles…. More like Sex Hair. Thx
