Kelly Osbourne looked a dreadful mess at the SAGs in Zac Posen couture. I have no idea whether Kelly intentionally decided to don a purple dress in an effort to play up her lilac hair. All I know is that this look is not working for Kelly, who is supposed to be critiquing everyone else as one of the Fashion Police.
The dress itself is actually quite nice from the waist down. The hip-hugging fit and the slight fishtail leading into a train give a nice old Hollywood feel. Whatever’s going on at the top of the dress is another story. Kelly looks like she can’t breathe because her rack is squeezed so tight, and the shoulders are doing something weird too. Don’t even get me started on Kelly’s helmet-head hairstyle. She needs to go back to brunette soon.
Giuliana Rancic joined her co-host, Kelly, as one of the worst dressed of the evening in a droopy Basil Soda gown. This is such an unflattering look. The fabric bunches up and sags all over the place and is not tailored well to Giuliana’s body at all. She looks washed out and miserable. She didn’t even try last night.
Melissa Rauch is the best of this bunch in a black Rubin Singer Couture gown. Her hair always looks dated to me, but the dress is a winner. This is basic black all dressed up. The emerald earrings and green clutch are a nice touch.
Mayim Bialik: Oh noooooooo. I don’t have a designer ID on this ball gown, but it doesn’t really matter when it comes to this lace-and-satin nightmare. This dress reminds me of those princess costumes you can find in the children’s section at Target. Something nice: Her hair looks fab.

I didn’t mind Kelly’s dress but I thought it was wrong for her figure. It would’ve looked much better on someone tall and statuesque like Charlize. Plus I wasn’t a fan of the color. It just looks like dirty dishwater or something.
Mayim’s dress is easily the worst of the night. I know she’s not a “fashion girl”, but how in the world did she think this was nice?

That’s a stretch. Modesty is one thing, but her religious beliefs do not mandate the lacy neckline of a Victorian era matron paired with a floor length curtain complete with train, all two sizes too large for her. She just needs to keep her elbows, knees, and décolletage covered, which she isn’t even doing all that well in this dress.
I had the same thought. She wanted to remain covered. But that dress is giving me some serious Best Little Whorehouse in Texas vibes.
And yet… I think I love it. Why??? I just don’t know. Maybe I’m still hung up on the 90’s era saloon girl style photos. I’m pretty sure for $20 you could have your picture taken in this dress while sitting on a bar with a Colt in one hand and a bottle of Beam in the other.

Mayim’s religious beliefs are why she stays away from sexy/revealing gowns. Even though I am not crazy about this look, there’s a reason she defers to the silhouette.

She takes a lot of heat for her choices in fashion, but that’s what people must not get…she doesn’t really care if its “high fashion” and has a better belief to put her energy into. It actually makes me like her more and totaly forgive any and all of her fashion missteps…lol.. cuz she’s worn some real doozies!! **love her** and Big Bang…
Giuliana used to be cute…before she got her teeth done and dropped 40lbs…She looks so sickly! I have occasionally watched FP and have been in total awe about her and Kelly talkin $h!t about others when they are hot messes themselves.
What’s strange to me is that Kelly really makes great points on FP. She has a keen fashion eye but can’t always apply it to herself. I think if she took the train off her dress, she wouldn’t look so short – and I can totally see her saying that too!

G is getting the “too thin old lady” look now. Trying so hard to be thin all the time is wearing her down.

Mayim Bialik has spoken about choosing to dress modestly due to her religious beliefs, including long sleeves and no cleavage. I think it is refreshing that she speaks her beliefs and acts accordingly whereas so often in Hollywood (and elsewhere of course), people say one thing and do another. I do think she provides an alternative to the way women in Hollywood are expected/encouraged to dress. Personally, I do not like this dress at all; she has looked much better in other dresses. I don’t think stylists or designers know what to do with her, and she probably has very little to choose from.
I don’t think anyone is objecting to the sleeves or lack of cleavage. That dress is fugly as hell. There is no shortage of long sleeved dresses and/or dresses with a higher neckline that are attractive, flattering and stylish. This is just awful.
I agree, there are plenty of other dresses that are modest, yet not a visual disaster like this one.
I think Kelly would have looked better if she wore her hair up. I don’t mind the dress at all, but I like art deco inspired designs.
Mayim’s face looks pretty, and her make is really nice and soft. I get the feeling that she wants to dress conservatively and not too revealing but there are ways of doing that without taking the off-ramp into Frumpville. Get this woman a stylist, stat!! I like her and am happy that she is doing well after her divorce and her accident of not too long ago, I just wish she would dress a bit better for these events. Because clearly that’s all that matters (I am making fun of myself here).

I think Kelly rocked that look. I’m always going to defend the petite curvy girls but I also really like that dress. Pink hair was a bad choice with a purple gown though.
Is it just me, or is Kelly just not attractive at all? I can’t figure out if it’s just her physical features/body that I don’t like all together, or if it’s because she’s a supremely nasty person—and THAT’S affecting my judgement. Because there doesn’t seem to be anything likeable about her at all, except for the fact that her daddy has money and is famous…..and even then, sometimes that’s not enough. I also find it hilarious that she’s on fashion police–she can’t dress herself to save her life.
I think she has a really pretty face but a kind of weird shaped head. Her eyes are gorgeous, the color & shape. For someone who did a lot of drugs, she looks really youthful, esp when she’s smiling.
She’s got a bit of an odd body. She is very slim through the torso, but still has very thick arms. It’s a bit of an odd combination – you rarely see young women with such thick arms unless they are overweight, which she is not. And I think the purple hair has gotten so tiresome.
Liposuction. That’s what happens when you sugically remove the fat cells from your stomach, ass, thighs – any weight gain will go immediately to the remaining fat cells resulting in fat arms, etc.
My friend had stomach lipo – when she gained weight; fat thighs. Her mother had thigh lipo – when mother gained weight; fat stomach.
It’s a trade off, best bet is to skip lipo and manage your situation and select more flattering dresses!!

I think if you met Kelly in person as a non-celeb you’d find her cute, but she doesn’t have a glamorous look that holds up well in red carpet shots. Nevertheless, I think she’s rockin’ that dress and I like her.
Mayim looks like a sister wife. Kelly needs to stop with the hair.
I really like Kelly’s monochromatic look with the violet hair to the purple dress. I think the dress has great details and is flattering on her. Giuliani and Melissa look like prom 1998 avatars and Mayim looks pretty, but her dress looks like a Victorian nightmare.
Also, wasn’t Mayim on that show What Not To Wear? Didn’t she learn anything from it?
I agree with your critique. Usually I hate almost everything Kelly wears, her outfits are so tortured. Yet this dress is flattering I also like the violet hair/purple combo. Mayim indeed looked beautiful from the neck-up.

It must be a sign of getting old, but every time I see Kelly’s hair I want to go into an cranky old lady rant that starts with “Kids these days……..!”

For two people who critique everyone else on a weekly basis, they look awful. I’m tired of Kelly’s purple hair, her mean girl attitude and her sharpened talon-like nails. Giuliana looks done, check please! She’s probably worn out at this point. How many awards do celebs need to pat themselves on the back anyway? And there’s still The Oscars yet to come. A few pounds added on her frame wouldn’t be a bad thing either. She’d look so much healthier.
It looks like she has makeup in her hair to make it look like it’s not thinning from malnutrition.
I actually really liked Kelly’s dress. She normally looks completely tragic, but aside from the oddly fitting bust/shoulder section, I think it looked lovely. The hair, however, just no. She really needs to get away from that faded lilac color, I don’t think it does her any favors.

I actually think the color of Mayim’ s is beautiful on her. When she wears all black she tends to look like the wicked witch of the north. This dress color combination made her look lovely (along with flattering hair and make up). Would loved to see this silhouette reworked to a better stye.

Get rid of the violet hair. It does nothing for you and is not edgy or attractive. I never realized how bad Kelly’s arms are and she’s small, small waist, so not overweight but big arms.

Mayim stayed in character as Amy from Big Bang Theory (that’s my theory) I don’t hate Kelly’s look-it would be much better if her hair was actually a color naturally found on humans.
