Kristen Stewart cast in dystopian romance ‘Equals’ with Nicholas Hoult

Remember when Kristen Stewart’s fans thought she would get an Oscar nomination for On the Road? Remember when they were mad that Kristen would deign to present at the Oscars when Twilight had been so badly snubbed from all of the major awards shows? Anyway, I was just thinking about that. I was thinking… “I wonder what Kristen Stewart thinks when she looks at Jennifer Lawrence’s fast-and-furious Hollywood trajectory?” I bet there’s a heavy dose of “better her than me” in Kristen’s thought process, but I bet there’s also some wistfulness and jealousy, mostly about the roles Jennifer Lawrence has been offered and the acclaim Lawrence has garnered.

So, Jennifer Lawrence was offered a part in Drake Doremus’s new film, Equals. It’s a reimagining of George Orwell’s 1984 as a love story, I think (the source material seems sort of convoluted). Jennifer Lawrence had other stuff to do and I guess she wasn’t that jazzed about the part, so she turned it down and the part was offered to Kristen Stewart. I guess Kristen felt like the story was important enough (because we know the reason she didn’t work for two years is because she CHOSE not to work, right?), because now Kristen is doing the film with Nicholas Hoult, J-Law’s boyfriend. Girl Dramz!

Kristen Stewart is hooking up with Jennifer Lawrence’s boyfriend . . . on the big screen. The 23-year-old actress has signed on to star opposite Nicholas Hoult in the upcoming futuristic love story Equals. In a recent interview with The Associated Press, Stewart explains why she’s nervous to take on the part.

“I can’t believe I agreed to do it,” Stewart told The Associated Press on Monday, Jan. 14. “I’m terrified of it. Though it’s a movie with a really basic concept, it’s overtly ambitious.”

“It’s a love story of epic, epic, epic proportion,” she added. “I’m scared.”

Equals is an adaptation of the 1956 film 1984, which itself was based on George Orwell’s classic novel about rebellion in a futuristic society. The project begins filming later this year with director Drake Doremus, who also directed Lawrence, 23, in 2011’s Like Crazy.

“I trust Drake’s process and I know we will do something really natural and real,” Stewart said. “But I told Drake, ‘Don’t expect that I am going to be able to do this. It’s too hard.’ But he wouldn’t take ‘no’ for an answer. I’ve given directors disclaimers before, but never this much.”

Doremus has complete confidence in his leading stars, telling The Associated Press, “It became evident in my head that Nick and Kristen would have great chemistry.” The director did confess, however, that Lawrence first read the script and was brought to tears by it, but couldn’t see herself in the role. (Lawrence and Hoult, 24, rekindled their romance back in July. The X-Men: Days of Future Past costars had previously split in January following a two-year romance. Stewart, meanwhile, split from real-life boyfriend and Twilight costar Robert Pattinson back in May.)

Twilight star Stewart and Hunger Games star Lawrence were rumored to be feuding back in March 2012, but the leading ladies denied the reports and hung out together at the Toronto Film Festival in September. “She’s so cool,” Stewart told MTV News of spending time with Lawrence. “I was a lot younger than her when I first sort of entered this world of franchise land, and I don’t know, I guess we sort of both went, ‘Wow, this is so weird.’ We were actually sitting in a corner with [Harry Potter star] Emma Watson as well, the three of us. We were like, ‘Wow, this is strange. This is really cool.'”

“I think people assume that actresses don’t want to [be friends],” Stewart added. “It was kind of a great feeling, to be honest. I was like, ‘This is kind of just awesome.'”

[From Us Weekly]

“Though it’s a movie with a really basic concept, it’s overtly ambitious.” Thought an actress of rather basic talent, Kristen is overtly ambitious. I don’t know, that line just bugged me. I know the gossip-scandal that we should be focusing on is probably something involving Kristen Stewart banging Nicholas Hoult in the back of a Mini Cooper, but I’m not really feeling it. I mean, I think she would go there but I kind of doubt Nicholas would. He seems like a sweetheart and he seems to be into Jennifer. Anyway, this film sounds like a mess. Kristen Stewart lip-biting her way through a dystopian romance? No thanks. Let’s see if it even gets made, being so overtly ambitious.

Watch out, Jennifer… Nicholas is brit and in a relationship.

Hope he doesn’t like liking pits, or Jen will be done.

  2. Dani2 says:

I LOVED the book 1984 in secondary school and I’ve loved Nick since he was a child actor so the concept of this movie sounds very appealing but I can’t ever seem to enjoy watching Kristen on screen so I’m gonna give this one a pass.

  3. Dani says:

ugh WHYYYYYYYYY 1984 is such an amazing book.

ps I doubt he would even bother with her – regardless of Jennifer – he just doesn’t seem to be into the whole drama thing.

    • Dani2 says:

Lol girl we have more in common than just a name, 1984 is straight up one of my favourite books ever so this sucks because if she wasn’t in it, there would be no question about me seeing this movie.

      • Dani says:

hahahah my favorite book!! read it when I was maybe 13 and still have the same copy. Definitely not seeing it because she’ll ruin it for me forever but I love Nick Hoult.

    • Zigggy says:

I know, and I laughed at how this new movie will be based off the 1984 movie, not book. lol

  4. kibbles says:

I haven’t seen anything with Nicholas Hoult since About A Boy, but he seems like a decent guy and a supportive boyfriend. He doesn’t seem stupid enough to ruin his reputation and his relationship with a cool girl like Jennifer Lawrence who is currently the IT girl in Hollywood, to hook up with Kristen Stewart. No, not going to happen. Kristen Stewart should feel fortunate to be offered Jennifer Lawrence’s scraps. That’s all she’ll be getting because no studio is going to pick Kristen over Jennifer for a role. This movie sounds interesting though.

    • Spooks says:

Why does everybody think Kristen would go there? I mean, she did make a huge mistake, but she’s friends with Jennifer.

      • Dani2 says:

I think she’d be incredibly stupid to make the same mistake twice but she played Liberty’s daughter in SWATH, not best friends but colleagues, probably got along reasonably well – it didn’t stop her then. Also, she and Jennifer aren’t friends, they’re acquaintances. They get along but we’ve never seen pictures of them hanging out outside of official events.
Bottom line, I don’t think she’d do it again but she ruined her image with that “momentary indiscretion” because the tabloids will always pick up this same “she’s going to cheat with so and so’s boyfriend/husband” narrative.

  5. Nerd Alert says:

    Nick: bad actor
    Kristen: bad actor
    1984: GOOD BOOK

WTF!? Why must all good things be ruined by Hollywood? *cries*

    • blue marie says:

Cause I don’t think they know how to do anything else?

      • Nerd Alert says:

You’re right. They keep sinking lower and lower. I wouldn’t put these two in a movie together in the first place–SOMEONE has to carry the thing. But then to spit on Orwell’s grave like that? Blasphemers!

  6. blue marie says:

So.. bets on how long before the stories come out that Stew-y’s trying to steal Law’s man? I’m going with, it won’t even be the first day of shoots. And then in an attempt to console herself J-Law will run off with Rob..

  7. CTgirl says:

KS periodically picks a word and uses in every published sentence for a couple weeks or months, sometimes without really knowing what the words mean (i.e., if everything in your life is “iconic” then nothing is). Some of my all time favorites . . . the aforementioned “iconic”, “overtly”, “radical”, “honest”, “indulgent”, and “literally”.

  8. GIRLFACE says:

While this script premise sounds like it will p^ss off anyone with a brain; I can’t wait to hear Kristen’s future gems: “epic, epic, epic, proportion” and “basic concept, overtly ambitious” were only the beginning! Haha. Might as well make 1984 a musical romantic comedy. Jeez.

  9. harpreet says:

Isn’t it weird this was released by her peeps to the AP?

Didn’t know they did celeb pieces like this.

    • Hannah says:

She couldn’t wait til Friday to get some press while all her peers were on the spotlight cause of the GGs.

    • Grace says:

Uh cool the conspiracy talk. She’s started talking to press because of Sundance. Also, call them crazy, but studios like publicity for their stars and upcoming films, it helps with that whole tickets/boxoffice/money thing, who knew?

  10. Alina says:

so just because she had one affair years ago you´re sure she would f*k every guy she works with?????????? Low, very low.

    • aquarius64 says:

You forget she was accused of cheating on Michael Aragano with Robert Pattison. (oh the irony). She and Rupert were proven; and that is why Kristen Stewart has the rep she has now. She really damaged her professional image with that Mini-Cooper mess. Right or wrong, she will always be under suspicion with any actor or male director who’s married or in a relationship.

      • Grace says:

First of all, to know a 23 year old’s life and pathetically short romantic history like you do, is pretty overinvested. I like her, and even I dont know how to spell the kid’s name she was with when she was 14. I mean kudos! That’s impressive. (Snicker) You do know you’re going all the way back to what I just read on Google, was her 7th grade boyfriend she was with before Pattinson? Come on lady. what is your PROBLEM?? That’s certifiable. Please take a break from the whole rabid jealousy for a girl you don’t know and have no clue about, thing. It’s pathetic how women are so toxic with each other.

      • original almond says:

*accuses someone of over investment – check
*attributes valid criticism to jealousy – check
*closes with strawman pseudo-feminist argument – check
        You’re doing splendidly. Carry on.

  11. nadia says:

Kristen, you keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. I also feel like she said the same exact thing about her Mary Lou role? Maybe it’s a recycled quote?

Also, once again, she is completely tone-deaf. Basically, she’s saying she doesn’t believe she can do justice to the part, but the director must see something special in her. Who the hell says that about themselves? How about: it’s going to be a challenging role and I hope I can do the part justice! Leave the special insecure snowflake subtext out of it. Are you listening media coach? Please help this girl.

Finally, that quote about hanging with JLaw. HAHA, see her making excuses for herself before realizing it and changing the subject? “I was a lot younger than she was…..” My guess is she compares herself often. I really need to stop reading her interviews. My eyes might get stuck in the back of my head. New Year’s resolution.

    • Grace says:

Um, nice try. But I don’t think so. (Compares herself often) I read that Lawrence contacted Stewart first, as she knew she could shed some advice on the whole franchise thing and what to expect (echoing what Kristen said in this piece) and also to clear up some media lies, they became fast friends (as the person down thread points out) and hung out at TIFF, and a few friends parties… maybe not every woman is as insecure and jealous as you would be in the same circumstance, ever think about that?

  12. Sarah says:

arent they friends? her and nick? i dont think hanging out with someone of the same profession at a professional event makes someone friends, like its implied with Jennifer Lawrence, Kristen Stewart and Emma Watson hanging out together once. but Nick was at Kristens birthday party which seems a lot more like friends.

i dont think Kristen would be that dumb to ruin another chance by boning that guy. the gossip reporters though will try everything in their power to make that happen, no matter the cost on each of the people involved. its too good for them to pass on. actually it has started already withouh them even being on the set.

on another note: 1984 is an increbility importand visionaity book (look at the intelligence servies nowadays) and they want to focus on the romantic part with two mediocore actors? please no.

    • Hannah says:

No, he was hanging out with Riley Keough at the time cause they were in a movie together and SHE is friends with Kristen.

    • mimi says:

      @Sarah

Yes, Nicholas was at Kristen’s birthday party last year. He came with one of Kristen’s close friends, Riley Keough. And Jennifer, Kristen and Emma all hung out together at last year’s TIFF. Emma talked about it fondly in an interview. Plus, don’t forget how Jennifer rushed over to Kristen at last year’s Oscars when she spotted her on the red carpet. Jennifer was in the middle of an interview but stopped when she saw Kristen to acknowledge her arrival. There are lots of pictures of the two girls hugging and laughing that night on the red carpet. While I doubt they are bffs, I’m sure they have a friendly, casual relationship when they do bump into eachother.

  13. Robstencuteness says:

Kristen is not filming this movie anytime soon. She’s having a baby in April and will take time off to nurse and bond with the baby. I wonder if she will name the baby with a B name like her 3 dogs.

    • Dani2 says:

LOL please tell me you’re trolling! You can’t honestly believe that, you’re better than this, I swear.

      • original almond says:

Poe’s law. Until explicitly stated, any parody attempt will be confused with the extremist version it’s trying to mock.

      • Grace says:

The way you react to her makes me think it would be worth my while to come back to this thread in a few more months. Hater heads might be exploding. Lolol

      • Dani2 says:

@Grace oh so you believe that kristen is secretly pregnant too? Aww, you crazies are so cute with your make-believe world 🙂
I can’t wait to see how YOU react when Kristen is still sporting a flat stomach months from now, stay delusional sis 🙂

      • Grace says:

Your confused, dani2, I’m just calling out your reaction. You seemed scared at the prospect, i can smell the fear…and that’s hilarious to me. I don’t care one way or another. She can do what she wants.

      • Dani2 says:

@Grace eh we misunderstood each other I guess, I was exaggerating but it’s disturbing to me that some robsten fans truly believe that she is secretly pregnant when there’s never been any evidence to suggest that she is.

    • Dani says:

      Girl your crazy is showing…again

  14. ORLY says:

    LOL!!!
    🙂

  15. Sisi says:

so basically another YA dystopian lovefest with a questionable feminist lead character? Don’t we have enough of those movies already?

  16. miriam says:

Firstly, 1984 did actually have a love story within it, however it’s such a clever book that it didn’t need to rely on that sort of melodrama to achieve its goal and become one of the most important and influential books of the last century.

Secondly, Kristen and Nicholas are both unbearable to watch onscreen, so I can’t see this film doing very well.

  17. Marianne says:

I hope it does get made, only because Drake Doremus is a totally cool guy. I met him when he was at TIFF for Like Crazy. He was very down to earth and funny.

    • Sunny says:

I totally agree. Doremus is awesome and Like Crazy was one of the best, most honest movies about young love/long distance relations that I have ever seen. He got wonderful performances from his cast, especially Felicity Jones.

That being said, this seems like a difficult project to pull off. And while Kristen Stewart doesn’t strike me as the most talented actress and she has a limited range, the camera loves her and she has been decent in certain roles. With a project like this the chemistry will need to be good between her and Nick if this film is to any way succeed.

I also think everyone should stop crap talking the possible on set romance angle. Kristen made a huge mistake and acted selfishly and carelessly. She probably has learned her lesson and won’t risk her career again. As to Nicholas Hoult, he seems very committed to JLaw and I am sure he is also conscious of his image as he continues to get more work in Hollywood so he probably wants to avoid scandal. Also part of the reason he and JLaw broke up last year was that he had trouble with her level of fame. I cannot see how he would want to go anywhere near Kristen aside from being colleagues and friends if that is the case. Her fans are a little crazy.

      • mimi says:

        @Sunny

You say Kristen’s fans are a little crazy? Well, to be fair, it’s actually Rob’s crazy stans who are crazy talking/predicting/hoping and praying that a Kristen-Nicholas hook up while they film Equals together happens. Yesterday when pap pics surfaced of Kristen and her close female friend photographed together at a newsstand in LA, they were claiming she is a closet lesbian who, along with Rob, faked their 5 year romance because the Twilight studio heads demanded it of them. With today’s news of her co-starring with Nicholas Hoult in Equals, Kristen is back to being a sex-crazed heterosexual who preys on her weak, unassuming male co-stars/directors.

See how their minds works? LOL

      • Anname says:

Mimi, blaming all the crazy on Rob fans is ridiculous. I think it’s more than obvious Rob and Kristen both have their own groups of absolute idiots screaming at each other (online) everyday. You can’t lump all Rob fans together anymore than you can lump all Kristen fans together.

And you can’t assume that everyone who is not a fan of Kristen must be a crazy Rob fan. Some people just don’t like her. She seems to deliberately cultivate this prickly personality, and many people don’t respond to that.

      • GiHsol says:

It doesn’t matter if Nick is going be interesting or not. Nobody seems to think he is stupid enough to go there but the story writes it self being true or not. We all know how tabloid works. i Hope people realize Kirsten PR isn’t navy. Her fame came with twlight and her relationship with Rob. She doesn’t have it anymore so tabloid lies is what is going to keep her on the media. Indies needs media to sell but those kind of thing ruins movies and actor image especially one young as Nick who is trying to break out. Is possible Jen didn’t want the role but since she liked she could had recomended Nick or talked to him about and he got interesting and then Kristen came on board. Idk maybe his pr people thinks is a good idea because his name will be in the press but this could back fire.

  18. Anna says:

I can’t stand her as much as the next person, but all the commenting about Hoult needing to watch out, etc. is seriously disconcerting. People didn’t like her before, and now they’re using a huge mistake that she made and paid for dearly as a blanket excuse to say horrible things about her. It’s sad how misogynistic WOMEN can be.

    • Kelly says:

True, am also still pissed how it’s never the guy’s fault, but only of the “other woman”….

    • lunchcoma says:

Also, Nicholas Hoult is an adult who has free will. It’s not like Kristen Stewart has witchy powers that let her compel men into sleeping with her.

    • Grace says:

      Preach.

    • Dani says:

They’re both guilty but how is what happened considered a mistake? She knew he was married and I’m pretty sure he knew he was married too. It’s not like they ate a cookie before dinner, they acted on desire.

    • MisJes says:

      +1, Anna.

  19. FreeSpiritedGirl says:

Hmm… Nah, Nicholas Hoult is NOT a sweet guy. He does look like one but he is anything but sweet. The reason JLaw and Nick split because there was a third person involved. Nick didn’t shy away from having a threesome with JLaw. Later on, JLaw refused and broke up. It’s a long story.
Mark my words, Nick & KScrew will definitely bang each other. KScrew hates JLaw.

    • MisJes says:

Really? I didn’t pin him as a jerk. Interesting! Do you mind if I ask where you sourced this info from?

  20. JudyK says:

I will never understand her appeal to anyone on any level.

    • Grace says:

Um, because you personally know her of course. Reality check, she’s just a shy introverted little former teen and child actress now young movie star who had/has a boyfriend that you all wanted to bang ferociously, she’s not Satan. Get some perspective. Kristen Stewart has more people that really like her than you do, which is why she’s a kajillionaire movie star with fans, and you’re on a celebrity message board insulting her. Oh, and don’t get it twisted about your own ‘appeal,’ your post doesn’t exactly paint you as a never ending barrel of sunshine raining skittles candies on everyone’s head.

      • Dani2 says:

@Grace or should I call you the opinion police? Shutting down (or attempting to shut down) any criticism or “hate” targeted at Kristen won’t change the minds of the people you responded to. And @Judyk’s comment is actually one of the least offensive comments in this thread (nothing like those “watch out nick hoult” comments) so I don’t see why you got so upset about it. As for not knowing Kristen personally, you don’t know her either lol! You spend your free time browsing the internet and defending her on gossip sites but she has no idea that you exist. Oh, and more people like her than the amount of people that like you as well so spend some time pondering that. People are entitled to their opinions of her in the same way that you are.

      • Grace says:

Who’s upset? I’m not the one whining and crying that Kristen has yet more movies on her dance card, I think it’s terrific. Lmao. I’m not saying you can’t opine about Stewart either. Everyone, especially super successful people, have their haters, so says Katt Williams. I’m just holding up a mirror to the toxic meangirls. Call it a hobby!! 😉

    • Dani2 says:

@Grace you’re upset because not everyone loves her the way you do 🙂 And you’re not holding up a mirror to anything, you can’t see beyond your “kristen is criticised, must defend” mindset so keep at it! I don’t begrudge her any of her success but you can keep deceiving yourself that you’re changing the world by being an aggressive stan 🙂

  21. Happy21 says:

Ughh! I can see the cover of every celeb tabloid for the next 6 months already…spare me!!!

  22. original almond says:

Two talent vacuums come together to depict the torment of the human condition in a dystopian future. Watch her lip-bite, seizure-blink and hair-toss, see him emote with the ability of an unassembled cardboard box.
How and why is this chick still getting work?

  23. original kay says:

Thank you Grace for making me laugh through my very bad cold.
I’ve enjoyed your “defending kristen” posts thoroughly!

    • Dani2 says:

LOL right? So much projecting onto Kristen that she’s convinced herself that criticism aimed at Kristen is actually aimed at her, that’s why she sounds like she’s about to pass out from rage. The poor thing.

    • Grace says:

Anytime, I enjoy pushing the buttons of irate batshite jealous meangirls who can do nothing about this kid’s success. See you at Sundance and the Chanel launch!! I’ll leave that baby stuff to the poster up top, I don’t want you to stroke out. Hahaha.

      • Dani2 says:

Likewise I enjoy pushing the buttons of irate batshite overinvested stans 🙂 And oh honey, I won’t be seeing you at those events because I have better things to do than to spend my life trailing a stranger that has no idea that I exist. I’ll leave that to YOU 🙂 you do it so well.

  24. St says:

    I hope it isn’t true.

So Nicholas Hoult was cast first and then they offered role to Kristen Stewart? I really hope that Nicholas will be smart enough and will just run from that movie soon, claiming schedule conflict or something. Like Ben Affleck did. Because we all know that this movie will turn into huge joke, that tabloids will write every week how Nicholas is cheating on Jennifer with Kristen. And we all know 100% that this will happen.

Ben was smart enough to run from that “twilight kryptonite”. I hope that Jennifer Lawrence’s team will also advice Nicholas to drop out. Because not only it will turn his life into tabloid joke but it will also affect Jennifer. Big time. She will be portrayed as some Jennifer Aniston loser that was dumped by her hot boyfriend for her rival or something like that. She is Oscar winner and respected actress. Her team will not want her reputation to be ruined like that.

Also it’s simply not worth it. It’s not like Kristen Stewart will suddenly learn how to act and it will ne Notebook like epic love story with huge chemistry between Nicholas and Kristen. He will try his best to be charming and lovely and she will bite her lips and open mouth every time when script will require her to show emotions.

One of them should drop out of the movie. I don’t believe it will be made with his cast. Nicholas Hoult will be offered some supporting role in some big movie and he will drop out, blaming schedule conflict. And they will find some tv actor to replace him. You know what? They should offer it to Pattinson. That would be hilarious if he would take it. Also it could make some money, because twihards will probably rush to see it then. With Nicholas Hoult and Kristen Stewart that movie will not make money. He is not real movie star (yet) and she is not.

    • mimi says:

      @St

” I hope that Jennifer Lawrence’s team will also advice Nicholas to drop out. ”

Nicholas isn’t man enough to decide what’s best for him? He needs “Jennifer’s team” to tell him what to do with HIS life and career? Please tell me you’re joking!

“One of them should drop out of the movie. I don’t believe it will be made with his cast.”

Why? Because of your inferior feelings towards Kristen Stewart? Good luck convincing the director, producers and both Nicholas and Kristen that you have better ideas for their film! LOL!

      • St says:

Yes, there are teams, managers, agents, lawyers, pr teams etc. around actors who tell them what to do best. Sometimes they listen, sometimes not. And Jenifer is A-list movie star now. And there are people around her. And it will affect her. Did you read the first sentence of the article? “Kristen Stewart is hooking up with Jennifer Lawrence’s boyfriend…”

This is only first article and there will be more and more. No one needs this mess around them. Nicholas Hoult is up and coming actor. Was getting supporting roles in blockbusters, then had lead role in “Jack the giant slayer” and it did not do well, Warm Bodies was big success. He has career in front of him, he has to work for it, he doesn’t needs this tabloids fame and to sit in gossip sites every week when they will write how he is cheating on Jennifer with Kristen. And how Jennifer and Kristen hate each other. And we all know that will happen no matter what. And Jennifer team will not want her to be in that triangle and be portrayed as weak and loser woman.

So his team and her team will advice him to drop out from that movie. Specially if he signed first, not knowing that they will sign Kristen Stewart. And I think that eventually he will quietly drop out in the next few weeks or months, blaming schedule. Like Ben Affcleck did. This is the position that Kristen put herself in. When her love interest is some Prison Brake D-list actor then no one cares. When it’s famous actor that is married or is dating then people will assume she will sleep with him. They should sign actors that are single for her love interest in movies.

      • mimi says:

        @St

Sorry, but I still think Nicholas Hoult and HIS team are quite capable of handling HIS career choices without depending on Jennifer Lawrence and her team’s input.

Both Nicholas and Jennifer know Kristen and have both hung out with her in very public social settings post scandal without any cares or fear of media scrutiny their association with her could bring to them. Jennifer even made a very public show of affection for Kristen at last year’s Oscars on the red carpet. She didn’t have to rush over to Kristen and hug her warmly in front of everybody there and all the millions of people watching from their homes on tv. But she did because she doesn’t have a problem showing her friendship towards Kristen to the world. And I’m guessing Nicholas feels the same way because he is still attached to the film as of yesterday.

  25. Rabia says:

It’ll be interesting to see if Hoult drops out, like Affleck and Sturridge did, now that Stewart is confirmed. The rumor mill is going to be relentless and will he really want that kind of scrutiny, especially since he’s dating Lawrence? I don’t know, maybe working with Doremus is too good of an opportunity to pass up, but it just seems guaranteed to bring a lot of headaches.

    • mimi says:

      @ Rabia

Sturridge dropped out of Sils Maria because he was offered a starring role in another movie that was filming around the same time as Sils Maria. His role in Sils Maria was very small. I’m sure his decision to pick the much larger starring role over a much smaller minor one was the main reason for passing on Sils Maria.

  26. GiHsol says:

She is obviously taking advantage of the association Nick got with Jen. Why announce this project now right after the globes where he was there with Jen and everybody talked about? Anyway i pass on a very REAL and deep romance story with lip bitting. I feel for Nick because he is talent and is going to be brought down not only for her acting but because of low gossip her PR is going to generate. Hopefully won’t hurt him on the long run but he should consider backing off.

I find funny cause some people reported the pression of his relationship with Jlaw was one of the reason they broke up so why he would be in a movie that will put even more pression and the spotlight in his life and relationship. We all now it will be a bunch of lies but there will be there. Kristen become what she is today because of twilight and the showmance but all of those are over and media is tired of the Rob conciliation rumors and since she only got indies roles which rarely get press tabloids gossip is where her team will aim. Just like Focus the gossip and headline speak for it self. Nick probably got on board first so maybe he doesn’t want out and his team probably thinks is good for him but if he really wants to be know for his work rather than cheap tabloid gossip is better to look for something else cause i doubt this will be that much success either. So he probably will just lose here.

Nick once said that when actors and their relationship are on the press much it becomes harder for the audience to see them as the characters they play on movie. People see actors on the screen and think about what was on the tabloid news about them. Well he should take his advice upon himself because the only thing he is getting this is tabloid mess. BS but still bad press. Kristen team and movie producers might love this but if he really meant what he said he won’t be pleased and if the movie don’t do well and we know there is great chance that happenning because is a indie and kristens movie just don’t sell as Drake’s the only thing left is a bad movie with a bunch of bad press and he will be labelled bad actor.
