Did Prince Harry & Cressida Bonas spend any time together over the holidays?

FFN_Bonas_Cressida_FFUK_102913_51246465

There was a flurry of reporting about Cressida Bonas over the Christmas holiday. I guess that makes sense – Prince Harry returned from his South Pole trek, and it seemed like he went straight to Sandringham to spend time with his family, although there were some reports that Harry spent time with Cressida the weekend before Christmas, at Richard Branson’s mansion. But as for the Christmas and post-Christmas plans… the tabloid editors were all “Where’s Cressida? Is she going to see Harry on Boxing Day?” Even the New York Times got in on the Cressida gossip-mongering, speaking to several well-connected royal-watchers about the possibility of a Cressida-Harry engagement coming soon. You can read the full NYT piece here, here are some highlights:

Ms. Bonas’s anticipated presence at Sandringham Thursday — a speculation floated by some of the British newspapers, only to be shot down by others — set off more fevered speculation that Prince Harry was about to propose, a sales-generating story line that has been kept alive for several months. “Will Harry Make Cressida His Princess?” the Daily Mail asked in August (answer: not then). In October he was reported to be about to propose under the Northern Lights in Iceland (not then, either), and in November that she had given up her dream to be a dancer to marry him. (Still to be determined.)

Ed Perkins, press secretary to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and to Prince Harry, declined to comment on Ms. Bonas’s holiday plans. But Ingrid Seward, the editor of Majesty magazine and author of “A Century of Royal Children,” wrote in an email that Ms. Bonas would most likely be staying with her father, Jeffrey Bonas, owner of MacCulloch & Wallis, a clothing and fabric manufacturer, who lives near Sandringham. Ms. Bonas “is one of the sweetest girls I have ever met, and I have known her since she was very young,” Ms. Seward said.

The British press, as is their wont, may have jumped the gun on the happy news.

“I wouldn’t be expecting a Christmas engagement, but they are very much in love, really serious about each other and spending a lot of time together,” said Sophia Money-Coutts, features editor of the British society magazine Tatler. Ms. Money-Coutts said speculation around Prince Harry proposing to Ms. Bonas had been heightened by the recent engagement of Guy Pelly, a close friend of Princes William and Harry, to his girlfriend, Lizzy Wilson. (There are also reports in the press that Pippa Middleton, sister to the duchess of Cambridge, may be engaged to her boyfriend, Nico Jackson, a London stockbroker.)

The royal correspondent for the Telegraph reported on Sunday that Ms. Bonas would definitely not be joining the crowd at Sandringham, quoting a “courtier” who said, “His Royal Highness knows that it would not be appropriate for Miss Bonas to join the royal family for Christmas until they are a married couple.”

Inevitably there have been comparisons drawn between Ms. Bonas and the duchess of Cambridge: the latter has been molded into a typically decorative, mostly mute royal consort, whereas Ms. Bonas is “incredibly arty, creative, happy-go-lucky,” according to Ms. Money-Coutts, who added, “She’s a party girl, but not wild or over the top.” Ms. Seward said Ms. Bonas was very different from the duchess: “less conventional.” Associates say that, whatever happens with the prince, she is determined to have a career of her own, probably as an actress.

If the duchess’s style can be described as stunning if sensible, Ms. Bonas’s is haute-bohemian. At a recent wedding she wore a crown of flowers atop an ensemble of a black coat, geometric-patterned dress and black tights. “There are lots of photographs of her in the press,” Ms. Money-Coutts said. “The fact she is jaw-droppingly beautiful is obviously a help.”

In the summer, Ms. Bonas was photographed at the Glastonbury music festival wearing blue denim overalls and a hair scrunchie, previously the most benighted of fashion items. “Suddenly the scrunchie was cool again,” Ms. Money-Coutts said.

Ms. Bonas’s mother is Lady Mary-Gaye Curzon, the daughter of an earl, who achieved some notoriety as a model in the 1960s by posing apparently topless smeared in engine oil. She had five children by three husbands, and Ms. Bonas is her youngest daughter, whose name was derived from “Troilus and Cressida.” “She comes from quite a grand family herself, an aristocratic family,” Ms. Money-Coutts said. “She is not going to be fazed by the grandness of the royal family.”

“Harry doesn’t go for high-maintenance girls,” Ms. Money-Coutts said, adding that Chelsy Davy, his ex-girlfriend, was also down-to-earth. “Cressida’s very relaxed,” she said. “Kate Middleton has to be the way she is: she’s married to the future first in line to the throne. When you’re Harry, you can be a bit naughtier, and Cressida has a freedom that comes with being with Harry.”

Ms. Seward said that it might be difficult for Ms. Bonas to pursue a professional path if she joins the royal family. “It’s very hard to have a career,” she said. “Many have tried and failed. I don’t see Cressy being able to carry on with her dancing, which is why she is doing a bit of teaching to fill in. She has to do something.”

Ms. Seward added that Ms. Bonas was finding the media attention “very difficult indeed. She does not like it as she wants to go out and about without makeup, et cetera. It is very constraining. But Harry is being very protective indeed.”

Mr. Perkins, the royal spokesman, would not say if Ms. Bonas was receiving support or advice, though, Ms. Seward noted, since the days of Diana, there is “more media, mobile phones and instant information.”

“You have to be much more secretive,” she said. “It’s not much fun. She is perfect for Harry, but giving up her freedom would be difficult. Having said that, Harry’s charm is like a flame thrower, and he is the most eligible bachelor in the world, so it’s hard to resist.”

[From The New York Times]

It’s interesting, right? All of the royal-watchers have definitely pegged Cressida as “The One Who Will Marry Harry” and they’re just waiting for the engagement announcement. My gut is telling me… Harry won’t propose over the holidays. He’s going to wait a while longer, I think. Especially if the additional reporting is true, that Cressida is spending New Year’s on Necker Island with her sister (who married Richard Branson’s son). Also: apparently, Cressy’s drink of choice is rum, straight up. WTF? No mixer?

Other story – Cressida is apparently determined to continue using public transport for as long as possible, even though Harry worries that she needs a private car.

liquor is better when served straight or on ice.

(and yes, this is my takeaway from this article.)

    • Suze says:

      You have your priorities straight!

    • ncboudicca says:

I would like to refine that to “good” liquor is better on its own. I can drink Basil Hayden neat but really do need a mixer for Jack Daniels.

I wonder what rum Cressy prefers?

      • nico says:

I’m a wimp. I have to mix it with something to get it down.

      • yael says:

nah, if it’s cheap quality liquor i’ll just drink it faster (or once i can’t tell the difference between it and the good stuff.) 😉

      • LadySlippers says:

Yes! Quality liquor is nothing like the cheap crap…

      • BooBooLaRue says:

here’s a tip, take cheap liquor and run thru a clean Brita filter at least 3 times…

      • Florc says:

        BooBooLaRue
        Why a brita filter?

And agree. Quality liquor is best enjoyed neat imo. Although Whiskey, Scotch, and Bourb and I will never be friends again. Even in a mixer.

      • Secret Squirrel says:

Rum and I are not the best of friends. I like it, but it doesn’t like me!

And sorry to all the puritists, but I have to have my (occasional) whiskey with a mixer. Then again, I’ve probably never had the really good stuff so that might make a difference. There are other drinks I prefer to have before rum or whiskey!

    • BooBooLaRue says:

      Haaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

    • Sloane Wyatt says:

Indeed. Grey Goose neat is my preferred ‘poison’.

    • shannon says:

I drink less than once a month and have never been much of a drinker, but when I do indulge it’s Crown Royal, neat, no ice. You can afford nice whiskey when you drink so seldom, and adulterating Crown Royal with juice would be a sin. Also I don’t enjoy the taste of liquor so the shot gets it over with quickly. Mixed drinks are awful to me because nothing really hides the taste for the first drink or two anyway. Mixers just drag out the experience and the sugar involved makes my stomach rebel. So yeah, that’s how those of us who are practically teetotalers can come to drink straight liquor. More common than you’d think! Also I’m Irish which explains a lot I think – I hate beer and wine but I’ll take whiskey or cider.

  2. G says:

What a royal princess pair we’ll have … Waity Milktoast and Grumpy Cat.

    • Suze says:

Ha – I thought the same when I saw these photos of her. She never looks at all pleased to see the paps. Not that I would be, either, but given what she might be taking on, she should get used to it.

    • Sloane Wyatt says:

I think of Watercressy as more of a Scottish Fold kitten with her tiny delicate features. She is quite pretty in an elfin way.

    • Victoria1 says:

Hahahahaha I was trying to figure out how she’s pretty when she’s always frowning… Harry can do better!

      • Florc says:

She’s got a default b1tch face. She’s not seeking the paps attention or smiling for them. I think that’s a quality harry appreciates.

      • Secret Squirrel says:

If there is one thing we learned from Charles and Diana, it was that Diana’s beauty was not enough to hold Charles’ attention and he needed intellectual stimulation as well (enter LOHL Camilla). Perhaps Harry isn’t focused on Cressida’s looks (although I think she looks fine) but gets that intellectual kick from her. After all love is more than looking at someone. You have to be able to talk to them and enjoy their company after the initial physical attraction has settled down.

        Or is that just me??

    • Tiffw28 says:

Hilarious , I can totally see grumpy cat now you pointed it out !!

    • Liberty says:

      !!! That’s it!

    • Sloane Wyatt says:

I’m getting hungry, G! Watercressy and Milktoast, mm!

    • Danskins says:

Princess Grumpy Cat – ha, ha perfect name! 😛

    • Mitch Buchanan Rocks! says:

LOLOL you’re giving Disney some fresh ideas now – a cartoon with waity and grumpy princess – it would be better than the smurfs.

  3. Aerobic 21 says:

I think tabloids have absolutely no clue whatsoever re their relationship and her whereabouts. They are just making stuff up as they go on and keep on contradicting themselves. I also don’t think he will propose and I also doubt how serious he is about her.

    • Jegede says:

      My thoughts exactly.
I also 100% think the Bonas family are happily feeding the press with the BS stories of ‘hesitant shy Cressida’ and ‘over willing smitten Harry’ (he did not seem so smitten when he was getting nekkid in Vegas with randoms).
But they are the ‘right sort’ so all is forgiven

      • TG says:

I agree @Jegede – at first I thought Cressida was playing a long game but I realize they are trying to play a short game with all this “reluctant” Cressida talk. They need to bring Harry to heel now before this fragile beauty’s looks fade.

    • LadySlippers says:

Ingrid Seward isn’t just ‘some tabloid reporter’. There are reporters that usually know their stuff. She’s usually one that does know a thing or two.

      • Jegede says:

Seward is also a family friend of the Bonas’ crew. Happy coincidence

      • LadySlippers says:

But she’s been a good Royal reporter for decades.

      • Juliette says:

So Ingrid Seward’s reporting now on the same level as the Middleton’s paparazzi guy?

      • Florc says:

        LadySlippers
I have to agree with you. When you’ve been a royal reporter for so long and you have an in to that world you make friends and connections.
And maybe Cressida’s family is just playing this very well, but it’s far more controlled and less showy from how the Middleton’s played the tabloid game.
Speaking of that relation, William knew when the Midds were giving their paps a heads up to private William and Kate locations. Harry would surely figure it out if Cressida was playing the same game.

      • LadySlippers says:

In terms of respect, Seward is head and shoulders above Tannaj in overall Royal reporting. Yes and it’s because of her connections she’s maintained for decades. She is honestly well respected.

And I totally agree with you Florc that William uses Tannaj and the Middleton’s take the blame. The difference (in my opinion) is Tannaj tends to get very, very specific tips whereas Seward gets a more broad overview but is not as specific. Neither is necessarily better than one another — you just need to be aware of it.

  4. Sloane Wyatt says:

I want Watercressy’s entire outfit!! Please, Oh Please, CeleFairies, can you tell me who made everything The Princess To Be is wearing – from her shoes to her scarf?

    • LadySlippers says:

Isn’t this the same scarf VG was drooling over a few weeks back?

ETA: Go back to the post featuring Cressida in the magenta coat, you should find the links there.

      🙂

    • ncmagnolia says:

      Scrunchies are cool again. Really?

  5. Khalesi says:

    I love her jacket

  6. T.C. says:

At least she is more interesting than bland Waity.

  7. phaksi says:

Im still thinking Waity 2.0, but maybe she’ll surprise us if they do marry

    • MinnFinn says:

Let’s hope not. Harry should marry someone who is very different than Kate. Someone with a backbone who does not behave like an 18 yr old prom queen/party girl.

    • LAK says:

Take Heart. Harry doesn’t go for waitybots.

The waitybot has traumatised us all so much that we’ve decided that is what it takes to join the royal family. It is not. It’s how waitybot decided to do it.

    • sienna says:

I kind of agree, but I hope you’re wrong. I liked Waity initially, and actually the waiting didn’t bug me that much… many a girl has played a stupid waiting game to get a man to marry them. But then she got her wish, became a princes,s and doesn’t DO anything. (Sausage curling and skirt fly-upping not withstanding) .

Let’s hope that Prince Harry is smart enough to pick a life partner who wants a life of public service.

  8. heidi says:

Queen grandma needs to take Harry to task and tell him he can do better. Why does she look so malnourished and sickly? Does she smoke?

  9. nico says:

Some psychic predictions for the royal family for the new year.

Kate and Will deliver a spare heir.

All good with Prince Charles and Duchess/Countess/Whatever Camilla after her quickie rehab visit.
    http://pagesix.com/2013/12/30/the-futures-all-in-the-stars/

I don’t believe in psychics but have fun reading the predictions.

  10. bettyrose says:

Am I alone in thinking Cressida is stunning? Pouty women are a whole other level of beauty.

    • MinnFinn says:

IA. Her facial bone structure is exquisite.

I hope she’s not too emotionally messed up. I pity her for having a mom who’s had 3 hubbies.

      • LAK says:

From all the reporting, and when you see them in person, they are very happy jolly fun family. They have loads of friends whilst also simultaneously hanging out with each other. It’s a family to make one jealous despite the multiple parents if you like big families that all seem to adore each other.

      • Sloane Wyatt says:

I couldn’t agree more, LAK. Extended non nuclear, non traditional families are the best!!

(BTW, what does ‘LAK’ stand for? For some cockamamie reason, I always think of an airport acronym whenever I see your username.)

      • LAK says:

Sloane Wyatt: LAK = my initials

      • Florc says:

        Sloan
I’ve often thought of LAX too when reading LAK. At 1st glance the K looks like an X.

    • Suze says:

Beauty is very much in the eye of the beholder. That said, I agree with you.

I predict that there will be many people who disagree vociferously.

      • Bubbles says:

I am disagreeing vociferously. I find her incredibly plain, if not ugly.

      • Spooks says:

Me too. She’s plain at best. Kate is 10 times prettier, and she isn’t some great beauty, either.

      • Sloane Wyatt says:

Bubbles, I find Cressy to be more belle laide. *pretentious*

      • Suze says:

        See? Told you.

It hardly matters what any of us think of Watercress or Kate. Their respective royals seem to like their looks just fine and that’s all that counts.

FWIW, I don’t think either Kate or Cress can hold a candle to Isabella-of-the-Three-Hyphens. But few people could.

      • Bubbles says:

@Sloane, no, I wouldn’t even call her that. She’s not interesting enough. Boring and plain.

    • Pinky says:

You’re not alone. She has a really beautiful face. In the first photo she looks bad but we all have those photos.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I think she’s pretty, but disagree that pouty women are more beautiful. It gets on my nerves when models are required to look pouty or oh so bored all the time. That’s boring to me.

    • Juliette says:

I think she’s very pretty for a British girl. Is that horrid to say? I feel I can say it because I’m half-Scottish myself! Generally, we are not considered the loveliest (the Danes), the most poised (the French), or the best dressed (the Italians)… But we can drink them under the table! Bring on the rum, hold the ice!

      • Bubbles says:

Italians are the best dressed? Really? Not the ones I have seen.

What are we Slavs like? Do we have a stereotype?

      • shannon says:

Bubbles, Americans tend to group Slavs with the rest of Eastern Europe. Our general stereotype for you is: exceedingly beautiful women, a penchant for good vodka and a more socially conservative attitude in general compared to Western Europeans. Oh also we are discovering that former Soviet bloc countries have some amazing tourist cities that we were totally in the dark about until this decade. No idea if any of it besides the last one is remotely true 😛

    • Florc says:

You’re not alone! I think she’s got great structure and naturally stunning. I don’t really get how some say she’s ugly, but beauty is in the eye and all as another said.

      • Belle says:

Very much agree with your Florc. I think she is a natural beauty… and that is without the benefit of the royal photo shop that Kate seems to be privy to in most of her photos.

    • littlestar says:

I think she is very pretty. Especially when she smiles, like in that picture with her sister (or whoever that is).

    • Sam says:

No, I came here only to post the Cressida is beautiful.

      That is all

    • Sophie says:

      I totally agree!

I’m a hetero female but I have a total crush on this girl. I think she’s one of the most beautiful people I’ve ever seen.

  11. Talie says:

I mean, she is at an advantage more than Kate was because this is her world — Kate was in it, but still an outsider amongst her titled friends. So Cressida can work things behind the scenes better, even better than Chelsy Davy.

  12. Liberty says:

If I can’t have a Chelsy+Harry match to smile over, I want a Harry+JLaw wedding. Those two women could take on the Grey Men while I think Cressida might be smothered bit by bit trying to do the right thing, get fed up or overly rummed and end up missing her freedom and career and bugging off. Whereas, maybe Chelsy could stymie them with a freedom lawsuit threat now and then, and JLaw could talk horses with the Queen and she’d get right down into Harry’s charities in jeans and a smile.

    • Jessica says:

Like JLaw would give up a promising career in film–that already includes an Oscar–to marry into the British Royal Family.

      • Liberty says:

That’s the point — JLaw WOULDN’T give it up, and she’d overcome their bleats of concern American-style by laughing and switching the convo to horses etc. and she would help Harry stay free and do more good stuff.

  13. Dani says:

She needs a facial. Her skin is deadddddddd.

    • Florc says:

      Some photoshop will fix that.

      • Belle says:

^^^ This, LOL I just commented on another post of yours Florc, about Cressida’s photos not getting the photo shop treatment that Kate’s do. I was shocked when I finally saw some photos of Kate that had not been shopped!

  14. Jessica says:

Did anyone see this PR piece about Cressida and how she’s totally down-to-earth for continuing to use public transport and she’s totally the new Diana for giving the palace protection officers a headache? Seriously, Cressida keeps leaking stuff via her friends and her PR campaign is obvious and annoying.

    http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/latest-news/357862/Fears-for-Prince-Harry-s-girl-Cressida-Bonas-as-she-continues-using-public-transport

    • Jegede says:

      Don’t say out loud.
She’s the ‘right sort’ for Telegraph readers and social register accolytes so her family is above all this.
Sister Isabella is a failed talent free actress who had bits and pieces in TV, hardly giving Keira Knightley or Alice Eve a run for their money, but has successfully dined out on her William association since, and this was b4 being waity herself for son of billionaire Sam Branson to marry her. But she’s blonde hair and blue eyed aristocrat so all is forgive.
Only the dusky arriveste Middletons are to be shamed for leaking stuff to the media

      • Suze says:

I think her family has come in for lots of eyebrow-raising stories in various press. As do the MIddletons. It’s par for the course when you sign on for royal duty.

I don’t see a difference in the reporting on the two families at all. In fact, I just read an unflattering story about Miss Bonas’ father and I can safely say I have never ever read anything unflattering about Mr. Middleton.

I don’t know if I see class pot-stirring here. But I am going to sit back because some people and some of the press are just ready to start the vicious comparisons between these women. When they are probably more alike than different.

And the “dusky” description – gross.

    • LAK says:

the daily star is on a parr with the Globe and just as credible.

      • Jessica says:

It’s still a PR fluff piece designed to make her look good–even if it comes from their imagination and not actually from her camp.

      • LadySlippers says:

I was just going to say this LAK.

Please learn about the quality of British papers — we wouldn’t want non-Americans thinking the trashy Enquirer was on par with the wonderful New York Times! And like us, the Brits have some fantastic papers, while a great many other papers are only suitable for bird cage/ litter box/ house training liners. And that’s it — the only thing worth a dayum is the paper it’s printed on.

      • LadySlippers says:

But Jessica, It isn’t planted by anyone connected to Cressida’s family. What LAK is saying is this is probably 100% cooked up for sales only. You can’t blame Cressida for that.

      • LAK says:

Jessica: Whether or not Cressida is running a press campaign, the Daily Star is hardly a paper she would use.

BTW: Cressida doesn’t have to ran a media campaign. Media has decided that she’s Harry’s girlfriend, which always attracts media attention – look at Chelsy’s profile during and after the relationship. This means that Cressida’s picture value has gone UP. She’s making money for media which means she’s going to be stalked more by paps, true and untrue stories are going to be written and the public will be willing to sell their encounters with her. It happens with celebrities when we know for sure that they have a publicist to help it along. Why shouldn’t it happen with someone the media AND the public are interested in?

      • bluhare says:

I don’t think anyone here needs a PhD in tabloid identification to be able to gossip, but that’s just me.

      • LadySlippers says:

No bluhare, you don’t need a PhD in British tabloids or news outlets but it does help distinguish between gossip that’s patently false and gossip that might have a shred of truth in it. That’s all I was trying to get at.

    • Jegede says:

      @Jessica
MTE. If the story were about Kate M today or in the past, I doubt some would question the reputation or agenda of the tabloid.
I imagine the lines would be more like “The daughter of the air hostess and her family, feeding the media again! damn they even use the Star! do they ever stop??”

      • LadySlippers says:

Not true. William (via the Middleton’s) has often fed the papers but it’s not the Star or the Sun that was the paper of choice.

      • Jegede says:

        @LadySlippers
But was the same benefit of doubt given to Kate when stories like these appeared in the Sun or Star? Doubt it
And why is it better simply because the Bonas’ have stans in the Daily Mail society pages (quelle surprise) and Mandrake from the Telegraph to feed.
Is it the principle of feeding the tabs, or is it the choice of outlet?
Or does the principle change according to how often your family is featured in Tatler?

      • LAK says:

If it’s the daily star, i would question it simply because that is not a credible paper. They shouldn’t even call themselves a paper since their bread and butter is naked/semi naked girls and sports. And no, it’s not at all like the cheeky Page 3 girls of the Sun or the Mirror.

The Enquirer has more credibility than the daily star will ever have.

      • Suze says:

I’ve never seen a comment like this on this blog.

      • Suze says:

@Jegede – I think the Middletons have probably appeared in Tatler almost as much as the extended Bonas Althruster Whatever clan.

      • bluhare says:

Suze!! Mr. bluhare almost had to do the Heimlich manoeuver on me. I was eating my toast when I read Bonas Althruster. LOL!!!!! 😀

      • LadySlippers says:

Jegede, I can’t vouch for anyone else but I do. I always look at a source to determine their credibility. I even made a chart for myself of the crappy British tabloids (98% fiction) vs the British papers/sites that are gossipy but might be true (40-70% fiction) vs British news organizations that are mostly true but not always. The DM is a great example as they do have sections that are more real news and less gossipy but often, even with their gossip, it’s almost verbatim what the Telegraph or Guardian has written. Except the DM throws in a bunch of unneeded editorial comments (which I hate and think it contributes to their credibility issues).

On top of that, I look at the author to see what ‘lean’ they have — which Royal camp are they in? Royalist vs Repuplican? etc. in order to further get a grasp on article’s take.

There are quite a number of things I consider when I give these ‘scoops’ any merit. A lot is just malarkey and it doesn’t matter who their subject is. Plus, I always have to be able to admit when I’m wrong and I do. The Guardian AND the Telegraph aren’t perfect — no one is — including me.

And people forget at one time, everyone was quite taken in by Kate and her family. So that is hard to reconcile with the bashing she and her family experienced after the bloom fell off the rose (and that went on for awhile). Plus then the huge about face that happened post the engagement announcement.

Again, I can’t talk about anyone else, I can only speak to what I do.

I always thought News of the World was a gossip magazine with lots of fabricated stories. But as they imploded and even now we learn that some of their seemingly fabricated stories were taken from hacked BRF voice mail.

So sometimes truth IS stranger than fiction – e.g. Charles way of talking sexy (creepy in my book) to Camilla was stating that he wanted to be her tampon.

Heh – Bluhare, glad to amuse, as always ; ).

I certainly don’t want to be seen as some Uncle Tom to the aristocratic crowd.

MinnFinn: Isn’t that the truth?! Therefore, for the most part, one can’t say our tabloids are fiction since this trial is proving home much of it came from the source. And hacking was wide spread across all the newpapers or quoted liberally from information gathered via hacking. NOTW were stupid enough to get caught red handed via the Milly Dowler story.

That said, the daily star is the closest thing we have to a tabloid USA style of the kind that report alien sightings. They don’t bother writing credible news, but report what is written else where.

Their target audience is firmly lad culture, working class, uneducated who respond to football, booze and birds [which is how they would describe women]. Their reporting reflects this.

The News of the World was my favourite Sunday morning pleasure. I loved going to their site to see what trash they had up that week. Ah, the memories.

The aristo brown-nosing quoted in the NYT article is so over the top, so above and beyond it almost reads like satire. Is it?

stories like this… who knows. Maybe Harry stays single for decades. He doesn´t come across as someone who wants/needs a wife or a new family. William on the other hand is happy with his new mummy Carole and daddy Mike. They treat him like the golden son and Willy loves it.

I prefer Cressida´s grumpy face over Kate´s intense grin. Don´t know why, but it looks fake. Kate could be the nicest person, but her face screams fake.
Cressida with her bitch face is more real and not so “created” as Kate. I also find her more beautiful. She´s softer, even with her big forehead.

    • bluhare says:

I think Kate’s grin is fake a lot of the time. It was a big complaint about her; that she’d always grin and play to the cameras.

      • Florc says:

Kate’s grin was a topic of discussion long ago. Several links were given about how we view a sincere grin to a forced grin. She’s not engaging certain muscle groups and on a subconscience level we see that.
It’s also her veneers. Many people thought her smile looked just wrong after the work was done.
Of course, when she gets that cat got the cream face it’s very ott.

Harry wants a wife and kids, he’s been very open about it. I think he is lonely and my only fear for him is that he wants to have someone there so badly, he’ll settle.

. “Suddenly the scrunchie was cool again,” Ms. Money-Coutts said.

    No it wasn’t.

  18. manta says:

But would it be safe for Harry to marry this girl? I mean, she’s the youngest child from a woman who had 5 children with 3 husbands!! The horror! She must be disturbed or instable or insecure or all of this.
At least, that’s what I learned reading the comments on Winslet posts.
And ,since a woman having multiple children with different men is apparently the lowest of the low, can she really be the mother in law of a future king’s brother?

  19. Fields of Lavender says:

New poster here. I really love this site!
It beats CDAN hands down. That being said
I think Cressy looks a bit ticked off in most
of her pics. I should think it would be quite
tiresome to photographed all the time.

  20. marlio says:

It appears to me, that the relationship between Prince Harry and Cressida is cooling off. Cressida appears to be angry in both of the photographs they have taken of her. And with her not accepting any of prince harrys invitations to come to a party or gathering, it seems she is not as enthused about Prince harry as she once was. And it probably didn’t help that he was gone for a month prior to Christmas, and I doubt she even wanted Harry to go on the excursion to the North Pole. If they do become engaged, she had better make it clear that he is not to be gone away from home, for long periods of time, because I don’t imagine she will want to be alone that much. Both of them are going to have to give in some or this marriage will never happen. She still needs to grow up a bit and Harry needs to slow down. However, I wouldn’t give cressida more than one year to make up her mind, whether to marry harry, if that long. He wants a family so he will have to start looking again if she doesn’t accept his proposal to marry her. And if she doesnt, he needs to start looking for a girl who has completed some college, wants to be married and have a family, and will not be completing with Harry or want to have their own career in the limelight, such as a musical artist.
