Here are some new photos of Jessica & Ashlee Simpson making an appearance at Dillard’s in NorthPark Mall, in Dallas. Photographers also got some shots of Eric Johnson with little Maxwell Drew, who looks pouty and perturbed. To his credit, even though I think Eric is pretty much a total K-Fed, I’m consistently impressed by the fact that Eric seems like a very hands-on father. He seems very comfortable with his kids and you can tell that he spends a lot of time with them. It’s sweet. I wonder if Eric was in charge of her rooster tail?
As for Jessica… she’s definitely been keeping a lower profile lately, although she has been doing some promotional stuff for Weight Watchers. Trying to fulfill her contract, trying to convince us all that she’s back on track. Last week, she posted a blurry, out of focus image of herself (allegedly) in a white swimsuit – you can see it here. Go and come back and look at these photos. Same person? Not really. I’m not shading her – she had two pregnancies, one right after the other, and it’s perfectly fine and normal for her to not have “snapped back”. But this Weight Watchers thing is just such an albatross for her, isn’t it?
Next, here are some photos of Eric with little Ace Knute at LAX ahead of the trip to Dallas. We’ve really only seen Ace once before, in Jessica’s Us Weekly cover shoot. I don’t want to oversell these photos or anything, but these might be my favorite baby photos of all time. *mic drop*

my daughter and I both simultaneously snorted laughing when we saw Ace’s eyes. He’ll get used to the cameras and strange people in his face. Cute bubs.

He is absolutely adorable. He reminds me of the YouTube baby who would startle and then start laughing when his mom sneezed. However, he has got to be scared to death of the flashes…poor thing. I would look like that too!
I have no idea why Jessica would sign a contract with weight watchers. It’s not like she needs the money – she rakes in a mountain every year from her fashion ventures. That kind of pressure on a new mom has got to be very stressful. Unfortunately, after two kids you can’t really predict how your body will look, or how long it will take for the weight to come off. I really think the “bounce right back after baby” thing should go away.
Jessica’s team tells her that her key to our wallets is her “relatability” to us; that is what the statistics say. So she will continue to choose to promote products that emphasize her struggles……just like us!
Add to that being a mom so she will continue to parade and trot out her kids for her own business promotions. In other words whoring out her children for her own gain.
@ TG : when it comes to whoring out your kids, I’d say Jessica Simpson is a pretty mild case (cough – Kris Jenner – cough).
I’m offended to think that she is supposed to be “just like me”. She comes off as lazy and dumb, so not really something I would want to identify with.

Her children are absolutely adorable; I just wish her husband/baby daddy would try a little harder with his fashion. His clothes are always so boring. The same Canadian tuxedo picture after picture after picture. He should take fashion advice from his little boy.
That top she is wearing is so unflattering on her and the material looks absolutely cheap. I think the styling is half the battle with Jessica.

One thing is for sure – her weight watcher ads are majorly photoshopped. I think she looks just fine, but she doesn’t look like the person in the weight watchers ad. If there is one ad that shouldn’t be photoshopped, it’s weight watchers.

I was at Northpark Mall in Dallas a few hours after she made an appearance there. I didn’t see her, but I struck up a conversation with a woman who did wait in line at Dillard’s to talk with her. She said that Jessica is so gracious and sweet in person, and she noted that she stayed longer than she was scheduled to. I’d also like to say that my favorite pair of boots are the Jessica Simpson brand. And, in my pursuit of decent looking maternity clothes yesterday, I found lots of cute pieces by Jessica Simpson. I bought a lot from her line; everything else I saw was pretty hideous. So bless her for making cute things for pregnant ladies!

I give Jessica Simpson credit for selling nice clothes that actual women can wear and can afford. Her stuff sells for a reason. Oh sure, she’s no Kanye (unaffordable leather sweat pants) but …….. (runs and hides).

exactly. if the situation were reversed as in he was the star and she were a regular girl, no one would have a problem. He’s taking care of the kids, giving her moral support, and spending time with her. I wouldnt want it any other way with my husband.
I like that he keeps his own style but just once, it would be awesome to see him shaved and in some stylish GQ clothes. I think he’s an attractive guy (who makes pretty babies evidently lol) and so if they both put effort into it they’d be a great looking couple.
Honestly, I think people dislike him because he’s so obviously hitched his wagon to the gravy train. I mean, he started that stay at home dad routine well before they ever got pregnant – remember how they hooked up (with some haziness as to whether or not he dropped a long time gf to be with Jessica) and he IMMEDIATELY gave up his spot at Wharton to just follow her around? Jessica Simpson isn’t my cup of tea, but by all accounts she’s a genuinely nice lady and she’s got thisnshady guy as the father of her children. I guess it fits though considering that her own father is a shady guy.
Because her babydaddy/sperm supplier has been using her every since they got together. He got with Jessica while he was still married, rumor has it, Jessica had to buy her own engagement ring. Eric seems to have absolutely NO drive or ambition to do nothing else except knock Jessica up etc.
Rumor also has it, Eric refuses to sign a prenup and this is the reason why they have not married yet.

Hold up people. Before you get too gungho on just these couple pics there are some awesome ones yesterday arriving in Boston for Thanksgiving. Jessica looks excellent and happy. ACE is a big boy for 5 months. There are always some very good pics but for obvious reasons its tough on this site as the dislike shows so not much in positivity but I do keep trying. lol. 5 months ago Jessica had her second C section which means she was unable to work out for 6 weeks which already put her behind then she breast fed. Of course its easier to just forget reality and facts.

Why does everyone just assume that celebrities breastfeed? I mean, I don’t think that she’s ever even stated that she is. Also, you can’t complain that people talk about her weight when she started the conversation with the weight watchers contract. Literally, she is being paid for us to talk about her weight.

why do they keep referring to her son with his full name i.e. Ace Knute? No one calls Jessica Simpson “Jessica Ann”.

I saw some pics of her posing next to a couple Miss Texas winners and she looked great! And certainly no larger than they were.
If I saw her in Target as a regular person there is no way I would think she was “fat” yet she gets called that everyday. And I think if you go back and look at what she looked like right after she had Maxwell she obviously has done a good job losing weight (find some pics of her heading to the gym, I remember how large she was). To say she hasn’t lost is just not true and not really fair to her (I know how hard it is to diet).
Anyway, her kids are adorable, and that wide eye stare makes me laugh.
I posted upthread about the woman I spoke to who met her at Dillard’s in Dallas. I forgot to say that the woman mentioned how beautiful she was. And, not that it should matter, but she also said she was “tiny”– petite and just a little bigger than she was (the woman I talked to was really thin). I also find it annoying that people describe her as fat. She’s a short girl (and a different body type than her sister Ashlee), so she never going to be waify. But she is certainly not “big” or “fat.”
I hate those Weight Watchers contracts and I think it was a huge mistake for her to have signed one – it was a VERY Joe Simpson move. While J-Simp has always loved photo ops it’s always been Joe that’s pushed his daughters well past the point of overexposure and squeezed every dime out of every project and endorsement possible, whether the public wanted it or not. By signing that WW contract she’s literally being paid to make her weight the conversation, and to be honest I really hate how it reinforces the idea that is being pushed right now – that a woman’s worth as a mother is directly related to those numbers on a scale. The entire motherhood converaation is all about how fast a woman can lose that baby weight. If Jessica Simpson wants to change that conversation the first step would be to give back the WW money. She’s successful in her own right – she’s got one of the best licensing agreements around with her line with Camuto – so why would she think she needed that deal in the first place?

Some info on Eric.. He is very much like his dad. His dad is a carpenter/ house renovator and builder.. Very different then his mother whom is a well established lawyer in Boston. Does seminars in Harvard and Yale and many other positions. This is how Eric grew up. A very low keyed dad very supportive of his wife career.. Does that make his dad Steve a KFED too.. T me its men comfortable in there own skin and know who they are.. He definatley is a hands on daddy and there are some great videos from the weekend. He is very much in tune with his babies.. We would not be having this discussion if it was a woman boding with her children and a stay at home mom.. There is not a lot to be known about Eric it doesnt mean he sits on he couch either
It should also be said the WW shots were not photoshopped nor was the weekend. There are far too many private pics out there from the weekend that show Jessica as looking quite normal and very good. Of course if you want to look for the one pic from an angle as so happens to many you will find that one. For a woman birthing two babies in just over a year and both C Sections she is already 6 weeks behind on everything else.. She is looking fabulous and happy. She has what she has always wanted. I wish her nothing but the best.
It should also be noted that many were many that were appreciative of the interaction from Jessica this weekend.Warm and inviting to all.. It was her first time back in Dallas at an event … She brought he family home.
Eric is a Yale Graduate who was the 49ers top receiver before injuries ended his NFL career — something entirely beyond his control.
Getting into and graduating from Yale and making it in the NFL are not even close to being K-Fedish and repeatedly calling Eric that is incredibly ill informed.
It is also not easy to transition from the NFL into another career and right now he is busy being a very present father and calling him a freeloader for being a great parent is both ill informed and sexist.
