George Clooney & Amal Alamuddin are probably honeymooning in Seychelles

VF Italia

Here’s the new Vanity Fair Italia cover. They got that out in a hurry, didn’t they? That’s a really quick turn-around for a monthly magazine. Not only did George Clooney and Amal Alamuddin sell their wedding photos of VF Italia in addition to People Mag and Hello Mag, but it seems like VF Italia got some different photos, exclusive pics from Clooney’s private photographer. So, to answer the question I posed last Friday: The Alamooneys are THIRSTY. They are parched. And it’s really interesting to watch. You can see the full VF Italia pictorial here. There’s one photo of Amal in her wedding gown, laughing with her head thrown back, and I swear she’s copying a classic Angelina Jolie pose. That one photo gave me such strong Jolie vibes, I got a shiver. What’s next, Amal? SACK DRESSES and a villainous Leg of Doom?

Anyway, there are new rumors as to the whereabouts of the Alamooneys. X17 (via The Mail) says that George took Amal to the Seychelles!

They married during a romantic ceremony in Venice, Italy, with celebrities such as Cindy Crawford and Matt Damon in attendance. Now X17Online is reporting the 53-year-old actor has whisked his new bride, lawyer Amal Alamuddin off to the Seychelles in the Indian Ocean for a beach honeymoon. And the site notes that the power couple is staying at the luxurious North Island resort, which is so private it can be accessed only by helicopter.

A source told the site, ‘George and Amal were looking for the ultimate, private getaway and I believe it was Brad who told him to go to this resort. It’s one of the most beautiful places on earth and George wanted to show Amal something even more amazing than Venice. It was the only place that could top off such an elaborate wedding.’

The resort has 11 villas, and each one is at least 5,000 square feet. The Clooneys won’t need to share lounge chairs with other guests because each villa has its own ‘plunge pool.’

The North Island resort has previously been visited by Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie as well as Prince William and Kate Middleton. George’s rep did not return calls to MailOnline.

[From The Daily Mail]

I totally forgot that Brangelina visited Seychelles, which makes me a bad Brangeloonie. Then I mis-remembered Will and Kate’s vacations too – they visited an exclusive Maldives (not Seychelles) resort earlier this year. It was widely believed that Will and Kate’s visit was comped because the resort got so much publicity about it, although most of the publicity that Will and Kate got from their vacation was extremely negative (they left George at home and William was supposedly in the midst of his “bespoke program” at Cambridge). But Will and Kate did reportedly go to Seychelles for their honeymoon. So… in addition to giving us some Jolie vibes, Amal is copy-Kateing.

Anyway, I kind of believe George and Amal are on some private, barely accessible island somewhere. If they were staying in Morocco, I’m sure we would have heard about it by now.

Blind Gossip has revisited an old item. Not going to link it, though. George was the most guessed person for the scenario.

    • PunkyMomma says:

Saw that. It’s very pointed, isn’t it?

    • Charlotte says:

      Gossip tease!

    • Luca26 says:

I put BG blinds as more likely to be fiction than even CDAN blinds. The only time they are right they’ve either gotten an exclusive from a tabloid story a few days before print or they’ve stolen a blind from another site and re-written it or they are about D-listers.
Any blind about a big star reads like fan fiction. I’m surprised at how many people actually find them credible.

      • Kiddo says:

The Joan Rivers story was spot on. I’m not saying the site doesn’t make shit up, but they have been right some of the time; maybe like a broken clock, who knows?

I do know that when someone is hard selling something, it usually ain’t all it’s cracked up to be.

      • Ally.M says:

I agree Luca26. I read the Clooney blind and thought it was complete BS. It’s surprising how many people fell for it.

      • InvaderTak says:

With you on that. And the Joan Rivers one wasn’t hard to guess due to the info that was already online at the time. I think they write blinds based on current gossip and a little projection and can get it right that way. I can’t prove it, but I used to be an avid reader and I think they rewrite some of them and repost. Don’t have definate proof, just a couple instances where the wording and some details were off from what I remebered.

      • emmie_a says:

Oh yeah Ally just bc YOU don’t believe it means there’s zero truth to it.

      • Ally.M says:

That’s not what I said Emmie, chill. I was surprised when I read through the comments over on BG how many people read the blind as fact. I’m pretty cynical and love a good conspiracy theory but until I see real prove, not a fictional blind on a gossip site, I chose to believe their relationship is real.

      • karma rocks says:

Ah yes, because you don’t believe it anyone who does is a gullible, conspiracy nut. I bet you’re convinced the George and Amal publicity wedding is all about true love too. Talk about naïve.

      • Ally.M says:

Lol…if you say so. Love the names, oops sorry I mean name.

      • epiphany says:

I imagine BG, like many gossip sites, will make up stories during a slow news cycle, or at the very least, embellish the truth. However, they have been spot on with a number of stories, and there is something terribly off with this George/Amal situation. A celebrity, who for years went out of his way to denigrate the paparazzi and claimed to be fanatical about his privacy, suddenly does this? And I’m not so cynical that I can’t believe a confirmed bachelor could meet the woman of his dreams and do a 180 in the marriage department, but why not then pursue that relationship in private, rather than share every excruciating detail with the media?
Even fans of George should see there’s something very off here – who knows if it’s an “arrangement”, or a preamble to a political career, or something meant to distract us from another situation, but there’s more to this than a guy who met his dream girl.

    • emmie_a says:

I totally believe it! And then the marriage works for my scenario: His political ambitions and her famewhore needs.

    • Mrs Darcy says:

Oh yes! I saw that too.
What I don’t understand is how these people in so-called ‘arrangements’ even manage to get their families to join in the charade. I mean I can understand Amal’s desire/need for fame but how do the parents, sister etc., all join in on the phoney act is bewildering…or maybe I am a simpleton. 🙂

      • Kiddo says:

I don’t know. My family isn’t ‘in on’ my relationships. How much do families know about couples? Unless you are a constant sharer, to begin with. It could be real, but the more press, the less I believe it: inversely proportional.

      • InvaderTak says:

Yeah, there’s something totally up with this, but I don’t think we’re ever going to know about the details. Maybe an oricle told George that he would lose his fame and fortune if he didn’t marry and have a family right now. Who knows? It’s all speculation by pretty much everyone including the “inside sources”. I mean, seriously how many people actually know their motivations, even in their inner circle? Very few I’d imagine.

      • ncboudicca says:

Families don’t know everything. My friend married a man who was gay – but not “out”. Only a few friends knew the truth, neither her family nor his had a clue. (No, they are no longer married).

      • karma rocks says:

Maybe the Mrs. has her own secrets she’s been keeping and the arrangement suits her as well.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I don’t believe it, but I’ve never thought he was gay. And I know him so well!

      • Kiddo says:

Yeah, I’m not necessarily getting a gay vibe, but I never hung out with him. Then again, I never got a gay vibe from Tom Cruise, either. I get an a-sexual sense on both. But that could also be that I find neither has sexual magnetism. Maybe he’s just tired of digging up new red carpet dates and putting on the most eligible bachelor show.

      • Liv says:

I heard from someone who works PR in Germany that she heard from a hairdresser in LA that he’s gay years ago. I always thought that’d be the reason why he had the “escort” girls, but I really think that he and Amal love each other very much. They want the attention and he sells his private life, but still. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’d turned out gay in the end, but I can’t believe that she would be part of it. She seems like a smart, clever and down to earth woman.

      • emmie_a says:

Liv: I’ve always believed he was gay. As for Amal, smart & clever probably yes especially clever with being a lawyer. But she has never struck me as down to earth. She loves attention & the limelight too much to be down to earth. I think they are both extremely calculating which is why they could pull this off. Good lawyers are great actors.

      • Liv says:

Like I said, I think they both enjoy the attention. Otherwise they would have kept their marriage under wraps. But because of her job I think she knows what goes on in the world. I think she’s grounded because of her job. Maybe I’m wrong, I mean I don’t know her! 😉

    • Belle Epoch says:

Where are Rande Gerber and Cindy Crawford right now?

    • Belle Epoch says:

I finally got around to looking at the pictures in People. There is a fascinating photo of Rande Gerber smiling at the happy couple, Amal looking great for the the camera, and George looking anywhere but at Rande. You just want to read Rande’s mind looking at it.

  2. LAK says:

This wedding is like a worm in my brain. what i wouldn’t give for a pensieve.

  3. SK says:

I think the photos are gorgeous. I think her face when at the altar is a look that can’t be faked. They seem truly happy. I love, love, love the photo of George with Bill Murray! Oh, and Jolie doesn’t have a patent and throwing her head back and laughing. I know cynicism is all the rage, and I am normally pretty cynical; but these photos are just do lovely and they look so happy. The money for them is going to charity and we get to see, so, win:win!

    • Esmom says:

The photo of George with Bill Murray was my favorite. I don’t get an Angelina vibe at all, but there’s one shot where Amal reminds me of Carolyn Bessette. Not the first time I’ve seen the resmblance, which we discussed in one of the wedding threads. Something about her facial expressions.

    • Vava says:

The photos are gorgeous, it’s a win-win IMO. I don’t get the Angie, vibe either. That honeymoon in the Seychelles just sounds incredible to me. George knows how to treat his lady! 🙂

    • Sabrine says:

The top photo here is the bet one I’ve seen of them together. Amal looks gorgeous. I don’t know why everyone thinks they’re such an expert on the status of this marriage. The truth is nobody knows. It’s all speculation and nothing more. For now, I’ll believe the marriage is genuine since there’s nothing to refute it to the contrary except a bunch of layman comments.

    • LadyJane says:

I agree. I am bewildered why people are calling Amal a famewhore? She smiles when she sees the cameras – she is poised. They didn’t hide away their wedding, but made it a community celebration. I think George is proud of the bride he won, and wants to show her off a bit. And why not? Why all the bile? And by the way, not everything that happens in the universe is a reaction to the Brange – as incredible as that may seem. Two people seemingly in love got married, in a wedding they could afford, and donated the money earned from their photos to their very worthy charities. I don’t get all the vitriol directed towards them, I really don’t.

  4. Tippy says:

I think it’s safe to assume that the island is also accessible by boat.

I’m sensing that a rivalry is brewing
    between Amal and Angelina.

    • Soulsister says:

Exactly. It’s the media not the women themselves.

However I still think it’s LOL that Brad and Angie have been constantly dragged into an event that has had absolutely nothing to do with them.

    • InvaderTak says:

Wonder what Johnny Depp and Amber Famehereder are going to do now. WIll they try to outdo Brange and Amalooney? That’d be funny to see.

      • aga says:

Amal is 100 times more fame hungry that Amber who is an actress so her job demands some visibility.

    • Someonestolemyname says:

I don’t think Angelina gives Amal the time of day.
It’s the press trying to create something.

I’m beginning to wonder if Amal is trying to copy the British Royalty….
      Copying Kate.
      Honeymoon in Seychelles
      Home in Berkshire

      • Jen2 says:

Maybe he is angling for an honorary Knighthood. I think he realizes that this marriage is not necessarily going to help in US politics, so if he hangs with his new neighbors, the young Windsors, he might get some traction there. Probably going to go next door and ask for a cup of sugar to get acquainted. His wife is a British citizen, who likes big hair blow outs, so she has something in common with Kate, so who knows. The whole thing is just a bit much, no matter what. Hope Amalooney are happy and live a quiet, productive life.

      • LAK says:

@Jen2: You mean the old Windsors?

The young ones are either in Norfolk or Gloucestershire.

      • Sushi says:

I do not see the need of comparing high and might royalty with any women/man/couple. Everyones mentioned in this post are far more high achieving and deserve good marks than WK whose only fame being born/married to the right family. WK could not get a job in the real world with their resume/education and work attitude.

      • Vava says:

Nah….Amal isn’t copying Kate. Why would she? Kate is in a sad situation! Amal has the best of everything – a guy who loves her and demonstrates that, FREEDOM, a CAREER, and lots of people who love her (few of them here on Celebitchy, but that’s the way it goes.). It’s too bad Kate doesn’t copy Amal! She could start by demonstrating a solid work ethic after she gets over her morning sickness. Unfortunately, it seems to me as if Kate and William have an “arrangement”. I see more passion in the Clooney relationship.

    • emmie_a says:

There is NO comparison in my mind. Angelina has proven herself & has actual results to show of her good deeds. What does Amal have to show? Even her law work now seems more famewhore-ish than founded in altruistic acts.

      • Charlie says:

Just because Angelina has been in the spotlight for so long doesn’t mean she has more to show. Her actions are just much more visible. Maybe Amal has done plenty, but she’s been famous for what, 3 minutes? How would we know?

    • Someonestolemyname says:

I wonder if they stayed at the same place William and Kate stayed at?,

    • Vava says:

I seriously doubt Amal or Angie cares what the other does.

  5. GiGi says:

So. Many. Pictures. I was good with the publicity and the parade of it all… but this is so OTT.

*As a side note – I LOVED Nick Clooney’s toast – it was very sweet.

    • Josefa says:

IKR? I’m starting to get the feeling I’ve seen more pictures from this wedding than some I actually was invited to. I’m starting to wonder why they didn’t televise it.

  6. THIRSTY AMALOONEY says:

They read the news and follow what the media is saying about them. Ha I guess the backlash has only began. I have never heard of a celebrity couple releasing their marriage certificate. Which they did I guess they are trying to shift attention to what’s been said about them being thrsty and what people are saying about amal’s uncle. Wow just wow! How thirsty of them

  7. NewWester says:

So after a romantic wedding and hopefully honeymoon, how do they top that? The real hard work begins, it called being Married.

  8. Maya says:

Oh my god – George and Amal has taken this to a complete different level of publicity – haven’t they?

3 magazine covers with at least 50 pictures, numorous statements from the people who attended the wedding, their future plans etc the only thing missing are the pictures from their wedding night.

PS: I didn’t believe it when others said that george is jealous of Brad and his power within Hollywood and outside of it. But now I am seriously starting to believe it with him always namedropping Brad, releasing a statement congratulating the JPs, marrying Amal who is beautiful, intelligent, classy, dark haired just like Angelina and now getting her to pose as her as well?

George might have a problem with trying to become the next Brangelina because Brad & Angelina are genuinely in love and happy with their children and close circle of friends. They know they are powerful and use that power to make wonderful movies, bring awareness to various humanitarian causes. That is why they have the respect and admiration from people.

George comes off as fake and not genuine in his work and now this over the top wedding publicity – he has lost a lot of credibility.

    • pwal says:

As others has mentioned, Angelina doesn’t have the patent/rights to the throw your head back as you laugh pose, but then again, she didn’t have the patent of showing off your leg in a high slit dress, and yet it became hers, for better or worse.

And yes, I do think that George has a rivalry going with Brad (unbeknownst to Pitt or Pitt just doesn’t give a damn), especially since he got with Angelina. Brad and Angelina are good about stepping into the background when the other is promoting something, but even when Angelina steps into the shadow, she still steals the spotlight. Yes, the O13 Cannes premiere was packed with star power, but Angelina in her yellow dress and later, Angelina in that yellow dress in the back seat of a car kissing Brad Pitt was a moment.

And given how Brad and Angelina have evolved over the years, Clooney knew that PDA with a fresh new face/piece wasn’t going to cut it anymore. Last year was probably the clincher, when Angelina was going through her double mastectomy surgeries and yet, being present for her and Hague’s trips to warzones and participating in summits about making rape a war crime. Couple that with the NYT article, the public discussion about the BRCA mutations, women’s choice regarding their health, and Angelina’s appearances on the red carpets with a clearly still very smitten Brad Pitt, who didn’t, ever, position himself as an interpreter/sage regarding Angelina’s decision and the implications for millions of women and their loved ones. Pitt was a supporter, whereas Clooney would’ve relish in ‘articulating how women in Angelina’s position must have felt’ – I say this because Clooney has a knack of speaking on other people’s experiences without having a remote clue to the complexities involved. And getting back to Pitt, yes, he triumphed with promoting the $h!t out of WWZ by being the face of it, but he took a back seat to Steve McQueen, the cast and the Northup descendants when 12YAS was on the awards trail. And despite many people screaming at Pitt to hustle and promote 12YAS, he remained behind the scenes and ultimately, it won the best picture and BSA Oscars. Clooney’s example in years past was cited time and time again but Pitt did it his way and it worked.

Maybe Clooney is nervous because Clooney’s tried and true wasn’t working anymore and that high profile like Pitt and Jolie aren’t following it. But if he thinks that he’s making Amal into Jolie’s image, he better think again. If Amal was truly in Jolie’s image, Clooney should be really scared, because unlike Pitt, who seems to handle the fact that Jolie can and does outshine him (and I’m saying this as a BP fan to the core), there is no way that Clooney could handle that dynamic.

      No fcuking way!

      • zut alors! says:

I agree with what you wrote. I think George may have been peeved that Angelina received the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian Award before him. He is after all, Hollywood’s premier humanitarian.

I also think Angelina refuses to put up with his patented Mr. Hollywood schtick whereas Brad goes along with the flow.

    • Anne says:

I agree with you that George comes off as fake compared with the Jolie/Pitts. I’ve been a fan of his for a long time and I’m quite annoyed with him now. The man has a history of relationships that seemed like b.s. contractual arrangements. It was always the weird thing about Clooney. It was the side of him that seemed to lack substance or be dishonest in some way. It undermined his credibility in my view. It doesn’t strike me as impossible that he would upgrade to an arrangement that involves marriage when that parade of girlfriends had become something people were increasingly willing to see through and to question.
I also share the impression that George has been impressed by/envious of the image that Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have of educated humanitarian concern and engagement. Their commitment, particularly Angelina’s, is admirable. It feels genuine, important and is a fresh, modern and powerful use of celebrity.
Sorry, but I do think George is trying to reshape his image in the model of what Angelina & Brad have demonstrated. And I think he is chasing image over substance. It feels manipulative and dishonest to me. I hope I’m wrong. As I said, I’ve always liked him.

      • Messenger says:

Everyone must remember that publicity is the name of the game. Whether it be one’s wedding or interest in the underprivileged, the name attached to anything announced to the public, promotes them. I take everything i read about celebrities with a grain of salt because of this. Anything can be faked including pictures in far off lands and titles bestowed by royalty to health issues. Done properly and for the right reasons, we need never know about the private lives of people who can well afford to keep them private. As I was told when I was little and used to blab what I gave up for Lent, to be a true sacrifice: “You’re not supposed to tell anybody!” It’s too much like bragging.

  9. Idil13 says:

There is only One Angelina Jolie

  10. yikes says:

That picture of her surrounded by all the old dudes is VERY, VERY creepy. Not sure what the intent was, but very awkward. And, yes, the hard work begins after the honeymoon!

    • Someonestolemyname says:

She looks rather cheap in that photo.
She is going to love hitting those redcarpets and posing.

    • emmie_a says:

Creepy yes but it totally suits her LOOK AT ME ME ME need! I didn’t care for her much before and now I flat out can’t stand her. Their PR bull crap is backfiring.

  11. shunty says:

This couple is growing on me. Fix it, Jesus.
Why would she want to be Angelina or duchess kate? She’s Amal. I don’t see that as copying though

    • Jaderu says:

They’re growing on me too. It’s past the annoying part and the sheer thirst of it all is now entertaining. I can’t seem to help myself.

    • Esmom says:

Ooh, these photos are having the opposite effect on me, for the first time I felt real dislike for her.

      • Anne says:

I felt real dislike beginning with the pap walks when she was clearly reveling in being the celebrated center of attention. I don’t like being the cynical one but it just strikes me as an ugly way to be.

      • How can you dislike someone you don’t even know? All this Angelina and Amal talk; they don’t even know each other. The time line of when George met Amal and when they married does not coincide with the parts of the world where the tabloids have put Angelina and Brad. Why can’t all you people just wish them well and stop speculating on things you cannot possibly know for sure.

  12. TX says:

Are they thirsty or do they just know that they have two options: be open and rake in $ for charity, or try to be secret and deal with leaks and stalkerazzi? I feel like just being open may cut down on a lot of anxiety and trouble.

I think the fact that we can’t be for sure where they are honeymooning if proof that it’s the former. They sold out upfront but disappeared to enjoy their time together.

  13. Eleonor says:

“one photo of Amal in her wedding gown, laughing with her head thrown back, and I swear she’s copying a classic Angelina Jolie pose”
I’ve done that pose too, mostly for joke, I didn’t know Angelina owns it.

This looks like the longest wedding EVER.
    And Bill Murray rules.

    • lisa2 says:

She doesn’t “own it”..and she hasn’t said such. I think all the Angie talk is unfair and it just opens doors for people to rag on her when she has nothing to do with this wedding or this couple

      • Eleonor says:

I was rolling my eyes at that phrase, what am I saying is that not all the women who do that particular pose are copying Angelina Jolie, I didn’t even remember seeing Angelina like that, or the pose is so banal I haven’t even noticed it.
I am saying it’s tiring this “she is copying” …while Angelina Jolie was the last person this wedding makes me think.
The supposed “rivality” between Angie and Amal is something tabloid are building day after day. I believe both women, Angelina and Amal, probably don’t give a s@#t about each.

    • Artemis says:

Jolie owns everything, don’t you know? She also owns the exclusive right to be a slender smart beautiful brunette apparently….All these complaints does not compute!

Anyway, I find Amal’s style 1000x better than Jolie’s. She’s quirky and daring. I like it and it’s great for gossip. And my, how photogenic she is! That mirror photo is amazing. I could do without George’s smarmy face with a half collapsed mouth tbh.

      • Captain says:

I think if anything she’s got Betty Davis’ eyes )))

      • Artemis says:

A bit yeah, but Amal’s aren’t bug-eyed. Bot ladies have gorgeous eyes!

BD just so happens to be my fav Old Hollywood actress btw 🙂

    • Virgilia Coriolanus says:

I’m thinking that was said (Angelina owns that pose) because she did it during the LA, black tie premiere of Benjamin Button–when Brad wore the tux/bow tie outfit, and Angelina wore that long, black, strapless (satin?) gown with the gold earrings……she did the head thrown back and laughing pose in front of the cameras after Brad said something to her…..but yeah, she doesn’t ‘own’ it. And no one but a fan would know that she’d done that….it’s not like ‘The Leg’…

  14. Charlie says:

They seem happy. And she is so beautiful. And smart. Real or not, George did pretty good.

Also, Emily Blunt never looks happy in pictures.

    • Esmom says:

Not sure but Emily Blunt might have a pretty powerful resting bitchface. I thought she looked stunning.

    • Josefa says:

I love Emily but she’s got a severe case of resting bitchface. Even when she smiles she looks upset, lol.

  15. mandy says:

Just a word horrible ! Business’s couple ! So sad. No kiss no complicity !
Bizar george doesn’t want to give personal information and oops there are soo much personal information and pics !
Its no logical ! For 2 humans protectors there are many dollars in their marrriage and honeymoon !
George will be never never brad and angie !
George and amal are just a rrangement political.
He know amal since long time and sudden he wants to married her.
Gigi give the information that he want about them.
I dont believe about their story.
    Think viagra amal.

    • Observer says:

If there was no kiss in church it’s because that’s tradition. It only started with Hollywood movies. You are not supposed to kiss in church, the “You may now kiss the bride” is a Hollywood invention.
You usually kiss on the church steps outside the church door.

      • Jen2 says:

They got married in a hotel, not a church and there was no religion involved as they were married by a civil servant (former Mayor).

  16. Messenger says:

    Mazel tov.

  17. Kiddo says:

    BILL MURRAY IS EVERYTHING. EVERYTHING.

They had a good photographer. Enough already, though.
That red dress on the older woman is not good.

  18. Mrs Darcy says:

To me this is the weirdest picture.. https://amalalamuddinstyle.files.wordpress.com/2014/10/image112.jpg?w=640&h=480

had she friends with all of them for years? No? Then it is a very odd picture. Certainly not for a high powered ‘barrister’.

    • Someonestolemyname says:

That’s the photo that convinced me shes a total famewhora.

Is that thong, showing ? I hope that’s what it is?

      • chick b. says:

Oh, dear. Famewhore: party of 2 much? From the looks of it Miguel isn’t even buying this ish.

Also, I do love Richard Kind. He tells a great story (aired on NPR, I believe) about how he tried to propose to his wife. I won’t even try to retell it because Kind’s inflections are what sells it.

And…Clooney’s blasé face reminds me of Timberlake’s goofy wedding cover. That is all.

  19. Someonestolemyname says:

Are they copying Kate and William for this aspect of their wedding?
Honeymoon in Seychellles and now Daily Mail and the Mirror are reporting George bought Amal a Mansion in Berkshire?

    Concerning the publicity roll out…
These two are Famewhoring this wedding! Wow, they love their publicity.
This woman is a total famewhore, the Vanity Fair picture with her leg up posing for camera with short dress said it all. Famewhore and loving it!

  21. Observer says:

I want to know what song she walked down the aisle to and what their first dance song was 😉

  22. Jayna says:

I haven’t seen the full spread in People or the other magazine except what’s been posted on here and the Daily Mail last week.

Those are really stunning wedding photos in that magazine. I just love that gown on her. I am still so in love with the French lace. I love that gown on her because she is such a slender woman, not much in the hip area, and the gown is a great silhouette on her, fills her out, which is why it’s so flattering on her, but isn’t too poofy in the skirt. I like it better when in the ceremony the off-shoulder sleeves are higher up. I think the gown is more beautiful that way when being shot looking straight at the gown. She has them lower for the reception once out of the wedding ceremony, but that looks great in photos also. They both look happy. I enjoyed seeing actual shots of the ceremony, which did look fairly intimate, and the first dance.

    • FingerBinger says:

I liked the dress too. It was simple. Nothing too extravagant even though I’m sure it probably cost a pretty penny.

    • LAK says:

she’s a very slender woman, but she does have hips. you can see it in this picture. her waist to hip ratio is very clearly defined.

      http://cdn03.cdn.justjared.com/wp-content/uploads/headlines/2014/06/amal-alamuddin-displays-her-tiny-waist.jpg

the problem is that she wears sack dresses most of the time which swamp her slender figure and so it gives impression that her figure is drainpipe shape when it is not.

      • Someonestolemyname says:

        Those are hip BONES.
I saw that jeans and midriff shirt photo in the summer, this woman is a stick?

      • LAK says:

Just because someone is extremely slender, with jutting hip bones doesn’t mean they can’t have that a defined waist.

The shirt isn’t hugging her body on the sides. you can clearly see the dip from her hip bone inwards.

Plus her shoulders are at the same width as her hips but not the point that is her waist.

obviously as a very slender person, it’s alot harder to see the defined waist unlike someone like Kim K, but it is there.

      • Someonestolemyname says:

That’s true, but I just don’t see hips on her, to me it looks more like hip bones.

  23. GingerCrunch says:

All that money bought a pretty ordinary wedding, IMO. Anybody remember Melissa Rivers’ wedding? THAT was a spectacular wedding.

    • thinkaboutit says:

I agree. Incessant famewhoring aside, the most disappointing thing about this wedding is the actual wedding. Looks completely upscale middle of the road, from her dress to the flowers to the hideous cake. Nothing spectacular except the thirst level.

    • Charlie says:

I like ordinary weddings. One day, when I will get married it will be as ordinary as possible. I don’t get these huge extravaganza weddings that have to be oh so special.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Yes, I hate the idea that the more money you spend, and the more extravagant and ostentatious it is, the more it means. I like weddings that incorporate a lot of personal touches that are meaningful to the couple, where your true friends are with you and the room is filled with love, laughter, maybe a few tears and joy. Spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on a wedding doesn’t make it more beautiful.

  24. lisa2 says:

I truly wish (but it won’t happen) that Brad and Angie stop being dragged into the stories about George and Amal. They were not even at the wedding and they are mentioned more in every story than the 4 or 5 other celebs that were actually there. No mention of Matt/Lucy, John/Emily nor Cindy/Rande.. it is story after story associating Brad and Angie to George and Amal. To my knowledge Brad nor Angie have said ONE word about George and his marriage. Brad’s GQ interview was done before his marriage and therefore before George’s..and outside of being asked about something GEORGE had said about him in an interview they have not said a word. Yet there are comments about them being jealous of GA or worried about GA being the new biggest thing in the world. WTH.. why were these stories not out there when BA got married. Nobody talked about George and Amal not attending. Amal is not in show business. She is NOT an actor/ actress. She is George’s Clooney’s wife.. The only time I would imagine her on a RC is when George is promoting something. George usually doesn’t attend events unless it is about his work. So unless that changes when is Amal suppose to be the talk Of Hollywood. I guess i’m missing something in all of this. If she is all of a sudden on mag covers then that will be something to talk about; because then it would be obvious that this is not about her work but his work or future plans.

I swear Angie has to be compared to every woman.. all the time; looks, weight, fashion, parenting, acting, income, DAMN. is there no one else to use as an example. It happens all the time.. no matter the topic.. someone always sneaks in a reference to Angie/Brad..

They are working on a film. We have not seen them since September 21st. Yet they are being talked about like they have something to do with George and Amal wedding. I am SMDH..

    • Suze says:

For an “old time Hollywood glamour” wedding, relatively few Hollywood stars were there. A handful. Lots of George’s friends and Amal’s family. Which is great, and what the couple wanted, but it’s not exactly super Hollywood glossy.

And I agree wholeheartedly that Brad and Angie had nothing to do with this wedding. It’s a bit puzzling why they are mentioned so much.

    • LAK says:

it’s the new triangle [rectangle?] of doom. Now that the original triangle of doom has been killed off [I hope] by BA’s marriage, this is the new angle for the public and the tabloids to gossip about.

      • Jen2 says:

I somehow see the old triangle coming back if and when JustJen do or don’t get married. The tabloids don’t give a rip, they just want to make up dirt. Then they will have the Brad and Angelina vs Amalooney on the next week’s cover. But, the key is Brad and Angelina. They are the money makers and the tabloids just can’t let them be left out of other people’s lives even when they have absolutely nothing to do with them. It is kind of creepy really.

    • maddelina says:

lisa2, who cares? it was actually predictable. George and Brad are equal as far as star power and Amal is the whole package. Education, brains, beauty and connections. Perhaps people find the JP’s boring and want someone new to fan over. Personally I’ve enjoyed the wedding photos and find Amal intriquing.

      • Jen2 says:

Then why bring Brad and Angelina up, just fawn over Amal and leave them out of it. I think that is Lisa’s point. Brad and Angelina have zero to do with this and unless there is something missing in the George and Amal story, and if Brad and Angelina are so boring, then there is no need to even mention them.

      • lisa2 says:

If they find the JPs so boring then don’t bring them up.. If George and Amal are the “NEW THING” then they should be able to stand solely alone and carry the story all on their own.. but that has not happened. ‘

So great.. I would love for some of the people ranting about Brad and Angie to take all that energy and put it all on the fascinating and intriguing Amal.. but that doesn’t seem to be happening without mentioning Brad or Angie and trying to portray them as less.

so how intriguing can you be if you can’t carry the story or attention all on your own. Brad and Angie can..

        @jen2..

        YES TO THAT…

      • Someonestolemyname says:

Brad is a bigger star than George. Imo
Angelina is a phenomenon all her own.

  25. Paige says:

I doubt Angelina and Amal are in any type of fued. The media loves drama. However, how many magazine covers do George and Amal need? It is just ridiculous at this point, they have as many covers as the Royals. People on here complained about Brad and Angie having two and most of the pics being the same. Well they have four covers and all have different pics.

  26. lisa says:

why does mrs bean always stand with her elbows glued to her side like that, she looks so awkward

    • Someonestolemyname says:

Yes the way she holds her arms is weird.
My neighbor looking at the wedding coverage said she thinks Amal has what they use to call a bird chest or bird ribcage, which makes her arms fall a certain way.
I still don’t know what she meant exactly.

      • Hazel says:

My mother used to call that ‘chicken-chested’. She said Marie Osmond was an example of that. The sternum is a little more foreward & central than it otherwise might be. Although I’m not quite sure how this affects the arm carriage.

  27. MediaMaven says:

I really think this is all about political aspirations. I think he’s tired of acting, has amassed enough of a fortune to keep himself amused for the rest of his life, and is working on an ambassadorship to some country in conflict. If he can keep her fame-whoring in check, then she would be a total asset (as opposed to some of the waitresses and D-list ex-girlfriends).

    • Anne says:

Hmm, I don’t think he has political aspirations. I think he just became aware that his personal life had become a national joke and he envies the substantial image that Pitt & Jolie have cultivated over the years. Cue the fame-hungry lawyer.

  28. Miss M says:

Such an international couple! All around the world and a wedding spread in every magazine of every country!

  29. Bubulle says:

I believe there is no honeymoon at all, they took their separate ways right after the wedding, their will be probably no pics, 3 different locations have leaked morocco, the seychelles and now england, sounds fishy.

  30. Lila says:

So in addition to being smart and beautiful, Amal is also very photogenic and appears to be a lot of fun. I bet that is what party boy George likes best about her. This looks like a gorgeous wedding and everyone looks like they are having way too much fun for me to famewhore shade.

As far as it all bring fake, compared to what? All marriages are different. They are both clearly happy to be there and they got married. It is a marriage rather it meets everyone’s standards or not. So congrats to them! And please keep bringing the clothes and parties for me to envy!

    • Captain says:

They laugh a lot with each other. That’s adorable and a great sign for a relationship. And Amal is so blooming gorgeous in all those pictures. I hope she’s happy with her fairy tale wedding and obviously there is something about George that I can’t see, if she likes him that much. I am not irritated by her smiles at all, why would she look upset, she’s the bride and the star of the event.

  31. Isabella says:

Vanity Fair Italy is a weekly magazine, not monthly

  32. taxi says:

In the Italian pics, her hands are not attractive – weird thumbs, bone-y, crone-y fingers.

  33. Someonestolemyname says:

    theory ……

I think it’s GEORGE (not Amal) who wants to be on the world level of ANGELINA…
..the Queen made Angelina a DAME, Angelina is respected worldwide on many levels and although George is respected for his work in charities and as a international film star ,he still has not reached the heady heights that Angelina has on some level.

Angelina received the Humanitarian OSCAR for her works this year.

George suddenly is getting the highest level Golden Globe award.

Angelina alone is a worldwide phenomenon, respected for her work in charities and as a film star.
George is a worldwide star and a respected film star, but he is not the worldwide phenomenon that Angeina is. IMO.

I think George wants to reach the level of Angelina and Amal wants to live the economic lifestyle of a Duchess Kate and with George she can to a certain level. She may even have a Baby George one day too. 🙂

Also if they are setting up house in Berkshire U.K. right now , I don’t think this is about Political office in the U.S. for George. It’s about something InternTional as others have said.

I don’t think it’s going to play out as George hopes ,with the public.

    • norah says:

as stated earlier gc has always been envious/jealous of bp – so many mags and tv events where he name drops bp even when he didnt need to. and i definitely do think that he wants amal and him to be the anti bp/aj – it must be so annoying that even at gc’s wedding – pple wondering where bp and aj were – the fact that the wedding was so over the top that the concensus was ” better version of kimye” ouch that must have hurt. I think that gc’s time in hw is slowing down already – none of his films have done well so far so he probably wanted to change the conversation and get married instead.

  34. Addison DeWitt says:

I don’t get George’s pained looks in some of the pictures. Amal looks fantastic! I wish I was less hour glass shaped when I see her in some if these outfits. Who cares if it’s a marriage of convenience or not; they’re both adults. It’s not like Amal is 20 and just learning about how the world works.

  35. Jh says:

Serious question: why does everyone think he is gay? I’ve never heard any gossip about a secret life unlike other superstars.

    • Anne says:

Hi, I’ve asked the same question. It all seems to be speculation, but, for whatever reason, there are recurring rumors that George is known to be gay. I’m a bit surprised by them, too, as I’ve never gotten that impression from him. It’s just curiously persistent talk.
Also, some people seem to have the impression that many of his public relationships have seemed *false*, and there is speculation that his being gay might be one possible motivation for a string of “show-mances.”

      • Check out George’s web page he talks about all the practical jokes he and Bad have played n each other, Someone interviewing Brad asked him if George was Gay and he said yes, definitely; it was not true he was just playing a practical joke on George.
But of course people took that and ran with it.

  36. Louise177 says:

How many magazines do they need to sell to? Hate to make the comparison but when Brad and Angelina released a statement and sold their photos it was claimed they were the biggest mediawhores. Yet George promoted and practically invited the media to his wedding. Then sold photos to everyone and people call it elegant and old Hollywood. I think with so much post-nuptial media, people are just starting to call him out.

    • Paige says:

LOL So true. I revisited their wedding thread and two people on here dragged Brad and Angie for having two wedding covers and called them famewhores that thought they were royalty, but now Amal and George have several magazine covers and all this publicity and the same two people just praise them and call them a classic Hollywood couple.

  37. Other Kitty says:

I frankly don’t see why it matters what the REASON IS behind the marriage. So what if it’s an arrangement? If they both are happy with it, why shouldn’t they do it? What difference does it make to the world? Plenty of people don’t marry for love. I don’t see anything wrong with it as long as they are both pleased with the arrangement.

  38. boredblond says:

Ite official! He’s now Cloodashian. I’ve added the term to my dictionary. Not a kilo of class between the two of them.

    • Sarah says:

Someone alert Nik Richie, I’ve got a new term created by boredblond of celebitchy that I propose be added to the Dirty Dictionary, it’s Cloodashian.

I mean that as a compliment, not an insult.

  39. Josefa says:

I guess Brangelina has oficially reached God-tier now. They are an omnipresent entity. Even when they have nothing to do with a certain event, they had something to do with that certain event. Come on guys, I love Brangie, but it’s not like Seychelles is located in outer space. It’s an exotic, paradise-like island lots of couples would love to spend their honeymoon in, though few can afford it.

    • lisa2 says:

First of all the fans didn’t bring up the location of the Honeymoon. Nor the comparison. That was in the thread by the site.

I think everyone is free to go wherever they want. The story of going to Seychelles is from gossip sites that are saying Brad recommended the location. .Which I kind of doubt. But again what is a story about anyone unless you can make some random connection to Brad/Angie.. Even is they are out of site and have said not one word.

  40. EmmGee says:

I’ve never thought of Clooney as gay; I see him more asexual–like a Ken Doll with smooth anatomical parts. It gives me the sads that in this day and age, if he WAS gay, that he would feel he needs to go to such lengths to hide it. The mark of a good actor, in my opinion, is one who will make you forget who they are in “real” life and instead see them as the character they portray on-screen. Amal seems manufactured to fit the image of a perfect match for George, and that in itself feels odd to me. She must’ve undergone very good media training in anticipation of their very public relationship because she handles it like a seasoned professional. We’ve yet to see a bad picture of her, nor has there been any negative press with regard to her past. That being said, I sincerely hope that for whatever reason they are together, be it love, arranged bearding, or societal acceptance, they are happy in their decision and use their public presence to achieve great things.

    • norah says:

there is already stirrings of publicity especially abt her family members – won’t take long for all the negativitiy to come out – i think that gc made a mistake with amal. if he loves her that is good but tbh her family are not coming across as being especially good – her uncle supposed to be an arms dealer apparently.wait and see

    • Anne says:

I love your comment and I agree with what you say. Just an aside: IF Clooney is leading a closeted life (like you, I’ve never thought of him that way) then I don’t think it is because the external pressures of Hollywood or public expectation are forcing him to. I think he has wanted and actively pursued the public persona of Classic Hollywood (read: romantic & heterosexual) Leading Man. I think he plays that part beautifully, with a great deal of charm. He seems to have an innate understanding of what a portion of the public wants from “Movie Stars” (a dying breed) and he spends a great deal of effort, in my opinion, manufacturing that incredibly lucrative image. Amal, in my opinion, is part of that insight and that strategy. But, whatever the nature of why and how they came together, I wish them happiness together. It does, as they say, take all kinds.

  41. sanders says:

I’ve never been interested in George Clooney until now. I love Amal! She is so amazing, beautiful and accomplished. She actually went to Oxford on a scholarship, not her family’s money. That’s a lot more than you can say for George’s previous amours.

    I particularly liked this quote:
Writer Kathy Lette, who is married to Alamuddin’s colleague Geoffrey Robertson, says that Clooney is “very, very lucky to have her”.

“The woman is a brilliant lawyer, jaw-droppingly beautiful, perspicacious, principled, passionate about human rights,” Lette said.

“Wise, witty generous, a woman’s woman, a good laugh and great fun.”

    http://www.news.com.au/

    • Someonestolemyname says:

      Kathy Lette also says…
She was a writer on Facts of Life and George asked her out and she turned him down because he was a lowly actor. Now she’s banging her head that she did.
      Also
      Quote:
George casually asked me out for coffee one day. I said (and I can hardly type this without banging my head on the desk repeatedly) no. ‘I’m a writer, I don’t go out with actors,’ I replied in a supercilious voice. ‘You put other people’s words in your mouth, when you never know where they’ve been.’
Fast forward a few years. I was by now living in London with two small babies, delirious with lack of sleep and covered in baby sick, when one of my American writer pals visited. As I rustled up some supper, the medical drama ER was on TV in the background. Ogling Dr Ross, I gushed, ‘Oh, I could swim a mile through a pool of my own drool to get to that love god.’
My writer friend looked at me with incredulity. ‘But…but…that’s George Clooney. That’s the guy who you turned down for coffee!’ I let out a scream that could be heard on the Mir Space Station, then lay in the foetal position and sobbed for two days. Can you blame me?
Twenty-seven years on from his coffee offer, George is marrying a human rights lawyer. Which is, ironically, exactly what I did. Marrying into a life in the law may sound glamorous, but for the uninitiated (ie, George), let me offer a few survival tips. First off, the spouse of a human rights lawyer must get used to the fact that you will always come second. Yes, your legal eagle other half adores you, but they’re also very busy saving the world which means they work 24/7. And mainly for free.
      ………
      And
She also says George should get ready for despots and criminals being invited in their houses.
And George will never win a argument with Amal and never come first.

I don’t know what Georges’ end game is or if he has one for that matter. I remember when Amal turned down the position on United Nations’ three-member commission on possible violations of the rules of war in Gaza. Then before or after; I can’t recall which.. George stepped down in his position for the UN.. I thought all that was interesting. That someone it all went together.

I don’t believe in these contracts. I just don’t , But I do think they have a long range plan in motion. I don’t think it is George running for Politics. But we will see won’t we.

Also, she should stop wearing such short skirts. It makes her look slutty and try-hard at the same time. She’s too old for the flapper dress in the VF photos.

It just seems so strange that when brad and angelina got married and sold the wedding pictures to people and hello pple kept on jumping down on that and yet when gc and amal have gone beyond that and released even their marriage certificate nobody is saying anything at all – double standard imo. I think gc wants to position himself internationally – for sure – interesting which un post he wants to go after next – though he stepped down from the last one just before his marriage. If not politics then what next i wonder? and will be interesting if he moves from the usa to the uk on a more permanet basis.
