    Apple is stunning

  2. Trek Girl says:

It isn’t safe. She’s not wrong for stating a fact.

    • megs283 says:

The article is blocked at work (ironically), but I completely agree…kids shouldn’t surf unsupervised!

      • pantalones en fuego says:

I hate the Goopster and everything for which she stands but I have to agree with this particular nugget of wisdom. There are a lot of creeps out there and kids shouldn’t be unsupervised on the internet.

    • Esmom says:

ITA. It is such a cesspool and sadly there’s so much that kids can innocently stumble into.

  3. bettyrose says:

Aaron Paul and puppies! That’s why the Internet exists.

  4. Itwillrain says:

Apple has very wide set eyes…similar to Kate Moss.

  5. poppy says:

“There are things on the Internet that are really upsetting and even as a grownup that are too upsetting for me.”
so says the crotch flashing, 70’s bushed einstein with a stripper’s butt.

    • Brown says:

To be fair, out of all the things on the internet, Goop’s bush is absolutely tame. Just Google the “Deep Web.” Don’t go there. Just read about it.

      • briargal says:

So as long as it is “tame”, it’s okay to show off practically all your body on the red carpet! She is a hyppcrit!

      • V4Real says:

She’s only saying it’s not safe because she don’t want her daughter reading all the mean things that are said about her. She has a right to worry.

      • poppy says:

while ita with you (re tameness), i was trying to be funny while beating my favorite dead horse.

perhaps all of this “i keep apple safe” is in reaction to her questionable scooter skills?

        v4real, lol. truth.

      • Lucybelle says:

        @Brown
Oh my. I’ve spent the better part of the last day reading about the deep web. Terrifying stuff indeed.

  6. Itwillrain says:

That’s right, Trek Girl. As the song goes, “The Internet is for Pr0n.”

  7. atorontogal says:

That sheer panel dress is horrific. Her daughter is a real cutie, looks much like her dad….TG!

  8. Samtha says:

That’s pretty much the same thing we tell our kids–the internet isn’t a big playground with no repercussions or dangers. There are people there who won’t have your best interests in mind, and you’ll see things and read things that may trouble you. Talk to us about it.

Can’t fault her for that. Especially since she’s famous–I’m sure her daughter could read a lot of hurtful things about her parents or even herself if she looked in the wrong places. I can’t fault Paltrow for that.

  9. Guest says:

She is correct. The intent was to create a space where democracy can flourish. LOL

  10. Rae says:

I was just commenting on the last Goop thread on how it seems every story is just trying to find a reason to latch on to the ‘Goop is a snob’ train. This is priceless.

How is a mother telling her daughter the truth about the internet (which can be an extremely dodgy place) her saying the internet is full of peasants (and thus making it out again she is just being a snob)?

  11. mimi says:

Gwyneth and Chris have beautiful children. Apple looks so much like her mother.

  12. Elisabeth says:

says the woman who went on TV and told everyone to give blow jobs to get their way with a man

    alrighty then

    • Suze says:

She did no such thing. She said it to her girlfriends over a tipsy night and a friend talked. Tame the Goop hate for half a sec.

      • poppy says:

gwynsufferable’s BJ comment was definitely from the same late night talk tv show where she called her grandmother a ‘c u next tuesday’ (different episodes).
it didn’t have to be discussed but was -unless you believe she has no control over what is discussed when she appears or gives interviews. they share the same publicist.
goop is forever laying it on thick how she’s got a filthy mouth and mind, or the opposite, depending on her perceived audience.

elisabeth’s comment was hardly inaccurate or laden with hate.
really, this is celebitchy! *clutches pearls*

  13. skyler1 says:

Enough of this pretentious bitch, please.

  14. Ellen says:

I can’t fault Paltrow for that. My daughter googled Emma Watson once and found some absolutely awful photoshopped pr0n. She was in tears because she thought SHE had done something wrong. (Which actually she had because we had/have rules about searching with ad adult in the room. But what 10yo expects to find pr0n while looking for a Harry Potter actor? The punishment did NOT fit the crime.)

Add in all the awful stuff that Apple would read if she googled her own family (whether or not they “deserve” it), and no wonder Paltrow wants her to be wary.

    • Andrea says:

Let me tell you a story of what happened when i was 12ish. I used to think every bands website was their name dot com. Because every boyband’s website was! Well I heard this remake of blue monday on the radio and i loved it! Well…you can guess what happened next! I was in sooo much troble and my mom didnt really believe me either.

  15. teehee says:

I like the way she says it—- its a very clever thing to admit this to the child. Ill have to remember that if I am ever a mom and am struggling for the words to say to my kid.

  16. Maria says:

i sooooo hope Aaron Paul will survive the B-Word. it was funny in the beginning and this skit was better than just yelling it but that man is cool and can act so lets stop with reducing him to catchphrase.

    • Monkey Towz says:

@ Maria, I agree. I could listen to “Jesse” call me “yo bitch” all day, but his work on B.B. is much better than that. He’s an amazing actor & I hope he continues to be in interesting projects. Damn I’m going to miss that show. Aaron Paul & puppies?! Breaking my heart.

  17. TherapyCranes says:

I’m probably going to get yelled at for this but I don’t think Apple is beautiful in the least. Hopefully she will grow into her face as she matures.

As for the internet surfing I have to agree with Goop. I’ve been surfing the internet for 17ish years and I’d have to say that it’s really not for a child to go on unsupervised.

    • skyler1 says:

No, I think Apple is rather homely really. She’ll probably grow into her looks later, hopefully better than the Moore/Willis girls did.

    • FingerBinger says:

I agree. I think Apple is kind of funny looking and her eyes are wonky.Whether she grows into her looks or not, she’s a blonde WASP with rich and famous parents. I think she’ll be OK.

      • RdyfrmycloseupmrDvlle says:

She’s not a WASP actually…they are all Jewish except for Blythe Danner…whom I THINK converted when she married but am not sure on that. Gwyneth is jewish and so is Chris Martin……

    • Side-Eye says:

Yes! Her eyes are really odd.

  18. lulu says:

    That kid looks derp

  19. Claudia says:

She’s absolutely right. Kids listen to music on the radio, and then want to youtube the music videos when they get home. A lot of what’s in music videos these days is really inappropriate for children, and that’s just music videos. The internet has a lot of dark corners, and I really commend the parents who insist on supervising their children’s internet use.

That being said, the headline made me crack up– love the “peasant” digs.

  20. IceQueen says:

She’s afraid that Apple one day will see that her mom almost killed her and herself while riding a Vespa.

    • Amelia says:

You took the comment right out of my mouth.

And does Goopy have zero experience with kids? The questions her daughter asks are not a sign of super-intelligence; my son asked those same questions at 6. (Of course, now that I think of it, he did get nearly perfect ACT and SAT scores.)

Of course the Internet has some horrible stuff on it. It is also a fabulous instrument of learning, when used and supervised correctly. That’s why school districts without it are clamoring for it.

I just laugh that she’s concerned about Internet safety after she damn near became a grease spot, with her daughter, on the street because of her unsafe scooter driving.

    • Jessica says:

      Yep!

  21. Thiajoka says:

So, maybe Goopy should shut down her internet business and stop taking her vulnerable kids to JayZ concerts while they bop around on stage to “99 Problems.” Just saying, Gwen, peasant to blueblood.

  22. Jane says:

The internet IS dangerous for children. So is mom when she doesn’t check for oncoming traffic and just takes off in front of an oncoming school bus with her child on the back of her scooter.

  23. ncboudicca says:

Little Ava Renner is a cutie. I’m a sucker for barefoot babies.

  24. Dommy Dearest says:

When did Beyonce and Gwyneth start hanging out? Not safe, yes. Peasants, no. She’s just mad that most everyone dislikes her.

How she was cast as Pepper Potts I’ll never know.

    • springingforward says:

I think RDJ got her the job. Too bad too, because she seriously detracts from the suspending disbelief necessary.
Her Pepper Potts is shrill and nagging.

  25. lucy2 says:

I forgot the Emmys were this weekend. I’m so bummed about the Justified and Parks & Rec snubs, but I’ll watch to see the Breaking Bad crew pick up more well deserved trophies.

I don’t like Goop, but she’s not wrong in this.

  26. Coco2 says:

The most scary here is Paltrow, not internet!

  27. Caz says:

Seeing bad photos of Gwyneth is almost as funny as those of baby Bieber being put in his car seat. Thanks Kaiser!!

    Celebitchy rocks.

  28. Bird says:

    Is this Vanity Fair’s revenge?

  29. Anna says:

“She has such an incredible brain so she’ll ask me anything from what happens when our universe stops—what’s next? She asks me about why bad things happen, if there’s a devil? Is God real or is it an energy? “She’s super-smart…”

ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ I’m really trying to not project my dislike for gwyneth into her child

    • winnei says:

      I know.

Every interview I struggle to remind myself that Apple is the big victim in all of this. Imagine having to be a rare and precious orchid with never-before-seen intellectual and musical powers or your mother will quietly die inside.

  30. Sara says:

    It’s not safe!

  31. Sara says:

Good to see Gwyneth getting some sun! The sun can be healthy in small amounts and gives you adequate Vitamin D.

  32. Solien Frota says:

    heloooo

  33. Dorothy says:

Oh to hell with her…did you guys see latest pics of Catherine Zeta Jones? Looked so much stronger than few weeks ago. Now, SHE is a star – plus kind and caring – the total Anti Gwyneth and obviously so much more beautiful. Wish HER the best, and just boycott Paltrow and let sponsors, movie production companies, etc. know (takes a few minutes, lots of folks I know are doing it and less disgusting than hearing her latest desperate and horrible for kids antics) on Gwynnie. So I’m not even wasting any more time on Paltrow anymore…she is beyond all belief at this point…total absolute sicko…and some if not all coming out soon anyway. So Catherine you get on with it – Micheal or not- and be well, and Gwyneth just please please please go promptly to hell 🙂

  34. Porly says:

    Ugly woman.
