June Shannon: ‘Every bone in my body hurts. Do I have cancer? I don’t know’

Screen Shot 2014-11-17 at 8.39.40 AM_edited-1
Entertainment Tonight aired part two of their three part June Shannon (of Here Comes Honey Boo Boo) interview last night. The interview was notable for what June didn’t say: that she was sorry, that she wishes she could take back the past, that she feels awful for what her daughter went through. Instead, June was as defensive and narcissistic as we’ve come to expect from her, and as I guess you could expect from anyone who could reunite with her child’s molester. The only time June got animated was when she talked about her health problems. She’s been tired for weeks and doctors are trying to figure out what’s wrong with her. She said she may have cancer for all she knows. Which, I mean, she has a major risk factor for cancer but I doubt that’s the problem. Then June had the audacity to say she hasn’t gotten thoroughly checked out because “Me as a mom, I like to take care of my kids first.” This lady is so full of sh*t. Every time she opens her mouth, she lies. Here’s some of what she told Entertainment Tonight.

On if she is worried about losing her kids
I’m not allowed to talk about that. That’s what I was told about that issue.

‘What do you think about this situation having escalated to that point?’ (where CPS is investigating)
The issue is that they’re in a safe zone with me. They’re protected with me. They’re in my household.

On the photo of her in bed with McDaniel
That photo, I had a company analyze that one and it’s been Photoshopped.

On her health being poor
I’m not trying to get sympathy for myself. A lot of fans have asked, do I have cancer? I don’t know? I maybe do, I don’t know. We’re going to run tests.

On her symptoms
I pretty much sleep all the time. I sleep for like 2 months at a time. That’s taking no medication. Sitting here right now, every bone in my body hurts. I have had my pain management doctor say something about maybe MS. But also when I went to the hospital we thought it was my gallbladder but it’s all right here so maybe like cysts or a tumor but we don’t know. Me as a mom, I like to take care of my kids first.

[From ET, aired 11-14-14]

So June is claiming that the TMZ photo of her in bed with McDaniel was photoshopped. What a lame excuse. June and her brother-in-law, Lee Thompson (Uncle Poodle), are going to appear on Dr. Phil today. In a preview of the show, Thompson tells Dr. Phil that June was shacked up at a motel with McDaniel at the time that picture was taken and that of course she slept with him.

On ET they also had a joint interview with June and her estranged husband, David Thompson (Sugar Bear). (They call him Sugar Bear, and I had to look up his name, which I haven’t heard until now. I refer to him here as Sugar Bear. I understand that many of you are against using affectionate names for these people, but that’s how they’re referred to in the press.) Anyway this guy started off on the wrong foot by saying that convicted child molester Mark McDaniel “hasn’t really done nothing.” Despite the double negative, Sugar Bear seemed to mean that McDaniel hadn’t done anything since he was released from prison. Then Sugar Bear said that he missed June and his daughters and wanted to reunite with June. June said that wasn’t going to happen. She also didn’t rule out letting McDaniel around her daughters again.

To Sugar Bear: ‘What is your perspective on Mark out of prison and having seen June and the girls?’
SB: I ain’t got nothing against Mark. I mean he done his time. Now he done his crime. He hasn’t really done nothing… since he’s been out I hadn’t heard of him doing nothing wrong.

To Sugar Bear: ‘Do you worry about him being around Alana?’
SB: To an extent yes I do.

To Sugar Bear: ‘How do you feel about him being around Alana?’
SB: It’s something that never should have happened. When I found out about it, it hurt me.

To June: ‘If he came around again what would you do?’
June: If he came around again, probably nothing.

To June: ‘I guess I’m just having a hard time June because as a mother I would have intense negative feelings toward someone who hurt my child.’
June: Ok, yes. There’s hurt there, there’s anger there.

To Sugar Bear: ‘Do you believe her?’
Sugar Bear. In a way, I do believe her and in another I do. When you look at this picture, it looks like they’re holding hands.
June: no we’re not.

To Sugar Bear: ‘How do you feel about it?’
Sugar Bear: It’s got me down a little bit… All I want to work on is getting June and my girls back.

‘Will you guys get back together?’
June: I don’t know, he’s been at the house since all of this has transpired and he has been staying there… as far as allowing him back into my life as a relationship, no.

[From ET, aired 11-14-14]

Of course June doesn’t want to get back with Sugar Bear, he’s a decent guy who isn’t going to hurt her kids. Remember that McDaniel is the second convicted sex offender that June has had a relationship with. She just admitted that two of her daughters were fathered by Michael Anthony Ford, who is incarcerated until 2026 for sexual exploitation of minors.

The more we hear about this story the more I want to know whether TLC completely failed to do a background check on these people or if they knew about June’s relationships with sex offenders and willingly choose to ignore this. It doesn’t seem like it would be difficult at all to hire a private investigator to make sure highly paid reality stars are on the up and up. June seems like a sociopath to me here. I just hope her kids are ok and that TLC is checking up on them.

Here’s June’s “poor me, I might have cancer” interview:

    *sigh*

    • Belle Epoch says:

Really glad this article brought up TLC. They MUST have known a lot of this just with basic vetting of the people in the show. It looks like they were willing to ride this gravy train until a bomb went off – which it did. How cynical can you get? TLC flooded this family with money and national attention knowing full well who June really was.

      • mytbean says:

Not only did TLC know but they probably considered it a bag of bonus points. All of this dirt plays to the typical stereotype of what a redneck is supposed to be – ignorant men married to obese women, everyone in poverty using improper contractions paired with double negatives. Toss in the expected pedophiles, inbreeding and jail-time and that just pushes the stereotype home.

Affirmation for the ignorance is what it’s all about. Thanks to marketing, not only do they understand what will make us watch, but what will appeal to those with money who will sponsor these train wrecks. People forget that the networks are run by the elite and their vision can be very very narrow. A&E has Duck Dynasty so that anti-religious Hollywood can proudly nod at the Christian crazies. E! has the Kartdashians so that old money can side eye new money’s lack of class.

It’s about affirming ideas more than about shock value. There are thousands of people that live like Mama June but DON’T fit that cliche’ so spot-on. Because her’s did – that’s why the network picked her up and we know her name.

      • Bob Loblaw says:

Mytbean, that’s one perspective but you have to acknowledge that viewership keeps these shows on the air and it’s not the one percenters tuning in every week. These shows may pander to stereotypes and may have been financed by elitists but their mass appeal says more about our appetite for entertainment than it does about any social agenda.

      • mytbean says:

Mr. Loblaw representing in the house. Charles can be in charge of me any day. 😉

I agree… I think it’s two-fold. That’s why I stated initially that thanks to marketing, they know what will make us watch as well. We, the masses would not watch anything on tv that really represented a day in the life of Every Man/Woman. We’d be bored to death. We’re drawn to shows about “the other”.

But, from what I can tell, people won’t watch something religiously unless they feel some semblance of kinship with the message(s) it delivers. People change the channel if they strongly disagree too often. The ideas that these shows pander resonate with the public’s ideas of what “the other” is.

But is it unhealthy for us, as viewers, to keep ingesting this crap? … to allow the elite to keep repackaging and profiting from the cliches? :/

  2. elisabeth says:

constant fatigue and pain? Could it possibly be her morbid obesity?
    Not fat shaming but c’mon

    • Erinn says:

Right? Or I mean, thyroid issues are a possibility as well. But cancer is going to find her more sympathy than morbid obesity, so she’ll go that route. Now, if she does have cancer – that’s something I wouldn’t wish on anyone. But I feel like this is just a pull for sympathy.

      • Cindy says:

        I’ll wish it on her….

      • xxx says:

Less than 10% of obese people have thyroid problems. It’s a common excuse.

      • Urgh–my aunt’s been posting all over FB about her ‘thyroid issue’. She never goes to the doctor–so I’m not even sure how she *knows* it’s her thyroid, and eats a lot, and never exercises. Whenever my mom would try and get her to go walking with her, she’d always come up with some excuse. So I hate the thyroid excuse (no offense to those who actually have it). But this woman eats ketchup and butter ‘spaghetti sauce’…..her thyroid is the least of her problems.

    • mimif says:

Do you think I can use this excuse to get out of jury duty today?

      • Loopy says:

Is it true you can go to jail if you miss jury duty?

      • mimif says:

Yeah or get one helluva fine.

      • Kitten says:

Oh man, mimif, you just reminded me that I deferred my JD until March.
Luckily for me, working in insurance is always a get-out-free card.

      • mimif says:

Dude thank you, OG Kitten, I’m totally going to tell them I work in “insurance”. Or maybe the simple truth will get me dismissed. 😉

      • We Are All Made of Stars says:

Why would working in insurance get you off a jury? Is it because the cases pertain to that industry, or they think you will refuse to award large sums of money so you’ll have a job to go back to? ??

      • SamiHami says:

I don’t know how working in insurance can get one out of jury duty. I worked in insurance for about 9 years and my coworkers and I always had to serve whenever called. Even doctors can’t get out of it anymore like they used to.

    • AG-UK says:

      My thought exactly

    • joy says:

Firstly, concern over obesity isn’t fat shaming. But I get the disclaimer because these days saying anything that isn’t polly positive makes you a SHAMER. And yes I’ve seen the show. She eats like it’s her job, and obesity could be the root of her issues. That and she’s a moron and a bad mother.

    • HH says:

That was my first thought. This lady really grinds my gears.

    • Hope says:

Low vitamin D could be part of that, too. Fat eats vitamin D right up and chronically low vitamin D can cause fatigue, bone pain, etc and lead to MS or lupus.

    • SnarkGirl says:

If you eat garbage, you feel like garbage. Seeing as she feeds Honey Boo Boo that horrible concoction of pasta, ketchup and butter, not to mention that awful Mountain Dew and whatever to hype the kid up, I can only imagine what her own diet is like.

Eating a healthy diet would probably go a long way to alleviating a lot of her symptoms.

      • Toots says:

A friend sent me the you tube clip of her “recipe”. Just thinking of it makes me barf burp.

      • Bucky says:

I agree. There are plenty of people who carry a few extra pounds and are perfectly healthy and eat well, exercise, all that. These people treat their bodies like absolute shit, and so they feel like shit. I feel so bad for the kids.

    • mernymerlyn says:

It’s not fat shaming, she is morbidly obese and of course she sleeps all the time and her body aches all over. Just getting up from a chair is hard on her body.
She is 35 years old and probably feels like she is 80. It’s really terrible.

    • FLORC says:

Her weight is why it all hurts. And her diet. I doubt she drinks plain water ever.
I will not be shocked if she passes within a few years. She’s just horrible to her body.

And pulling out the Cancer card? Ugh. She wants pity to lessen the attacks.
      She makes me go “ggrrrrr”

    • mytbean says:

I keep reading comments about her seeming psychopath but I think she’s just a massive wad of denial and delusional thinking.

The truth – her choice of husband is a preditorial pedophile. Her truth – her choice of husband is a good man with demons. She forgives and pretends to forget. The truth – she was a victim of sexual abuse and objectification during a time in her life when her role models should have stepped in and saved her from herself and the perverted men knocking on the door. Her truth – no harm was done to her psyche when adult men were there to answer the hormonal call of emotionally irresponsible urges. Her truth – she’s aching and tired and might be inflicted with a terrible disease out of her control. The truth – she’s morbidly obese and needs to accept responsibility for her food choices in order to feel better.

She’s exhausted because all that cognitive dissonance probably has her severely depressed.

Can you imagine the draining mind games she has to play with everyone (especially herself) all day every day in order to justify the avoidance dance she’s been doing her entire life?

      sigh is right.

      • XtoniX says:

Mytbean, both of your comments were the most insightful explanations of this woman’s behavior, background, and motivations that I have seen. Good for you for not skirting around the core issues going on with this sad situation!

    • xxx says:

Just what I was thinking! Her back and knees probably hurt the most. Every morbidly obese person I know has at least bad back pain. The body was not built to carry that weight. And she’s 35? Looks 40’s.

Superficiality aside I never watched Honey Boo Boo. Such a complete lack of caring for her own children. No parental instinct can also blamed on mental illness, that woman isn’t right. Definitely a narcissist and possible sociopathy. I feel for those kids they should be taken out of that environment, she has no cares at all for the well being of those children.

    • Tammy says:

What people don’t realize is that thyroid problems result in a modest weight gain…like 10 to 20 lbs not being morbidly obese.

      • Red32 says:

Yup, I have thyroid problems and when it wasn’t controlled I never got above a size 12 and I’m usually a 6-8.

    • raindrop says:

You’re not fat shaming! Plenty of fat folks eat well and exercise – simply being big doesn’t mean you don’t have a relatively healthy lifestyle – but June Shannon clearly isn’t one of them. I’m sure her diet is a huge part of why she feels terrible.

    • Bob Loblaw says:

You nailed it, I gained about twenty pounds due to a prescription and all my bones were aching, immediate relief came when the pounds were shed, especially for my knees and ankles. That was only twenty extra pounds, this poor woman is well beyond that, no wonder everything aches. That’s not cancer, that’s just the human body responding to lugging around flabby poundage.

  3. doofus says:

    no, not cancer.

    just morbid obesity.

    • mernymerlyn says:

I had cancer. Thyroid cancer 2 years ago.
2 surgeries, radiation the whole thing.
I was exhausted because my hormone levels were out of whack but I got my ass up every day and I worked out at least 5 times a week because it was the one thing I could control.
Not every cancer patient is the same but she makes me sick with those excuses.

      • deehunny says:

@merny wow what commitment. I just started a new job and am trying to fit the gym back into my schedule since I have been so exhausted. Hearing things like this gives me no excuse!

  4. Erinn says:

Didn’t she just play the cancer card with the sex offender as well? I’m kind of horrified at the new low that she’s hit by using this as an attempt to ‘get out of jail free’. She wants sympathy. She wants people on her side. She doesn’t give a crap what she’s done to those girls. Like I said in another post, her wording choices point to the possibility of her lying about two of the girls having the same father. She said they had the same father, and in the same breath said that “Jessica’s father hasn’t bothered with her” as if it was a separate guy. I don’t believe a thing she’s selling. She’s going to say whatever gets her the furthest.

    • Jaderu says:

Why though? Nobody can or will defend her. She won’t be getting any more reality shows. She may be selling, but no one is going to buy.

      • Erinn says:

Haha, I agree, but the woman isn’t smart. GUARANTEED she thinks this will soften the blow, and maybe TLC can do a nice special on her battling various illnesses. A smarter person would shut their mouth, cut the crap out of their life, and try to move forward in a way, attempting to make things at least better with her children.

      • Tulip Garden says:

I agree with you Erinn that this woman will say and do whatever she thinks will gain her sympathy. June will never be a “smarter” person, she can’t even reach the bottom rung of the ladder of human decency. Her little brain is spinning right now trying to figure out what ploy/lie will lead credence the the martyrdom that she actually feels. As we speak, she still doesn’t think that she (or he) is in the wrong. I’ve no doubt that she feels betrayed by her children and the public.
This woman disgusts me. She is just vile, scheming, and a true example of how low people can actually sink.

    • Jh says:

Right?! Just when you think she can not possibly be more horrible, she says something even more disgusting. What a vile human being.

    • anne_000 says:

Yeah, she said McDaniel has or might have leukemia.

Notice how she nebulous she is about saying whether she’s going to get the proper medical diagnosis and any necessary treatment. That’s so she can milk this story as long as she wants. So long as it’s not diagnosed concretely, she’s going to keep using this against her kids and the public.

    • Bob Loblaw says:

I’ve never watched the show and know nothing about this woman but you have to bear in mind the producers are going to air the footage of her that garners the most attention. No doubt they got her talking on camera and then cherry picked from her numerous statements. I’m not trying to defend her but I imagine she may not have appreciated post-production nor how her comments could be misconstrued or reinterpreted.

    • missy says:

Yep I agree, watched her and Jessica on Dr Phil, and Jessica asked him if he would take his child to talk to someone like Mark for answers, and he said NO. I think she brainwashed that child into wondering. Just to add Pumkin was one of the worst speakers and she was almost articulate and sounded ok.. A little Miley Cyrus- ish , but at least no double negatives… I read TLC was still schooling them. May be the only hope they have. I hope TLC keeps on with the schooling and counseling for all these kids… And Alanna has gained so much weight she isn’t even cute anymore and came off rude and a lot younger in age than she is.

  5. FingerBinger says:

I can’t believe she’s trying to pull the cancer sympathy card. BTW if you “sleep for like 2 months at a time” aren’t you in a coma?

    • Size Does Matter says:

In a coma, seriously depressed, or over medicated, or all three. Why would she need a pain managent doctor? Has she been in a major accident or suffered a stroke or something? What a liar.

      • Jag says:

They don’t know what’s wrong with her and she has a pain management doctor, yet I’ve been disabled with fibromyalgia, Lyme Disease, and other chronically painful medical issues for over a decade and my new doctors won’t refer me or give me anything stronger than Tramadol, which only makes me sleep. This makes me so angry I can’t see straight!

If she were a good person, I’d go to her page and try to give her some advice to help her, e.g. some tests that need to be run that the doctors most likely will miss. But she’s not, so I won’t.

      • Kitten says:

A close of friend of mine suffers from Fibro. You have my deepest sympathies, as I’ve learned a lot from her about the level of chronic pain associated with it.

      • Konspiracytheory says:

Fibro folks: Just throwing it out there in case it helps anyone…for me (and my son), what was initially labelled as fibromyalgia was in fact the result of two related disorders – mast cell activation syndrome and Ehlers Danlos Syndrome. I am a firm believer that there is always something else driving the fibro symptoms, whether it is the above disorders, Lyme Disease, etc. it’s so hard, but don’t give up until you find a doc who will take you seriously!

      • phlyfiremama says:

Jag: find a Lymes-literate provider near you. ILADS.org can help you find medical providers who have actual, up to date knowledge on Lymes Disease itself, the co-infections that commonly occur with it, and how to treat them effectively. Lymes is actually one of the causative underlying pathological factors in Alzheimers, Fibro, Chronic Fatigue, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and other auto-immune inflammatory conditions. There are close to 1 million NEW cases of Lyme per year, with anywhere from 30-60% of those cases becoming chronic due to massive misinformation and insufficient treatment. It is difficult to test for due to the havoc it wreaks on the immune system~the ELISA is mostly useless, a Western Blot testing specifically for IgG/IgM bands and different sub types is one of the few useful diagnostic tools.

    • Sarah says:

Sleeping for two months at a time seems like a great way to put the kids first. Much better than taking a few hours to get checked out by the doctor. Great rationale.

      • red_jane says:

@ Sarah that’s my thoughts exactly!!

I think she is so far in denial she just can’t get her lies straight, even in front of the camera’s.

    • missy says:

And how is she a good mom? I have 3, I can hardly sleep 7 hours a night. Triple the sigh.

  6. Dani L. says:

BS! These people are truly disgusting. I already despise June and now I’m going to shade the hell out of Sugar Bear. That “he’s done his time” business is bullshit. These people can’t be rehabilitated. I truly hope he said that because he’s afraid of June’s wrath and not not because he truly believes that. That monster molested a little girl that Sugar Bear claims to love as his own, claims her daughter as his granddaughter and (I believe) walked her down the aisle at her wedding.

This family is so screwed up! Poor Anna.

    • suki says:

I was really uncomfortable about his responses for a different reason. First of all he is so cowed by her that he is trying to go along with what she wants him to say, but he can’t even force himself to stand by it because it sounds so ridiculous. But the fact that he is even trying speaks volumes about how unable he is to be the rational voice for those kids.

Worse though, is his response to how he felt about the pedophile being around Alana. Can you imagine the response from most men that their ex-wife exposed a child to a molester? It would be extreme fear/protection of that child.

His response: it hurt his feelings.

That answer is all about June and him being jealous of June and the dude. It shows no sign of the outrage, sense of protection for his child that is required for the situation.

Here is my question: now that we know she lies every time she opens her mouth, when is someone going to revisit the question of all the money. Listening to her talk in these old interviews, it now sounds like total BS: “I’m raising my daughters to have good habits”
      http://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/mother-june-shannon-banking-honey-boo-boos-future/story?id=18148447

Sugar Bear was on the show, why is he sleeping on his brother’s couch? He got nothing for being on the show?

Is Anna going to get her trust fund when she turns 21?

      • Pamela says:

I agree! I noticed that Sugar Bear’s responses were not about Alana, but about June, He was concerned that June was holding McDaniel’s hand, as opposed to being concerned that this pedophile was around his young daughter.

        Also–did anyone else notice this?

“On the photo of her in bed with McDaniel
That photo, I had a company analyze that one and it’s been Photoshopped”

Umm, if a photo of ME in bed with McDaniel tomorrow, I would not need anyone to amalyze it. I would KNOW it was photoshopped. Ya wanna know how? Because I haven’t been on a bed with McDaniel. Thats why. No sane person needs professionals to come in and analyze pics if the pics are of saomething they didn’t DO. She isn’t even a GOOD liar!

I am not afraid to say it either–I don’t CARE of she has cancer. I think she is looking for sympathy. Ain’t happening.

      • Yeah, I got the idea that he wants to get back with her, and is willing to do/say/put up with anything he can to get back in. And I don’t think it’s for the kids either. Because if he was a real father, he’d get a job and get custody of the kids–all of the kids.

      • Dani L. says:

Suki, his comments about Alana were also disturbing. I just hate how Anna has not had any positive male role models in her life (that we know of). I mean, she never knew her dad because June wouldn’t let him see her, her mother basically let her boyfriend molest her, and Sugar Bear is so terrorized by June that he’s no use. At least she has her husband who seems to really love her and care about her.

Anna also says that June somehow got into her trust fund and spent the money on herself and McDaniel, leaving only $20!! If that’s true, that’s just awful, cruel and vindictive. I’m seriously thinking that June hates and is jealous of Anna. Disgusting!

      • mayamae says:

@Dani L, considering June’s response when Anna told her she was being molested was, “why are you doing this to me”, I wouldn’t be surprised if she saw her as a romantic rival. Absolutely disgusting. I also notice that Anna is the only one without a stupid nickname. Clearly she’s not one of them.

      • Anony says:

@ SUKI, YES TO EVERYTHING YOU SAID!

@ PAMELA, That was my thought to ! Um, you didn’t know it was photoshopped until an expert told you? Why haven’t you said the photo was photo-shopped before…because you didn’t think of that excuse until now?!?!?

@ Dani – could Anna sue for the money if that is true? God I hope so.

      • missy says:

Did anyone notice on Dr Phil, her eyes are barely open as it is but, when she was being asked those questions about the pics she kept doing her eyes like she was mad as heck. Then did all the classic lying crap, closing her eyes as she said no and on and on… I agree compulsive liar and a narcissist. That fantasy world these types live in never get smashed. THey stay there and everyone else is the problem. I believe Uncle Poodle and hope he can do something about custody, Sugar Bear is too damn dumb to get it. Geez that guy is ignorant and just not all there.

Can’t believe I know this but, Anna’s nickname is chickadee.

    • Mysweetfracture says:

I think they said on the show that he was in the delivery room when Anna had Kaitlyn and he cut the cord. This family is so messed up, I just feel so sorry for those poor girls.

  7. Birdix says:

I wish CPS or a relative would step in and manage this. Although bad behavior like this should be flooded with light to stop it, I don’t love that the tv show is making money off this girl’s misfortune.

    • Jag says:

Since June admitted that she’s going to let the pedophile around the kids again, I hope that some tabloid is there and gets pictures of it so the kids can be removed from the home and can be given to someone who actually cares about them.

  8. aims says:

So she’s using Sugar bear to show a united front. Again she is showing who her priority is, herself and her POS pervert. She’s so gross and lacks any sort of compassion. Jesus, it’s so unreal to me about how this woman would gladly put her daughters in a very harmful situation, just so she can have a man. She already took one of her children’s childhood away, it’s so sick.

Sorry for the lack of eloquent post. I just cannot understand how a mother can offer up her children as some sort sacrificial lamb to a known pedophile. I’m so disgusted by this.

  9. whatsmyname? says:

Didn’t she say that the a-hole (whatever his name is) has lukemia and now she might be sick as well? GTFO trying to get sympathy through illness.

    • HughJass says:

It must be that leukemia-bug that has been going around.

(sorry, I know I shouldn’t joke about something so awful…)

      • Anony says:

No HughJass you are right. She’s acting like it the cancer-flu or something! “Oh don’t be mad at my molester boyfriend, he has THE CANCER! Oh, people are hating on me too? Don’t hate on me, I HAVE THE CANCER!”

It’s like, can you get any lower? Like can you? As a human being?

  10. Jackie Jormp Jomp says:

I wouldn’t call Sugar Bear a “decent guy”, since I do believe he went to prison for lighting somebody on fire.

  11. DrMrsTheMonarch says:

She says she has a pain management doctor?
Wonder what her diagnosed chronic pain issue is?
They aren’t supposed to just hand out long-term pain meds without a diagnosis.
    Hmmmm

  12. Jaded says:

TLC (or The Learning Channel – there’s an oxymoron) disgusts me for peddling these scumballs as reality entertainment. They should change their name to The Lowlife Channel.

  13. Jess says:

I don’t think I can get started on June, she makes me sick. I feel bad for sugar bear but he needs to pull his head out of his behind and get angry, and get custody of his daughter because mark will attempt something at some point, even if it’s years down the road, the dude has June’s blessing to touch her kids so why wouldn’t he?? He got away with it before! Ugh, sickening.

    • It is disgusting, I just can’t believe now…nonchalant she is about the whole thing. I mean, I grew up where my parents, especially my dad kept us protected. If someone else was going to pick us up from school, they would call and tell us–even if it was someone we knew, because we were not allowed to get into a car with anyone else, without them knowing. And even now, my dad is on the offense, constantly telling us that if someone touches us, then we tell him, and he’ll deal with it.

  14. Ollyholly says:

I find it offensive that she would try to garner sympathy by suggesting that she could have cancer. What a disgusting, horrific human being; that is an insult to people who actually have struggled with cancer, and didn’t just throw the term around hoping to gain some pity from the public. She’s a sociopath.

    • aims says:

You bring up a really good point. I’m currently watching my mother succumb to stage four, terminal breast cancer. So it’s incredibly offensive to me for her to use the cancer card, especially when she doesn’t have it.

      • Kitten says:

That is so terrible and I’m sorry you have to go through that.
Sending internet hugs and positive vibes to help you continue being strong for her. ♥

  15. Green Is Good says:

Morbidly obese=major health problems. June the Hutt is clearly very good a denying facts right in front of her bloated face. Like ignoring the fact her boyfriend is a convicted pedophile.

    • Anony says:

That’s so true, I never looked at it that way. It’s another form of her denial and delusional way of thinking. Um, your skeleton was not built to withstand that type of load so of course your bones all hurt!!!!

  16. Sarah says:

I don’t get it. Stupid rednecks are put on TV specifically because they ARE stupid rednecks. And then people are surprised.

    • Jem says:

I would classify them more as ‘uneducated, inbred hillbillies’ myself. There are categories – a strata of Stupid, if u will.. Like fine wine, if you relaced ‘fine’ with ‘white’ and ‘wine’ with ‘trash’.

    • Sam says:

This isn’t a hillbilly issue. Can we please cease with that crap? I’ve met “white trash/hillbilly/rednecks/whatever you call them” before. Guess what? The overwhelming majority of them would NOT behave as June does. Most of them would sooner die than betray their own child so horribly. June isn’t this way because she’s poorly educated, or low-income, etc. When I worked in social services, guess what we saw? We saw rich people act this way, poor people, racial minorities, whites, atheists, Christians, PhD holders, drop-outs, etc. NO group in the world has a monopoly on cruelty like this.

Blaming this crap on June’s economic class is a cop-out. It lets June off the hook on some level. June knows better. Some basic part of her knows that she’s in the wrong here. Why else would she lie so strongly? She knows she can’t admit to this fully without looking like the terrible person she really is. It doesn’t take some exceptional sense of morality or education to see how wrong she is. Almost everybody seems to be united in their revulsion towards this woman. Her station in life didn’t make her this way, and keeping that going is just ignorance.

      • rahrahrooey says:

@Sam You are so right. The socioeconomic status of a person does not affect their ability to be a decent human being.

      • Christin says:

Agree — This has nothing to do with where she lives or her level of education.

Some of the most decent, hard working, common sense people I have met in my life did not graduate high school and lived in a rural area their entire lives.

      • mayamae says:

@Sam, I agree with you. I would also suggest that if June and her family were middle class or higher, TLC wouldn’t have been as quick to dump them. I’m not saying the how shouldn’t have been cancelled, I’m just suggesting that if the same situation occurred in the millionaire Duck Dynasty family, things might have been handled differently.

      • Aerincraig says:

        @Sam, agreed.

      • missy says:

        EXACTLY.

  17. Carrie says:

So I thought Uncle Poodle was ready to take Alanna away until her dad gets on his feet enough to take care of her, now he’s doing interviews with June? This whole story is making me tired now. SOMEBODY be a responsible adult and get those kids away from her.

  18. the blonde one says:

‘I pretty much sleep all the time. I sleep for like 2 months at a time. That’s taking no medication. Sitting here right now, every bone in my body hurts.’

No June, that’s not cancer, that’s your cold black soul finally growing a conscience and it’s killing you.

  19. Jem says:

Maybe the pervert Mark and the idiot June have sex-parts cancer…. Would be kind of karmic, u have to admit….

  20. Dragonlady sakura says:

Bitch, please! I’ve lost many love ones to cancer, so if June has it, my sympathies. But maybe having cancer doesn’t excuse you from being a douche. I still think June and get pedo boyfriend are the scum of the earth!

  21. Tifygodess24 says:

“On the photo of her in bed with McDaniel
That photo, I had a company analyze that one and it’s been Photoshopped.” — ummm b*tch it’s pretty simple and you know whether that photo is fake or not so you wouldn’t need a “company” to anazlize it. Let me guess the one with the mans hand on Alana is “photoshopped” too? Or the one of you house hunting with him , or the reports of you buying him a car?- All while denying you had contact with – Yeah ok June. Sounds to me like its another way try and fool the public that its all not real. All this woman does is lie! I can’t even get into the rest ( Cancer- really June? No it’s called being obese and depressed ) because I’m just so disgusted with her AND sugar bear.

    • PrincessMe says:

Exactly what I was about to say. WTF would she need it analyzed to know that it’s photoshopped if she wasn’t there. This *woman* is so stupid and such a damn liar, it hurts. If she told me that I’m a woman, I’d be looking for my frigging penis. Ugh. I just can’t with all these people.
And “Sugar Bear” doesn’t seem to give a shit either. I really hope someone steps up to make sure nothing bad happens to those kids in her custody, but at this point… it seems unlikely. Sad, just sad.

  22. pf says:

Uncle Poodle is the brother of Sugar Bear, not June. And I cannot believe I not only know that info, but that I just wrote that sentence.

  23. Duchess of Corolla says:

    She’s just vile. Ugh.

  24. anne_000 says:

I think in addition to trying to manipulate the public and media by using the cancer card, she’s also using it against her children so that they won’t question her actions and mindset and speak up against her. It makes them feel bad if they go up against mama who might be dying anytime soon. You’re right. She’s a sociopath.

  25. Sam says:

It’s people such as these who really truly try at my belief that we are all creatures worthy of compassion. Because June is really, reeeealllly testing me on that part. No part of her story evokes any sympathy on my part. Why would you just throw out “maybe I have cancer.” Guess what, June? We all might have cancer. Throwing out the name of one of the most feared illnesses on Earth so blithly isn’t exactly smart. Hell, even Lance Armstrong, that cheater, can at least say he actually HAD the disease. He didn’t fake that.

Oh, and if she actually had an analysis done to prove Photoshopping – now, this is just the lawyer in me speaking – cough up the report, June. Any reputable company would issue some kind of written statement affirming their findings, and as the requestor, you’d be entitled to a copy. So hand over the paper stating as such. Jeez, she really, truly thinks we’re all stupid, doesn’t she? Frankly, I’m starting to get insulted just listening to her.

  26. kri says:

I will just say karma has a long list of names and a good memory-I also hear that she loves serving it up cold. I am not wishing cancer on anyone, as both of my parents died from it, but this woman is doing NOTHING to atone for the horrific abuse of her children and the abuse she has inflicted on her own body.

  27. serena says:

Sure, now she’s playing the sympathy card. Too easy, June.
“Me as a mom, I like to take care of my kids first.” just shut the f-k up!
‘Ok, yes, there’s hurt’. Like hell there is, this woman doesn’t care or believe anything bad about the man who molested her daughter.

  28. chaine says:

The sickness she has is “Lost My Meal Ticket-Itis.” It can only be cured by a producer paying her some money to be on another reality show–perhaps one where she has “couples therapy” with Sugar Bear, or goes to a “celebrity” fit camp to lose some of the weight, or is named the star of “The Bachelorette: Backwoods Georgia Style.”

    • Sam says:

I’ve been calling it “Lie-abetes” but I like your’s better.

      • littlestar says:

        Lie-abetes is pretty good too.

I can’t believe I was ever duped by these people, thinking they were a “loving” family. Sugar Bear, why are you being such a moron? Your wife is purposely putting your daughter around a child-molester! WTF is wrong with them?

      • Sam says:

I’m not defending Sugar Bear, but sometimes men have the (incorrect) impression that wrestling custody from a woman is next to impossible. I also think maybe Sugar Bear knows that his current situation isn’t great for getting custody. Last I heard, he was not working, getting disability for unspecified ailments and living in a trailer TLC bought for him. Realistically, his chances of getting custody are pretty low. Maybe he knows that and he rationalizes it as “well, if I can get close to her, I can at least keep an eye out.” I’m not saying it’s right, but it does happen, and some men will think that’s better than nothing.

The biggest evil here is June. I dislike what Sugar bear is doing, but I can also get that he probably feels like he has no good options. Sadly, the other daughter (Lauryn, I think?) seems to have nobody. Her dad is a child molester (either the current one or the one still currently in jail). If anything happens to her. she is very truly SOL.

  29. DenG says:

She used the word “transpired”? I jumped out of my seat in shock, what with all the “I seen” and “he done”. Dang.

  30. gina says:

Had it not been for TLC choosing this woman’s daughter as their next victim, she would have quietly lived her life with her pedophiles and ignoramuses surrounding her nonproductive useless days. Her elder daughter’s abuse would have stayed in the vault. She is not unique, there are Junes in every nook and cranny of the States. I’m taking a stab in the dark that her constant pain is from overworking her heart and limbs from the extra l00 plus pounds she lugs around. Prior to the discovery of her dark life, she appeared as happy as a lark. Now that she has been found out, she wants to victimize herself. Just another American tragedy.

  31. Molly says:

Gee, maybe your body hurts because you weigh 3000 lbs?

  32. Patricia says:

You know what else disturbs me, and I’d like to hear if others have concerns about this:
Alana’s weight is absolutely ballooning. She was chubby when this show started but one could hope that some extra activity and a good growth spurt would help her to a healthy weight. But the way this family eats, plus the stress that this disgusting situation surely puts upon her poor little shoulders, is taking a huge toll. She has gone from overweight to obese and is on a very fast train to childhood morbid obesity right before our eyes.
She will be dealing with health problems and misery from her weight her whole life, as well as psychological problems from her reality fame and the downfall of her family and her screwed up mother.
I wish someone could help her health in all aspects. Poor child.

    • chaine says:

I agree. It’s a shame the dad is such a doormat. No one is looking our for this child, physically or emotionally.

    • Anony says:

Yeah I too have noticed that she suddenly gained a lot of weight (probably from stress). Very sad.

    • missy says:

YES!!!! She is so big now. And so rude. That childs cute crap is gone, now she just comes off as rude.

  33. Brionne says:

So what happened between her and sugar bear that their relationship can’t be rekindled? I have no illusions that sugar bear is equipped to take care of honey boo boo. He is too busy looking pitifully up at mama June like a mistreated dog. He doesn’t even have enough sense to know that a sexual offender around his 6 yr old is a bad idea!

  34. KatyD says:

Her face is made of lies.

    And marshmallows.

  35. Longhorn says:

I feel for Alana. With parents like these, I dont think she has a chance.

  36. phlyfiremama says:

This vile creature IS a cancer.

  37. murphy says:

Who is protecting your kids if you’re asleep all the time?

  38. G says:

Well I swore she would come out as a child abuse victim herself to get some sympathy but sore bones…yeah why didn’t I see that coming? SMH

  39. laura taylor says:

the pedo bear has cancer now she thinks she has cancer? just lost my mum last week from cancer. She has truly crossed the line, F off June

  40. jenn12 says:

“Please feel sorry for me and keep giving me attention. All I’ve done for years is f— criminals and have kids I don’t want to raise or believe when one of my sleazebag ‘boyfriends’ molests them. Also, I found a way to get rich AND not work AND get attention while rolling out lies that no one calls me on. Who’s next to pretend I have something important to say? Oprah?”

  41. LAK says:

Deeply reminded of the Ian Watkins case and his female fans who were happy to supply their own children for his desires.

They were jailed along with him, but it’s fascinating, though not for Anna and other victims, to see and hear the self delusion of such a female.

  42. Layla says:

I just want to pummel the both of them. I’d sooner set myself on fire then let a child molester NEAR my children, let alone if he had already molested one of them. And this a$$hat is hanging out with him. And Sugar Bear – you “got nothing against Mark”? Is he like, not all there? For the love of St. Pete the state needs to intervene here – these two couldn’t raise a barn let alone children.

    • missy says:

I wouldn’t even buy a house without doing the check to see if a registered offender was even close to mine.
