LeAnn Rimes claims her album is ‘at no one’s expense but mine’ & ‘just the truth’

LeAnn Rimes appeared on Good Morning America yesterday. She was full of it. I couldn’t even get through the whole interview because if I rolled my eyes one more time, it was going to give me a seizure. Obviously, LeAnn was promoting Spitfire, which is still getting okay-to-positive reviews, which is absolutely a mystery to me. I’ve heard parts of “Spitfire” and “What Have I Done” (which LeAnn sang for GMA) and they’re both terrible songs. Should we have different standards for country music? I don’t think so – while I’m not a big country music listener, I can listen to Carrie Underwood or Miranda Lambert and I understand why their hit songs are so popular. I don’t understand it with LeAnn’s current songs. At all.

As for the interview, LeAnn told Robin Roberts, “I went through every emotion you can imagine in the last four and a half years and that’s what comes through. It was a roller coaster ride, as you can imagine…. It finally felt like I ripped that tape off my mouth and had something to say. But at no one else’s expense but mine. This is just the truth.” O RLY? “No one’s expense but mine”? “Just the truth”? LeAnn really does live in her own little world. LeAnn also hilariously defended her Twitter addiction, saying it’s “just life. I’ve approached everything I’m a human being. I have the right to share my happiness and my failures like everybody else.” Here’s the interview:

Here’s her performance of “What Have I Done” – this song is about Dean, I guess? It’s awful.

The Billy Bush interview was better…no butt kissing and she was squirming. A real interview, not her canned fluff.

    • MrsB says:

Is there a link to watch the Billy Bush interview?

you can listen to it here. 🙂 Hope that helps.

        brin and jasperkitty-

I saw the Billy Bush interview yesterday and thought it was hysterical. Yeah, that interview DID make Horsey squirm. I think it really came through in Billy’s interviewing style and demeanor that he doesn’t care for her very much. Good for him.

      • MrsB says:

        Thank you @Jasperkitty!

That was rather funny, I love the part where she says “That’s a really personal question actually” because she is SUCH a private person bahahaha.

      • brin says:

@nc_magnolia…I agree…and I’ve seen him allude to that when he’s done reports on her. Trick should have done her homework before she went on.

      • arock says:

anyone find a video link? im just seing audio.

      • Cirque28 says:

Thanks for the link jasperkitty! Did anyone else notice where LeAnn says, “It’s a world wind” instead of whirlwind? Her lack of education is always glaringly obvious when she goes off script.

And apparently her southern accent is suddenly back since she’s trying to promote herself as a serious country artist. I hope she has Eddie Rimes using a southern accent soon as well, because that would be hilarious.

      • gail says:

in the 1st picture, she could be the grinchs twin if she was just green

    • lainey says:

new name for edster should be TAG-ALONG EDDIE yup, I like it,looked like he couldn’t wait to get the heck out of there.

    • K-rock says:

Agreed. I saw that interview and it was way better. I love when he asked her questions she didn’t want to or know how to answer. Go him!

    • Deanne says:

So, so interesting that when Billy asked her to tell what the lies were, she said that they didn’t have time, yet continued to talk for another 12 minutes. She’s so full of it that it must be seeping out of every pore on her body. Sociopaths deflect just the way LeAnn does. I hate when people say “I hate the word regret”. It’s so narcissistic. You can’t say “I wish I did things differently” and then say “I don’t use the word regret”. You are basically cancelling yourself out. In LeAnn’s case, lack of regret, indicates lack of remorse and that would make her whole life and her whole record album, a great big lie. That’s what people get from her when she does these interviews. A liar who feels no remorse and who only thinks of things from her own perspective.

  2. Pastyousayyouneverknew says:

I used to really love her music but I’m definitely not going to be buying anything she puts out. She should stick to tweeting.

    • steph says:

Does anyone have sales figures for the album or the single? I know its early days in the States but its been out in the UK for a month right? Did it hit projected figures.

      • FLOP says:

It’s a flop this is with half of the numbers in it flopped

        http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/sales/salescht.cgi

      • Pastyousayyouneverknew says:

@steph WHOA. I live in the UK and I didn’t even know that there WAS a single. Yikes.

      • Shitfire says:

The album is #30 on iTunes but I couldn’t find a single in the top singles chart. I couldn’t find it at all on Billboard. That being said, she is a fucking asshole.

      • ya says:

The album won’t sell – it’s partly because of Leann’s public image problem, but also because it’s classic country music, which doesn’t sell anymore anyway.

Carrie Underwood, Taylor Swift etc all put out Shania-esque country-pop (which Leann used to do as well).

      • Christin says:

Classic country is traditional country in my book. There is a certain singer from Texas who holds the record for most number one albums in country music history. He is number 11 in all music genres for most number one albums. His style has always been good ole country music for the 30 years he’s been known to the masses. He doesn’t publicize his private life or show up in pap pics. And that is the Strait truth. 🙂

Two more gold or platinum albums and he will pass Elvis and the Beatles for most gold and platinum albums in the history of music, period. But if classic country doesn’t sell, maybe George should switch styles, right?

      • apsutter says:

@Christin-Awwwww…I love George! I’m not much of a country fan anymore but I grew up with the stuff and always loved him! I had no idea his sales numbers were so substantial!

      • ya says:

Christin, I think George Strait is an exception to the rule, and he also has huge support from Nashville – that might be because of his very conservative image.

The Dixie Chicks 10 years ago might be another example of classic country selling well, though like Leann Rimes, they got caught up in negative publicity and blacklisting in Nashville.

I think Loretta Lynn is more of an example of the general trend – her Van Lear Rose album from a few years ago was fantastic, received critical acclaim, and sold well by her standards, but not hugely.

      • ya says:

I agree though that her bad public image is definitely affecting her sales.

      • apsutter says:

How about Dolly Parton as well? She had a new album a couple years ago that did pretty well if I remember correctly.

      • apsutter says:

Just to put this into perspective George Strait’s album has been out for 13 weeks and he sold double what she this past week. Also Adele is still on the charts and only sold 1500 less than Shitfire!

      • Patricia C says:

Its not getting any play on country music stations.

  3. JenD says:

Her truth and the truth seem to be very, very different.

  4. Snowpea says:

Her and Ed are just major losers and dullards.

    • Susie Q says:

Agreed, I wonder if she’s had her aha moment, the moment when she realizes that Eddie isn’t all that, that her ‘prize’ is actually the booby prize.

  5. Toot says:

LeAnn’s a mess, but that voice is still great. She can sing a song.

    • Rinny says:

UGH. I hate to agree, but I do.

      Great voice.

Can’t stand her. In fact, I may LOVE to hate her!

      • lainey says:

actually, it sounds to me like she has marbles in her mouth, can understand very few of the words

    • Susan says:

There are a lot of people who can sing . I will support somebody else . She is just trash
      !

    • blannie says:

I agree. I like “What have I done” but I can’t stand watching her sing it with her overly dramatic face and hand movements. She’s not someone I’ll support, but her voice sounds really good on that song.

Too bad she’s made such bad choices in her personal life that have affected others so negatively.

      • ya says:

There are so many singers/musicians who have crazy personal lives though. Same with actors. If I stopped supporting anyone with a personal life I disagree with then I’d have to stop listening to a ton of music.

      • MoxyLady007 says:

@ya – we all have to draw that line for ourselves. I draw it at singers who abuse women – Chris brown – and women who stalk harass and bully the ex wife of their now husband. Aka Leann rimes.

      • ya says:

Blannie – completely agree – for me, domestic violence is where I draw the line too.

Infidelity is way too common though in celebrity circles so I don’t really care much about it, especially in this situation where all the parties involved are playing the tabloids for $$$ and notoriety.

    • littlestar says:

I think some of the songs that I’ve heard off of her new album are really good. “What Have I Done” is really good (just hate the subject matter of all of her songs). Very old school country sounding. Whoever did the fiddle work on her songs is amazing. I’m not a fan of country music, but even I’m tired of pop music people like Miranda Lambert trying to pass her crap music off as country.

      • Lucinda says:

It’s definitely old school country but it’s also boring. Old school country doesn’t have to be that way. Her voice is not as strong as it used to be either. And unfortunately, because she has put her life out there so explicitly, it’s hard to listen to her song without making a judgement on her. There is no “this is just an character I’m playing in the song.” That’s a real problem.

    • Pandy says:

This is probably the first time I’ve heard her sing and she does have a nice voice. I hate to say it, but I like the song.

  6. stevie says:

She can sing but I would be seething if I were her ex! How patronizing!

    • Rinny says:

I haven’t seen the Billy Bush interview mentioned by Brin – BUT…. if it was REAL questions and not just fluff… I imagine that’s why her ex-husband tweeted this:
      “‏@Deansheremet 16h
      I wanna be @billybush when I grow up, he’s a brilliant interviewer.”

      hahahahahahaha!

      • UsedToBeLulu says:

Ooh burned! Thanks for the ‘retweet’!

      • SouthernGal says:

Follow Dean on Twitter and YES he did say that. I was like HAHAHA!!! He gets his digs in every once in awhile. Wish he could write a book or at least his sister. She loathes LeAnn.

      • karmasabiatch! says:

        Rinny-

        Hahahahahaha!!

Thanks for the heads up, that’s hysterical. So glad that Dean got a wee bit of satisfaction out of the freak show Falcor has attempted to make of his and Brandi’s lives. Go, Billy…GO Billy!

      • thingsthatmakemelaugh says:

He (Dean) also posted the other day on twitter something about the fact of only having 8,300 followers but at least his were all real. Haha!

      • brin says:

Billy Bush replied to Dean’s tweet “Which interview are you referring to?” LOL..well played, sir!
He also said he’s getting a lot of good feedback.

    • Christin says:

HE is the one who truly has had tape over his mouth for 4 years. If he signed a confidentiality agreement (which I assume was part of his divorce deal), then is it really fair to continue bringing him and their relationship into interviews, music, etc.?

      • claire says:

I guess he’s really the winner because he has a new wife he loves, a new career, no more Leann to deal with and whatever amount of money he got out of it. But still…it would burn me up to be stifled in telling my story, then watch my nutjob ex tell her story ad nauseum for four years.

      • Christin says:

Maybe in the future, anyone signing a confidentiality agreement with a celebrity will insist on it being reciprocal. This would be an excellent example of why to do it. And if the celebrity refuses, just go write a book. I think he probably could have written a best seller that would have been talked about for years.

      • ya says:

Christin, Leann’s basically hung herself anyway with all of her media blathering…. So it’s worked out much better for Dean in the end.

A joint confidentiality agreement would have been a good thing though, but for Leann.

It’s funny, before this scandal, I remember gossip on the internet about how creepy Dean was, and the curiosity about why Leann was with someone like that. Crazy how quickly her public image has shifted since then.

  7. Lucy2 says:

She thinks she should be able to do whatever she wants with no consequences. When she puts it all out there publicly, people are going to respond!
Even of her album was great, I doubt it will sell well.

    • gogoGorilla says:

      +1

I won’t even bother to listen to it, because she’s so irritating a personality to me. And I wouldn’t even care about the cheating if she wasn’t such a lunatic. I mean, people do stupid and hurtful things in relationships all the time–but they generally don’t continue to torment everyone around them with it, you know? And all the bonus mom crap and lawsuits against innocent people–there’s no way one cent of mine is going to support any of her craziness.

  8. Arock says:

Take away screwing a guy and shed have nothing at this point. No songs, no social discussions, no validity, and even less relevancy. Getting caught with her hand down her bonus dudes pants literally defines every aspect of her life.
    Idiot.

  9. Southerngal says:

Love the Billy Bush interview. He had her squirming and that one opportunity she had to give an example of a lie….she couldn’t. Know why? Because they aren’t lies. All this bs about her life is skewed, she’s human and live no regrets are all lies. She is a smug, entitled, selfish bi*ch who tore apart a family but you have no regrets. Then she blames Brandi for always talking about it….yet she hasn’t shut up about it on 4yrs. I mean has she forgotten about all of the documented proof on the internet (interviews, articles, paid pap shots and Twitter). This b*tch is psycho for real.

    • emmie_a says:

      Perfect description of LeAnn.

    • Jennifer says:

I thought the exact same things. Leann was the one herself who was illustrating just the type of “human” she is by releasing pics of her sucking on his fingers, canceling a concert to follow him to a sports event, wearing the exact clothes Brandi was wearing, and twittering tactless things.

Actions speak louder than words and Leann’s actions show that she is the liar.

      • Patricia C says:

Taking a picture of herself sitting on a urinal in a public bathroom. My God, who does that?

    • claire says:

There has to be a legit mental illness there, right? How else can it be explained that after hundreds of interviews and thousands of tweets…she can with a straight face say that the affair is only relevant because Brandi won’t stop talking about it???

      • kpoodle says:

Yes! I *almost* feel sorry for her, because she is so delusional and far removed from reality, that she has no idea what is acceptable adult behavior. Except I can’t, because she is just such a mean spiteful person. I can’t help feeling that she deserves every bit of negativity and bad karma that she gets because she projects it on others.

      • emmie_a says:

Claire: I think she has Narcissistic Personality Disorder with Psychosis. That’s the only way I can stomach her delusions.

      • Cam S says:

“I have the right to share my happiness and my failures like everybody else.”- (Translation- “I have the right to gloat about my false sense of happiness and tweet about my step kids to piss off Brandi”.)
^^^ Yes, you do. As a public, we reserve the right to gossip about you, form opinions and call BS on your lies. Thanks for oversharing!

      • claire says:

@emmie_a: I have to agree on the NPD. There’s no other explanation, it seems. But what does the psychosis part represent?

      • emmie_a says:

Hi Claire: I’m going with the ‘delusion’ part of psychosis…

A delusion as in “a false belief based on incorrect inference about external reality that is firmly sustained despite what almost everyone else believes and despite what constitutes incontrovertible and obvious proof or evidence to the contrary.”

Just my opinion but she illustrates this type of behavior to some degree.

      • msw says:

Aghhh. Please, armchair shrinks, STOP diagnosing. This has gotten ridiculous. Even a professional should not be diagnosing people they are not treating. The personality disorders and schizophrenic disorders, especially, are extremely complicated and they are not something you can just assign by flipping through a DSM. There are enough misdiagnoses out there without the peanut gallery adding to the list.

These definitions don’t even matter. LeAnn is an entitled asshole who is out of touch with reality–it doesn’t make a bit of difference if she fits into the definition of narcissistic personality or not (which, by the way, does NOT come with psychosis as part of the package–and LeAnn being an out of touch with reality dick doesn’t count). You guys are trying way too hard to diagnose personality disorders (which many professionals, including myself, think are bs anyway) and psychosis, which you cannot possibly do. Stop it.

      • Emily C. says:

@msw — People are in love with diagnosing personality disorders on the internet these days. There’s always been armchair diagnosing, but in just the last year, the frenzy for claiming various random people have personality disorders in particular has skyrocketed. And I agree with you, it’s incredibly annoying.

      • msw says:

It really has gotten out of control in the past few years, and it’s at best annoying; at worst, harmful. It’s very difficult for experienced, professionally trained people to diagnose these things sometimes. It’s completely beyond me why people with no practical experience or education beyond a bachelor’s degree in psych think they can pinpoint a diagnosis on a stranger. It’s a dynamic process that many professionals are already being lazy with. We don’t need more crap floaters out there. I beg of you all, stop. Just stop.

      • emmie_a says:

msw & Emily: Calm.down. The diagnoses are just a fun and interesting way to justify her behavior and mean absolutely nothing. And maybe take your own advice: After ranting about how the lesser-educated (you know what they say about people making assumptions…) shouldn’t be diagnosing, you went right ahead and diagnosed.

      • UsedToBeLulu says:

Sorry MSW (masters in social work?), but I don’t see the harm in people speculating on the internet, about the root causes of a celebrit outoutrageous character. And a fair number of us have close up and personal experience with BPSDs. And a masters in social work doesn’t give you the right to automatically assume that someone else doesn’t know what they are talking about.
Paranormal Girl is a psychiatrist who posts here, and she never comes off half as condescending.

      • msw says:

I haven’t diagnosed anybody, emmie. I have no idea what you’re referring to. Lulu, if I sound condescending, so be it. I’m not going out of my way to attack anybody, I’m jyst frustrated with this whole phenomenon. I’m not assuming about the experience and education of some of these posters, as they’ve outright stated it. In reference to the poster i replied to in this case, yes, i did assume, as a personwho is qualified to diagnose anybody would not armchair diagnose a narcissitic personality disorder with psychosis. First of all, NPD with Psychosis doesn’t exist, and emmie is alsoblacking some understanding of what constitutes psychosis.

I’ve seen a lot of harm done to people who have been misdiagnosed with personality disorders and disorders with psychotic features in particular. I don’t think it’s something to play around with, especially by unknowing people who are broadcasting their half-baked theories to a wide audience jyst for funsies. I am tired of being nice about it. After the millionth ill informed comment I’ve read about Amanda, Lindsay, 2007 Britney, LeAnn and whoever else is acting up this year! I wasn’t feeling like being cool about it today.

      • msw says:

I wanted to add, if it seems harmless and all in good fun, ask a doctor what he or she thinks about non medical professionals giving their medical opinions online, or patients seeking advice from Dr Internet. You have no idea who you jight be affecting. Possibly no one, but possibly causing harm without meaning to.

    • Susie Q says:

I think she’s just an asshole.

  10. Insomniac says:

And once again we have to hear about how hard the last few years were on HER. Never mind the people who were hurt by her awful behavior — she suffered so much. She really doesn’t get it.

  11. Brin M says:

I watch the Access Hollywood interview and loved how she dance around questions: I loved how Billy asked her “why not walk away from Eddie knowing his was married with kids? Why did you not just walked away” ?? Horsey could not answer bc she pretty much stalked EC. My guess is as fugly as she is- and someone good looking as EDiot looked at her even TWICE- Dean was non existent in her world.

    • MonicaQ says:

That’s my question. You *knew* he was married. You *knew* he had kids. You still went ahead with it anyway and now have the *gall* to act like you’re the perfect “Mom +1”.

So why? How can someone be that freakin’ selfish? Just makes me mad. That’s the root of my dislike and really not much she can do about that publicly.

      • Lady D says:

It’s her cruelty that I find a complete turnoff. Utterly despicable actions, and someone to be avoided at all costs.

  12. Kiddo says:

I watched part of that Bush interview last night, strolling through channels, and I never realized before that she could actually sing. She was great at 14 and incredibly pretty back then too. It has got to be a tremendous mind-F when your glory days are in childhood. Peaking that early, and then the downhill trajectory, explains a lot for me.

    • karmasabiatch! says:

      Kiddo-

It may explain her behaviour- but for me, it will never justify her behavior. You can only sing “Waah, woe is me, I was a poor little entitled, rich pop star who never had a childhood” for so long, before the notes start falling flat.

OMG, I am SOOoo gonna enjoy the fallout when her poisonous karma kicks in.

      • Kiddo says:

        Karma,

I didn’t say I liked her. I simply saw her as a reality personality. I didn’t realize she had talent and was a kid star.

She should get out of the limelight for a while and get sh*t together.

    • randand00 says:

The mind-F for me would be looking in my cosmetics bag and closet, only to find that tube of hot pink lipstick and brown boots combination, with the dress and hair, it’s just awful. Eyebrows are overdone. It’s just not pretty. God bless the hot mess that is LeAnn. Ew.

  13. Jennifer says:

It’s a pain in the butt that I can’t watch the View today because she’s supposed to be on it. She’s disgusting.

I can’t believe she’s releasing a whole album about adultery and her affair. Then she has the nerve to say that it’s to get her side of the story out there (how many interviews has she giving in the past few years about the affair?) and that no one can forget/forgive her affair (she’s the one who keeps harping on it).

    • brin says:

I won’t watch but hope they do a “Billy Bush” on her.

      • karmasabiatch! says:

Joy probably will, lol. She’s opinionated to begin with and now she has nothing to lose since she’s exiting the show. *snicker*

      • nomorerimes says:

They didn’t!!! Pretty much kissed her behind through the whole thing. Was hoping Whoopi would have bashed her some but she was quite quiet. Guess who else was on the show–Denise Richards. What a difference in personalities! Denise is a true lady, while I won’t say what we all know LR is. Denise was funny and calm and LR was constantly shaking her leg and waving around her hands.
We know that Denise could give LR major lessons on how to act with husband’s ex’s and know what boundaries are. But then LR wouldn’t listen to anyone anyway! LR did say that everything about her and Eddie was skewered!

Then LiaR sang the song A girl like you! I had to put it on closed caption so I could understand the words. Everyone is right–she sounds like she has a mouth full of marbles.

By the way I made sure I took my anti-nausea meds before watching her! Really recommend that for anyone who wants to watch her tell her “truth” which we know is all lies!

      • brin says:

Figures…she probably read them the riot act and threatened to sue after the AH interview.

      • littlestar says:

Lmao, I love that, brin! A “Billy Bush” haha.

      • karmasabiatch! says:

        @ nomorerimes-

That is a major bummer. I was so hoping that a few more people would make their disgust with her known. Just crossing my fingers this press blitz for Sh*tfire ends soon, that ugly Falcor-face screeching about “her truth” all over my tv is honestly more than I can take.

Thanks for the report, though. *runs off to find a Compazine*

      • claire says:

Brin, I can’t believe she had the nerve to say Brandi has been “talkative.” She is so fucking crazy. That is something so annoying about her. She creates chaos everywhere she goes, but only she is allowed to talk about it? And then denies talking about it!

  14. Micki says:

    She overuses the word “truth”

  15. FLOP says:

Her album has flopped. With 54% in it has sold 4,200
    http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/sales/salescht.cgi
Can someone post this on twitter lol

    • K-rock says:

I’d love to but she blocked me lol

    • Macey says:

What does the last column titled “power index” mean?
Does that represent the sales to date number or something else? I’m not surprised its so low but I’m curious where the number comes from, like if it includes digital sales or just actual CDs.

    • Rita says:

Walmart bought 3,000 copies at $3 per copy and LeAnn bought most of the other outstanding CD’s.

  16. Jayna says:

I caught those two, but I can’t watch anymore. They are all the same with her bullshit. Unless I missed part of the interview with Billy, I didn’t see anything mentioned about her album or promoting it at all. If so, I bet she wasn’t happy. She seemed irritated by a few of his questions, but the girl on the other show asked her about walking away and all that stuff, the OMG Insider one, and she was never irritated. On OMG this weekend, they really played a lot of her songs, so good promotion that way. Maybe now with a few interviews under her belt, she’s tired of it and now her fake Southern personality is showing cracks. LOL

She says the same thing in every interview and it’s bullshit. I died laughing when in one she said she would love some anonymity in her everyday life but it’s not possible. She’s the one calling the paps for her photo ops and she’s the one tweeting nonstop. LOL

I think she believes everything she says, though, and I do believe her obssession with Brandi is in her subconscious, that she isn’t aware of the extent of it, because most would be embarrassed to be so obssessed with all things Brandi. If I had a voice like LeAnn’s, I wouldn’t be reducing myself to high school twitter behavior and bikini gossip site reality star wannabe for four years. Very bizarre.

Like Brandi’s dog missing and she picks then to post a photo of her own dog. Then the next day her dog is bitten by a snake and she makes a big issue of t on her twitter. When a follower tells her her dog had been bitten by a bee or something and needed the shot, LeAnn says the same thing happened last month to the same dog. Funny how LeAnn couldn’t be bothered (if true) to mention that last month, but all of a sudden Brandi’s dog is missing and LeAnn is posting photos of the dog and then a big emergency happens to occur the next day, a rush to the hospital, blah, blah (I do feel bad for the doggy), but why no mention a month ago about this dog when it stung and had a reaction.

I mean, who all of a sudden posts a photo of their dog for no reason, when she rarely does and hasn’t in a long time, when Brandi’s dog is missing and a lot of hoopla about it?

By the way to CB, the album is great. I bought it, and it is a very solid album, probably her best. Although, she has her best songs for me on her last two original albums, the albums were uneven and so only listened to songs I liked. This was a better album from beginning to end. The song Spitfire is catchier than I thought when listening to t on the album, than compared to when I heard parts of it, although still not a song I care about. For CM, I usually am mostly a ballads girl, except her song from 2007 Family “Nothin’ Better To Do,” because I love the guitars.

    • lem says:

i do not believe for a second that anything at all happened to her dog. she just posted that so that she could draw attention to HER DOG and her drama. she did that b/c Brandi was getting attention due to her dog going missing. she just couldn’t handle that Brandi had doggy attention so she made that up. She’s seriously so delusional it’s gross.

    • MissMoody says:

I wasn’t aware of her dog-posting Twitter antics. If true. then that seals the deal for me. It’s not that I disbelieved stories about Leann’s SWF-ing but it seemed overblown and kind of too crazy to take seriously. But with Brandi’s missing dog in the news, if she really did post pictures of her own dog/dogmergency, yikes! Hope her dog feels better but maybe show some Twitter restraint at this time? Didn’t she learn anything at Tweehab?

      • lem says:

She posted at least one Vine that was her dog and then a few tweets regarding her dog being bit by a rattlesnake and the drama around that. She posted these maybe 2-3 days after Brandi’s dog went missing. She also retweeted Brandi’s tweet about the missing dog, but made sure to put the caveat in “4 the boys” to make sure we knew she wasn’t doing this because Brandi was upset. She’s just so gross.

    • ya says:

Ya completely agree with this…. really the recent NY Times feature on her explained her entire situation the best actually – the great music on one side and the obsession with spewing to the media – fueled by her insecurities – on the other.

I wonder how much longer this can go on – it’s like she needs people to provide rationalizations and justifications for her past actions which is why she keeps talking about them in the way she is. But it would be horrible for her to continue living like that long term.

  17. Dedrie says:

People who openly sing about their private lives and live in glass houses… dum-dee-dum-dum so shut up with the whiiiiiiiiiing..

  18. K-rock says:

I love seeing her putting weight on. I hope it doesn’t stop.

  19. Samigirl says:

I know digital sales are a big part of our life right now, but when I went to Walmart (shudder) last night, the little display with her albums was completely full. I laughed. =)

  20. K-rock says:

Had to turn it off at the 0:42 mark. My ears were getting very mad at me. Ugh.

  21. Louisa says:

She is a person who will NEVER see the error of her ways. She was a famous kid- they grow up never hearing “no, your wrong”. She is stunted in the high school years she missed, stealing peoples boyfriends, parading in bikinis etc. except to others, it’s not high school anymore- its real life and there are consequences. Counting down the days till her marriage fails and she has a breakdown.

    • claire says:

On top of that, she’s just not smart. She doesn’t seem to know the meaning of the few words she uses in her oft-repeated catch phrases.

She is a definitely a cautionary tale to parents of childhood stars: Make sure they get an education!

      • Christin says:

Some people are articulate and skilled enough to make their key points without randomly sprinkling identical (and obviously memorized) words and phrases in every interview. And some are not.

  22. Lee says:

She looks more and more like the Joker with each passing day.

  23. Lynn says:

I think she can be redick. Annoying beyond belief but I did buy 2 songs. What have I done and Borrowed. I liked them and someone has to put those kids through college, lets face it, it will be LeAnne.

    • HappyMom says:

Do you really think she’ll be in their lives in 10 years when they’re off to college? I’m guessing Eddie will have moved on by then.

    • Iyanla says:

Good @anon Leann is nothing but an interloper to the Cibrian-Glanville family. When she leaves, the children and the parents, Brandi/ Eddie, will have less chaos in their life. Hopefully Eddie picks a more secure woman next time he gets his boys a new stepmommy.

  24. qtpi says:

What about her classy and adorable F U ring they called her out on that she says is for herself. ???? And they displayed a still of it and everything.

  25. lisa says:

it was weird seeing the film clips of her with her original face, eek so tweaked so young!

the real winner here is the ex dean

  26. candigirl says:

Thanks for writing this Kaiser. One of the biggest (and most narcissistic) lies Leann tells about her stalking and this album is the “It’s at no one’s expense but my own” lie.
Like she never stalked and harassed a family, putting out tabloid photo after photo after video of her affair with Eddie and calling at all hours and following and taunting Brandi until the marriage broke up. Like that pain and humiliation of divorce wasn’t at Brandi and the boy’s expense? They had one of the the worst things in their lives happen and then it was blown up onto a national stage for Leann’s next album and publicity machine, at their (and Dean’s) expense.
The life changing pain of divorce, a broken family, being shuttled between two homes, enduring the pressure of warring parents and feeling like an afterthought to their parents is not at the boy’s expense? The four year’s long daily stalking and SWF-ing of Brandi while Leann threatens, bullies and mocks her with a paid staff of people is not at Brandi’s expense? The loss of privacy and childhood for two innocent boys whose thoughts and actions and likenesses are used by Leann for daily drama and publicity is at their expense. The entire album is written and sung at this family’s expense. They earned the right to every penny from it with a lifetime of pain.
“At no one’s expense but my own.” I bet that’s what Mommy and Daddy told Leann when they were making money off her childhood.

  27. K-rock says:

Not sure if I’m allowed to post outside links but did you guys check out her bra less white tank top on the Daily Mail? Seriously, attention hungry much??

    http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2339049/LeAnn-Rimes-goes-support-flimsy-white-vest-Good-Morning-America-appearance.html

    • judyjudy says:

It’s not nearly as attention-grabby as the no panty upskirt photo of Brandi I saw the other day. Why aren’t we talking about THAT? Vag-rejuv on full display.

    • ya says:

Wow she looks better there than she has in a long time.

      • nomorerimes says:

YOU think so? Personnally I thought her hair looked sort of grubby–like it needed washing. She certainly didn’t style it at all. Denise looked fantastic though! She at least made some effort to look good!

      • ya says:

Didn’t watch the view today, so can’t comment on that!

It’s funny because Denise Richards and Leann do have one thing in common – they both have faced a ton of criticism online on celeb blog comments, twitter etc…. Both have their groups of dedicated haters.

      • K-rock says:

@ya: Denise Richards??? Really? I had no idea she had the slew of haters that MeAnn has. As far as I’ve seen most people have given Denise major props for helping with the kids and refusing any extra child support. Perhaps I missed something? MeAnn on the other hand, well that speaks for itself.

      • ya says:

Recently, people have given Denise credit for helping out with her ex’s kids. Prior to that though, she faced a ton of vitriol online – it was crazy.

I guess it shows how quickly perceptions can shift.

  28. Cam S says:

At work and can’t scroll through the comments yet, but has anyone mentioned that Leann tweeted she has doggie drama? The stalker/copycat struck AGAIN! A day after Brandi’s dog napping, Leann tweets a vine video of her dog, then tweeted that she had “doggie drama” that her dog had gotten bitten by a snake. Eddie had to take her to the vet.

Now, I’m sorry the little thing was hurt (if it is indeed true), however, seeing as how Leann has a well deserved reputation for stalking Brandi- don’t you guys think maybe she just shouldn’t tweet that?
I mean, that is a little cray no? She just couldn’t keep that to herself??? Effing lunatic Leann has to one up Brandi ALWAYS, she just can’t allow Brandi to have any kind of spotlight good or bad. Goodness me, I’m sorry, but people need to intervene FOR REALZ, Leann Rimes is beyond disturbed.

    • SouthernGal says:

Yes someone mentioned she posted a video of her dog. Chic is truly disturbing. But that smugness will all implode along with her fake marriage, fake happy life and fake career. I see a 5150 on the horizon. And we all know, it will be Brandi’s fault her album flopped. LMAO!!!!

  29. Theresa says:

Well if people are easily offended by her lie-telling in her songs, their sensibilities will be safe. You cannot understand a word she sings in her performances.

Seriously, does she not have a clue that she does not articulate properly when she sings? This was not always the case, but all of a sudden she doesn’t seem to want to be understood when she sings.

Actually I love it. Another one of her oh-so-interesting foibles that make her so easy to mock.

    Keep ’em coming LR!

    • Deanne says:

People keep saying that she’s such a great singer, but personally, I think she could use a vocal coach. She sings really loudly, almost like she’s yelling out the songs and in the video for “What have I done” posted above, she isn’t enunciating well at all. It’s like she has marbles in the back of her throat or gum in her mouth or something, It’s got a gargling quality to it that I can’t quite describe. I guess she thinks she can make up for being impossible to understand with weird hand movements and facial expressions, I get why so many reviews of her concerts say she garbles the words and is hard to understand.

      • IzzyB says:

She used to be able to belt it out. Heard her sing Amazing Grace live once, she was good:
        http://youtu.be/wLEUtJsg6zQ

That new video…she needs to go back to her lessons. And find some material that isn’t about her affair.

  30. SouthernGal says:

Also, I laugh at SplashNews (aka GSM..same paps she hires for every staged photo op) being there when she walked out of her hotel room. So staged…white sheer tank top, no bra and it is raining. I also noticed she was carrying that Stella McCartney bag she SWF’d from Brandi. That FU ring she’s wearing matches Brandi’s FU necklace. This chic can’t be original to save her fugly grinch face.

    • K-rock says:

Sorry but what’s FU ring and FU necklace? That cloth tied around her finger? I was wondering what that was lol. I can’t keep up with her attire and antics anymore lol

  31. Mimi says:

What has she done….to her face? Good god it’s even more awful than before. I think that loser Eddie can now see what he’s done…and there’s nothing he can do about it now. Brandi and Dean are much better off

  32. Blondie says:

She’s on the view right now singing and she’s terrible.

  33. Rita says:

Yadda yadda yadda. Same BS. Same lies. Same narcissistic witch pushing her lousy music. No radio play what so ever.

Her album is “at no one’s expense but mine”? One thing she can be sure of and that is the album and none of her other junk will ever be at my expense.

  34. Baylor says:

Was there an interview on The View? Was it the usual b.s/ass-kissing? From what she has let on, on the Perez and Wendy Williams was/is just the usual b.s and ass-kissing. Hope I’m wrong, but doubt it. Someone needs to do to her what Dr. Phil did to Farrah Abraham.

  35. Baylor says:

    opps…

  36. Izzy says:

Yep, she’s so “truthy.” Perhaps The Onion should review her album…

  37. Itsa Reallyme says:

That top picture needs a caption.
How about “Who broke up the Cibrian-Glanville marriage?”

  38. Blondie says:

They interviewed her but I didn’t watch it. I turned it on when she was singing and she was terrible. After she was done they were telling her what a great voice she has. I don’t agree. She was terrible. They gave everyone in the audience a copy of her cd.

  39. Bapril says:

She is soooo full of shit! There is NO WAY the song “Spitfire” is not about Brandi Glanville. Listen to the lyrics, it’s blatantly obvious. I love that when LeAnn writes an entire album about the affair it’s her “art” or her speaking the, ahem, “truth”, but when Brandi writes a book about it then she’s a publicity whore. Hypocrite much, LeAnn?

    • apsutter says:

The best part about her whole reasoning is that we KNOW that Brandi’s book is truth because of legal reasons. They made her take stuff out of the book that she couldn’t substantiate because Leann would have sued their asses. Which means that every claim she made about Leann is something that she can prove to be true! Meanwhile Le has been lying nonstop and saying the same spiel over and over.

    • candigirl says:

I agree with both of you. Leann lies constantly and no one challenges her. Yet almost everything Brandi has said and written turns out to be true. That’s why Leann can’t defend herself against any “lies” because all of it is true. If anything, Leann’s album corroborates Brandi’s experience. Leann “Borrowed” Brandi’s: husband, children, looks, outfits, plastic surgeon, dentist, hair stylist, workout place, life style and twitter thoughts. She is trying desperately with her SWF-ing of Brandi to be “Just a Girl Like You.” Leann did do a terrible thing to Dean and Brandi with “What Have I Done?” and she constantly uses her tongue and texts to “Spitfire” at Brandi.

  40. apsutter says:

I think that my previous comment disappeared but I asked if we could possibly have a Spitfire CB listening party! Her album is hilarious and soooo spiteful and mean. I’ve love to go over it track by track with you gals.

  41. Nev says:

Just saw her perform on The View. The song Just Like You (?) is reallllllly good. She can sing!

  42. apsutter says:

Oh side note- She has definitely had something very strange done to her mouth/teeth/jaw/lip area!! Even when she was just talking or holding her face in a normal expression her lips curled upward in the corners. She really does look like Joker!!

Also, one funny thing about this whole press tour is that she sings a different song every performance. Usually artists just stick to the one or two singles but she is singing EVERYTHING! She’s definitely throwing everything against the wall and seeing what sticks. Me thinks she knows that Shitfire is tanking.

  43. BeachBelle says:

Billy Bush interview video. I’m not sure it’s all of it though. She definitely skirted around answers. Still no answer to what “lies.” So Brandi is still talking and she isn’t? Totally BS.

    http://watch.accesshollywood.com/video/leann-rimes-gets-personal-on-spitfire/2469357584001

    • Cirque28 says:

LeAnn’s reaction is priceless when they ask her if she’s seen as the bad one and does she get the short end of the stick especially in comparison to St. Jolie? She seems surprised and confused by that line of questioning! Yet we’ve heard “poor LeAnn who can’t catch a break” over and over and over, so IDK why she would have any response besides, “OMG YES. Thank you for noticing how unfair this is, I’m like the Rosa Parks of LovE.”

I guess at the moment she’s in “lucky LeAnn who is blissfully in love and so successful and look at MY beautiful family” mode.

This is so typical of people who have whatever is wrong with her (let’s call them narcissists for the sake of argument). They ping pong between boasting about themselves and whining about the cruel, unfair world that doesn’t understand them. It’s a very recognizable pattern.

  44. Leslie says:

LeAnn has the emotional IQ of a 13 yr old.

  45. BeachBelle says:

Looks like final total is in for number of Spitfire albums sold the first week: 10,496.

    http://www.hitsdailydouble.com/sales/salescht.cgi

    • Rita says:

That’s a thousand more than her last album sold the first week and it topped out at 27,000. She was screaming that it wasn’t meant to be popular….its “ART”. Another loser Walmart will have in the budget bin by the end of the month.

btw- Its more difficult to sell books than music because once a book is read, you don’t read it over and over as you normally listen to music. That being said, Brandi’s book sold well over 100,000 copies and held the number one position in sales for almost a month.

One last observation: I find it interesting that Popvortex and Amazon has Spitfire ranked higher than the rival albums that sold more copies but its no where to be found on iTunes chart.

      • Jayna says:

Only 1,000 more? Why did LeAnn tweet this?

it’s freaking fantastic! I’m 60% up from the last album and I’ve never had an album received so well. It’s been amazing!

When she says, “received so well,” I think she’s talking about critically reviewed so well.

But she says this album’s sales are up 60 percent from the last one. If the numbers are right that are being posted here on Spitfire’s first week, then maybe the numbers are off for first-week sales on L&G, and the sales were lower. Maybe she’s talking global sales, but I can’t believe LeAnn has much sales internationally.

      • Jayna says:

After seeing about three of her interviews promoting this album, it’s amazing that Leann at 21 was far more articulate and charming and poised at ten years ago, and she was so cute and had facial expressions to her face, which is usually what can make a cute-enough person really cute in person. Now her eyebrows are frozen and always overpencilled in and filler doesn’t give natural movement to her face, added with the botox, and then the oddness of her mouth (though her lips aren’t filled anymore I noticed). LeAnn used to have a softness to her and sweetness. If LeAnn still had that, which she had on TV all the way even in 2009 in interviews and handled herself the right way and still had her old face and hadn’t been ad nauseum in the tweet and gossip site with suspect behavior, she could pull off selling this album and still be in good favor with CM fans. Instead nobody believes her interview that she creates no drama and is the one being hounded. There’s far too much evidence otherwise for the past four years. Plus her voice speakingwise is different.

Her interviews now consist of her same old buzz words, her truth, blah, blah, tape over my mouth, speaking in circles. Here she is talking about not needing to take off her clothes to sell records. LOL LeAnn now lives in bikinis and alerts paps for photo-ops and this week she takes off her blazer to do her walk outside in an inappropriate shirt braless for morning TV without the blazer on and show her ta-tas and brags about no panties last week to sell her music.

LeAnn needs to look at this interview below and then listen to her lyrics about “I don’t know what I’ve become.” When she sings that song about “You’ve Ruined Me,” I always think, yeah, he ruined you for sure, but not in the way you think.

LeAnn in an interview ten years ago being far more articulate.

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UBtYlmGjeQE

LOL I love what someone wrote in the comments section to the youtube interview above.

“She’s lost everything including her sanity for a stupid idiot of a man.”

      • Rita says:

The official first week sales numbers for her last album were 9,000. The answer to your question as to why she is claiming an increase of 60% is simple….she’s a liar. She knows its not just another failure but a catastrophic one at that. After this failure, even LeAnn might realize its time for her to quit the music bizz. The production and promotion cost could very well be a loss of $300,000, for her personally.

      • claire says:

Leann’s never been good at math. I remember back in 2011 when she used to say they’d been together 3 or 4 years. Again, no concept of reality. Or addition.

  46. Jane says:

Leann wouldn’t know the truth if it slapped her in the face.

  47. Leslie says:

This was on the Naught but Nice Rob site:

“It felt like Leann Rimes did 900 interviews, and even cried to try and push her new CD, but people did NOT buy it.

When Billboard releases official sales tomorrow, LeAnn will fail to debut in the Top 30 and will sell an EMBARRASSING 10,000 copies. OUCH

… Is this her own fault?”

    • Jennifer12 says:

Yes, Leann, it is your own fault. Instead of quietly sitting back with Eddie, respecting Brandi and the kids, playing a supporting role in the family’s life that she helped blow apart, she fully expected Brandi to slink off after Leann thought she’d stepped on her. She expected to be applauded for finding true love under what she thought of as difficult circumstances, that she and Eddie would be madly in love superstars, and she would be allowed to take over as mother. When Brandi refused to roll over, Leann figured everyone would be on her side because SHE was the celebrity. Now she blames Brandi for everything because she has to be the victim; she neither sees her own culpability or refuses to. To watch Brandi have a best selling book and an offer for a second book and be on a hit show while Leann tried to sell 25,000 of the album she says is her best and tells her truth is exactly what she deserves. Now if someone besides Ilana Angel would ask the tough questions….

  48. candigirl says:

What I wonder is how much money will she spend on buying up copies of the album? Just like she does with Twitter followers, she will pay to look popular.

  49. Jennifer12 says:

I wish someone besides Billy Bush would call her on her crap; would love to see that girl from justsayjenn.net ask her the real questions. Why do you feel it’s okay to disrespect Brandi’s wishes for HER kids? Why are there so many photos of you wearing clothing and jewelry that Brandi does? Why do you say Brandi continues the drama when it’s all you talk about? Karma is bitch slapping Leann right now. AWESOME.

    • BeachBelle says:

Wendy Williams interview tomorrow could be a bit better. See short preview in link.

      http://www.wendyshow.com/2013/06/07/leann-rimes/#.UbfCt_m1F8E

      • Jennifer12 says:

The link didn’t work, but just from Leanns gloating tweets about how much she loves Wendy, I’m not putting too much faith in it. The person I want to see interview Leann is Ilana Angel.

      • BeachBelle says:

Sorry, Jennifer. Just tried link. It works for me.

One question Wendy asked LeAnn was how did she handle telling her husband she and Eddie were having an affair? You don’t see the answer just the expression on LeAnn’s face. Also, audience didn’t seem to like it so much when she said she told the truth.

      • Jennifer12 says:

Will try again; thanks. I don’t want to hear how Leann handled telling Dean; all this does is reiterate to Leann how hugely important (cough) her affair was. I want to hear questions about why she behaves so sexually toward Eddie with his sons around; why she uses those boys for photo ops; why she tweets their photos and videos endlessly; why she wears everything Brandi does; the truth about how she allowed her minions to stalk and harass Brandi and so on. No one gives a crap about her stupid affair anymore; she got exactly what she thought she deserved.

  50. Baylor says:

I’m already disappointed in Wendy Williams. Already ass-kissing and telling people LRs publicist Says No Questions barred. Really?! Then why the hell does everyone not ask any of the more interesting questions? Put her on the spot! Bet your not going to ask about the lawsuits or why she allows the kids to sing Borrowed or why she continously blames Brandi for everything.

    • lisa says:

whichever intern is responsible for researching the gossip on wendy does a terrible job. she reports stuff that is incomplete or just plain incorrect pretty frequently.

a lot of the interviewers that interview leann blame all this “hate” on the affair. they dont bring up the stuff w the kids which is the real ongoing problem.

  51. Vesper says:

I’m not sure how LeAnn singing about her experience re. the affair is any different than Brandi talking about her “truth” for the last four years. Don’t most musicians sing about their own personal experiences? As most of the music critics (not BB obsessed fans) have pointed out the album approaches the subject of infidelity from many different angles and doesn’t come across as a personal attack on anyone or a request for forgiveness.

The same goes for tweeting, LeAnn has the same right as anyone else to tweet about her life which includes her role as stepmom. I don’t see any twitter “obsession”, many “celebrities” tweet much more than LeAnn. Take Brandi as an example, the woman tweeted and did an interview on her lost dog BEFORE she told her own kids about it (according to her phone interview with TMZ). She has tantrums and uses twitter as a vehicle to argue or put down people all the while playing up her image as the victim. Brandi can write a book, give interviews and generally rehash the entire fiasco over and over again, yet LeAnn can’t tweet about her own day to day experiences, or give interviews about her own marital breakup. At least LeAnn does it with a lot more class without getting into intimate details.

It’s pretty simple, if LeAnn’s tweets/interviews annoy people so much, don’t read them.

    • Leslie says:

      Thanks for your input LeAnn.

    • Cam S says:

Oh no, the tweets and interviews don’t annoy us- they entertain us! Then Leann cries about privacy and being misunderstood! Ummm, she puts her whole life on display for everyone to see. Excuse the public if we have an opinion about what we see. Yes, that opinion is mostly negative.

    • Jennifer12 says:

Good Lord. In the land of the nearsighted, the blind man (or fan) really is king. Saying that black is white over and over will not make it so. There are about five billion examples of Leann’s famewhoring, fighting with people over Twitter, giving endless interviews about the affair, stalking and harassing Brandi and using two children who aren’t even hers as photo ops and props (kids who were inside as she stripped and made out with a friend for the paps- truly classy!). Take your own advice; if you dislike Brandi that much, then don’t read about her. Why come to a site that supports Brandi? Leann has a fansite.

  52. Kricket says:

    That last photo is hysterical.
Poor Eddie looks like he’s trying hard to remember something.

‘What am I suppose to say first? Oh yeah, I am the happiest now that I have ever been, of course I love my wife’s new album, I love her body just the way it is, so natural looking.
    I love you Brandi.
