Tori Spelling’s ‘heartbreak pays off’ with a new ‘broken marriage’ reality show

Tori Spelling

A few days ago, some photos surfaced of Tori Spelling looking “painfully thin.” To be honest, Tori doesn’t look any thinner than she does in the above photo (taken last fall). The new photos (you can see them here) are rather bizarre. They seem photoshopped. Look at the window next to Tori. The top half looks stretched out. Am I imagining things? These aren’t pictures from our agencies, and they look doctored.

It would make sense if Tori appeared in some manipulated photos just as she and Dean are trying mightily (ha!) to work on their marriage. If you couldn’t tell, I think Tori and Dean are completely full of crap at this point. I don’t see Dean as a ladies’ man and doubt he’s been getting it on with hot young things. I can believe that he whines about their sex life, and Tori puts up with it. They’ve had problems, but I don’t think they’ve ever been on the verge of splitting. Tori and Dean are tied together by their mutual desire to cash in on as much drama as possible. This week’s issue of Star says Tori’s “heartbreak pays off!” Basically they’re working on a new reality show. Surprise:

Tori Spelling has had a tough year. After husband Dean McDermott’s cheating scandal, his stint in rehab, losing her retail store and admitting to being broke, the actress is now determined to profit from her personal heartache. Her play? Pitch a new reality show and try out for VH1’s Couple’s Terapy.

“Tori would sell her soul to make money,” a friend tells Star. “She doesn’t mind airing her dirty laundry to get paid.” Indeed, Tori, 40, who welcomed Dean, 47, back home for one last chance, wants to base their new reality show on their broken marriage. “It would be them rebuilding their family after a crisis,” says the source. “They are thinking of calling it Tori & Dean: Coming Back to Life.” More like, Tori & Dean: Give It a Rest!.

[From Star, print edition, March 31, 2014]

Ugh, this sounds like a televised disaster. Who would want to watch Tori shopping for discount groceries with a grumpy Dean? I do think a lot of their problems have been either made up or substantially plumped up for the tabs. Team Tori has totally been feeding all of these cheating stories to the press, and they must sell because they keep on printing them. I’d never wish for a family to break up, but Dean is financial dead weight. He’s only with Tori for money and fame. Sadly, she seems fine with that. Will anyone watch this new show? Not me.

So she freaked out when her kids saw a tabloid story about their marriage once, but now she’ll put the whole mess on display on TV? Sure, I guess that wouldn’t be damaging to the kids at all!

    • blue marie says:

Isn’t this what she was hoping for though? I have no plans to watch.

    • ojulia123 says:

Wow – that’s a really good point! I hadn’t thought of that. At any rate, I will NOT be watching!

    • briargal says:

Horrors! Just the word “divorce” freaked Tori out and started her on the rant about her children seeing it and getting upset. But the “sex scandal” and rehab don’t seem to bother Tori at all! Anything for money!! Throw the kids out the window for MONEY!!

    • Ag says:

that was my first thought – they’re going to do this to their kids? awful.

  2. Christin says:

Drama for dollars, just like many suspected. I have no interest in watching.

  3. bns says:

Honestly, I hope they get another show. Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood was my guilty pleasure.

  4. Rhea says:

The only thing I ever watched from her was back in the good old BH 90210. Never interested enough to watch her reality show.

  5. NewWester says:

No one can say that Tori and Dean do not know how to use the media to their advantage. Many people may not agree with how Tori plays the “poor card” but she does appear to be a good mother and loves her children.

  6. MrsBPitt says:

They shoud call the new show…Tori and Dean, Fake a Break, for Money’s Sake!

  7. Belle Epoch says:

I’d rather have oral surgery than watch this. No redeeming value at all – just more TV cameras filming more media manipulation. If she had kicked him out it might have been slightly interesting. This is old wine in new bottles.

  8. MVD says:

Candy, please give Tori some money so her spendaholic a$$ can save some dignity!!

  9. JudyK says:

If they were truly in financial despair, it makes no sense at all to me that Candy would not help them out, especially for her grandchildren, if not for them.

Candy has so much moohlah that the $$$ wouldn’t even be missed.

    • Xas says:

According to many sources, Candy make equally trust deers to all her grandchildren and they can use it without Tori or Dean consent. Also, it’s not exactly as Tori is living on the street eating garbage. Come on people, she’s a grow up woman who took her terrible decisions, didn’t care for his father when he was close to death and didn’t care at all for her future. Tori is a legally a consenting adult and needs to take responbsability and actions.

Saying these advices only make worse and put Tori as a big pathetic little girl. She doesn’t deserve any pity. The parents can help the children, but they aren’t responsable for their lives when they are adults.

    • Nina W says:

Candy may have money but Tori defied her father and then he died, if her mother doesn’t feel like financing her now I can’t blame her.

  10. Skins says:

    What a pathetic “career”

  11. Wren says:

“She would sell her soul to make money.”

I think that ship has already sailed. And what, no ‘Tori’ name puns in the future show’s title? For shame!

    • JudyK says:

LOL. OMG, that got SO OLD.

    • Kiddo says:

      “Tori, I’m sori”
      “Tori is so poori”
      Tori, no one adore ye”
      “Your schtick is so snorey”
      “Go away, attention whorey”

Any of these work for ye?

      • MaiGirl says:

Ooh Ooh, I wanna play! I’ll do Dean:

        “Dean, control your peen!”
“Dean, your unemployment is NOT peachy keen!”
        “Dean, you’re a has-been!”
“Dean, respect your wife and childreen!”

        Awww yeah! 😀

    • Size Does Matter says:

Totally agree – ship long gone. How about Inside the TOR-nado? I still like BudgeTORI, too. But what is really like to see is: Tori & Dean: STFU Because Nobody’s Buying It Anymore, the mini mini mini series.

  12. Jaded says:

There once was a lady named Tori
Whose mother said “Money? No more-y !”
So she whores out her life as a cheated-on wife, and
Reveals her new lover for the story.

  13. MediaMaven says:

The images of her on Mail online are definitely Photoshopped, and not well. Looks like PMK has all of the good digital artists in her payroll…….

  14. briargal says:

Amazing how VH1 will be known as the “channel of losers”! Tori and Dean/LeAss and Eddie–their shows should be on an educational channel showing how NOT to start a relationship and pitfalls involved in disgusting luurrve! All four are really P A T H E T I C !!!

  15. kimberd says:

I dont watch reality tv or tv in general very much. Celebitchy is my guilty pleasure!! But im glad she left him. She needs an income and based on her life she doesnt have any employable skills except tv. I won’t bash her for this choice. It could end up being therapeutic the long run.

  16. skipper says:

When I get stressed out I lose my appetite and lose weight like crazy. Right now I’m at 88 lbs from stress. I understand what Tori is going through concerning stress and weight. I am not anorexic, I love food, but stress takes a major toll on your body. Some people gain and some lose.
