Chrissy Teigen walked the red carpet at last night’s Billboard awards with husband John Legend. John stuck to his usual classic suit, but Chrissy decided to make it a costume night. She wore a very dramatic design from Fyodor Golan. My first thought when seeing these photos was “Statement dress. Statement bangs.” I’ll give Chrissy credit though — she did away with the statement necklace that arrived with the the runway look.
This whole look is an eyeful. I keep trying to imagine how this mini dress would have looked in white without the giant Rorshach blot that mated with Johnny Depp’s dead bird headpiece. It would have been boring. Likewise with a simple updo. Chrissy went for the unexpected with a thick fringe. It’s not the best hair look for her, but it suits the dress. I did fear that those were not clip-ons because the bang highlights match her hair highlights perfectly. It is a wig. None of this is real. Hurrah!
Chrissy knew this experiment may not go over well with the masses, right? You can tell from her facial expression. She’s so funny.
Shakira didn’t stray from her usual gaudy fashion sense in Julien Macdonald. This dress takes the sheer paneling trend to an extreme. The color is gorgeous, but the effect is marred by all the “nude” patterned cutouts. This dress would have been fantastic in a solid fabric. The side view is worse. Hi, Gerard Pique.
Amber Rose wore a sleep mask on the red carpet. Wait, no. This is her take on the Daft Punk helmets. Are those sunglasses? Well, her simple black suit looks nice.
Natasha Bedingfield looks like she stepped out of a 1990s candy shop. This could have been a fun look with a flirty little skirt, but those white capri pants and bejeweled silver sandals are disastrous.

She’s been in dire need of bangs, but my memo should have been more succinct – slightly shorter bangs…otherwise the dress is interesting but doesn’t suit her personality, but her body is beautiful and the short length looks great.
Agreed. I also think she’s simply gorgeous in darker hair. I’m not a fan of her orangey hair right now.
I totally LOVE Chrissy, she’s funny and authentic, doesn’t mind talking about herself…..and she’s happily married to wonderful John Legend; however……THIS dress is not a good look for anyone….wow. I’m not sure what kind of a statement she’s trying to make, or why, but normally, she’s good in the clothing department.
I thought that was the iron throne on her dress.

Chrissy Tiegen’s dress is interesting, but I think it would have been better served in a solid colour so that you can really appreciate the folds of the fabric. Also maybe just a wee bit longer.
Shakira should have worn gold or nude shoes instead of those heavy, hoof-like black platforms, which I feel are so passé but clearly people still wear them if they are tiny like she is. Her man is a babe. I wold totally hit that. Not that anyone asked.
Amber Rose continues to try and get our attention, and continues to fall short. I admit here that although I know who she is from celebrity photo ops, I have no clue what she does, even after all this time. You know why? Because I am not interested in taking the 3 seconds it would take me to find out. Enough said.
NAtasha Beddingfield. Styled to DEATH. Pick one of those things. I would have chosen the shoes and done away with the rest. Love me a pair of Valentino Rockstud shoes….but not worn like that. Give them the respect they deserve and pair them with a solid sheath. Let them sing, girl. You of all people should appreciate that.

Chrissy Teigen never looks all that great to me but she definitely suits her soft, wavy hairstyle more than poker straight w/ bangs. I actually think Shakira looks great imo her style is more fun than gaudy.
I can’t imagine anyone clipping that flap of bangs in and thinking, “Yep! I’m good to go!” These are the bangs that give light, wispy, fringed bangs a bad rep.
Thank god it was a wig, because the bangs look really awful. So does the dress.
Noone looked really good. This always amazes me: that people with so much money, access and stylists on hand still manage to look so bad.
I think if Chrissy had a bit softer bangs, she’d be good to go.

Ugh! Those bangs look horrible. She should have gone for shorter and less thick. She has a stunning body but that forehead needs some covering.
Also! Shakira’s husband looks like a 15-year old gigolo next to her. I don’t see the appeal. His look doesn’t scream “SMART!” either.

I saw Chrissy whatshername and I found her cheeks really distracting. I don’t know whether she has naturally high cheek bones but one looked bigger than the other and they looked kinda fake. Am I wrong, I didn’t know who she was.
Music awards are more fun and avant garde than movie award red carpets. I love the deviations from standard red-carpet fashion at these things. Not everyone needs to be in a regal event dress. 😛

She is tryhard. Super tryhard.
She is more well known for a joke about domestic violence, vagberries, and claiming she eats a lot (and i’m sure for a model she does), but most is small portioned and liquid form.
Outisde of that not much. She has a odd or uncommon look to her so she stands out in that way.
I’m no fan and can’t really understand how she has any.

Chrissy Teigen is famous for being famous. The hair is so dreadful; what was she thinking? She’s always trying to show how outrageous, funny, and liberal she is. I find her unattractive and her comments really trashy.

I have lost all respect for this man given his marriage to a woman who shows him little to no respect. From the “on the floor tactics” at their wedding to her revealing intimate details of what they do in public, I find her to be uncouth and somewhat dim witted. He says it is her expressing her playfulness and uniqueness. Right. What perhaps bothers me more than anything else is he would NEVER EVER have accepted crap like this from a woman of African descent.
