Following a high profile DUI incident on Friday, Lamar Odom has checked into an undisclosed facility for treatment of drug and alcohol abuse. TMZ reported a couple of days ago that Lamar’s wife, Khloe Kardashian, was urging him to go to rehab to fight his demons.
Khloe seems to be willing to stick by Lamar despite his drug problem and the fact that two women have gone public claiming to have had affairs with him. It seems like Khloe and Lamar’s communication problems go beyond addiction, lying and cheating, however. Lamar didn’t even let Khloe know that the had been arrested for DUI. Khloe read about her husband’s arrest online like everyone else. What’s more is that while Lamar may have been following Khloe’s lead by checking into rehab, he didn’t tell her about that either and she doesn’t even know where he is.
Khloe Kardashian is totally unaware her estranged husband Lamar Odom entered a rehab facility — despite the fact she lead the charge for him to get help in the first place … TMZ has learned.
Sources close to the couple tell us Khloe never got so much as a heads-up about Lamar’s plans, and was completely blindsided by the report he’s checked in for treatment.
We’re told one big reason for that is Khloe and Lamar have not been talking at all since she issued an ultimatum last weekend — get help or our marriage is over — intending to force his hand on the issue of rehab.
As we previously reported … Lamar started a treatment program last summer in San Diego, but bailed after only 3 weeks.
One source says although Khloe’s been kept outside the loop this time — she does hope wherever Lamar is … he’s actually getting professional help.
Lamar clearly wants out of his marriage, and I just feel so bad for Khloe. She thinks she’s doing the right thing by trying to get him help and fighting for her relationship. Lamar isn’t even giving her the courtesy of a text message. Sometimes there’s nothing you can do when a spouse has checked out and it’s best to move on. Khloe hasn’t been active on social media in a couple of days, so maybe she’s working on picking up the pieces. It’s possible she’s preparing for a divorce. A report in the NY Daily News last week claimed that Kris Jenner met with divorce lawyer Laura Wasser on Khloe’s behalf. That doesn’t mean that Khloe is ready to file for divorce, just that her mother wants her to.
Incidentally, In Touch [via Radar] has a report claiming that Lamar could, if he were so inclined, write a tell all book about the Kardashians for revenge. The story sounds fake and includes ridiculous quotes like “Lamar could also expose what Kim’s done for money, who she’s slept with and the awful things she’s said about Kanye West, like how he smells bad in bed and how she’s not attracted to him.” Give me a break. We all know what Kim has done for money. Kim isn’t dishing to Lamar that Kanye smells and she’s not attracted to him.
A more believable quote from In Touch’s source involves Lamar wanting revenge on the Kardashians for leaking the stories of his drug problems. “He blames Khloe’s family for all the recent public drama. He believes Kris Jenner and the Kardashians planted all the bad stories about him to make him look like a monster.” That I can buy, but Lamar isn’t going to write a tell all, this is just creative fiction.

Funny how these morons who could easily afford a driver/limo won’t even consider rehab ’till they get a DUI, then they run to get themselves admitted the next day! And never for themselves, but for the judge!!!
If this is true and Khloe doesn’t know where he is, + all the other women issues, a divorce surely is forthcoming.
Hate to wish bad things even on bad people, but this empire is crumbling daily. And the fact that momster’s show is all but over is confirmation. Couldn’t happen to a more deserving person. We reap what we sew! Good riddance!
Lamar Odom has a substance abuse problem and he needs help. No one is at fault for his problems but him. If he had went to rehab when his problems resurface, we would not be talking about this.

Also, take heed your own advice. Compassion is always the better choice. A marriage is crumbling, a father and husband is facing demons of addiction, and a family of young women have been taught that their only worth is between their legs and between the pages of Life & Style. There’s plenty of room for pity and compassion without supporting their lifestyle.

Not surprised that Lamar hasn’t been communicating with Khloe or told her about going to rehab. He knows his career is definitely over now because all his business has been made public by Khloe and her family. I don’t feel sorry for her.
He’s doing what he needs to do, especially for himself and his kids. I hope it’s successful.
I’m not surprised either. They would have asked him to wait to enter so that they could get their film crew there for the send-off. I imagine that he wanted to cut Kris off from finding an angle to make money from this. (You know she’s dying to do an intervention episode, and had her crappy show stayed on the air, this would definitely be a topic — How My Family Was Impacted by Drug Addiction).

I totally understand what you are saying. I´m sure that PMK leaked his drug issues to TMZ to gather sympathy for Khloe. And I would cut her and her family off, too. But at the end of the day he is the one who took the drugs and put his career in jeopardy.
He should just concentrate on getting sober, without the noise around him
If the family leaked all this info about him to the public, I do not blame him for cutting ties. After the family opened their mouth about a very personal matter that effects his life and career Khloe lost any kind of spoucal respect. Khloe and her mother went to tell the world his secret and he has every right to be completely done with them. There is no way I can think that Khloe actually loves Lamar when she or her mom has done what they have done. She knows her mother and what she is capable of, so why even open your mouth to her.
He needs to cut ties with this family and work on his issues and salvage what may be left of his career. Hopefully he has someone to support him and look after his interests and not their own. I used to watch their show and felt bad for Lamar because it seemed that everyone was out for what they could get from him.

I really hope he gets help and comes to his senses. Addiction is a terrible thing to go through and affects the family supporting that person even more so. I would not wish this on anyone. I can’t believe Khloe kept this a secret for such a long time. I admire her for trying to protect her husband. I hope they can both overcome this because I really liked them together.

Yes well only Kourtney made it through high school and then went on to college. The other two Karda$hians never went past 9th grade I believe and now Kris is making sure the Jenner girls don’t either. And I don’t buy into the “home schooled” either. What are they being schooled on at home other than sex, drugs and alcohol? I don’t even know what to feel for Khloe anymore. It’s admirable and heartbreaking that she continues to stand by Lamar, despite what he’s done. I think it’s very obvious now that Lamar wants out. He hasn’t bothered to communicate with his wife about important things such as getting a DUI and checking into rehab, and for Khloe to find out about all of this through TMZ is such a low blow, especially after two women came forward and detailed their affairs with Lamar to the public. I hope she wakes up and realizes that this marriage is effectively over. She might be a Kardashian, but she is better than this.
She’s a Kardashian, and these people always have an angle or motive for what they do. I seriously do not think that she stayed with him for the love. Her mom was probably worried about what it would look like to have 2 divorces so close together, or Khloe didn’t want to publicly admit that you shouldn’t marry someone you don’t know.
She has all the resources in the world to deal with her problems and his, and she decided instead to keep up the public image and lie, lie, lie.

Amory – that’s why i feel too much sympathy for her. Maybe a little bit, but not a lot. She has let Lamar publicly humiliate her time and time again and it’s past the point of me feeling sorry for her. She made the decision to stay with him and i just can’t respect that anymore. As far as “brand”, i don’t understand how her sticking by his side is helping the Kardashian image. Because lots of people now know that Lamar has no respect for his wife, continues to cheat on her and doesn’t even communicate with her about a decision as important as going to rehab. If he has been battling substance abuse for a while now, it makes it even more odd that he’s cutting her out of this decision. But maybe he’s just tired of dancing along to the Kardashian tune. Who really knows? But from what i’ve read and seen, no one comes out “on top” here.

I completely agree. I don’t feel bad for Khloe one bit. These people are all about smoke and mirrors. They took Lamar’s “problems” and used them to take the focus away from his cheating. You don’t shame an addict into recovery (although the jury is still out for me on this whole addiction mess).
Checking into rehab is a common way to get out of or lessen DUI charges.
As for contacting Khloe, if she has any sense she’s quite happy with that development.
I can somewhat understand Khloe continuing to fight for her marriage if she thinks the issues stem from his drug and/or alcohol problem. When you’re an addict, you aren’t yourself and the addiction is in control. Perhaps that’s what Khloe sees and she’s trying to stand by him. That’s the “for better or worse” part of the vows. At least she’s trying to honor that part.
SIDE NOTE: This has most definitely scared away Kourtney from marriage. She was still considering it on Scott’s behalf and now she’s probably like “HELL NO!” LOL!
They destroyed Lamar’s reputation and career. I’d say this has probably done more to scare Scott away from marriage.

Lamar raced into marriage with someone he didn’t know very well and now seems to want his freedom. Khloe seems to have a different view of marriage than he does, with him being the love of her life and wanting a baby. I truly think she should move ahead with divorce if he’s avoiding her like this and let him know she won’t wait around. What a revolting way to treat your wife.

Good for Lamar, I wish him luck because he will need it. It seems to me that his life was in a bad place when he met K-hoey and quickly went downhill from there. And I don’t think all the trips in the world or being on television as a KrapTrashian will ever make up for his lost son and now his lost career. He has a ton to think about in Rehab besides his addiction. I hope someone who is not of the KrapTrashian empire is waiting to help him through all of this when gets out. Stay strong Lamar.
Not sure how much of this I believe. Everything is from sources. There have been too many conflicting stories. I don’t feel sorry for Khloe in the aspect that she allowed all of this to go public. I don’t believe Lamar put this out there as the stories all put out the vibe “poor Khloe, she’s such a saint”. If he is in rehab, good luck to Lamar (again “sources” says he is, not him or his rep). I honestly believe he is keeping as quiet as possible not getting into the he said/she said thing and working on getting a divorce. I think Khloe also knows the marriage is over. Don’t believe Shapiro is repping him in the DUI as this really is a simple DUI case and he probably has his own lawyers that can handle it.

Because he tested positive for drugs and was suspended by NBA.Im sick of people acting like this guy didnt use drugs or cheat or get arrested until he hooked up with the EVIL Kardashians.He was a screw up in college .Google it.Until he starts taking responsibility for his actions he will never get better.I know about his mom dying, his dad’ s addiction, his son dying, etc. But it is time for him to get help for his own well being and for his kids Destiny and Lamar Jr.
I am currently dealing with a family member on drugs and with other family members enabling, making excuses for her .So I guess I am projecting my frustration.Ill pray for him.

This is definitely not how I pictured this marriage imploding, but then again this is the kind of person that marries a Kardashian. And judging by his actions he’s going to rehab as a last ditch attempt to save his career, which in certain ways feels worse to me because it’s like he’s just trying to slap a bandaid on top of a gaping wound like he’s magically making everything all better.

As an NBA fan this is sad what has happened to Lamar. I remember when he was first on the Clippers it was common knowledge he was addicted to candy and would binge like crazy in the middle of the night. I remember asking my husband. You think he’s compensating for something??

I don’t feel bad for khloe at all. You date, get engaged and marry someone in a month you can’t be too surprised when it falls apart. Lamar needs to divorce her and stay far away from the kardashian’s.
I am familiar with this kind of situation. Someone going off the rails, their loved one(s) trying to get them help and be supportive, the person finally getting help but then shunning the loved one(s)… it comes from a combination of shame, guilt, anger, depression, hopelessness, and the loved one(s) suddenly being a trigger to all those feelings.
I think he doesn’t want to be in touch with Khloe for many reasons– one of them being that, to him, she represents the Kardashian clan… and look how they railroaded him in the media. I’m not at all excusing any of what Lamar did, I’m just trying to put myself in his shoes for why he’d shut Khloe out.
I feel sorry for Khloe even if she is a Kardashian and even tho she didn’t really know Lamar before she married him. She clearly wants someone she can’t have and she needs to recognize that and realise there will be others.
