Fresh on the heels of Lindsay’s minor (for her) “caught on tape” cocaine scandal, comes news that she’s hooked up with one of the guys the “source” named as a previous lover. British cad Calum Best was said to have joined Lohan at her hotel in New York after the Costume Institute Gala on Monday night.

Best must have wanted to get laid enough to deal with the drama that comes with bedding Lindsay. The last time they were together she was said to have tried to lock him up in her hotel suite in London, and to have asked staff to make him stay with her.

Meanwhile the NY Post is shedding more light on how Lindsay turned out to be such a wild child. Her mom Dina, who has spoken at length about going out clubbing with her daughter and seems to act more like an enabling friend than a parent, is working for “Entertainment Tonight” as a guest reporter. She was hired to do interviews on the red carpet at the premiere of Lindsay’s new movie, Georgia Rule.

Dina predictably wants fame just like her daughter, they say:

The leggy 44-year-old mother of three was hired by “Entertainment Tonight” to interview celebrities on the red carpet as they arrived at last night’s New York premiere of “Georgia Rule,” which stars her hard-partying daughter, as well as Jane Fonda and Felicity Huffman.

“Dina wants to be a TV star,” said one snitch. “But ‘ET’ may just be hiring her so they can get the Lindsay exclusive.”

As much as Lindsay loves the limelight, she may be wary of granting interviews since London’s News of the World newspaper published photos Sunday allegedly showing the 20-year-old starlet doing drugs.

A spokeswoman for the show told Page Six: “Dina Lohan will be a special correspondent for the ‘Georgia Rule’ premiere. We are looking forward to Dina asking the questions only a mother can.”

This isn’t the first time Dina has tried to use her daughter’s fame to snag an “exclusive.” When Lindsay was in rehab, her mom took “ET” on the plane with her and her other daughter, Ali Lohan, to go “visit” Lindsay at the Wonderland facility in L.A.

It is any wonder Lindsay is hooking up with whatever guy will have her, doing drugs, shirking her responsibilities, and spouting off about her illusions of grandeur? The girl is famous for being a slutty drunk that goes out every night, and she’s talking about how she wants to win an Oscar. The sad thing is, it could be possible if she significantly cleans up her act. She’d have to actually admit that she needs to change though, and she doesn’t seem to have taken that “first step.”
