Did John Legend cheat on fiancée Chrissy Teigen with some random club girl?

Bad news for all of us who were crushing on John Legend: he’s probably a cheater. John has been engaged to Chrissy Teigen, a model, since Christmas 2011. I see interviews with her occasionally where she’s talking about their wedding plans, and there has been no rumor (that I’m aware of) of any alleged breakup or problem with their engagement. And now Page Six says that John was totally making out with some random chick at a club the other night. UGH. I thought you were a “feminist” John!!!

Cute crooner John Legend cheated on his Sports Illustrated swimsuit model fiancée, Chrissy Teigen, by smooching a young woman the other night at a Manhattan hotspot, Page Six has exclusively learned.

Legend’s lusty lip-lock came days before Teigen complained via Twitter about other women who want to “[bleep] my fiancé.” And Legend has this week been talking about his impending marriage, and baby plans with Teigen in interviews.

Sources tell us the kiss came when Legend was at Acme on Friday night. A spy said the suave performer was partying with male pals who struck up a conversation with “two pretty girls in their late 20s, one blond and one brunette” at the next table. After “chatting all night,” the witness said the blonde got up to go to the bathroom after 1 a.m., and “John followed her.”

Legend was then seen pulling the woman into a bathroom with him. “He was walking in, and just grabbed her arm and brought her with him,” said the witness. Another witness also confirmed seeing the “Green Light” singer pull the lady into the bathroom, and later overheard the bathroom babe telling her friend that she and Legend shared “a steamy make-out session.”

“They were in there a couple minutes,” said a source. But, the union was apparently short-lived.“The same girl saw another hot guy and started talking to him,” one spy said. Reps for Legend and Teigen had no comment.

Teigen, the host of VH1’s “Model Employee” who recently got into hot water with Instagram for posting a nude pic of herself, tweeted Monday: “I honestly think so many more of us would get along if you didn’t want to [bleep] my fiancé.” Legend, who’s been engaged to Teigen since 2011, said in an interview this week, “There’s a song on my album that actually could be pretty good for the wedding. ‘All of Me’ . . . it’s inspired by Chrissy.”

The two attended a screening together Tuesday night, and, “They seemed very much together,” a spy said. “They were beaming and happy and holding hands.”

[From Page Six]

Of course this could all be BS. Page Six gets it wrong sometimes, but I don’t understand why they would go out of their way to make up a story about John Legend. I mean, it’s not like he’s a tabloid fixture and it’s not like there’s any kind of drama with him in general. So does Chrissy know that Legend goes out and makes out with randoms? Does she accept it? Or will this be the end of their engagement? Ugh.

Update: Bedhead just pointed out that Chrissy is on Twitter, putting the NY Post on blast for this story. Go here to read her tweets. She doesn’t believe that Legend would fool around on her at all.

NOOOOO! This would totally give me the sads.

    • amilu says:

Nooooooooooooooooo! I love her. And I love him. And I love them. But if this is true, she gets my allegiance. I love her the most.

  2. Pastyousayyouneverknew says:

Anything can happen – he wouldn’t be the first. Not to say that that makes it okay, I’m hoping that this is bs cuz I actually really like his music and he seems like a decent guy but it’s not impossible.

  3. MsAubra says:

True or not, maybe this will quench this stupid bird’s thirst to always come for people on twitter!

  4. tank says:

Page six may not have made it up but their “source” could have!

  5. LaBetenoir says:

so someone “overheard [her] telling her friend that she and Legend shared “a steamy make-out session.”

does anyone actually talk like that? outside of tabloids and soap opera people, I mean? Personally, I’ve never referred to anything as steamy besides a sauna, a shower, or a kettle.

  6. pretty says:

ooh.. his song ‘who did that to you’ is sooo good… 🙂

  7. Shelley says:

    She’s a swimsuit model????!!! hmmmkay.
Anyhoo, I never bought into John Legend’s good guy act…but I hope for her sake it isn’t true.

    • Shannon says:

She’s funny looking to me. And her boobs are weird. Yeah a swimsuit model. Whatever.

      • amilu says:

Her boobs are weird?! Oh, please. Let’s see yours then.

      • Shannon says:

My opinion is her boobs look weird. What does that have to do with MY tits. Apparently no one can have an opinion about celebs on here without being personally attacked. SMH

      • amilu says:

What’s weird about her boobs? I’m REALLY curious about your opinion. They look like healthy, natural breasts to me. I can’t imagine what one might find “weird” about them.

Sure you can express your opinion, but your opinion *kiiiind of* makes you sound like a body-snarking mean girl.

If you considered that a personal attack, it sounds like you’ve got a bad case of First World Problems.

  8. oce says:

I can see her attraction, but Chrissy comes off as rather thrashy. One recent(ish) example was her interview on Andy Cohen’s “Watch what happens Live!”. As far as fiances/wives go, John Legend can do soooo much better.

  9. Hoya_chick says:

They are joking about it on their twitter pages for what it’s worth. I don’t like her for a lot of reasons I’ve already stated in a previous post. I don’t think she would leave him even if he did cheat (there have been rumors for years that she is his beard, so I kinda don’t believe this particular story) because he makes her a lot more relevant than she would ever be without him. She is not a supermodel. At all.

Lol Ms. Aubra! That is soooo true.

  10. FreeSpiritedGirl says:

God, why just why do people in a relationship cheat? Why can’t they just dump their partners and then hook up with anyone? >_<

  11. Patrice says:

So let me get this straight: Now random club girls (the article’s own words, not mine) merely CLAIMING that they “made out” with someone famous or otherwise-btw, who above the age of 16 uses such phrasing? That’s pretty telling in and of itself-is all reporters or the general public needs as definitive “proof” of it actually occurring??

I’ve had a major h*rd-on for hating the news media for quite some time now for pulling s**t exactly like this. I swear, these days, even the most legitimate print and tv news sounds like a bunch of gossipy high school students spreading any rumors that they hear, no matter how ridiculous sounding, as the hard and fast truth without ever bothering to consider the source it’s coming from.

    • FLORC says:

      Patrice
If someone is in the club scene I wouldn’t gauge their mental state to be higher than 16. Maybe the author of the article just wanted to use those words to make it more visual?

  12. diva says:

You sure it wasn’t a man he allegedly cheated with?

  13. Lenna says:

I follow her on twitter and really like her. She eats, she doesn’t seem to have her head up her ass, she’s refreshing

    • needmeds says:

Yep, she’s pretty funny. The tweets today in ref to this Post story are amusing.

    • claire says:

I’m a total Chrissy fan-girl. Love that woman. And her mom? Also adorable and hilarious.

  14. Patrice says:

@LaBetenoir: My point exactly! Never believe anything that comes out the mouth of someone who is a club fixture and speaks like that 😀

It’s incredible to me that so many CB commenters could have read the same above story and taken it to the level of “OMG, John Legend cheated on Chrissy!” “I always suspected him of not being a nice guy anyway!!”

Ladies, please keep in mind that even the article itself admits:

    1. No one actually EVER actually saw John kiss this “cute blonde” club girl.

    2. Said girl was “overheard” by a “source” telling someone else that she had a “steamy make out session” with him (Lol. I’m sure those words were really said.)

    3. And finally, all of this was supposedly overheard by Page Six’s “source” who was apparently spying on a private conversation in a super loud nightclub?? Ok.

I’m all for salacious gossip, but this one is just too far fetched even for Page Six’s standards…

  15. Jayna says:

Page Six gets a LOT wrong. I remember Howard Stern talking about that guy writing a story that was totally false, not one sliver true. He said he even called the guy and said, This isn’t even true. Why didn’t you call and ask? He said after that he used to believe everythng on Page Six until then.

  16. Lboogie says:

I don’t believe that story. He was on the radio just this morning filling in for Steve Harvey and all he did was gush about how much he cared about her. She also called in to the radio show to plug her VH1 show and talk to him and the audience.

  17. Dawn says:

More than likely but when has cheating become news? Don’t they all do it Hollyweird?

  18. tabby says:

He probably did cheat on her, but with some random guy not girl!

  19. j.eyre says:

Is he wearing a bathrobe in the first photo?

  20. heyu says:

Suprised it wasn’t with a man..

To many rumours in black gossip blogs\forums of him being on the downlow

  21. drdoolittling says:

She is awesome! I hope not; yesterday she tweeted him cooking her dinner. She is really actually very funny and witty and her mom is hilarious.

  22. eggy weggs says:

Call me crazy, guys, but can’t you still be a feminist and cheat on your partner?

    • Barhey says:

I think so. I mean, there are a lot of lady feminists who cheat. Having a certain political/social worldview doesn’t make you immune to being a jerk imo.

I remember reading a study about how sometimes because overcompensate in one moral area and so they feel like they can act worse in others. Like they did a study and found a lot of people who are (for example) intense environmentalists tend not give to charity or treat people bad. I couldn’t find the study though sorry!
