Kim Kardashian & Kanye West dubbed a ‘fashion flu’ during Paris Fashion Week

kim1

I once dated a guy (briefly) who did this move – he liked a butt-grab going up and down stairs. It was really weird (to me). What is it about butts and stairs for some men? Anyway, the whole time Kanye West and Kim Kardashian were doing events for Paris Fashion Week, I barely looked at Kim’s Instagram – go here to see. She posted SO many photos from PFW. Including this butt-grab pic. She also regrammed a Mario Testino photo where she and Kanye are nuzzling each other in an elevator. Nothing turns them on like Paris Fashion Week! But do the fashion people accept them? Eh. I think the fashion people probably would have accepted Kanye as-is, but with The Kimye Experience moving to Paris, most people are pretty over it:

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West have worn out their welcome with so many at Paris fashion week, they’ve been branded by industry insiders tired of their antics as “fashion flu.”

The rapper and his reality-star wife have grabbed headlines in the City of Light this week by bringing their 1-year-old child North to a Balenciaga show, holding up Lanvin’s show for 40 minutes, getting punked by a Ukrainian prankster outside Balmain’s show, and even revealing their collective cleavage.

“People are so mad about Kimye being here,” sniffed a fashion insider, adding that Paris regulars are “fatigued with the whole family.” (Kim’s sister Kendall Jenner walked in Balmain’s Paris show, and momager Kris is also in town.)

Another insider was overheard on Thursday in Paris complaining that the ubiquitous Kim and Kanye have been a fashion headache. A pro shot back, “No, you mean a fashion [chronic fatigue].”

A source explained the frustration: “They hold up shows and they draw paparazzi wherever they go. They’re seen here as the ultimate try-hards. It was funny when they were a novelty.”

After the pair showed up late to Lanvin’s show — where Kim wore a skirt so short she used her hand as an accessory to cover her crotch in the front row — they were booed by photographers. Kanye wore his own low-cut top, exposing ample “moobs.”

On Friday, some breathed a sigh of relief when the pair wasn’t at the vaunted Dior show with VIPs Carla Bruni, Marion Cotillard and Dakota Fanning. (However, little North has won hearts, and was being called “Lil’ Kimye” on the fashion circuit).

[From Page Six]

Kim and Kanye probably have worn out their welcome, but what has shocked me over the course of the past year is that the really big names in fashion DO accept Kim and Kanye. Anna Wintour put them on Vogue, Carine Roitfeld adores them, designers like Riccardo Tisci, Alber Elbaz, Olivier Rousteing and more all want to dress Kim and Kanye and they really are invited to all of these shows. You know who hates the Kimye? The mid-tier people. The people under Anna Wintour. The people who work for Carine Roitfeld. The stylists trying to get into these shows. The fashion snobs who think Wintour is a hack and Raf Simons is a genius (he’s not a genius).

Oh, and Kanye has apparently completed his new album and he’s already let a select group of friends hear it. It will be interesting to see him go back to music again. Personally, I’m looking forward to another Kanyeezington publicity tour. He’s always a mess on a promotional tour.

PS… I’ll post the new Kimye-Givenchy photos later on.

    That poor child!

  2. delorb says:

If its all about asses, then that fits these two to a T.

  3. Hannah says:

Kanyes moobs are up there with Simon cowells.

  4. OTHER RENEE says:

So is the a buttographer following them down those stairs on their personal payroll? Hired to take shots of them for their instagram accounts?

  5. starrywonder says:

Paris can keep them. I am sick of them trying to pretend to be America’s favorite couple. Boooo.

  6. birdie says:

After the assault the other day, you would think she’d want to protect her child from this madness.

  7. alexc says:

Just checking if any of the injected fat/implant has shifted.

  8. Dawn says:

A fashion show is no place for a baby unless you are Victoria Beckham and it’s your kid. Do these two ever have an original idea or is everything they do lifted from other famous couples? Oh and that ass shot is just too rude and junior high. These two just need to grow up and get a clue.

  9. Eloise says:

Anna Wintour IS a hack. Vogue is losing subscriptions, and she fills it with People Magazine type common nonsense, among the thousands of advertisements needed to keep that monstrosity afloat. It lost it’s luster as The Fashion bible.
The true talent Andre Leon Talley quit as he described his position there as “a glass ceiling”. Anna Wintour is floundering without Talley’s brilliance. Google Andre Leon Talley. That man IS a genius, he knows every nuance and detail about fashion from every decade over hundreds of years. And that’s not the only subject he is well versed in, his knowledge base is vast and intricate. His writings are perfection.

    • alexc says:

Totally agree. She does whatever it takes to make as much money as possible and Andre is a true fashion genius.

    • Val says:

Completely agree as well. It should be enough to look at the other Vogues to see how cheap US Vogue looks next to them.

    • Frida_K says:

Andre Leon Talley quit Vogue? Ooh, snap!

I’ve been off Vogue for awhile now just because it has gone so far downhill but I always look for Andre’s column if I am waiting at the hairdresser’s. And now that you mention it, I have been picking up the Vogue, looking for Andre, and putting it back down.

What a shame he left. He’s the one with the real knowledge of fashion, not icky Anna.

      • homegrrl says:

I lost interest in Vogue when models became heroin style vacant. Anorexic teenagers on drugs are as disturbing as the silicone assINjections of the kardashedInans, so the whole vogue angle of fashion is not my thing and haven’t been interested in decades.

    • Kiddo says:

Someone (here, I think) speculated that she had the Kimye photoshoot as a way to get even, since Vogue is trying to push her out, and that she wanted to go out in a hail of gunfire, or by just burning the whole house down on her way out

ETA: one of the photos (mother/daughter) is funhouse mirrors distortion again, that have elongated them and taken off 50-70 lbs.

  10. Gina says:

In a perfect world, if this site and others like it…and all the rags the mother pays to print stories about them would cease and desist all things Kardashian, they would disappear faster than the joy they bring to the world…..in a word immediately. Counterfeit celebrities at their finest.

  11. Talie says:

I think they look fabulous. The whole family.

  12. Dani2 says:

On another site, I saw pics of Kim and North where North looked so uncomfortable because of the camera flashes, I really don’t think they need to be subjecting this poor child to this. Now before someone says: “You’d be complaining if she WASN’T with her child”, there’s a difference between wanting to have your child with you all the time and using your kid as a prop even to the point where your child is clearly uncomfortable. I feel really sorry for this child.

    • swack says:

Totally agree with you on this. Kim put North in a “matching” outfit to hers and both the outfits are ridiculous. Also taking a infant to a fashion show is just not right. North is at an age where she does not want to sit for more than about 2 minutes and there is no where for her to get down.

    • LAK says:

i hope it doesn’t degenerate into Suri type papping. As she grew up, it was pretty clear she hated the paps and yet her parents dragged her out as a PR prop all the time. And people making comments online about what a spoilt madam she was for not playing ball with the paps and allowing her picture to be taken. She hated the paps, in some videos she’s asking the paps to stop and her parents are just grinning and not protecting her.

I hope North doesn’t suffer the same fate.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Me, too. I found the hounding of that child to be extremely disturbing.

      • LAK says:

GNAT: when i started to notice her distress, i stopped opening any articles that had her name or thumbnail picture.

I once visited a website that was dedicated to her and opened link to video….big, big mistake. She was crying, in distress and paps were yelling at her and Katie was simply standing by grinning from ear to ear and not making any attempts to shield the child or tell the paps to knock it off.

      • AnnaM44 says:

Remember that video from a year or two ago, where she’s trying to get in a car with her friend and Katie. She’s yelling at the paps to move and stop photographing her and as she climbs in, one pap yells out over everyone, “Bye Suri, you little brat!”, Suri yells stop it back And Katie just climbs in after her smiling.

  13. Val says:

I definitely do not understand why some designers cater to them so much. Really really don’t understand. They are everything that’s bad about American celebrity culture.
About Olivier Rousteing – at first I thought he was great, but then I followed him on Instagram…smh… he’s a bit of a famewho. He should spend more time on his collections and less time taking selfies and fawning over celebrities.

    • zinjojo says:

Without a doubt it has to be the publicity that these two bring the designers, no matter how tacky they may really think they are. Kim’s Instagram is hugely followed, they’re photographed everywhere, so the designers know they’ll get a ton of exposure from their association with Kimye.

And this is why the top level of the fashion world may tolerate and seemingly embrace these two, but the mid-tier and lower hate them — they’re the people who have to do the hard work that actually keeps the industry going. And this is all about business, exposure and money.

  14. whatsmyname? says:

North is seriously the cutest and the best thing about them.
And to think there was a time when no designer would touch Kim with a ten foot pole those days seem so long ago.

  15. Fartsack says:

Celebrity parents that face a bank of flashing lights holding their child(ren) are bordering on abusive. Of course they don’t like it. It hurts eyes…little ones especially. Didn’t Suri use to hide from them? This poor little girl will never have a “normal” life.

  16. Ag says:

i know that i am barking up the wrong tree with these people, but NOTHING is intimate and private with them anymore. not even a husband touching his wife’s a$$. everything has to be put out there for public consumption.

not to even mention poor nori, whom kanye allegedly wants to protect from the paps and the trappings of fame. really? stop dragging the poor kid around and letting her be photographed on a daily basis.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Exactly. I don’t want to hear anymore about how they are losing their “privacy.” They sold it long ago.

  17. jwoolman says:

It’s not as though Kim is breastfeeding. So what’s the point dragging the baby along? Where did they stash the nanny at the fashion show? Under the seat?!?

Poor kiddo. She became an accessory only when she became more photogenic.

  18. MrsBPitt says:

Kanye looks like he is trying to palm two basketballs at one time! Even Shaq’s big hands couldn’t handle that a$$….

  19. Peppa says:

I just looked at her instagram, in the first picture on there Kim is wearing some horribly ugly black sheer outfit and it looks like North is wearing a “matching” type outfit that appears to be a little black bikini top with a sheer blouse. That is just super weird to me. I know that if she left North at home people would complain that she ditched her child for Fashion Week, but on the other hand this makes it look like she is using her as an accessory. No 15th month old wants to sit at a fashion show, or face all those harsh camera flashes from the paparazzi.

  20. Altariel says:

Poor North (oh that name!)….always looking like she’s ready to burst into tears.

    • Gypsy says:

🙂 I don’t know if I would put the words “poor” and “North” together. 🙂
Also, the name is a perfectly acceptable WASP name, and yet still so unique that she will have one name recognition – Sorry but I think it was a stroke of genius. 🙂

  21. Chris2 says:

The ruckus there’d be on the front row, if a child became upset, crying etc…..imagine! It’d banjax the event for the designer, models, and audience. Beyond inappropriate.

  22. AntiSocialButterfly says:

Interesting that Kanye’s hair chevrons point to his deranged frontal lobe. It’s like a subconscious cry for help.

  23. FingerBinger says:

Designers go with whoever is popular. Years ago it was Goop who was at all the runway shows. Then it Rihanna then Katy Perry then Lady Gaga. Now it’s Kanye and Kim.

    • Dawn says:

But these two are not popular with anyone other than the media and they are of the media making. I can’t wait until the media stop taking bribes from them to print them up or find a new media darling. Thee two are old and boring!

  24. Andy says:

I can understand inviting people like rihanna but I’m genuinely bewildered about the fashion world embracing kimye. I would have thought having your fancy high end brand in any way associated with Kim would be a seriously bad idea. Are they trolling her? Genuine question!

  25. Mischa Jane says:

Fashion ebola is more like it. I don’t know why these two are invited to these things, unless it’s to provide endless (snarky) entertainment for the other attendees. Fashion people seem like a bitchy lot, I would love to be a fly on the wall in some of their cocktail conversations regarding Kimye’s fashion choices.

  26. diresl says:

The fashion world hasn’t accepted these two. Just cos you got to attend some shows doesn’t mean you are accepted. I mean Louis Vuttion turned down to meet Kanye West and Kim last year, so not everyone wants them. I mean atleast they were banned from the Dior show and Jenner wasn’t allowed to walk for it. The Kardashians/Jenners are not even that famous in Europe, so I highly suspect they must brining American paparazzi wth them. I wont be surprised if they hired that Vitali Sudisk or whatever to come and prank Kim. After all, this was Clooneys wedding weekend. They cant stand NOT being the center of attention.

  27. Ruyana says:

They really make me ill, but more so is Kris Jenner. Nasty old Madame following them everywhere hoping to get in the photo too. She has turned all her daughters into hoes. Enty posted a “reveal” that Kendall Jenner had sex with Uncle Terry who won’t stop bragging about it. I really hope that’s fiction. Kris wants so badly to be a super-star and still has not accepted the fact that she never will be. It’s creepy that she follows them around.

And there are inevitably people who respond (not at CB) “Oh, you’re just jealous because they’re so rich”. No. I don’t worship money or greed.

  28. manda says:

I can’t stand them, but it is hard to hate on them after seeing the lovey dovey nuzzling shot. I’m a sucker for love!

  29. Gypsy says:

One thing is obvious, North won’t be a shy girl. – Though she’ll have to go to Yoga to learn peace and quiet.
I have nothing against those people, if they want to introduce their baby to high society and the denizens who inhabit it then it their baby, and that baby will never need my tax dollars help, therefore I don’t have the right to complain about their parenting.

I can see 16 years from now North will see these these fashion houses moguls/designers as members of her extended family. – I have a feeling she will be okay.

  30. Leighton says:

This is like Dinner for Schmucks. They invited buffoons to dinner as entertainment and now the help is complaining about the spectacle. They’ll be gone soon and next they’ll invite piñata hip hop dresser Rita Ora for us to dissect.

  31. sauvage says:

If I were a designer, people who were late to my shows for more than ten minutes would lose their seats and would not be let in later. I find it incredibly disrespectful to expect such a major event as a fashion show, involving so many people!, to be held up for anybody. Don’t show up on time? Your loss. Sorry, guys.

  32. Sam H x says:

I’m starting to think the fashion elite only grin and bare Kimye because of Ricardo Tisci along with the exposure they get for their runway shows, of course. Atleast Elie Saab didn’t have to be bombarded by their presence.

I’ve heard of Andre Leon Talley and know he is one of the notable names in the fashion elite. I will have to look into columns.

The little girl looked very upset walking into the fashion show with her parents. If they were that desperate to bring her to the show they should have gone for a private entrance avoiding the paps. But momma and pops crave attention & know nothing else!
