Alex Rodriguez loved to hire multiple hookers, several times a week: gross?

wenn20572500

This isn’t surprising if you have a passing interest in sports gossip or celebrity gossip. I don’t follow sports whatsoever, but even I know Alex Rodriguez has issues regarding ladies and sex. Plus, I know he’s a narcissist who has a photo of himself as a centaur over his bed. So, apparently A-Rod’s sex issues include “lots of hookers.” He’s not even hiring them one at a time either. Multiple hookers several times a week? Sure.

Just call him a-john. An upcoming book reports that not only did Alex Rodriguez enjoy the services of prostitutes — he frequently turned the double play by hiring them in pairs.

The tattered reputation of the Yankee slugger will get shredded some more in “House of Outrageous Fortune: Fifteen Central Park West, The World’s Most Powerful Address,” a book by “740 Park” author Michael Gross due in time for spring training.

A-Rod rented a $30,000-a-month apartment in the pricey limestone tower in 2010, becoming neighbors with Sting, Denzel Washington and Bob Costas, plus Wall Street titans Lloyd Blankfein, Sandy Weill and Daniel Loeb.

A building worker told Gross, “He got hookers all the time. Usually two at a time, two times a week. One time he had two go up, they came down and left, and 10 minutes later, Cameron Diaz walks in.”

“Fifteen [Central Park West] became A-Rod’s home plate,” Gross writes, where the $275 million man scored with Madonna and Kate Hudson, as well as Diaz. “But apparently they weren’t enough for A-Rod.”

Though a broker called Rodriguez “the best tenant” in the book, the 15CPW staff didn’t agree.

“He was a douche, an unfriendly narcissist,” another building worker said. “I hate the guy. He thought he was God.”

A-Rod’s spokesman, Ron Berkowitz, says, “This is a further effort to fabricate scandal around Alex. The allegations concerning prostitutes are categorically false.”

“House” will be published March 11, 2014, by Atria/Simon & Schuster.

You know what I hate? I hate that the hookers are denigrated and pitied as “sex workers” while there’s a “boys will be boys” mentality when it comes to Alex (and any john). While this story is embarrassing for all involved, there seems to be an element of “Alex is super-rich, listen to this story of how awesome he is for having crazy hooker threesomes in his luxury apartment all the time.” Blah. I wouldn’t touch his ‘roid dong for all the money in the world.

He’s so gross. Can’t stand the sight of him. And yet, I clicked. I hate my self a little.

    • NYC_girl says:

Me too. He was incredibly rude to my mother several years ago in Las Vegas. She walked up to him in the Bellagio casino; he was standing there with a few people not involved in a game. She said “excuse me” to his then-wife and asked him for an autograph and he wouldn’t look at her; he made a completely illegible scribble on a napkin and kind of shoved it in her face. She was so appalled. I could understand if she was some young guy bothering him at dinner but she was trying to be respectful. She put a Sicilian hex on him as she walked away. ;0

      • Scarlet Vixen says:

THAT’S why his play has gone downhill and the MLB is trying to get rid of him! Those Sicilian hexes are powerful! 🙂 🙂

      • NYC_girl says:

@Scarlet – I believe it! Although, after a few years she felt bad because they hadn’t won a WS in so long, so she “removed” the hex and they won that year, which was 2009.

  2. blue marie says:

A-Rod is gross for so many reasons, this doesn’t shock me even a little.

I’m sure his “camp” will throw a few other players under the bus as well.

    • mia girl says:

A few years back, I sat at a table next to him at lunch. His whole energy is gross enough but to have to see him eat… he had no table manners, spoke with food in his mouth and scooped up his meal like a pig. The guy is gross.

      • phillykatt says:

I’m not surprised. I would think that most pro athletes are jerks. I remember when I was married we saw Allen Iverson at a restaurant. My husband was a big basketball fan and wanted to ask for his autograph. He sat there glaring at everyone. I can understand being rude if people are mobbing you, but no one was bothering him. Idiot.

      • blackfly says:

My friend waited on A-Rod at a restaurant in Boston and most of his meal was comped because he’s famous, and he still tipped terribly on the little that was left on his check. C’mon, Boston, don’t cater to Yankees!

    • T.C. says:

I don’t think his reputation will be hurt by this. Guys who watch baseball will be impressed by his stamina to have two women at the same time twice a week.

  3. YoungHeartOldSoulNewView says:

Couldn’t help but chuckle that the author’s last name was Gross…writing about gross behavior.

A.Rod IS gross, but this is not surprising. Men’s pro sports leagues seem like one big enabling fraternity with the “boys will be boys” mentality. Not all male athletes are like that of course, but the environment sure doesn’t condemn or shame that behavior.

  4. bammer says:

I think its gross and wouldn’t want to be involved with a man like this. However, consenting adults can do whatever they want. It’s his money and their bodies.

  5. MonicaQ says:

Not surprised. This IS A-Rod we’re talking about. Now if we were talking about football’s A-Rod, THEN I’d be shocked.

  6. tifzlan says:

What the hell is that centaur picture…..

    • gogoGorilla says:

      It made me LOL!!

    • TG says:

As soon as I heard about this story I figured the centaur must reside there. I can’t think of A-Rod without laughing at him. I just love it when someone is tacky and has no clue. Same goes for Kim Kartrashian.

  7. doofus says:

A-Roid will ALWAYS be gross, for so many reasons.

not only is he a narcissistic jerk who cheats on every woman he’s ever been with, he’s a cheater while playing the game and while “training” for the game.

Even my Yankee-fan friends cannot stand this a-hole.

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

Yeah NOW they can’t stand him.

The thing is that everyone outside of NYC knew the guy was a total ahole before the Yanks got him but the fanbase was so excited that I guess they forgot.
I’m glad they know what’s up now— better late than never.

      • MonicaQ says:

My husband who’s from Albany, NY says this on the Yankees: “I hope they lose every game…except when they play the Red Sox. I’m still a New Yorker. But I hate them and their payroll. Mariano is the only good one.”

Which is funny because he absolutely has only a passing interest in baseball. I’ve learned marrying into this family (I’m from FL) that NY/Boston dislike runs deeeeeeep, even if the team’s stars are colossal asses. It’s like Florida/Florida State all the time.

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

Yeah but the rivalry isn’t at all what it was back in the day. Once we won the ’04 WS and obtained good management, new ownership and a bloated payroll comparable to the Yanks, it just wasn’t as fun to hate them.

I think for the most part, Yankees fans never GAF about the Sox until we started winning. We weren’t a team they thought about because we sucked-we weren’t even competition.

Times have changed but of course, it’s still great to see the Yanks lose and it always will be for Sox fans 😉

      • Rhiannionkk says:

Um,no. Lifelong Yankee fan here. Hated before we got him. Hated that we got him. Hate him still. He is a classless narcissistic man ho. Who cheats. At everything.

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

Oh I’m sure there are plenty of smart Yankees fans like you. I just meant it was similar to when the Sox got Manny Ramirez-there was a lot of fanfare and excitement that each player would be great for the team.

Just for the record, I understand that mentality completely–you want your team to win. But I think you and people like myself would rather the team be a little less successful and not have to deal with the outrageous egos of some of these players.

      • doofus says:

“Yeah NOW they can’t stand him.”

no, they hated him from the get go and never wanted him in the first place.

though even with his unsportsmanlike play and the steroid abuse, there are STILL Yankee fans that LOVE him. none I know personally, just ones that I’ve heard quoted in stories about him.

      • MonicaQ says:

I was absolutely shocked when some Yankees fans thought that A-Rod would clean up his ways when he came from Texas because “he’d be in the spotlight”. Once a jerk, always a jerk. I’m *still* surprised it took the NY Media so long to turn on him. They ate Eli Manning alive (and are again), destroyed Mark Sanchez, took down John Tortorella (though his team did him no favors), and A-Rod got a pass until a few months ago besides the occasional “HAR HAR CENTAUR!” quip.

MEANWHILE stuff comes out about Manny and I could hear the howling in NY. I have no particular love of Boston (read: long suffering Dolphins fan) but call a jackass a jackass, shit.

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

@ Doofus-Well all the Yankees fans I knew were loving A-Rod in 2004. Maybe they secretly hated him but were frontin’ because I’m a Sox fan but they definitely made a big show about how awesome the Yankees were gonna be now that they have A-Rod and acted like he was the second coming of Christ.

I will forever love Trot Nixon for this though:

Hammered by Red Sox players for seemingly boastful comments made to The Record’s Bob Klapisch about his lengthy workout regimen. Trot Nixon: “He’s running stairs at 6 in the morning while I’m sleeping and taking my kids to school? I’m like, ‘Well, I’m not a deadbeat dad, Alex .’”

        http://www.northjersey.com/sports/Timeline_The_A-Rod_Saga.html

@Monica-we had a similar scenario over here with Josh Beckett, a Sox pitcher that everyone loved, until we found out what an egotistical douchebag he is and then everyone suddenly turned on him.

The thing is that it’s inevitable that you’ll have some ahole athletes on your team, no matter who you’re rooting for.
At least your Dolphins don’t have to deal with Aaron Hernandez..

      • MonicaQ says:

I’m a Florida alumni so we knew already he was a douche. Just not a *murdering* douche. It’s like we were shocked but not surprised (if that makes any sense). Instead the Dolphins got Micheal Vick’s brother who won’t shut up on twitter but at least either of us don’t have Jim Irsay 😉

Oh good lord, Beckett. Just ugh. Uggggh. When he played with the Marlins and I was at a game, my first question to a friend was, “Who’s the douche pitcher with the smarmy face?”. We soon found out.

      • Rhiannionkk says:

By the way, I hated when we got Clemens, too. And go red sox. Maybe you can make the rivalry ” interesting”. No, really…

    • Bridget says:

Mariners… Well, fan isn’t really a word anyone uses about the Mariners right now, but yeah… Here. We knew he was a douche years ago. We were happy he left, even if that signaled the end of the very short ”winning” years. Epic, epic douche. The Yankees deserve all they got, giving him that ridiculous contract on top of that ridiculous contract the Rangers gave him.

      • DoloresChurch says:

The year A-Rod left is the year the Ms won 116 games, but were eliminated in the ALCS by the Yankees who lost the World Series to the Diamondbacks.

I will never forget the 1st game ARod played at Safeco as a Ranger. The fake money was flying, the boos were deafening and one fan made a sign that read Who Let The Dog In. The absolute most fun baseball game I have ever been to.

I always tell fellow A-Rod haters that they may hate him more, but I have hated him the longest.

  8. Jegede says:

It’s also quite humiliating for Cameron Diaz as the piece CLEARLY states she was his supposed girlfriend while this was going down
Cameron tolerating this kind of shabby treatment, coupled with her meltdown over her break up Timberlake only confirms my belief that her persona/interviews of a’strong’ ‘happy’ ‘independent’ woman is cliched BS!

  9. Nope says:

Did I understand that Diaz slept with the leftovers of a couple of hookers? The same night?
    Sounds desperate.

  10. AmandaPanda says:

That second picture, with him pursing his lips in the suit: he is a dead ringer for James Holt (of “James Holt Enterprises”) in Devil Wears Prada. Right?

  11. blue marie says:

What is the difference between a hooker and a call girl? Is it pay grade or is it the same thing?

    • phillykatt says:

Call girls/escorts generally charge more and do not solicit in public. They do not like to be referred to as hookers, prostitutes, or whores. Escorts will often say that they are charging for their “time and companionship, and not explicity for sexual services, though I doubt if they are charging $300.00 an hour to play chess!

No matter how much they charge, though, all sex workers are at risk for sexual and physical assaults. It’s greatest at the street level (transexual sex workers really have it bad) but the madame that provided “girls” to Eliott Spitzer said he liked beating them up, so she stopped sending them.

  12. Hautie says:

Okay, you know, you are wrong for that centaur picture… give me a moment to stop laughing.

Geez’ Rodriguez is the ultimate creepy assh*le.

And Cameron Diaz dodged a big bullet. But she is probably still drunk dialing him to this day.

But sadly, he is not the first or the last athlete to behave like this.

Most of the high end pro ball players have little respect for women in general. Too many groupies willing to do anything.

Just think of the demeaning crap that the hookers do for cash. Stuff that they can’t talk a groupie into doing for free.

I believe Tiger Woods is a prime example of a star athlete who did or still does the exact same thing. Big money only brings out the real character of a man.

Yet, women would sell their souls to marry one of these fools.

  13. anon says:

Diaz. Didnt dodge a bullet. She hung in for a couple years and then went back for more for a short reconcilliation. There both kinky as hell

  14. TheOneandOnlyOnly says:

Why is that not surprising – it’s not like he’s going to be sitting around reading Scientific American or The New York Review Of Books or Shakespeare.
It’s telling that the building worker described him as a douche and an unfriendly narcissist. Everyone on this site knows that the majority of celebs we pour vitriol on, when the pr and image are removed, are pretty much like A-Rod.
Agree with everything you said, Hautie.

  15. m says:

I definitely think he is a misogynistic dbag, but at least he has stayed unmarried. Yes he cheated on his girlfriends by the sound of it, but I think what Tiger did to Elin was so much worse.

  16. lovegossip says:

I live in Seattle, so I remember him before he was “big”, he was a prick when he was with The Mariners too. He is just a bigger prick now, only difference! 😀

  17. Nicolette says:

Oh A-Roid, the only way you can get a woman is pay her?

    • Tapioca says:

He could still walk into any nightclub and point to where he wants the line to start – fame and money talks – but if you’re paying by the hour you can have them do whatever you want, and then they leave you in peace!

    • T.C. says:

There are some things even a groupie won’t do, the sex worker would do it, get out and keep her moth shut.

      • m says:

Yeah and after Kobe they all got scared.

      • Emily C. says:

This is completely untrue. Sex workers are hired for specific services, and are very clear about what they will and will not do. A client does not own the sex worker’s body for any period of time.

  18. Nev says:

He is sooooo complete YUM. Can’t help it.
Shame embarrassment whatever I’ll take it.
All the bad stuff I don’t wanna know. SWOON.

  19. Kiddo says:

He’s just not that interesting, and this a cliché of the sports playboy. This specific revelation should send Diaz to a doc for a lengthy health screen. Or maybe she knew and didn’t care? She seems nice, but not the sharpest tool in the shed.

  20. eliza says:

This man is a disgrace to baseball, athletes and men in general.

  21. aang says:

Gross. But as long as the women were willing workers and not trafficked or coerced into prostitution I guess they are all adlults making a deal.

  22. Dutch says:

Please do not take this as a defense of A Rod whatsoever — however it seems like the building’s super is making a big leap of logic in assuming these women were hookers. Baseball players attract groupies. I used the live in a city with a Triple A team and at my hangout bar we marked the arrival of spring with the return of the baseball groupies. It doesn’t make A-Rod any less of a slimeball, but I think it just ranks up there with the “Derek Jeter gift basket” groupie story

  23. Yelly says:

I randomly had a huge crush on this guy when I was like 14. Never knew he was such a douchebag. Bleghhh.

  24. bowers says:

Kate Hudson, Cameraon Diaz ???? So these women are not too smart are they?

  25. Claire says:

I am from NZ so this guy is famous to me for dating famous women. He always made my skin crawl. I have always thought Cameron would be up for anything – although she portrays the image of sweet and bubbly, judging by the men she dates I am not convinced. A lot of them seem to have serious egos and be extremely unlikeable

  26. Emily C. says:

The term “sex worker” does not denote “pity”. It denotes “this is a human being doing a job.”

And I really don’t care how many someone wants to hire, so long as he follows whatever they agree to and does not push for more and pays them well. And I also really don’t care that he cheated on Cameron Diaz, because it’s none of my business, and why are we assuming they didn’t have an open relationship or that she didn’t participate? Pretty sure she’d agree to anything any guy wanted at all. If she was cheated on — I don’t care. I hate her anyway.
