Kylie Jenner is only 16 years old, so please keep that in mind. She does seem to enjoy the spotlight and isn’t as shy as her 17-year-old sister, Kendall. I watched my first full episode of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” over the weekend from the treadmill (I had little choice in the matter because the USA network was playing one of those horrendous Indiana Jones marathons). This was the episode where Khloe was telling her younger sisters all about tampons. Kendall looked completely mortified while Kylie was like, “Whatever. Can I go to the mall now?”
Indeed, these are photos of Kylie at her local shopping mall (Neiman Marcus, to be specific) over Labor Day weekend. This black dress and boot combo is pretty cute, right? Kylie also shows no signs of slowing down even though she crashed her very first car (a $125,000 Mercedes SUV) last week less than a month after she received her driver’s license. Ahh, milestones.
Now Kylie is showing off her new grill on Instagram. Yep, she’s following in the footsteps of Rihanna, Miley Cyrus, Madonna, and Katy Perry. What do you think?

Blah, I’m not going to dump on a 16 year old because I remember some of my own ridiculous fashion when I was her age. That said, I really do dislike grills and I hope that the fad will go away soon.

Griping about and denouncing current fashion trends and fads of the (mostly) young generation makes one sound like an old person stuck in the past. I had hoped I would never become one of those.

How is this girl considered a model??? Model trash perhaps. Not to sound too harsh, but her legs and arms look uber-thick and her clothing choices spread her out like thick peanut butter into one thick cottony, horizontal blob topped off by her wide-set face. There’s no way in hades this girl would have gone beyond a JC Penny catalog shoot for juniors had she not had pimp-mama Kris selling her hard. Yeah, I’m all for body acceptance, but I don’t accept that this girl has the goods to model clothing.

Grillz are trashy and no one should have them. Not a 16 year old nor a 50 year old or anyone in between. I do think that of Kris Jenner’s daughters the Jenner girls are and will be the prettiest of them all but I am hoping they take different paths than the Kardashians and try doing something of worth with their lives and their money other than looking into a mirror. But I don’t hold out much hope for that to happen with the role models these girls have. I am afraid it will be pretty much of the same old thing.

As a 29 year old woman, I have to say I LOVE everything about her first outfit – black croptop, black skirt, and amazing purse – and if I could rock that look right now I TOTALLY would.
She’s just a kid, maybe not the prettiest Jenner/Kardashian, but she’s harmless and is definitely not worthy of all the vitriol in this thread from grown adults.

The trend nowadays is to pair up clashing patterns, denim on denim/floral on floral, and combining various trends in one outfit. Some people can carry it, some can’t.
I follow Asian fashion (like Korean and Chinese) and most Korean popstars have the same style: edgy and sleek, but comfortable. I’ve seen one girl pair a hot pink floral miniskirt with black doc Martens and she looked cool.
Kylie looks effortlessly chic in that outfit.
Not everything must be paired with leather boots or stilettos.
