One year ago, Brandi Glanville was riding high. Her book, Drinking & Tweeting, was coming out and it would be a massive success. LeAnn Rimes was freaking out and showing just how much she cared about all things Brandi. Brandi was praised by many for the brutal honesty and clever PR of the book and Brandi’s popularity was at an all-time high. And then things started to slip for Brandi. Who know how it even started? I think the first cracks were in the late summer and early autumn of 2013, when Brandi was photographed a few times being sloppy, fall-down drunk in public. Then Brandi played the “pity poor me, I have to deal with LeAnn” card one too many times, and then Brandi had a falling out with Lisa Vanderpump and then everything with the Joyce Giraud situation.
So, one year ago I would have said that Brandi’s position on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills was secure because she was so popular and well-liked. Nowadays I say that her position on RHOBH is secure because she’s everyone’s favorite drunk, racist trainwreck and none of us can look away. Still, Radar claims that Brandi fears for her RHOBH job:
She’s one of the most controversial cast members on the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, but Brandi Glanville might be too much for the Bravo show and the single mother is worried producers might give her the axe after the current season, RadarOnline.com is exclusively reporting.
The 90210 is potentially under a major shakeup for the next season, with honchos looking to also get rid of Kim Richards, whose loyal sister Kyle might follow suit.
“Brandi is fully aware of what a big mouth she has and doesn’t really censor anything she says, and doesn’t want to,” an insider told Radar. “But she’s also aware that it might be too much for Bravo and it looks like her fan base might be falling, which has her worried.”
Glanville, 40, has been at the center of numerous cast feuds — with Joyce Giraud, Lisa Vanderpump — and the woman now married to her ex-husband Eddie Cibrian after he was caught cheating with her, LeAnn Rimes.
Most recently, Glanville made an off-the-cuff remark during her Podcast that she later attributed to “comedy,” by diminishing the severity of sexual abuse saying, “I wanted to be molested as a child.”
“It wouldn’t be the end of the world for producers to push Brandi off the show — she has so much going on with her book deals and Podcast,” the source said. “But she genuinely enjoys filming the show. She’d rather stay on board, but it’s pretty clear right now she’s on the chopping block.”
Again, I think producers will keep her. Brandi is a controversy machine and that’s what these “reality” shows thrive on. Producers are probably saving money on PR and ad buys because they can just send Brandi out for a day of interviews (not even, in some cases) and everyone’s tuning in to see what a drunken mess she is. That being said, I’m sure there are SOME things that are taboo, where if Brandi really put her back into it, she would get kicked off. She just hasn’t done that stuff yet.

I miss Camille, too. Would not bother me a bit to see Kim and Kyle leave, though. Also miss the funny, outrageous “old” Brandi–hate to watch the train wreck she’s become on this season.

OMG, this has to be trashiest season ever of RHOBH. I liked Brandi last season and can’t stand her vulgarity this season. Carlton looks 55…she’s hard inside and out…can’t believe she has children…so sick and tired of her overexposure and sexcapades w/ her husband (and implied other women). What a mom! NOT.
Actually like the sober Kim this season…have never been able to stand Kyle who thinks she’s Paris Hilton. If she does the splits again, I’m throwing something through the t.v.
Oh, and I also miss Camille. Never thought I’d say that. Good call getting the totally fake Taylor (even her name is fake) off the show. I still think she’s connected to her ex-husband’s so-called suicide. Just my opinion…no proof of that.

I cant stand Brandi. I would be so embarrassed as a mom and she thinks its funny to embarrass her children like that. Thank god they have stability with Leanne and Eddie. I miss the older cast to. Your right Carlton looks like she is 55 and tries to act like Brandi. I hope they get it right and boot Brandi for the right reason which is her children and for the show. They probably get teased enough at school for what she does.

I think these types of feelings come with the territory of “fame”. One day people like you, the next day, not so much. Not only does her language now grate on me, which before it didn’t, but her attitude is very off-putting.
me too. I like the brandi on her podcasts because she is funny and chill with her guests/friends on there. you dont see that part of her on the show ever so i really think she exaggerates her bitchy/attention seeking side on the show with the blessing of the producers.
I also used to like her, but now that she is pretty much laying all the cards on the table and exposing her tendency to be an insensitive a-hole, I don’t like her so much. Not over exposure, it’s just her showing who she really is (or doing a really good character impression of an asshole).
I don’t watch, so I don’t know who the woman on the bottom right even IS, but THAT is a serious case of drunk-for-years face.

I would not be suprised if they let her go. She is helping to ruin their brand. I really liked Brandi the last 2 seasons, I looked past the potty mouth and enjoyed the quick wit, standing up the the Richard’s bully act and fun personality. I even bought her first book and really enjoyed it. She has been exposed as a vicious mean girl. I will not buy her second because of her behavior.
It is a struggle to finish this season, it is so boring. In any case, I am deleting it off my DVR after the reunion. Keep Lisa and Yolanda. Replace the rest.

I don’t think so…RHOBH is in trouble – so many of the participants are just unlikeable. Brandi is just trouble – she thought we’d all laugh at her recent revolting comments and she’s now scared because we’ve all realised what a sham she really is. Several of them will be replaced. Especially Brandi & Kim.

I don’t think she’s alone causing the big loss of viewers. The show is just boring and it has a weird cast makeup at this point. How many times can Bravo send all the casts to dinners, stripping lessons, self-defense classes? No one wants to see that over and over. And what about all the fighting? Most of the shows are turning into negative bitch-fests. It’s just not entertaining. Viewers are suffering from Housewives shows fatigue.
Adrienne isnt responsible for getting her on the show. That was part of her storyline entrance onto the show but in actuality do you REALLY see Adrienne and Brandi running in the same circles? Its just like the Cedric thing Brandi didnt even really know him it was just party of a storyline. Brandi is good friends with Patti Stanger who helped introduce her to bravo people.
Brandi has said it was Adrienne who put in her name for an audition after running into each other at some charity event.
My understanding is they weren’t friends. They knew each other barely and Adrienne approached her at an event and said Bravo was asking the ladies to submit names for potential new cast members and was Brandi interested. From there, Brandi met with producers, etc. Adrienne’s involvement was to give Bravo agents Brandi’s name. That’s it.
I know I love that to this day people still believe that. If either them were really good actresses I could see buying into that but on the real for real they are not.

Why should Brandi apologize to Adrienne? Adrienne was horrible to her & Lisa. Adrienne was a bully who used her wealth & influence to go after other people. Even watching her interact in her marriage was cringe-worthy because it was so caustic. I think she knew how boring her position was on the show and thus went ‘diva-villain’ in order to try to get Bravo to find her interesting. Also, Adrienne had no power to get anybody on the show.
I found Brandi’s story about Joanne & Mohammed to be consistent.
She also announced on Twitter than one of her friend’s husband cheated on her w/the babysitter. Even if she didn’t name names, someone’s personal turmoil shouldn’t be tweeted about.

I’m also perturbed at her irresponsible dog ownership. After the last dog “disappeared”, Brandi said her kids MUST get another dog immediately, then scheduled a filming day in her house the day after adopting the new dog. She then stated she hates the new dog, he follows her around all over the house and she hates it (that’s how shelter dogs are when you bring them home Brandi). She did nothing but scold or frown at him. Dogs are smart enough to pick up on these things. By the way, her dogs also use the house as a bathroom, which she bitches about but does nothing to fix.

I remember Bravo having some really great shows before the Real Housewives franchise took off. Does Live at the Actor’s Studio even air anymore? There was a show that followed gay couples who wanted to get married (this was when only civil unions were recognized) and it was a well done piece without the sensationalism that you see on the shows now. Bravo’s a trash receptacle now.
They will give her one more season to see the her fully implode. I hope she’s saving her money because her fanbase is clearly shrinking . I’ve never liked her (not that I like LeeAnn either) so I feel vindicated that her true colors are shining through.

They are talking about the show because they are wanting her off. The fans of the show do not like her. She is NOT Beverly Hills. She does not have a fabulous life that anyone would envy and she is no better than some drunk college age drunk girl, trolling for attention. People want to see wealth. Fabulous homes and clothes not some anorexic foul mouthed drunk screaming at other women and letting her dogs pee and poo all over her home. So not what the original intent of the Beverly Hills franchise was meant to be.
She certainly gets the most press out of anyone on that show. I’m wondering what Bravo would have had to aired this season if her and Joyce weren’t fighting. I mean, there is literally nothing interesting happening on this season. Why is Bravo turning this into formulaic drivel? There’s gotta be other interesting things these women could do.
I think it’s a pipe dream though that BH will ever be about super wealthy classy people. People like that aren’t going to do this show. And honestly, just because you have wealth, it doesn’t mean you have class. We see Hollywood-types having falls from graces, doing depraved things pretty frequently. Money doesn’t equate to the perfect model human being.

All I can think now is ”someone watches the show for Kyle?” because the Richards women and their friends are pretty nasty pieces of work. And like her or not, all of the RH franchises bread and butter is drama. What else would you be watching this season? Lisa clearly wanting to be somewhere else? Kyle’s terrible store? Like her or not, Brandi is currently the one driving that show. Now, she’s on a very slippery slope and needs to shape up because she’s frittered away all of her goodwill on stupid gaffes, but I would be shocked if Bravo didn’t give her at least one more season.
People may be talking about the show, but it’s losing viewers. Andy may like the headlines, but advertisers buy commercial time based on viewership (and demographics, but that’s a whole other discussion). All the talk in the world won’t keep her on if advertisers don’t want to buy because of her/low ratings.
I don’t think she’ll get axed this year–there are too many other cast problems–but I do think she’s on thin ice. Especially because people have been writing the sponsors and complaining about her molestation comments.

brandi, love her or hate her, has a storyline. Kim Richards and Carleton do not. Even Kyle is pretty lame this season. Besides, Brandi is in pretty good with Brandi if WHHL and her tweets about hanging out with Bravo producers are to be believed. i think they encouraged her to up the crazy during filming because what they had was pretty stale.
Every “character” has an up or down. Remember the game night from hell? or dinner party from hell in S1? Kyle dealt with a LOT of backlash from that time period and it all has melted away and people actually want Camille back on the show. all it takes is for someone else to say/do something mean/stupid and Brandi will be in the good graces of viewers.
Brandi has crossed a line. Somehow you do not see that.

what line is that? in bravo/reality TV standards? I remember on The Real World on MTV the line was if you hit someone, you were kicked off but everything else was fair game. Being trashy and vengeful are not in the bravo contract violation categories.

Now I am not saying this because I want to prove you wrong I just watch a lot of Bravo so I know that while she may not “use” it a storyline it definitely been brought up and almost exclusively by her, so yeah.
This is the first year I have watched RHoBH and it was only after reading Brandi’s book and joining twitter. I would like to see her succeed and hope her recent troubles are behind her now.
Well I called it, after the child abuse joke fell flat last Thursday I guessed she’d be using her kids on twitter to try and pull back to the “single mom only out to make a living” persona. Low and behold the next 5 pictures (and 10 or so tweets) she posted on twitter were of her sons and their friends. Brandi has two competing sides – her sexy bad girl trash mouth side and her “I’m just a single Mom love my kids to death” side. Problem with her is she can’t balance them, which is what her fans would want. Her fans don’t want talk of choking out during sex and then her turning around and talking about spooning with her boys. They don’t go together. The “sexy bad girl” side pays the bills on RHOBH but in the long run she’d be better served to stick with the “Good Mom” side for her kids’ sake.

Speaking from experience, no. No, you did not. Because you don’t know sleepless nights and night terrors almost 20 years later. Because you don’t have scars on your wrists put there at 11. Because you can’t fathom in your tiny rich mind having a mother that leaves you to that because she’s too strung out. But guess what? I know all of that. I know it better than she knows when to keep her mouth shut.
I used to feel sorry for her. I did. But with this? F*ck you. It’s not a joke.
If I could give you a hug I would. I may not know you but from reading your posts, I think you’re a strong, fantastic woman. (and I know that wasn’t what you were going for with your comment but I wanted to say it anyway)

If they keep this ratchet hussy on the payroll she will continue to show the viewers just how insensitive, thoughtless, nasty and ignorant she really is. If she was cut off earlier, you would have been spared the molestation jokes.
She should not be allowed a public forum of any kind if she intends to not put it to good use. Happily mocking persons of abuse (child molestation) is NEVER a laughing matter.

How many MORE viewers does this pondscum have to offend before she is yanked off the air? Does Bravo need to be sued in order to get THEIR act together?
Furthermore, there are silly people writing today that still think she’s OK because, after all, she has not directly offended THEM…
RHOBH producers want drama and Brandi brings the drama, otherwise this season would be boring as hell. Brandi isn’t going anywhere. Every season one HW seems to get the “bad edit”, Camille in season 1, then Kyle etc. This season is Brandi’s turn. Next season it’ll be someone else. That is their formula.
She should be more concerned that her continued plastic surgery doesn’t confuse visiting extra terrestrials and gets her “ phoned home”.
I very much doubt RHOBH producers will let Brandi go…she has probably boost the show’s ratings this season. Maybe they’ll threaten to throw her off the show so she’ll be too scared to ask for a raise.
BTW – I never liked Brandi, never bought the whole “I tell like it is” crap she spews. I find it hilarious that so many people find her behavior problems as “refreshing.”
I am so glad most people seem to understand the scripted reality show is producer influenced and I promise you the Bravo franchise love Brandi this season because she is bringing on the drama and the one this season getting the show any publicity at all. Heidi (Leann Rimes minion) or some of her other 4 fans, go to every Brandi or Leann article and trash Brandi Glanville going so far as saying she should not have custody of her kids and blah, blah, blah. All these women go from being good moms to being the “bad girl” on the show at one point or another. When the fans went nuts over Teresa Giudice (sp) flipping the table during a heated argument, Bravo changed up the whole format for all their housewife shows. Now they are all about the drama of talking about each other behind their back and creating a hostile environment. If they can’t do that, they do not keep them. Leann and her few fans just want so bad to base Brandi’s entire life on how she appears on the show that they are really making themselves appear less than intelligent. They even want to blame Brandi for the decrease in ratings blah, blah, blah. I think everybody is just burned out on the same thing every show, every season. There are only so many fights that are interesting. After the first three or four they have all lost their mystery. The new woman always gets picked on every housewife show. If what we have seen from Joyce Giraud is the best she’s got to bring to the table, she won’t make the cut. Just how the housewife shows are. Love them or hate them. I still admire the fact that Brandi took a bad situation from a douche ex and his sleazy side kick and made something of herself. Why Leann and her army of haters have made it their mission in life to try and destroy Brandi I will never understand. You can not like somebody but to try and destroy their source of income and remark on their abilities as a Mother is wrong, wrong, wrong. If the shows didn’t involve somebody bringing on the drama, what are they gonna show for an hour. Photos of their mansions? Please. As far as the alcohol, every gathering every show has revolves around alcohol. Brandi isn’t doing anything any different than the rest of them. Oh, and whoever said they would rather see Taylor, watch Couples Therapy on VH1. She is a raging drunk throwing fits on there.

Til today, all I knew of Glanville was this site (love the famewhore love triangle), flipping though her book (expected much worse: it was actually kinda funny (if annoyingly hashtagged)), and short, blog video clips (surprised by the breathy baby voice–her written words/quotes made me assume her voice would be lower/less contrived, for some weird reason).
Basically, all I know of this woman is from casual (beloved) Celebitchy chat. I’m no fan, but came to assume that all her fangirls must see something on the show I never got. I trust the astute gossipers of Celebitchy, and just gave up wondering.
But her most recent comments are the worst, obviously, to everyone. So I finally googled clips, out of curiosity. Thus I have compiled:
LIFE LESSONS A BRANDI GLANVILLE NEWBIE HAS LEARNED (from a 2 min Google video search):
1) If all your sentences rise in pitch like questions, no one takes you seriously. You could be revealing the formula for a renewable alternative to oil, or the location of our errant dryer socks, but we would still loathe to listening to every word;
2) Repeating yourself louder and higher does not a valid argument make (exemption: cats demanding to lick every can you ever open);
3) A mean statement still sounds mean, even if you are smiling (see also: “No offense but…”; and “…but I was just joking!”);
4) I love swearing, man. I love, love, f*cking love it…but apparently a gal CAN take it too far;
5) If even half-drunk models are tense on camera, there is no hope for my ever appearing in a flattering video.
6) Dry-humping Arsenio Hall IS as bad an idea as it sounds. One would think that would be a given; one would be wrong.
So I still don’t get Brandi love, but MAN will I ever enjoy these threads more, now…

Several of my friends have already stopped watching because of Brandi. I can almost guarantee that if Brandi stays on, there will be no more RHOBH. I know I won’t be tuning in. I will miss Lisa but I’ll still see her on Vanderpump Rules. One or two of the others but the rest are already boring the daylight out of me. Brandi is a trainwreck, and don’t fool yourselves i to believing that people WANT to see this or that it’s ENTERTAINING. It’s amything but. Get rid of Brandi the racist drunk or you’ll risk losing ALL VIEWERS. you’ll see.
Hey Bravo: Have her take Carlton & her awful body/belief system/accent/sexual dysfunction with her mmmmkay? (used to be a fan of Brandi but she’s pissed on all of us, so no more)
I had all of the episodes shown so far on DVR. After watching just two, I deleted all of the remaining shows. So BORING!!
