On Sunday at the Globes, Ryan Seacrest got completely ignored by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie. He went down off a podium where he was interviewing celebrities and attempted to approach them on the red carpet, but they didn’t even give him a glance and continued to pose for photos. Seacrest had an awkward interview with the couple at the 2007 Globes, during which he got too personal with Angelina and Brad and kept pressing them about their home life and how they deal with fame. Re-watching it, it wasn’t too bad, but the issue was that Seacrest called Angelina cold the next day on his radio show and criticized her demeanor during that interview. Her mom was incredibly sick with cancer at the time and died less than two weeks later.
Now Seacrest has attempted to explain away the snub, saying it was his fault because he technically wasn’t supposed to go down off the podium and speak to the celebrities on the red carpet. Yeah right, that was it:
“I don’t think Angelina thinks I’m that important,” he said on his show Monday. “I don’t think I’m top of mind for Brad and Angelina. I honestly don’t believe they’d know who I was if I walked over there.”

When guest Perez Hilton told Seacrest that that’s impossible, as he hosts the No. 1 show American Idol, the TV personality shot back: “Yeah…but they live in France!”
Jolie and Pitt did stop for NBC’s Billy Bush, but Seacrest said, “there’s an NBC deal there. NBC hosted the Globes, and they have a deal to talk to the people who come to the Globes.
“Here’s what I realized when I went down there,” Seacrest went on. “I realized quickly that it’s against the rules to walk down onto the carpet from the platform.
“Then we went back down there and caught up with Tom Cruise, who I think is a terrific guy. I think he’s really cool,” he said. “By the way, have you seen his skin tone up close lately? You should!”

Seacrest was absolutely terrible at the Oscars last year. He kept admitting how nervous he was and asked attendees inappropriate questions, like asking a then-pregnant Jessica Alba if she planned to breast feed.
Seacrest lives in LA – there are probably classes he can take that can give him the skills to interview celebrities. Like public speaking, it’s something you can train for and learn methods to get through. E! could even hire him a seasoned coach. Maybe getting snubbed by Brangelina will be the lesson he needs to clean up his act and start to act professionally.

I read Brad & Angelina had already told E! they would not do an interview with Seacrest on Golden Globes night. If that’s true, he’s an asshole for pushing the issue. He’s annoying as all get out and has too many damn teeth. I don’t feel any particular way about Pitt and Jolie either though.
After watching the first interview, I can see why they won’t speak with him. He pushed for intimate details of their personal lives, not about the film, which is why they were there.
It is obvious to me that Ryan was hoping to get ‘the scoop’, when all he walked away with was ‘the kids ate cereal for breakfast’.
Seacrest is right about one thing; AJ/BP don’t know/give a crap who he is.

I think it was massively rude for them to completely ignore him. In another article on this website, someone said that Ryan didn’t know that Angelina’s mom was sick and didn’t know that that was why Angelina was being so distant.

Playing the tape, it looks as though Brad & Angelina didn’t hear Ryan Seacrest talking to them. They were posing for the cameras in front of them, and he was in back of them, off to the side, so they may not have seen him. But then Brad definitely glanced at him and they walked away.
Hard to tell what really happened. One thing is for sure: if they had wanted Seacrest to interview them, it would have happened.

And no matter how much you hate Angelina she is still a respected actress; she made it to the top of the box office and the awards ceremonies not only because of looks but because she has talent.
