These are photos from the Cannes photocall of The Salvation, starring Mads Mikkelsen, Eva Green, and Jeffrey Dean Morgan. Mads has received a good dose of love here for his Hannibal appearance, which is always polished and impossibly sexy. I’ve been disappointed to see how he grooms himself when left to his own devices. Couldn’t the dude wash his hair for this photocall? He’s wearing jeans and a casual button-down shirt while Jeffrey pulled out the stops in a classy jacket, vest, and freshly creased pants. Mads looks an utter mess with unkempt facial hair, but Jeffrey has his salt-and-pepper in order. Mads does look pleased with himself, which counts for something. Would I still hit it? After a shower and moisturizing session, yeah probably.
Eva Green looked fantastic at the photocall. She wore a black Elie Saab jumpsuit and walked around looking like a mysterious vision. This is how one dresses for a photocall.
Mads didn’t look any better at the premiere (see below), so I’ll focus on Eva instead. She wore another Elie Saab look, this time opting for a long red couture gown. This look is very much “Eva” — witchy, mysterious, and deathly beautiful. This dress would overwhelm any other actress, but it works well here.

Mads is so yum and I say that after seeing him in “A Royal Affair” which is a Danish period film thats on netflix. Not a fan of the grey in the photos at Cannes but its all good.
Eva Green looks lovely as always. Not so much a fan of her new show Penny Dreadful…its really weird.
I know it’s her trademark, but Green should lay off her heavy-handed eye make-up. She looks like a deranged panda. Love Mad no matter what.
I was about to say the same thing about Eva. Seeing her in Penny Dreadful without all her heavy eye makeup is something else, she looks lovely without it.
I prefer Mads when he has a nice clean, sharp look.

Wow Jeffery Dean Morgan has aged in a terrible way over the last couple of years. And I’m not seeing what you’re saying about Mads. His hair looks wet to me……not dirty.

@Kali, I think you might be right. I read somewhere that he is pretty much the antithesis of Hannibal (fashion-wise) off-screen. I think he’s wonderful. I like how you put it, “he comes across as a guy who just has no f%^*s to give in the more positive sense of the word.” He strikes me as someone who has his priorities in order, and is quite happy with his life. 🙂
I knew it was coming from having read the books, but that scene with Mason Verger was hands down the most horrific thing I’ve seen on TV. I had to cover my eyes through most of it :S. As always, Hannibal is an INCREDIBLE show and Mads is excellent in it but yeah, he does look a little old and rough here! They make him look so pretty on TV.

I don’t know, I never understood the hype over Eva Greens looks. She has a unique face, but not what I’d call beautiful. Too pale and gothy for me. But it could be the 5 pounds of black eyeliner she always wears.

My BF owns a bar, Mads is a regular there when he’s filming Hannibal in Toronto.

Duchess – He is not here at the moment, filming ended back in end of Feb – early Mar (can’t remember). I’m not sure when filming starts again, but when it does, I’ll be sure to let you know and I’ll def say hi when he comes in.

Of course,mads is always sexy!! Surprised Eva green doesn’t have a bigge career, she is charismatic, beautiful. unique looking, decent actress and sexier than most of the beige Hollywood starlets.
