The Hollywood Life story is completely ridiculous and I would expect nothing less from the Twihards over at HL, but it was simply too rich NOT to cover. I think it’s a perfect example of how Robert Pattinson’s fans see him – as the romantic hero, as the sweet, earnest, shy, reluctant heartthrob. For what it’s worth, I think Rob has some of those qualities. But I also think he’s a dude and dudes love boobs. Let’s not overthink this, Twihards. So, here’s your lol of the day:
It looks like Robert Pattinson won’t be spending anytime in the bedroom soon! After his split with Kristen Stewart, a source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that Rob doesn’t want to jump into bed with any other girls anytime soon!
“As for other girls, he isn’t sleeping with anyone yet, because he likes to have an emotional connection first,” the source reveals.
The insider adds that Rob doesn’t mind fooling around with girls, but he’s really looking for a deeper connection with someone before he would consider sleeping with them.
The source notes, “His type now is definitely blonde — it looks like he’s moving as far away from K-Stew as possible.”
It appears that Rob and Kristen’s split was the result of several different issues. A source tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY that one of the reasons they broke up was because the Twilight franchise ended.
“They don’t have a Twilight movie to return to; when they had those movies they fell back into why they fell in love in the first place,” a source reveals. “It just felt right that they were a couple during the filming of those films.”
The source compares Rob and Kristen’s issues to The Bachelor: “Imagine being on The Bachelor and not looking for love. When Kristen and Rob were filming the Twilight series, this was where they fell in love. It was like going back to a honeymoon or renewing their vows. They don’t have that now, so add that with the other stuff, and you can see why their relationship has strained.”
Yes, because what 27-year-old man merely wants to “fool around” with bimbos (in lieu of actually having sex with them) after a terrible breakup? Oh, right. EVERY MAN. Rob may be sensitive. He may picture himself with some smart, intellectual, artistic woman who will be his equal in sparkling and feminism, but at the end of the day… he likes boobs. And armpit sex. And coming out of a four-year relationship, he’s in the mood for low-hanging fruit. Which is one of the nicer things that Katy Perry has ever been called. Meanwhile, Katy Perry is just thrilled that he’s not into wheelchair p0rn.
Meanwhile, OK! Magazine has a lengthy story about how Kristen made all of these crazy demands on Rob and that’s what “drove him away”. Allegedly, after Kristen cheated on Rob, she wanted to pick up where they left off and she pushed Rob for a big commitment. She wanted to elope with Rob and she wanted his sparkle-baby. It freaked him out and a source says, “If Rob had got his way they would still be dating, but taking things slow.” Gossip Cop just has a general “OK! Mag is always wrong about everything” denial from no one specific, which makes sense. OK! Mag is terrible.

Well, my two brothers were like this, and they had girls ALL over them. They always wanted a steady for security, and to avoid disease. Pattinson also has to worry about every hookup potentially selling the story. People are gross (and I think Hollywood is the STD capitol).
Yeah this isn’t really far fetched, especially when you look back at Rob’s history, and how it’s always steady relationships. That I know of, it was the Nina girl during his HP days. Lived with her for three years. Broke up, moved to LA, immediately started filming Twilight hooked up with Nikki Reed on and off for almost a year, stayed single for a bit, the only possible hook up was the Cannes girl who sold pictures and then Kristen for like 4 years.
I do think Rob is very romantic, but he does like sex. I just don’t think every guy has to be promiscuous. I wish him some fun times though. He deserves it!
Hell yes. My brother has the fear of 9th grade health class in him and he’s 20. He broke it off with his g/f of 5 years and has been single despite me personally witnessing offers from girls after he finishes a college basketball game. It’s not out of the question.

Rob doesn’t even have a publicist, and if he did, I doubt they’d go to Hollywood Life or OK with this kind of dribble. I think they are just playing into the fanfiction here.

Just because he doesn’t have a publicist doesn’t mean his team isn’t using PR. Anyone can perform PR. Public relations is simply the dissemination of news from an organization to the public. Amanda Bynes executes pr tactics from her twitter account. Yes, no one buys into it but she still is using the pr strategy
If that’s what’s going on, they’re doing it exactly wrong. I don’t think Pattinson approved this stuff — but if he did, he looks like a whiny little baby. There’s an Edward Cullen “Nice Guy” vibe from it, and that’s exactly where Pattinson should not go, career-wise. He needs to play something entirely different for a while.

I think its possible for men to have different values that place more significance on sex. I really dislike that its assumed that all men are run by their sex drive. I know plenty of dudes who don’t go have sex with “low hanging” fruit after a break up. I think it shows some maturity.

I think Katy Perry is just as gross as Kristen Stewart. If Kristen would clean up and stop hanging around other equally gross people she would be attractive. Years ago when I first saw her there was something special about her and I saw a mini preview of Twilight sitting I the theatre about a year before it ever came out and I had ever even heard of twilight the books she was magnetic and I thought of her as a wild creature. I guess I was projecting big time onto her which is what we tend to do with celebs. She turned out to be a Hollywood cliche, boring and with out any intellectual abilities.
She was an interesting actress when she was 16/17 in Into the Wild and Adventureland, and even Twilight. She was young, undone(but still seemingly clean), she played the angsty damaged teen very well. She had a pretty face and took on sexual characters and didn’t do the Disney thing. She had something going…. when she was 16.
She’s 23 now, and is still that same undone angsty girl. It’s not working anymore, and she’s devolved if anything, she’s regressed. It’s happening right before our eyes when she seemed immune to the childstar pitfalls a year ago.

From a PR standpoint, it was a big mistake when he went on the Daily Show and ate ice cream or cookies and did that whole skit. All franchises are different. Only time will tell if actors can break from their ‘big’ role or not.
They may even act in another movie/franchise that is equally successful in the future. Look at Harrison Ford.
In my opinion, Daniel Radcliffe is willing to go the extra mile, diversifying in theatre and movies. He is obviously not trying the easy road, challenging himself by learning to dance (very well!) for his Broadway play.
Only time will tell if he is successful or not after HP but, even then, ‘success’ is a relative term. Daniel seems to be more interested in being taken as a versatile actor rather than doing blockbuster movies.
I so agree- even Harrison Ford isn’t exactly comparable, bec he was in his 30s w/ Stars Wars. What I don’t get is bashing folks who were in big movies when they were young- having said that, hope Max Irons finds a good movie soon- tho I thought he was good on “The Host”.
