I know I’m a broken record on this, but I love Zahara Jolie-Pitt’s style. I love how she puts together her ensembles. I love that she’s not afraid of color, that she favors pinks and purples and teals, that she loves a good animal print or, failing that, something with an actual animal on it. I love that she cares about her footwear. And I’m into the fact that she digs sparkly Hello Kitty stuff.
Anyway, these are new photos of Angelina Jolie, Zahara and Maddox at LAX on Saturday. They flew in from London. Angelina must have left them in London while she and William Hague flew to Sarajevo for their awareness-raising campaign to end warzone rape and sexual violence. Incidentally, we have some new photos of Angelina and Hague in Bosnia too, which I’ll cover in a separate post tomorrow. Those photos are pretty dark – Angelina is crying in several of them, because she had been meeting with rape survivors. So, let’s hold off on them for another day, OK?
Right now I just want to look at these cute photos. Seriously, why can’t Zahara dress her mom? Angelina is basically wearing an oversized poncho, proving yet again that her style always defaults to “SACK.” You know what amuses me though? Look at the way Maddox is dressed – that’s how Angelina used to dress when she was in her early 20s. Maddox is the one who got his mom’s style (and Shiloh got Brad’s style). Maybe Maddox’ll grow into a love of sacks as well. Last thing: good God, Maddox has gotten tall!

Totally agree. Plus, on a long flight you want to be comfy. I dress similarly, especially when I travel. I’ve got a black, gray & white ombre-style poncho I wear with black skinny jeans and either black ankle boots or flats (depending on the weather) when I fly. Best travel ensemble ever.

I don’t know about you, but her hair looks exactly as I would expect it to after a 10+ hour plane ride from Europe to Los Angelies.
I meant lack of healthy glow, not her hair style. Hair looks dry. I noticed it because in previous pictures it was always looking healthy.
She is getting old (Just like me)!
I’ve been reading about the changes in your hair that occur at this age, and perhaps she doesn’t realize that it’s happening to her.
At least she has the money to have someone fix it once she realizes what’s going on.
Again … the woman just spent 10+ hours traveling from Europe to Los Angeles on a plane, and probably hadn’t shampooed her hair for a couple of days due to visiting refugee camps with Hague. I was talking about the condition of her hair, not any pampered hair style. Dirty hair doens’t have a glow.

I’m not jumping on you, but didn’t you consider what the woman has been doing for the past few days before determining that her hair is dead now because–at 38 years of age–she’s an old woman?
She has the poncho in Black too. I love it actually. Especially for traveling.
I don’t get the “sack” thing all the time. She has been wearing very form fitting clothing; especially since her surgery. That has been 2 years now. So going back to the “sack” is just trying to label something else about her. Nothing wrong with her outfit at all. Very chic and comfortable. And as I said it is especially appropriate for a 11-12 hour International flight. She looks good considering how long they were in flight.
Obviously unlike what she is constantly accused of she AND BRAD.. because their children have 2 PARENTS; allow their children to wear what they want to wear. Wow just like most parents.

I normally don’t wade into Brangelina comments because the sides are both extreme, but COME ON!! That is a sack. Even Angelina can’t make it look good.
This is a really nice shirt. A lot of celebrity women wear these kind of shirts and sweaters. They never get criticized for wearing it. I don’t know why any time Angelina doesn’t wear something skin tight it’s considered a sack. Most of the time it’s not deserved.

Angelina is stunning and can wear anything and still look gorgeous. She dresses appropriately whenever she has to – red carpets, photoshoots, travelling and visiting various countries and respecting their culture.

I love everything about this outfit, the poncho, the flats. I would this everyday if I could. I’m all about comfort but without looking sloppy, like wearing sweatpants and Uggs, yes Britney, I’m looking at you.

My husband was on both of her flights to and from LAX/Heathrow this week-and he was so useless about information! “Yes, I heard some actress was on with her kids and everyone was talking about them. I didn’t pay attention. I just wanted to sleep.”

I think it’s because he grew up in LA so he really doesn’t think celebrities are a big deal. He’ll talk about stars from the 60s and 70s who lived down the street or whose kids went to his school-he doesn’t get the hype.
Ha, my husband was once in LA on business and Heidi Klum was at the table next to them at dinner one night. I thought he too might not have much to say but when I asked him how she looked he said “Smokin’ hot, way hotter than on TV or in print.” So he was clearly not oblivious!
Dear Gawd! My husband is the same way! Many years ago he said he noticed “those Wilson brothers” (Luke and Owen Wilson) while we jogged Town Lake (Austin) and didn’t mention to tell me until we were in the car DRIVING HOME!!! He said he didn’t want to make it obvious! I must mention that I am a huge Wes Anderson fan.
I like how Brad & Angelina so obviously allow the kids to express themselves, choose their own style. B&A may favor black/gray, etc, but you don’t see them forcing their kids to wear what they choose. Z & Vivi wear colors and outfits neither mom nor Shiloh would ever touch.
It distresses me when I hear that Kanye is already controlling poor North’s wardrobe. If it’s true, it’s f’d up!
North can not choose her own clothes yet. At this age you wear whatever your parents choose.

I like the “sack,” it looks perfect for traveling. It’s not like she’s dressed for the red carpet or an special event. I gave that flowy cream/white pantsuit she recently wore a serious side eye because it was pretty frumpy but this look is both chic and comfy.

I would totally wear that poncho. I have a few sweaters similar to that. They are so comfy and look cute with leggings and boots.
If I had her build, I would wear ‘sack’ clothing all the time. I dress for comfort, and I hate wearing pants/jeans or form-fitting clothes. As soon as I get home, I throw off whatever I had on and immediately climb into sweats/lounge clothes/PJs/whatever. It’s literally the first thing I do after setting down my purse. If I were to wear really big, thick tops like Angie does, it would look highly unflattering and make me look shorter than I already am… I envy that. I really love her airport style.
Me too. First thing I do when I go home is change into comfort clothes. My cats used to wait at the door when they heard me come home and I would blow right by them while greeting them, on my way to change. Now they wait in my room for me.
I’d wear that on a long flight, too. It looks comfortable as hell! Good for her.

Angie has her own style. She likes it. She doesn’t seem to care if others don’t. And she doesn’t feel the need to dress in every new trend. Thing is when she is on a RC her look is most talked about. She was on the cover of so many magazines after the Oscars. In truth she was Brad’s +1.. not nominated; not in a film. But she was the talk same with every RC look.
So whatever she is doing she is doing it very well.

I was expecting much worse from the sack title. lol I like it. I mean she’s not wearing sack pants with it. It’s juxtaposed with the skinnies and looks pretty comfortable for a flight.
I can relate actually. Angelina dresses similarly to the way that I do. I love comfort and simple clothing. To me she looks chic while remaining age appropriate as well. She’s not a try-hard and remains true to herself. However, I do think it would be cute if she allowed Zahara to style her for one day! Her kids are adorable. I love how they look so “thrilled” to see the paps!

Am I really the only one here who thinks that last year’s ‘leg’ infamy was directed by Ms. Zee? I really thought it when Angie came on stage to make a presentation, got to the mic and then almost as an afterthought put a hand on her hips and stuck out the leg. I truly do think Zahara told her “Mommy you have to put your hand on your hip like this and stick your leg out. That’s what the models do.” 🙂
I really hope her kids go on to college and forge their own paths — those stories about Maddox wanting to act. I just don’t think that would work out for him… sorry to say.
Speaking of college, do they have tutors travelling with the kids? Seems to me that’s the only way to make this peripatetic lifestyle work.

They have tutors, and they also have their kids in this school that has a bunch of them all over the world, doing the exact same work…don’t know what it’s called. Basically, they can go to school in LA, then go to France in the spring if their parents have to work–while still going to the school, but in France–, and if they’re somewhere where the school isn’t, then they bring tutors.
I still can’t believe that a ton of people just think that their kids don’t go to school i.e. have any schooling at all. Not everyone goes to a traditional classroom.

They have moved away from the school the kids were in. Brad said in an print interview that they were looking at Home schooling full time. They Homeschool now.. just like Millions of parents all over the world. Brad said in an interview for TYAS that the kids have a school house I guess on the property. He and the other cast were asked a question about their kids going to school talking about what their parents do; and Brad said their children are home schooled and he just has to look over at the other building to see them.
the people that think their children don’t go to school and are being denied and education are really dumb. These are wealthy very fortunate people. Both of which were educated. Why anyone with a working brain thinks they are not going to educate their children is just NO WORDS. Brad and Angie don’t live in some freaking cave. Beside children that are home schooled can complete a day in a few hours and then do other activities; something both Brad and Angie have said the children do.
Where do I get that sack? I love it. It’s much nicer than Gisele’s IMO.
