June Shannon on Anna being abused: ‘she’s lied about certain things too’

June Shannon of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo took her tour of lies to the Dr. Phil show. The straight-talking psychologist called her out while June just looked angry and defiant. Phil has said as much in an interview with TMZ, that June is full of it. We all know this, but it was morbidly fascinating to me to watch her do it yet again. On Dr. Phil, June continued to claim that she has only seen Mark McDaniel twice, the man who molested her oldest daughter, Anna. She claimed the first time was a coincidence and that the second time was just to give closure to her daughter Lauryn (Pumpkin), 14, who mistakenly believed McDaniel was her father. Photos show that June has been out with McDaniel multiple times, but she insisted that the photo of her in bed with McDaniel was Photoshopped. (As she also claimed on ET.) You could see right through her lies though. Here’s some of what she told Phil:

Dr. Phil: If you make a mistake and then [fans] feel like you blatantly lied to them about it they’re less forgiving. I think people want you to be completely honest about what mistakes you have made so they can say ‘wow, she gets it.’

On the picture of her in bed with McDaniel: it’s photoshopped but she flubs her rehearsed response
June: We have a thing showing that that picture right there has been Photoshopped by a company. There is an email I have that that picture, it proves it has been photoshopped. He did tell me that I needed to try to get it from TMZ but I tried to do that and TMZ refused to give it to me because it was sold to them and now it is property of theirs.

Dr. Phil asked her to show him which part of that photo has been photoshopped
If you look at me, I am totally laying in the bed. And if you see the full picture, he is fully dressed.

On the photo of her with McDaniel and Alana on the stairs
My kids don’t go anywhere without me, 24 hours a day. You know, that day I went, all my kids were there. All he said to [Alana] was ‘hey’ and that’s it. She pretty much doesn’t know anything about like the past or anything like that.

‘But you took her to meet a registered sex offender… he now has her in his crosshairs’
He doesn’t see her now, no.

‘If you had to that over again would you take Alana there?’
I probably wouldn’t even take Pumpkin there. Like I said before, I made a mistake, no parent is perfect.

Dr. Phil reads Anna’s statement about McDaniel being a child molester. The quote ends with Anna quoting June’s response that “mama was like ‘oh, he’s never done it to another girl.”
As far as I know, he’s never done it to another person. Me and Anna has talked about this. I’ve told her how sorry I am. Me and Anna has talked every day. We have talked, you know, several times.

Anna feels betrayed
I know that, that’s what she’s told me. The only way I can fix is constantly apologize for that that is to be there for her and try to move on from the situation. I know it’s hard to move on because she feels like she’s reliving it again but in some instances she’s lied about certain things too.

Why she didn’t believe Anna was being molested
For five years I was with this guy, I never suspected. I worked night shift [at McDonalds] he worked day shift [at a security job]. We were sitting there eating, they’re busting down the door like a drug bust… I don’t get any information… I’m like ‘what the hell is going on…’ He gets locked up. I even call the jail, the jail won’t tell me anything. I did not know for a couple months what he was actually locked up for.

‘Anna told you’ [what he was locked up for]
No, Anna did not tell me. My mother did not tell me what he was accused of. I did not know Anna’s side of the story until she moved in with me two and a half years ago.

‘[Anna] says when she told you, you did not believe her’
When my mother, not Anna. A person I’ve been with for 5 years. I don’t know that that person can do that. Now that Anna has told me two and a half years ago, I believe it. I wanted to talk to Anna to get her side of the story but I was never able to.

‘What is your understanding of what he did to her’
That he touched her in inappropriate places, made her watch like videos and stuff.

‘Why did TLC cancel your show?’
Honestly and this is truthful. We knew to get through October 19th was season 3A. The kids were acting like they wasn’t into it anymore because we’ve been doing it two and a half years. We went on break… that’s why they has called and says ‘look we’re going to cancel the show.’ I have nothing bad to say about TLC, they have been good to me. The rumor is that I was not going to get paid for this show, I did get paid for whatever was owed to me. My kids got paid to their trust funds. They’re still taking care of the girls with tutoring… which I’m very grateful for… After two and a half years, you could tell the girls were starting to get wore out and I mentioned that to the production company.

I think this has something to do with it, but I don’t think it was the full decision of why.

‘Do you think they cancelled this show because of your relationship with a registered sex offender?’
I think that had to do a part of it but I don’t think that was the full extent of why the show got cancelled.

Dr. Phil brings up the photo in bed again. ‘You know whether you were in that bed or not’
No I wasn’t. If I was there, I’d say ‘yeah, I was.’ There is a picture that is similar to me laying in the bed with Sugar Bear. Like I said, Alana takes like pictures all the times on her iPad and stuff like that. There is a picture that I’ve even shown Sugar Bear that is similar on her iPad, yeah…

On if the state will take away her kids
I can’t talk about that issue… I did have to sign something with them saying that I would not have Alana or Pumpkin around Mr. McDaniel, which I did explain to her is not going to happen again. We’re not together. I don’t want to be with him. Ever since this has gone down Sugar has been back in the home to be supportive.

On if Sugar Bear cheated on her
He has admitted to cheating to other girls to text messages to talking to the girls… and that was a big reason why we broke up back in September… I didn’t say that we was going to get back together, I just know that he wants to try to get his family back together… I love Sugar Bear to the extent that he’s the father of Alana. As far as being in love with him, with all the cheating that he’s done, he knows that I have fell out of love.

‘Have you cheated on him?’
No, I don’t do that.

‘Was it a betrayal for you to talk to Mark?’
No. We was not together when that transpired no.

‘As a mother, do you consider it your job to protect your children?’
My kids are number 1 in my life.

‘Did you fail to protect Anna?’
I do in a way feel like I failed to project Anna, but I didn’t know. She admitted that too. I was at work when this happened. I knew nothing.

‘Can you project Pumpkin now?’
Yeah, I can protect Pumpkin, I can protect Alana I can protect Jessica even though she’s 18.

Dr. Phil calls her out on her four relationships with convicts
I don’t have a perfect past either.

‘You don’t think Mark just started [abusing] after he met you?’
I wasn’t with him before I can’t tell you that. Common sense tells me a molester can do it again but then I’ve heard child molestators [sic] can be what they call rehabilitated.

What she will do for money now
There’s money put back that I was smart and I put back for myself that I could live on for a while. The girls’ futures are secure.

‘Anna has alleged that you have rifled her 30,000 trust fund’
I gave her $475 [a month] for a cell phone bill…. because she cannot stop buying games, buying music. Plus I was giving her $400 a month. I didn’t have to give her that until she was 21. Plus I have a cashier’s check that I have sent her which was the rest of the money in her account.

What was the last job she had?
I worked at the Flash Food, it’s like the maintenance store in [inaudible]

Claims she’s legally blind
Also I was on disability because I’m legally blind. I’m totally blind in this eye and legally blind in this eye. [points to eyes]

Denies she tried to commit suicide
The lies now that I try to commit suicide by taking over the counter pills was a lie. I have never had a suicidal bone in my body. I would never take pain pills.

Asked her if she was with Mark McDaniel or had any relationship with him.
No, no, no.

[From The Dr. Phil show, aired 11-17-14]

Notice that when Phil asked June to point out the part of the image of her in bed with McDaniel that was Photoshopped she only claimed that McDaniel was clothed, she didn’t say her head was pasted on or anything. She only elaborated on that lie later.

After June’s interview, they aired a segment with Sugar Bear and Lauryn/Pumpkin. Sugar Bear admitted to flirting with women on Facebook, and said that he’s somewhat sad the show is ending for his daughters’ sake. Pumpkin had some negative things to say about Anna. She said she doesn’t have a relationship with Anna and explained that “my thing is, if we’re supposed to be your family than why would you go about what someone else says. You would just listen to them and not listen to what your mama has to say.” She said that McDaniel raised her from when she was 3 months old to when she was 4 and that he gave her the nickname Pumpkin. Lauryn claimed that she spent only an hour with McDaniel in their latest and only meeting after he got out of prison. She “wanted to actually know for sure if he did what he did.” Pumpkin said she didn’t ask McDaniel if he committed the crime against her sister because “I feel like that’s kinda, that’s not something you ask somebody.” She said she felt better after the meeting, which she requested, but that “if I knew it was going to blow up as big as it has, I wouldn’t have asked.

Uncle Poodle, June’s brother-in-law, has an interview with Dr. Phil that will air today. He basically says that June is lying and that she’s been sleeping with McDaniel. In the preview clip he said that he’s seen McDaniel in bed with both Alana (Honey Boo Boo) and June.

I know this has been long and I want to wrap it up, but I just want to revisit what Lauryn said about Anna. She said that Anna listened to “what somebody else says… and not listen to what your mama has to say.” I interpret that as Lauryn stating that she doesn’t believe Anna was really molested, that she believes their grandmother convinced Anna she was abused. Of course that’s subjective, but doesn’t it sound like that’s what Lauryn said? June seems to really hate Anna for reporting McDaniel for abusing her. Anna was just eight years old at the time and June still seems to blame her for his incarceration. That is some twisted reasoning to say the least.

She looks possessed in the top picture.

  2. Veronica says:

She is an awful human being.

    • grimmsfairytale says:

My reaction when looking at her face now is a very hostile “THIS B!TCH AGAIN” with a murderous groan.
I can’t stand picking the man over your child, who he abuse. Deplorable. And she has the nerve to claim her kids are first. Unless they’re interfering with momma June gettin a man.

      • SunnySide says:

I think she is one of those women that when they find out that their man has been molesting their daughter that instead of recognizing it for what it is-exploitation and abuse- they see it as their daughter betraying them and “stealing their man”. That is how I interpret her “how could you do this to me” comment and her accusing Anna of lying.

Because an eight year old is a home wrecker, obvs. (In June’s world, not the real world)

I do not understand this phenomenon but I studied it as part of my major and it makes me sick….

  3. Common sense anyone? says:

How disturbing, she really needs these kids removed from her care and get professional help for herself.

  4. Anna says:

Note: Dr. Phil is not a psychologist. He’s a nutritionist who feels qualified to advise people on emotional issues. He’s Jenny Jones or Ricki Lake with a Southern accent.

Also, this mother is horrible. A child is never to blame if they are molested. It is not “their fault” that their attacker was incarcerated. That’s what SHOULD happen to molesters.

    • Goats on the Roof says:

I’m not fan of Dr. Phil by any stretch, but he does have a PhD in clinical psych and was a practicing psychologist for some time.

      • FLORC says:

Yea. He does have a phd in clinical psych. A lot of people still assume he’s using the title as just a stage title/name.

    • Sumodo1 says:

McGraw graduated in 1975 from Midwestern State University with a B.A. degree in psychology. He went on to earn an M.A. degree in experimental psychology in 1976, and a Ph.D. degree in clinical psychology in 1979 at the University of North Texas,[8] where his dissertation was titled “Rheumatoid Arthritis: A Psychological Intervention”.[9] McGraw was guided through the doctoral program by Frank Lawlis, who later became the primary contributing psychologist for the Dr. Phil television show.[10]
After obtaining his doctorate, McGraw joined his father, Joe McGraw, in Wichita Falls, Texas, where the elder McGraw had established his private psychology practice.[11]

    • tarheel says:

I think Phil McGraw is a smug jerko, but he has a Ph.D. in Clinical Psych, and when he isn’t being a preening famewhore, he is pretty good, mainly on DV and child abuse issues.

  5. Molly says:

This woman is a moron. It’s not amusing. She didn’t know what happened to Anna until two years ago? Is that a joke? Why does she keep dating child molesters?

    • Sam says:

It’s not a joke, it’s a flat out lie. Anna stated openly that she told her mother that McDaniel had abused her – maybe not in graphic detail, but she knew. That was when Anna said June stated, “I don’t believe you.” And there is no way in Heaven or Hell that the police, when Anna reported the abuse, would NOT have contacted June, specifically for 2 reasons: 1.) the abuse happened in her home, so she would need to be told, and 2.) June’s other daughter, Lauryn, was a witness to the abuse, and the police would have needed June’s consent to interview her or assess her for possible abuse as well.

I’m not sure if June presumes we are all so dumb that maybe she can get away with this or if this is real, genuine, desperation.

      • claire says:

Right. She hasn’t gotten Anna’s side of the story…but when another reporter interviewing her asked her if she had read the police report she said no. They tried to give her the police report and she said she didn’t want to read it.

Her lies are all falling apart on her. Stupid psycho.

      • Insomniac says:

I think June is one of those stupid people who believes everyone else is as stupid as she is, so she has no idea how absurd her stories really sound.

And when people start off declarations with things like “This is the honest truth,” they’re lying.

      • missy says:

She lied all the way thru that interview. First sh*thead raised Pumpkin from 2 months to 6 yrs, Pumpkin said 3 months to 4 yrs old. THere were several discrepancies Phil didn’t point out. My mind went blank can’t think if the other ones.

      • JenniferJustice says:

I think it’s desperation. It’s also denial. To admit she told her daughter that she did’t beleive her and to admit the cops did in fact make her brutally aware of the charges against McDaniel and question the other daughter’s possible contact with him, would mean admitting she knew, she stayed (maintained contact or a relationship with him), betrayed her daughter and chose a sexual predator over her victimized daughter. My mother did the same thing. Some people care way more about themselves and what people will think than they do about their own flesh and blood. It’s called narcissism. Sad but true.

  6. kri says:

I just want to punch her in her gross, lying, sadistic, stupid face.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

She is so infuriating. She’s not sorry for her daughter, she’s feeling like the victim herself. Just sickening.

      • Snazzy says:

It just makes me angry angry angry
blaming her poor daughter – convincing ither daughters it’s a lie … I just can’t understand

      • FLORC says:

Everytime she talks about Anna she seems to phrase it in an accusing tone. Like it’s Anna’s fault that man did that to her, went to jail, etc..
And when speaking of him she defends and protects.

Infuriating is correct. This woman is a monster. Her poor children.

      • JenniferJustice says:

No, she doesn’t feel sorry for her daughter. I’m willing to be she resents the hell out of her for dredging this up, ruining her new-found fame, income, and reputation as being “dumb, but harmelss and amusing.” She’s no longer considered harmelss. I sound like a broken record, but narcissists amaze me. They care so much more about appearances than they do actual people – even their own children. How can a stranger’s perception be more important than you children? That’s a rhetorical question, but one I continue to ask myself when it comes to people like June.

    • Darkladi says:

      Turd. That is all.

    • Maria says:

All of her inner ugliness is on the surface these days.

  7. Sarah says:

I hate her so much. There are more moms like this than you think.

  8. Christin says:

So in summary, the money train is derailed and it’s Anna’s fault. Apparently June lost PR help (if she ever had any) because she cannot keep the stories straight.

She’d never take a pain pill? Yeah, right.

    • Goats on the Roof says:

She would never take pain pills, or she would never take pain pills to try to commit suicide? Because wasn’t it just yesterday that she was whinging on about all her pain and her visits to pain management doctors? I’ve never known a pain management visit to not include pain killers of some sort.

      • missy says:

Exactly or being sent to a pain management dr. because one has been on pain pills for too long.

      • Lady D says:

I went to a pain management clinic. They drilled into my spine to run electric currents down to my feet. Had a couple epidurals, some acupuncture, but the worst were the needles. I was getting 20 needles shoved in each foot. On top, under the toes, heel and ankle. The the ones that made me wish I could pass out were the ones in the balls of my feet behind my big toes, every ten days. I went through that 4 times and said no more. I spent a childhood being tortured, and the pain of these needles sent me crashing into flashbacks. I couldn’t sleep, eat, or think straight. Not once was I given a pain killer. The idea was to manage the pain without narcotics. Let’s try this! or this! It was all for naught. I’m on morphine twice a day now.

  9. bammer says:

    That’s pure evil right there.

  10. Mia V. says:

What is worst than your daughter being molested as child and you not believing? June.

  11. Jackie Jormp Jomp says:

She “never” takes pain pills, but already said she has a pain management doctor. She’s so stupid she doesn’t evenunderstand how to lie…

  12. Sam says:

The Dr. Phil Interview was ridiculous. She and Lauryn couldn’t even get the story straight. June says Lauryn met the molester for “10 minutes” and Lauryn called it “about an hour.”

I wish when June does these interviews, they’d push her more. Anna lied? Okay June – about what? Stop dancing around and tell us every thing Anna has lied about. Tell us how you really feel about Anna and how you despise her. See, but she won’t, because even in her twisted mind, she knows that almost nobody will support her if she openly talks smack about an abuse victim. But I do so wish that she could really be put on the spot and told what a terrible human she is.

I have to wonder – how are they still living a semi-normal life? Are the people around them not feeling compelled to spit upon her when they go out in public? Does nobody get the urge to yell some choice words? I consider myself fairly slow to anger, but I can truthfully say that I’d have a tough time of it controlling my own emotions around somebody like June. Maybe it’s uncharitiable to say, but I hope her life is ruined by this. It would be deserved.

    • Christin says:

I hope someone investigates the amount of welfare benefits she collected / collects.

Someone dug up how many bankruptcies and various benefits the sister wives received. I have a feeling June’s history would be equally interesting.

    • missy says:

That was one I forgot too. That whole interview was full of crap. The new picture of them posted together on some other site they had different clothes on. And I thought it was said that she was sneaking off during filming to meet him.

    • Miriam says:

I read an article where it stated that June was trying to give Anna up for adoption, until her mother stepped in and took the child. don’t know if she adopted her.
The thing is; I don’t think June has the same feelings for Anna as she does for the other 3 daughters. Maybe if it would had happened to one of the other three daughters, she would have responded differently. She never bonded with Anna, I don’t think she sees her as one her daughters. She just used Anna for the show.

  13. vvvoid says:

It boggles my mind how many nonsensical lies this woman tells. She didn’t know what happened to Anna until two years ago? You see what she did there? She tries to somehow put distance between herself and that event, reasoning that if she “didn’t even know” until 2 y ears ago that Anna was molested by McDaniel even though he was IN JAIL FOR IT, that somehow makes her less culpable and makes it OK that she has been seeing this creep. She is such a terrible parent that she doesn’t even stop to think how it looks for her to say she didn’t even know her own daughter was molested by her boyfriend years after he went to jail for the crime. She only thinks about herself.
I agree with yesterday’s post, I think she may indeed be a sociopath.

  14. Dani L. says:

I don’t know about Dr. Phil’s credentials but he was not having any of June’s bullshit and June knew it. She lied her ass off during that interview and so did Pumpkin and Sugar Bear. She was talking really fast and telling him things that were untrue and irrelevant, contradicting herself left and right. Then she kept trying to gain sympathy, only this time she used being legally blind instead of cancer. It was disgusting to watch. Phil’s “bitch please” face during the entire interview said it all.

I can’t wait until Uncle Poodle’s bit tonight.

  15. Jem says:

Gotta send this deranged chick more shovels… The deeper she digs herself into this hole, the more likely she’ll lose the kids.

  16. Maddie says:

So Sugar Bear gets caught talking to women on Facebook, he gets kicked to the curb…..an ex boyfriend molested her daughter at eight yrs old and not only does he get a pass but invited back into her life??????

    • Renee says:

      OMG, THIS!!!!

    • Sam says:

That’s actually easy to explain. See, Sugar Bear wronged JUNE. He transgressed against HER, personally. To somebody who is a complete narcissistic personality, that makes total sense. McDaniel didn’t do anything to JUNE, you see. He just abused ANNA. It’s a symptom of June’s caring only about herself in the long run.

    • anne_000 says:

According to RadarOnline, Sugar Bear’s brother, Uncle Poodle, is saying that it was June who set up SB on that dating site, even bragged about how it doesn’t bother her, then went on that North Carolina trip with McDaniel, then used the dating site excuse to put the breakup of their relationship on SB and make herself look like the victim.

Considering that June has a pattern of making herself look like a victim when she really isn’t, I think there’s some truth to this story.

Has June admitted to going on that trip with McDaniel back in September? Because Uncle Poodle’s been talking about it. He, his fiance, Alana, June, and McDaniel were all there. June introduced McDaniel as her gay friend, then later boasted about having sex with him to Alana & Uncle Poodle.

      • JenniferJustice says:

Making herself look like a victim – yet another classic sign of a narcissist. I have finally figured out whey they do this – seek sympathy attention. It’s a round-about way of being forgiven for all the creepy things they do. If you feel sorry for them and show them sympathy, it’s a passive aggressive way of manipulating their loved ones to feel concern for them which I think they equate with forgiveness of transgressions. I’ve noticed this with my mother. I think if she can make us feel sorry for her or worry we’ll lose her, it’s sorta like love and forgiveness for all the rotten things she did during our childhood. Who on here has a psych degree? We have questions!

  17. Ang says:

Of course shes beyond stupid and she is not ever been concerned with the health and welfare of her children look how fat they all are except for Anna, She really gives rednecks a bad name because you can be from the south and have it together. This family is a wreck and Alanna is heading for a bad spot in life, no more fame, no more $, and very little intelligence her own self.

  18. Mzizkrizten says:

She is the exact type of woman that predators like him look for. Single mom, not that attractive therefore low self-esteem and eager to latch on to any man that shows interest, not well educated therefore easily duped. It’s sad.

  19. Eleonor says:

I think this woman needs a professional help.
I wish people would stop giving this woman all the media attention she gets: I do not think it’s good.

    • Goats on the Roof says:

The only good I can see coming from her interviews is that she’ll dig herself into a hole she can’t lie her way out of, and those kids will be taken from her custody.

      • whatsmyname? says:

I agree. I hope it happens soon, she isn’t even smart enough to keep small lies in check.

      • Christin says:

She’s digging fast, plus she isn’t bright enough to keep her stories straight. The so-called men in her life are likely after her money and she doesn’t even realize it.

She seems to always want a man around plus she thinks she is so money smart, which tells me she will probably be broke in a couple of years.

      • missy says:

The bad is, I assume they are paying her to appear.

  20. Cupcake says:

What a spiral this woman is on? I am fearful for the future for her and her family.

  21. Talie says:

I hope TLC learned a lesson with this obsession they have to exploit backwoods, uneducated people for the public to laugh at. They should give Anna a settlement.

    • Fan says:

First there was the TLC train wreck Gosselin’s and now Mama June. I think they need to stop filming families. Are the Duggars and Sister Wives also a TLC production? They are all twisted and TLC exploits it. Gross!!

  22. mememe says:

So, her young daughter moved in with June’s mother for an entire decade, and there was never any discussion of WHY???

This woman does not even know how to begin to tell a credible lie.

  23. Marianne says:

I think she’s lying. Maybe she really met up with McDaniel solely so her daughter Pumpkin would get some closure, but I do think she’s been lying about how many times she has seen him. Probably afraid of losing her children and getting her children to lie for her.

  24. Greek Chic says:

This woman is awful. She lies all the time and doesn’t care about her children at all.

Out of topic, why these people don’t call each other by name and have these weird nicknames? Sugar Bear, Honey boo boo, Pumpkin…Is this a Southern thing or it’s only them?
I don’t want to offend anyone from the South,i just don’t know what’s going on. I don’t watch their show either, i only know them from here.

    • Enui says:

Speaking only about my experience- my dad’s family in LA has one brother that uses tons of nicknames for their kids. I have an aunt that has a nickname similar to the ones in this family, and her kids and grandkids all have nicknames as well. No one else in the family does this, with the exception that when kids are really little (toddler age and below) sometimes they have cutesy nicknames (Boo, Buddy, L’il Bug) but they kind of drop off before school age.

    • It’s a southern thing. Like my mom’s name is Jessica. But her family always called her ‘Nean’ (Denean–her middle name). She didn’t know what her real name was until she started school. We also call my nephew by a nickname that is completely unrelated to his own name. I love the idea of nicknames–whenever I have kids, I’d want to call them something ridic, but have a unique ‘real’ name as well. L

      • Greek Chic says:

Thanks! I think it’s cute too but for toddlers…Calling a man in his ’40’s Sugar Bear sounds weird to me!
@Virginia Coriolanus Nean is lovely, but if they called your mom Pretty Duck or Chestnut would it not be eye-rolling??

    • Anna says:

It’s probably a Southern thing. hahaha I’m from a Southern state and off the top of my head I can think of at least 5 people that regularly go by a completely made up nickname (i.e. not a derivative of their real name like Laurie for Lauren). My grandma’s neighbor probably has the best nickname. Her real name is Grace Kelly (for real lol) but her nickname is Cricket. She’s had it since she was 5 because she’s very chatty. =)

She’s an awful woman and I think that Honey Boo Boo is a bit of a brat. I’m not sure what late show they were on (maybe Jimmy Fallon?) but she physically hit June and he had to stop the taping and lecture this child about it. Then yesterday I was watching this show and Alana (aka Honey Boo Boo) came in and Dr. Phil was showing her photos of his grandchildren and she didn’t say one word, just looked bored out of her head. No manners what so ever. I’m glad this show is cancelled. Send these kids to school and get this family out of the public eye.

  26. Josefa says:

Anna is a very brave woman. That’s all I’ll say.

  27. G says:

    “Honestly and this is truthful.”

So she was lying up until that point?

I have house plants that are smarter than this moron.

  28. db says:

At least she isn’t an intelligent sociopath or she’d be causing even more destruction in the lives of those she “loves”

It may be morbidly fascinating but please reconsider any further posts on this family. The prinary gain is sensationalism and keeping dysfunction in the spotlight, not to educate, or to provide solace or to instill hope. The allegations of abuse are a legal matter and to continue posting does a disservice to the victims.

  30. Leah Donigan says:

Did it stand out to anyone that she said she’s blind but she still drives a car? Lies!

  31. why? says:

Is June getting paid for these interviews? It’s like June is trying to recoup the money they lost from TLC canceling their show by doing these “this is my side of the story” interviews. Please tell me that Dr. Phil and ET are not paying June because if they are, that doesn’t make them any better than June. Why are Dr. Phil or ET giving June a platform to tell her side of the story when her side of the story is playing the victim and making Anna look like the bad guy? June will never admit that she did anything wrong, so these press interviews are a waste of time. Why keep giving June the opportunity to re-victimize her daughter over and over again and then have her other children victimize their own sister? The sick thing about this latest interview is how June is pitting one child against each other. This was the man who hurt her sister, why spare his feelings?

The other sick thing is how June resorts to the “woe is me” song and dance when people don’t buy into her lies. First she may or may not have cancer. Now she may or may not be legally blind. Why is the press giving her a platform play victim? She isn’t the victim.

When Pumpkin said that Anna listened to what somebody else says and not listen what your mama says, I think she is referring to what Uncle Poodle has been saying about June and McDaniel hanging out and dating. Pumpkin is mad because Anna is taking the photos of June, Pumpkin, and Alana at face value and listened to Uncle Poodle, instead of going along with the photoshopped theory that June is spinning. But again, why pit your kids against one another. June is the adult and she is having her children fight each other to protect her lies.

  32. caitrin says:

why?: I agree w/ you, what’s w people giving June these platforms to go on lying, and so continuing to victimize and betray Anna over and over again? It’s chilling to think that Dr.Phil and others *rewarded* this woman for her lies and ongoing, cruel deceit by paying her to tell her twisted and dishonest version of the story—of her daughter’s painful, life-scarring story. I know too much about the effects of child molestation on a person’s self esteem and future to not be horrified that June is given a public outlet, and pay, for all of her self serving lies.

  33. Jenna says:

I can’t anymore with this idiot. I just can’t. The more I hear, the more I read, the more I get the overwhelming need to stand outside in the snow and scream my head off because the world seems okay with not just allowing pieces of crap like this to continue to be around children (and I’m talking about both the egg dropper – I will NOT call her a mother, not without puking – and the piece of crap molester here) but that the world also continues to give them a platform and a paycheck. Give Anna a show. Pay HER to show the world living and healing after such a horrible horrible trauma has been done to her. Reward the survivors. Create shows that glorify and shine lights on those that manage to stand up and say “No. No more. I am worthy and I will NOT be destroyed by evil done by others, I will heal and I will ensure the pattern stops here with me. My children will be safe and loved and the circle IS broken” but can we please stop with the evil pieces of crap? Can we stop giving them TV specials, can we stop trying to examine ‘why’ they are the damaged ones too? Can we stop listening to their sob stories, their reasons as to why it’s not their fault, their excuses and rebuttals? This isn’t funny. It isn’t something to stop and gawk at. This is feeding their evil, its keeping the wrong person in the spotlight. It just glorifies them in really sick ways (what’s that old line? Even bad publicity is still publicity, so it’s all good in the end?) and gives them more and more ways to fund their baseline inhumanity and evil. And this person IS evil.

I’ve commented my fair share on this due to my own personal soapbox of refusing to allow people to think this has to be a forever cycle. To try and yell just a bit into the void that abuse of all kinds IS survivable, that it can be crawled thru, there can be light at the end, that you CAN find a way to beat it back and live a good life (not great light reading on a gossip site, but I also goof about on the other issues, so hopefully it balances out.) but I just gotta stop. The above novela I feel like I had to say it, even if it means absolutely nothing really in the end to others. But as weird as it sounds, could someone please yell at me if I comment again on this story (barring a response to a direct reply) because I have to stop. This particular bit of gossip that seems to keep getting worse and worse and more and more coverage… I gotta walk away although it IS the proverbial carcrash you can’t quite stop watching. In a really hard time, for some reason this story has been making it tough for me to stop reading and getting angrier and angrier and it is honestly causing an acidic burn in the back of my throat and chest along with a pounding headache anytime I see the line “HoneyBooBoo”. So random internet readers, can I please ask, just this once of strangers to please smack me down if you see me doing anything beyond replying to any of these HBB stories? Sad and stupid I know, but it’s something that just….

I hate this woman. I really really do. And all I can excuse myself with is the insipid and trite term of “Triggering” which is pathetic. But this piece of crap is just… gah. Is there a charity/funding site I can give money to her poor daughter to help her move states away from the horror that is her biological donator?

“egg dropper” is a term I have not heard before, but intend to use, thank you very much.

      Jenna, you go.

    Trash, pure trash.

  35. car54 says:

Uncle Poodle (Sugarbear’s brother) was on today and he strongly stated a number of things June lied about –things he personally witnessed–and Phil sent him to take a lie detector test–and he passed. I don’t think June would pass that same test.

  36. Ryan says:

I actually struggled to decipher what she was trying to say. It kills me that people this inarticulate are breeding like rabbits. It’s Idiocracy come to life.

  37. Little Lulu says:

@JENNA Had to respond to you &then to this nonsense in general. JENNA, I can see how it can grab then overwhelm you – don’t let the freestyle flight of comment boards raise your blood pressure as high as TL(shame-on-you)C hoped for “Honey BooBoo” ratings. I never watched the ratched TV show – for what I hope are obvious reasons and I hope EVERYc ommenter here knows that this sad part of the lives of the people in this car-wreck of reality television is a G** damn wet dream for the producers & stakeholders.

  38. Anna says:

I want to preface this by saying neither myself nor my husband condone ANY of what June is doing but my husband went on a rather interesting rant about all the harsh judgment she is facing given the irony of TLC (among other channels) & America in general having created a culture in which Honey Boo Boo and countless others has been groomed and exploited to entertain by an means possible often times for someone else’s enjoyment or entertainment.

“Think of how many things you watch on tv that would be WEIRD if they were located anywhere else—would you ever sit down on Google and say to yourself I want to watch an old man navigate his way around a house full of walls of old newspapers? [Hoarders] Would you ever show up at a random dance studio to watch the 12 year olds in leotards? [Dance Moms] How many people would go over to their neighbors house with a camcorder, film their kids living every day life and then take it home to watch?? [Honey Boo Boo] All these situations would be weird, some would be completely unacceptable and yet we think nothing of watching these things when the people involved are on tv. These shows aren’t completely REAL (there is some amount of script or direction involved) but they are not made up characters either. Many of these people that are lambasting June for exposing her children to this one man NOW never gave it a second thought that she has been exposing this child to (at least) thousands of men (some of which could also be convicted molesters) for YEARS. Does anyone realize this man could’ve been sitting in prison watching Honey Boo Boo this WHOLE time? But of course it didn’t matter before because before they were just characters. I think part of the reason so many are so upset about all this is that it drives home the point that these are real people. That we have been laughing at and creeping on real people this whole time.”
