Here’s Miley Cyrus not-so-enthusiastically greeting the paparazzi over the weekend in LA, and once again, Miley is showing her fondness for cutoff denim shorts with the pockets hanging low. I’ll never understand why she insists upon chopping her jeans into shorts but then leaves the pockets dangling. Why not cut the pockets away too?

Ah well, there’s no accounting for taste, which might also explain why Miley’s “We Can’t Stop” single is topping the UK iTunes chart thanks in huge part to her recent European publicity blitz. Miley is also currently starring as “The Girl” in Big Sean’s new “Fire” video. There’s an “explicit” warning with this vid, but that’s probably more for language (the occasional “F” word) than for Miley showing off her bra. She actually looks really beautiful and composed in this video:

I don’t mind this video at all — probably because Miley doesn’t stick her tongue out and try and act like a “rebel.” This is a much more palatable Miley, right? Now just because we haven’t talked about Liam Hemsworth (pictured here ducking into LAX on Sunday) in awhile, here’s a quick diversion for an interview he did with E! Online. Apparently, he was filming a steamy scene in Paranoia with Amber Heard, and someone tucked a surprise d-ldo into the bed:

Sounds like the set of Liam Hemsworth’s new corporate espionage thriller Paranoia was a real riot!

The film, featuring the Australian actor as a tech whiz looking to get ahead in life, features some steamy love scenes between him and costar Amber Heard–but it turns out that the crew wasn’t always interested in getting the shot down in one take.

“I get into the bed and they say ‘action,'” Hemsworth recalled one particularly hilarious (or traumatic, depending on who you ask) day on the set. “And then I turn over and I grab what I thought was her arm, and it was a giant d-ldo.”

“It was about that big, a black one,” he added, holding his hands nearly 2 feet apart. “And I pulled it out, and everyone was in on it…except me, yeah.”

Meanwhile, Hemsworth also dished about being an uncle (“It’s so odd to me, still, that my brothers have kids”) and about wanting kids of his own one day (“One day, but it’s not on my to-do list right now”), and he told us a hilarious anecdote about trying to crank out his first tweet when he finally joined Twitter not too long ago.

“I sat there for about 20 minutes and was like, ‘God, what am I going to write? Why would people care what I write?'” he recalled.

And “all these comments say that I suck at tweeting. I don’t even know how you could be bad at tweeting!”

Amber Heard pops in at the end of the interview and talks about her “private” ways (she’s such an artist, you know). But isn’t it interesting how Liam has absolutely no interest in Twitter while Miley practically lives on the social media site?
