These are photos of Sarah Hyland at the Teen Vogue Young Hollywood party in Beverly Hills on Friday night. She’s wearing a red and light blue DKNY dress with just a hint of cutout at the stomach. She looks like a knockout and I love that modern print dress. Over at Red Carpet Fashion Awards they don’t like her styling, but I disagree. I think her makeup and hair are striking and so well done.
We’re talking about Hyland on her own as she took out a restraining order last week against an ex boyfriend of five years, Matthew Prokop. Prokop was due to be released from rehab that week, and the rehab director advised Hyland to get a restraining order for her own safety. The court request detailed a pattern of abusive behavior by Prokop, including verbal and emotional abuseand an incident in which he choked her violently. As many people commented, it can be sad and disturbing to learn what goes on in a relationship which looks ok from the outside.
There are countless people rooting for Hyland and hoping she gets out of this ok. She sure looks incredible but again it’s hard to tell. Hyland hasn’t directly addressed the issue, but she has been Instagramming pics and messages that make it seem like she’s doing great. Last week she sent out a nice message on Instagram about the return of her show, Modern Family. She wrote “Tonight’s the night!!! Season 6 premiere of #modernfamily on abc 9/8c!!!! I can’t believe I’ve been working with this show for almost 6 years! I love these people with all of my heart and will never forget this blessing of a job Hope you all enjoy the new season!!” She also posted pics from backstage at the Demi Lovato and Christina Perri concert in LA Saturday night.
E! Online has details from the Teen Vogue party including the fact that it was held at a private residence and that there was a drone flying around taking pictures. I need to have one of those for the next party I throw or attend. That sounds awesome. I’m not sure if these photos form inside the party were taken by drone or not, but I like to think they were. Food served included “caesar salad, sushi rolls, shrimp tacos, truffle rolls, and sausage rolls.”
My favorite photo is this one of Jeremy Allen White, Lip from Shameless, checking out Hyland as she tries to dance. It’s a Getty photo and she Instagrammed it, writing “Also apparently this is what I look like when I dance… I’ll take it. @heyjaredhey and Jem. Highschool reunion at @teenvogue #tvyounghollywood.” White and Hyland both went to the Professional Performing Arts School in Manhattan, and they were probably in the same grade since they’re just a few months apart in age. That’s cute!

Honestly I have no idea why TMZ or Huffington Post posted this girls’ restraining order. What the F is wrong with them? Her ex sounds crazy and does no one think that publicizing this can make her even more of a target than she is? Ugh.

Because misogyny and violence against women has become very topical in the media ever since the Isla Vista shootings.
They simply don’t care and it’s all about them.
Having this in the public can also keep her safer. Could shame him into staying away. It’s out there for the public to see. There’s nothing wrong with that. Don’t think it’s right to have out there? Don’t read it. Lead by example.

She looks happy, so I hope that is actually the case. The dress is really cute, but I feel like I need to be adjusting contrast on my screen. The tonal range on the colors seems muted/flat.
