Amal Alamuddin’s London street style includes lace crop-tops: dated or cute?

FFN_Alamuddin_Amal_FFUK_061314_51449935

Amal Alamuddin possibly has the thinnest hips I’ve ever seen on a woman. I thought Duchess Kate had narrow hips! But Kate looks positively voluptuous compared to Amal. These are some street-style photos of Amal, out and about in London today. According to Fame/Flynet, Amal grabbed a coffee and went to get a facial. Typical Friday for an in-demand lawyer?

As for her casual-wear… I’ve been saying this for the past month, but casual-wear is not her wheelhouse. She looks good-to-great in professional clothes, wearing charmingly bright jewel tones and great, cute suits and dresses that can sometimes look a bit cloying, but overall… pretty decent. But her casual-wear is littered with terrible boyfriend jeans, fug shoes and, as we can now see, lacy crop tops and gold flip-flops. I actually can’t hate on the flip-flops. I have an identical pair. I wonder if Amal got hers at Old Navy too?

Meanwhile, there are some mixed reports about Amal’s appearance at yesterday’s Global Summit to End Sexual Violence in Conflict. As I said yesterday, the Telegraph (and other UK outlets) reported that Amal didn’t sit with the cool kids, William Hague and Brangelina. But some other outlets now claim that she did meet Angelina yesterday? I still don’t know.

  1. Abbott says:

Does she have security with her but they’re just staying out of the pap shots?

    • Original Tessa says:

Why in the world would she need security? The only people that care who she is are the paparazzi, and she doesn’t seem to mind their presence.

      • Abbott says:

I mean, she’s engaged to one of the biggest stars on the planet. It was an honest question: does she have security?

    • Arch says:

We’re so used to ‘famous’ people in London, literally no one would bat an eyelid. I walked into Keira Knightley the other week and didnt even realise it was her until I thought about it afterwards.

  2. Ollyholly says:

Well I like the outfit, and I know I’m in London now, and it is SO SO SO HOT. I am dying.

    • Juliette says:

That top is from Zara. I have it and I love the top, but I usually pair it with high-waisted pants or a high-waisted long skirt.

      • Sabrine says:

Poor thing. She can’t even go out in public now without everything she wears and even her actual body that she was born with being ripped to shreds with criticism. It really runs the gamut – she has no hips; she needs to get to a gym; she has “terrifying” toes; she looks like an adolescent boy; her pants are hideous; she looks anorexic. Judging by her non-smiling face, she has not been immune to the comments. Ultimately, as she grows a thicker skin she will grow stronger and be able to ignore the nasty comments written about her. She must think George is worth it and hopefully he will be.

    • Jayna says:

I think I read this week that today was going to be a blistering hot day in the UK.

      • word says:

A hot day in the UK? I have visited the UK many times and am going again next May and it’s almost always been cold and rainy there lol. It’s hard to believe it actually gets “hot” there. I did spend an entire summer there once where the sun actually came out…it was so nice ! The temp was perfect but I wouldn’t have called it “hot”.

      • Amy Tennant says:

I went in the summer many years ago, and we were told to bring long-sleeved shirts and even sweatshirts etc. It turned out to be the hottest summer on record, and we were all rushing out to buy t-shirts. Now was it Georgia USA-hot? Not really, but it was pretty darn warm.

      • me says:

        @ Em

LOL 70 degrees? That’s spring weather. “Blistering hot” would be more around 90 degrees. I know for the Brits, they can’t take the heat but God forbid it ever reached 90 degrees there, what would they do?

      • Lady D says:

My son’s friend met a guy online from Georgia, who she invited for a visit. He came to the interior of British Columbia in July with mittens, toques, and sweaters. It hits triple digits regularly here in the summer (yes!) He said his mom bought them for his trip to the ‘Great White North.’ Poor kid was hot. We went shopping, then swimming.

      • kellie says:

yes, its been 80s esque already this year. and the lack of AC is a hard thing to deal with in cities.
I was in the UK last year during the heatwave and it was nearly 90 for a week. It was a tough row to hoe, let me tell you. And they have always been weird about ice cubes-they treat them like they are a commodity.

I was also there 10 years ago when the hottest summer ever was going on. I was going into Baker Street tube station and a guy made it out to the entrance on the sidewalk and puked. I took the bus.

      • Nighty says:

Here in my country (Portugal) is a nice 100F ..give or take… don’t even go out on the street…

    • Amy Tennant says:

It is cute. Reminds me of something I’d have worn in college

      • homegrrrl says:

I was thinking the same thing. I wore outfits -exactly- like this in college, because I was broke, and emaciated. I would come home and raid my-little sister’s closet-. I wore her sz 12 floral gap jeans, and I loved them because I was a vegan stoner. Ahh, the 90’s and ironic trendy clothing went well with a bit of LSD,THC, and a bit university level poetry courses on the side!

      • heebeegeebee says:

Yes, she is a 36 year old educated professional with an awesome figure, why does she dress like a 16 year old?? I am not saying she should dress like a frump either but something seems really off.

    • Cait says:

What is hot in London? It was about 35 degrees Celsius in New Orleans yesterday. 😉

      • LAK says:

It’s been 25-27 celsius which for London is scorching.

      • Cait says:

Ahh, gotcha. To me that’s breezy and temperate.

      • Lucky Charm says:

I just looked up the conversion – 35 Celsius is 95 degrees Farenheit, which is BLISTERINGLY HOT where I live! Anything over 80F is considered too hot, especially since few homes and not all businesses have AC. On the other hand, it’s quite funny to see the tourists and transplants all bundled up in sweaters and coats when it’s 65 degrees outside, and we’re all running around in short sleeves and flip flops. 🙂

      • Ronia says:

I always go to London from May on till July and all the times June has been quite hot for me actually. It’s not only the temprature, the humidity, the smog, even the cloudy cover change the feeling.

      • wonderwoman21 says:

It was 104 Fahrenheit here in southern Arizona today; and that’s not as hot as it gets lol.

      • Nighty says:

        Oh God… 25C?? That’s wonderful temperatures.. here 100F..

      • BestJess says:

Melbourne summers are regularly triple digit (speaking in Farenheit) I think 114 was our hottest this last summer. I love the heat in Melbourne but would find a temperature that feels mild and spring like in Melbourne uncomfortably hot in London. I travel a lot between Oz & the UK and the same goes for winter. In Australia everywhere has air-con, that’s not the case in the UK, in the UK almost everyone has double glazing, not so in Australia. So how comfortable the temperature feels isn’t just what you’re used to but what the environment you’re in is built for.

    • jesssayin says:

I agree, she looks amazing mostly always and a lot has to do with this effortless, confidence she carries herself with.

    • Ronia says:

Absolutely. Lace is feminine and elegant, gentle and very summery. Besides, one can wear lace which costs a lot! It can be unique on its own. Not that this one is but it’s still lovely and elegant.

      • Kosmos says:

She looks great in the lace top. What’s not to like? She has a great slim figure and can wear almost anything. She has great taste in clothing, too. She’s only 36, not 56, and she can still get away with a little crop top look, especially with the flat stomach….why do people give her such a hard time? She has a good eye for clothing and wears simple yet chic outfits. This one is very casual, still very cute and fits perfectly within her body type.

  3. Girl needs to get to the gym and do some squats quick, before those pants end up around her ankles…

    • TheOriginalKitten says:

Yeah she’s built very similar to myself-tiny booty.

Recently I started running again after being sidelined by injury and I decided to keep up with the weight-training so that I don’t lose too much weight. TONS and TONS of squats, bridges, leg raises, lunges, etc have allowed me to keep a bit of a “pop” back there.

On topic-that outfit is a atrocious and should be stuffed in a large trashcan, lit on fire, and then tossed into a ravine.

      • Kiddo says:

On topic-that outfit is a atrocious and should be stuffed in a large trashcan, lit on fire, and then tossed into a ravine.

Especially those pants. I have always hated the ‘precious’ printed jeans. They look okay on toddlers and small children and that’s about it.

PS: Her toes in those shoes are terrifying me.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Little kitten has a tiny booty. Lol. I don’t know why, that seems so cute to me. My husband has a tiny booty, and he races sailboats, and they make these shorts with pads in the rear but even with them in, he has a little behind. I love it. I, on the other hand, um, do not have trouble keeping the pants up. Have you tried barre? That gives you a nice, round bottom, and lifts it up. I don’t know if it would be good for your ankles, though. Lots of tip toe.

Can you tell I’m rambling? I have to go weed this public garden, and I don’t want to go. So I’m just talking more and more. Did I ever tell you about the time… Oh, ok, I’ll shut it.

      • Kiddo says:

@GoodNamesAllTaken, Weeding is good for the soul?

      • mimif says:

Weeding is totally good for the soul. And I’m buying you those pants for your birthday, Kiddo.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Weeding shrivels the soul. If only it had shriveled my big mouth before I said I’d do it.

Oh, hey, it looks like rain. Maybe. Cough cough, I’m not sure I feel so well…

      • mimif says:

Oh whoops, I was talking about a different kind of weeding. Cough. Tell them weeds are necessary for the beneficial insects to hide out in. Do it! They won’t know what hit them.

      • TheOriginalKitten says:

On Last Comic Standing some guy had a set about his foot fetish and how disappointing it is when all the toes look great then the pinky toe looks like a smoked cigarette. But yeah, Amal’s feet are not something I wanna see right now. Or ever.

        @Goodnames–http://img.pandawhale.com/post-18996-Grumpy-Cat-gardening-meme–the-QJxm.jpeg

Let’s smoke weed instead of weeding and then drink mimosas instead of weeding. Weeding is too much work for a Friday.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Oh, lol, I’m so slow. Yes, weeding is fun with you guys and mimosas. I’m already back. That’s how hard it was. I spent the whole morning dreading it and it took like 35 minutes. Such a loser.

      • Kiddo says:

Good @mimif, when I embark on destroying your village, I will set them ablaze atop a flag pole, as a symbol of destruction before I enter town..lol

      • FLORC says:

Sorry to hear that Kitten. Recently recovered from a broken leg and getting back into cardio/running. Sympathies!

And did you find the squats helped you get a butt? I know some ladies that do them and have bottoms that are just as flat as Keiras chest (their words).

    • kri says:

George’s ankles must slide right off. (Totally plagiarized that from someone on an old thread, but I don’t care-I had to.)

  4. ToodySezHey says:

    Long hair don’t care

  5. Lotta says:

I like it. If I was thin like her I would wear it too. I’m thin but my hips are too wide.

    • MollyB says:

I think this would look way better on someone with wider hips. Those pants look like luck is holding them up at this point.

    • kibbles says:

I’d rather have wide hips than no hips at all.

  6. Jayna says:

I like that she has her own style. Nobody is allowed to be unique anymore. Her casual style is quirky, and I like that. It may not be for everybody, but at least she doesn’t look like everybody else. I love that top. She looks good.

    • wolfpup says:

      +1

    • MollyB says:

I agree–if we were talking about a starlet or other creative type. But Amal is a high-profile human rights lawyer and but her off-work styling is a bit immature. I saw pictures of her a few weeks ago in flowered shorts and a bejeweled Hello Kitty t-shirt. Maybe it’s judgmental but I expect a high profile, professional adult woman to show a little more mature styling.

      • hmmm says:

She was not a high profile lawyer. She is, however, a high profile fiancee now.

      • Emma13 says:

I said something similar below, before I read your comment. I agree 100%

      • HH says:

That’s my issue. I don’t really like her style at all, casual or professional, but her professional style is age appropriate. I lot of the things she wears casually are more appropriate for someone in their teens or early 20s.

      • Lela says:

Oh shut up. She’s young and hot. 36 is not old and just because you’ve thrown in the towel doesn’t mean the rest of the world should to make you feel better. I’m assuming you’re dowdy and old.

PS I’m in my 20s so this isn’t personal

      • Tolva says:

HH I agree, her style is not great. She looks a bit tranny in some of the clothes she wears on her body type.

    • vava says:

I think she looks great. Cute figure, love the top.

    • Jen says:

lol her style isn’t unique. That’s an outfit that every teenager in Forever 21 wears.

      • FLORC says:

        Agree.
But Clooney loves his ladies with poor style and makes them over later.
Amal was busy being really smart and building herself a career. She gets slack for not having a great style. Still… This outfit is awful. She has a great body, but that doesnt mean she can wear clearn heels to work or dress like she shops at forever 21/Old Navy, etc..
And I shop at this stores too, but I manage to look better than this.

    • pru says:

I think the top is cute and she looks very comfortable. I do think it’s hitting her in the wrong place and making her waist look a bit long.

  7. Allie says:

She has great hair. That’s the nicest thing I have to say about her.

  8. LadyMTL says:

There’s something about her feet in that first pic that’s freaking me out…maybe the shoes are too small? IDK, me no like.

    • marjalane says:

She has weird toe syndrome- that second one looks like a finger. I think she has some kind of a, “This is what a movie star wears” fixation. Even Stacy Keibler had better casual style.

  9. Tiffany says:

I don’t know much about her or seen pictures before she got with Clooney. But was that always her body structure or has she gotten thinner since the paps started following her,

    • nora says:

the first picture I saw of her or she wears the red dress she has a lot more shape
I do not know if this is the mediatic pressure or the pressure of her fiancé she lost a few pounds but it’s a shame, it’s rare that oriantales woman is naturally thin ausi (I’m from Morocco)
      otherwise it has beautiful hair
saying all this I think that it does not have to be obvious to be under the light because most of these women end up much diet (Princess Letizia, Kate +all the actress)

  10. TheCountess says:

I feel like either piece would work better paired with something else, but together the look just screams “Forever 21” to me.

    • Kiddo says:

I hate those pants with a raging passion.

    • GIRLFACE says:

I agree-first thought was Forever 21. Dare I say she’s too old for this outfit? I think it would be adorable on a 17 year old.

    • minime says:

I so much dislike that top. I know that crop tops are in revival from the 80’s but please, if your not in your teens or going to the beach, this is not for you! There, I said it. Now I can be called a 30 year old-fart but I stick with it 🙂

    • Emma13 says:

Yes! Maybe I’m being judgmental, but when you have a high-profile type of job like hers I would expect the casual style to not be so…. juvenile. I’m about to start my professional career at age 24 (graduate in December with my masters) and I can’t picture myself or any of my peers wearing this after hours. If I ran into a client with that outfit on I would be embarrassed, but like I said maybe I’m just a judgmental bitch.

  11. redd says:

This does NOT look good naked.
    Unless you like adolescent boys.
    Sorry, George.

  12. Paula says:

I’m not commenting on shape/size – but what’s with the chicken wing/elbow pose – just screams annoying to me when people attempt to look casual and you can just tell is obviously posing for the cameras

    • pinns says:

Exactly!! Totally unnatural posture, it would hurt to hold your elbows back like this for any length of time.
Maybe she forgot to shave her ‘pits, or the heat has made her sweaty and she doesn’t want a ‘circle of shame’ on her pap photo?
Either way she looks very awkward!

      • pinns says:

Just noticed even in the before-coffee pics she has her arms jammed down at her sides, so I think definitely pit-sweat related…
        Sorry for double commenting!

      • Arbee says:

Actually, I am skinny with knobby elbows and I hold myself like that (not on purpose). Someone pointed it out to me when I was 13 and I started consciously trying to change it. It’s not painful at all. Keira Knightley is another person who carries herself like that. I don’t think this is a look people go for. It comes with a certain body type.

  13. Size Does Matter says:

She looks like that episode of Sex and the City where casual Friday went horribly wrong for Miranda’s coworkers. Lawyers shouldn’t wear flip flops and crop tops to the office. Hopefully it’s her day off.

    • Juliette says:

Many law firms in the city where I work have “summer Fridays” which entail casual work clothes and early end to the work week. Usually the offices are cleared out by 3 pm.

      • Jayna says:

They don’t wear crop tops and flip flops, though. But that’s beside the point. She’s obviously not at work.

    • Rhiley says:

I think she looks like Amy Winehouse (RIP).

  14. Samtha says:

If the pants fit her better, the outfit would be okay.

  15. TX says:

@Kaiser- Old Navy flip are my favorite! They’re great quality (as far as rubber flips go..) and 2 for $5 cannot be beat!

  16. Cecilia says:

I don’t know much about Amal, but going from pics, I find her style very fun & almost whimsical. She is not a fan of trends. She knows what she likes & goes with it. I have to admit though, I am still suspicious of this whole coupling/contract.

  17. Tulip says:

The lace top is pretty. But she looks anorexic. If anyone can reassure me that this is just a body type I’m not used to seeing, that would be great (the thighs are the most stick- like I’ve seen in a while).

    • Jayna says:

When did everyone thin become anorexic now? That’s the go-to remark these days for a slender woman.

    • Tulip says:

      @EM

Thanks for the reassurance. And yeah,it is good to get out of work clothes, I just think work takes up most of our time, that to see what we wear off the clock is a bit of a shock to most. Sort of like being 7 years old and seeing your teacher in sweat pants at the grocery store. But it’s funny how it still carries over to adult ages too.

  18. Erandyn says:

    Mutton dressed as lamb.

  19. melain says:

She seems to have very quickly taken to the daily pap walk lifestyle. Her hair and makeup are so Hollywood now. I’m sure all of that takes time to organize. I bet Julian Asange and her other former clients have working attorneys, because she appears to be busy with other things. I’m guessing she’s still with the firm though. They couldn’t buy this kind of global press.

    • Beatrice says:

Totally agree–she’s getting to be a pro at the pap walk in full hair and makeup glory. This is not some random outfit. I’m guessing it was pulled by a stylist. I actually like it, too. Wish I had the abs to wear that top!!

  20. Alexis says:

I think she looks awful. Her style is terrible and she really doesn’t look like she’s meant to be that thin.

  21. qtpi says:

Yes I would like to know if she has security around her. Our jeweler was recently cleaning my ring and we got to talking about the Clooney engagement. He said he had a client that had a stone that was similar but a little smaller. She was in Paris and getting into her car and a man jumped in behind her and attempted to pull the ring off her finger. He didn’t get it but it surely scared her to death (and was probably quite painful!). I would only want such a large stone if we had an exact fake duplicate to wear in public, on vacations, etc.

  22. Lora says:

Whats up with her feet? Anyone else notice it?

  23. Hissyfit says:

I’m not concerned about the shape of her body because i’ve always been on the slim slide. It doesn’t mean we’re anorexic and it doesn’t make us unhealthy or less stronger than the “average” size people. Some of us are just naturally thin no matter how much we eat or try to gain weight. It all goes in the face and the stomach. Never the limbs, atleast not for me.

I’m more concerned with the outfit. It looks cute for teens to early 20s but for older women? No. It’s tacky. If I didn’t know she’s a lawyer and somebody would tell me that she is, I will never believe it. Lol.

  24. B says:

I think she looks pretty… also am kind of chuckling about Kaiser’s comment, because I have bronze, silver and gold flip-flops exactly like that from Old Navy!

  25. Elan says:

That outfit would have looked good on a teenager.

  26. NN says:

How do people want or expect her to dress on her ‘off’ time? Not all women over the age of 30 want to dress in Anne Taylor or wear power suits.

  27. Daffy says:

She has lost a lot of weight since their first date in Nov. Her ‘thinification’ (like all George’s ex-gf) goes too far, imo. Her body looks more and more like an adolescent boy’s – no curves (not a good thing). And her toes…ewww. Her style is too immature- good on a teenager but not on a 36 woman.

  28. Addie says:

I’d personally love to know how she gets days off for grabbing a coffee and a facial. Most high powered lawyers I know are overcome with long days of billable hours of work. LOL. When I worked in a firm ( all though it was architecture) I felt guilty taking time for the dentist.
Something about her seems a bit removed from the work world.

  29. Miss M says:

She is looking more and more like the Italian Queen.

  30. AG-UK says:

I am in London too I guess it’s boiling for English people but for my southern blood it’s only spring like. She is tiny anyway but seems tinier from before. I guess the thrill is gone no happy smiley faces, don’t blame her but that’s what she signed up for I guess.

  31. Mixtape says:

Meh… she can wear whatever she wants, but I’m already bored with her.

  32. AMD says:

I like the outfit, but nothing looks great on her. The only beautiful thing on her is her hair. Some of his other girlfriends look waaaaay better than her- even Elisabetta(sp) got her on looks and figure and Elisabetta was considered the lowest of his girls.

She’s smart so I guess that will take up for her unattractiveness.

    • Tolva says:

I agree, this lady is quite average looking. I really think the accolades are more for her education or career. I can’t even see how George is physical with her, but I never picked that vibe up from GC. Is this one of those publicists arranged romances?
      Her body is terrible.

  33. aqua says:

She looks fine. She’s wearing what she like and what she’s comfortable in.Isn’t that how most of us dress in our down time?

  34. JudyK says:

She’s beautiful, slim, and young and looks adorable in that outfit. Love that her crop top is a longer version than KK(W) wears.

It appears to me that she will soon grow weary of pap attention…another reason I like her.

  35. fan says:

I don’t understand why so many people hate on what she wears. She looks great in my opinion, and she should be allowed to wear what she wants without getting criticism for every little thing just because she happens to have a famous fiancé. Are we really sitting here and bothering to criticize this woman’s toes?! Is that really happening?

  36. Dorotea says:

    I think she looks great!

  37. Jaana says:

I like the fact that she is a professional woman, but I must say that i am not a fan of this outfit. She could have went for something more chic, as well as clothes that fits her properly. Where is George’s team of stylist to give her the usual Hollywood makeover his girls usually get? I’m having a hard time believing this relationship is born out of his love for her and not because he is going into politics. I’m not trying to be mean be she is way homely compared to ALL the women he’s dated.

  38. Penelope says:

The top is cute and the sunglasses are cute but together they’re too cute.

  39. DogMom says:

Because I can’t bring myself to comment on her clothes or career for the billionth time, I find that when she isn’t ‘on’ ie: mugging for the paps or engaged in a conversation she has a very bitchy look to her. Folks have told me I look pissed when I’m walking through the office (although I was quite content in my own thoughts) so I’m not saying anything is particularly troubling or upsetting her. But I do find her photos either ‘on and happy’ or ‘off and bitchy’.

    • Isadora says:

When she is smiling people say she is loving the attention and calling the paps and whatnot. When she is not smiling people say she is “off and bitchy”. She can’t do it right. Maybe she has a bitchy resting face and tries to compensate with smiling but it got too much lately, who knows.

  40. ElleGin says:

I don’t think it’s okay to be commenting on her figure. It’s just as bad as fat-shaming. She’s thin, yes. She has a “boyish” figure, sure, but that doesn’t make it right for others to say mean things about her figure.

    • Tolva says:

I do. How often is every other celebrity or known persons body gone over with a fine tooth comb here..
She looks like Popeye’s ,Olive Oil . I don’t get the hype, she’s so average.

  41. Lotta says:

I think she has the same type of body Audrey Hepburn had, it’s just the way she was made. 🙂
And I can’t understand how you can critize someone for their toes. What is she supposed to do according to you, have plastic surgery on her toes because she dared to get engaged to Clooney?

    • Tolva says:

Oh please, Audrey Hepburn, really? I don’t think so.
Audrey Hepburn went through bouts of starvation during the holocust and body suffered major trauma because of lack of food. She had stomach issues because of those years of starvation.

  42. LeAnn Stinks says:

Sorry, but if this woman wasn’t engaged to George Clooney, would anyone care?

  43. Mzizkrizten says:

The top is cute, the pants are ill-fitting.

  44. Pandora says:

It’s like that subway en route to job interview scene in Weeds, it’s all about being ironic.

  45. Annabelle says:

The top is pretty but it would have been ever prettier if she had worn it with jeans.

  46. Princess says:

Oh come on guys, her outfit isn’t that abnormal for a hot day in London and why are we telling women what they can and canst wear? Who decides what’s appropriate and what isn’t?

  47. Tolva says:

Is George’s pr paying someone for this hype?
She’s Overhyped because she’s a lawyer with George. This woman is so average looking. IMO
She’s goofy looking, not beautiful. I don’t get the hype.
Her body looks like Olive Oil , the Poppeye character.
The only thing attractive on her is her hair and her Law degree.
It’s hilarious people calling this very average, emaciated looking woman beautiful. I’m not buying it, I don’t see it.
Her law degree is wonderful, her job is awesome, but physically this woman is kinda goofy looking, terribly skinny.

  48. cody says:

Its funny for so long, on all the different gossip sites, people said George had this thing for Cindy Crawford, but Amal is the exact opposite looking of Cindy. She is very slim, no curves, darker complexion and hair. So there is that theory down the drain.

    • Jayna says:

Cindy (almost 50) is too old for George, LOL, and Rande is his best friend. I don’t think he was pining for Cindy.

She’s not smiling in pap shots anymore. George must have had a strong word with her, because she was so obvious in all the pap shots before how much she loved being photographed and now it has stopped.

  49. Lucky Charm says:

HOW are her pants staying on without a belt??? I’m truly amazed that they’re not falling down. And truly horrified that they even sell them in the first place. I like the top. I would wear that with a pair of capri pants, but then I’ve never been accused of having an eye for fashion, lol.

  50. Tanika says:

Can anyone ID her tan tote ..the one she was wearing with that pinkish dress

  51. dorothy says:

    Stylist STAT!

  52. nima3 says:

Her casual style is perfect, if you’re 20. Fail.

  53. Dorky says:

It’s hard to take her seriously when she dresses like a 6-year-old. Sorry. It just makes me think even more, that she’s just another bimbo with a contract. You don’t have to wear power suits on your down time, but c’mon. You can dress like a grown-up and look smashing while casual.

She definitely LOVES the pap attention and wants to be famous.

  54. Illyra says:

Her second toe is (VERY) noticeably longer than her big toe. I read once how this is supposed to indicate a “high histamine” person, i.e. someone who is extremely driven to succeed, high energy, etc.

  55. Anne says:

Everything about her is impeccable. And the gold card in her hand doesn’t hurt the look.

  56. Tolva says:

This week the memo from George’s PR seems to be to compare her to Angelina Jolie, at least in the UK press I’ve seen two articles in major press outlets who spout publicists agendas, The Daily Mail compared her to Angelina and Huffington Post UK, compared her to Angelina, calling Amal a Wonder Woman and leading the story with ONLY a photo of A George’s fiancée . The promotion by pr people of this woman is so obvious. George’s fiancée must be hyped. What’s with him having to Hype every woman he’s with, he does this hype with all of them.
By the way Angelina Jolie just received a Royal title bestowed by the Queen.

Some very astute posters previously said that’s where George was going with her PR, comparisons to Angelina.

  57. Artsygirl says:

Ladies, let’s stop the body shaming, please. why do women do this is beyond me. It’s a shame for the women of the past who fought for equality and freedom and yet in this century, we’re still judging a successful woman for her outfit and hips.

  58. FannaWintour says:

How can it be dated when it is completely “on trend”?

Dated is how most of you ageist heifers probably dress, LMAO. She’s young (sorry for you if you feel you are “old” once you pass 30), she looks fresh (unlike many of the early 20s celebs who are living the hard party lifestyle and look rough), and she has the money and confidence to play with fashion and dress how she pleases.

If you’re hot, you’re hot. She certainly ISN’T “mutton dressed as lamb”. What a disgusting comment.

The vast majority of fashion comments/opinions on this site always make me cringe….They remind me of the fashion descriptions found in “women’s novels” by mid-western/southern female novelists over 50…”She had on a lovely turquoise v-neck blouse with long sleeves under her navy blazer and wore small gold hoop earrings. Her navy pants had little silver pinstripes running through them and went along well with her black patent leather pumps and matching patent leather purse.”

  59. jr says:

Overrated – resume and style quotient. Something fishy with all the pr.

  60. Jade says:

I don’t see anything wrong with her body and her face is lovely. I don’t know how high some of you feel a woman’s accomplishments should be but I think she has achieved good things for her career. I know my resume is not as detailed as hers.

    I hate those pants though.

  61. Shelley says:

The shirt would look better with something else, but with these horribly unflattering jeans, just NO. Those jeans are a travesty! Hideous! And they do absolutely nothing for her figure.

  62. homegrrrl says:

I find it odd that she dresses so jr. I would guess it’s because she probably is a size 12 kids, and when she shops her size, she just gets whatever, with no eye for casual wear.

  63. Twez says:

    It’s a great ensemble. For a teenager in 1998.

  64. zinala says:

Something about her doesn’t look right. She has beautiful hair and an average looking face but her body does not look like a woman’s not even a thin woman. Her bust looks like it’s too large for her body like its been enhanced. Her hips are not there and if you look at her in pants she looks like a young boy from the front and behind. And she has such large feet for a woman. I agree with some who say she looks tranny or like an adolescent boy.
