Alec & Hilaria Baldwin are expecting their second baby, Carmen is 16 months old

Holy crap, that sunset is amazing! Is that Photoshopped or filtered or something? Or did the sunset really look that crazy? Anyway, Hilaria Baldwin posted this photo ^^ on her Instagram yesterday with the message: “The sun has set on 2014 and on my year of daily #hilariaypd ….2015 is going to be very exciting as we are thrilled to announce we are expecting another little addition to our family! (tadasana) #yogapostureoftheday.”

So… no more daily yoga poses AND she’s expecting her second baby with husband Alec Baldwin??? For a second I was like “Wait, didn’t she just give birth to Gabriella?” But it was back in 2013. Carmen Gabriella is 16 months old and already walking. Is anyone a little bit surprised that Hilaria got pregnant again? I mean, the first baby didn’t surprise me – Hilaria is very young (she’s 30) but Alec is 56 and has an adult daughter already. I guess Alec and Hilaria’s marriage is stronger than we originally thought. Either that or… God knows. I still suspect that Alec loses his mind at least once a month and screams obscenities at Carmen Gabriella (I just have this image of Alec turning beet red and telling a baby to f—k off for some reason).

Anyway… congrats to Alec and Hilaria. Maybe this one will be a boy?

I thought her kid was called Carmen or something like that?

    • NewWester says:

      it is actually Carmen Gabriella

    • Sarah says:

Yes she’s called Carmen Gabriela. I only know because I follow both Hilaria and Alec on Instagram. I know it’s not a very popular opinion but I really like them as a couple, they seem very strong and happy together. And I enjoy her yoga poses, I much prefer them to pouty selfies! Happy New Year everyone!

  2. Resisting the urge to mention anything to do with child support checks…..OOPS.

    • NewWester says:

You only said out loud what the rest of us are thinking!! Lol

    • mimif says:

      Haha VC, ka-ching!💰

    • Kiddo says:

Maybe he’s one of those guys who will keep going until he has a son, because there aren’t enough males with the last name Baldwin.

    • Christin says:

Waiting for the other dark-haired gold digger (think furry moobs) to have a $econd one.

      • Lord, I’m surprised they’re even still together. But I suppose you’ll have to hold out for a few years, so that people don’t bash you for having a mindless affair with a married woman, getting her pregnant, her getting a quickie divorce, and then having the kid……you gotta stay together so that people think it’s true lurve, not because a rich married woman got pregnant…..and probably threatened to snitch when her rich husband said “Deuces!” and threw a peace sign….

May be wayyy older men are better fathers than younger ones! Got more time, money, less stress and patience to deal with young wife and children. Ireland, as young child, got the worse of him.

    • Jayna says:

Except he’s had the same, if not more, blowups and tantrums since he’s been with Hilaria. She hasn’t calmed him down at all.

    • Lisa says:

The child is at a high risk for Noonan Syndrome because of his age and her odds of a child with Down syndrome quadruple. Children of men 45 and over have overall lower IQs, are 70% more likely to drop out of school and achieve 10 years less academically, on average, than children of men 30 and younger. Even at 35, the risk of certain kinds of pediatric cancer increase 50% because of mutations in the sperm. The studies on these mutations have just started, so the ones out there are just the tip of the iceberg.

      • RJ says:

You must be fun at parties

      • Valois says:

Lisa, could you suggest some studies on that? I’d like to mention your points in a disc regarding that with having actual proof for it 🙂

      • homegrrrl says:

Eggs age but male gametes regenerate perpetually. This is biological and not a cultural reflection on the successful fertility of a may December relationship.

    • Lisa says:

@Valois. Sure, I can’t get to it right now but I’ll try to post them on Saturday. 🙂

    Congrats !

  5. Francesca says:

Maybe he just really loves the pitter patter of filthy little pig feet around the house?

  6. Misprounced Name Dropper says:

Well this will either keep him young or make him age more rapidly.

  7. Belle Epoch says:

He doesn’t look very happy. Is that just his usual attitude?

  8. Tiffany says:

Seeing that pic of her clipping the kid nails while sleeping remind me of my mother and my sister. Mom did not have a choice but to wait until she was asleep as my sis turned into Ali if anyone with clippers came towards her when she was awake.

On interview shows, Alec is always interesting, entertaining and is obviously intelligent. Hilaria got some flak for her yoga poses but I know judging by many online posts, she has motivated a lot of people to take better care of themselves. After all, it’s not as if she was flashing inflated lips or a massive bare rear end.

    • Emma says:

I really enjoy listening to his podcast. I think it’s called, ‘And another thing…’ He is a really good interviewer, because he brings a lot of energy and enthusiasm but also allows the person being interviewed to talk. He interviewed julianne moore a few weeks ago and it was great.

I can forgive Alec some of his rage, because overall I think he’sjust a very high energy person, who sometimes erupts, but not in a way that you would take too seriously. He’s not like one of those cold, clinical types who occasionally erupt…they are scary I think, but after hearing Alec on his podcast, I don’t think he really has a cold, menacing side to him. Obviously anger management is an issue for him, but I think he also has a lot of great qualities and is really clever.

  10. Val says:

Wait, no more yoga poses on her instagram?!! *unfollows* Lame.

  11. Sam says:

Alec Baldwin is one of those guys who I have a strong personal dislike for but who I actually like as an actor. I went to a screening of Still Alice and really walked away loving his performance in it – I thought he was at least as good as Julianne Moore and it’s a shame he’s not getting more accolades for it. I wish he wasn’t such a tyrant-type in actual life so I could like him more.

  12. PennyLane says:

“Say something nice…” (My Mom’s voice in my head.)

Little Gabriella appears to be happy and well cared for and very sweet and adorable. Here’s hoping that Hilaria can continue to shield her child(ren) from their father’s rages, or at least help them understand that even if their Dad has said awful, hurtful things to them that it is NOT their fault. The problem is his, they have nothing to do with it, and they do not need his attention or approval in any way. If she can instill in her children a sense of their own innate value and self worth, then they will not be nearly so hurt when their father loses it and screams horrible, hurtful things at them. (Notice I wrote when and not if.)

If Hilaria can help them learn to just roll their eyes and walk away when their father starts screaming at them and punching things, that will be the greatest give she can give her children. Hopefully they will grow up to be grounded, resilient, compassionate, self-confident human beings who do not need their father’s approval…because they’re never going to get it anyways.

  13. Sara says:

    Congrats to both of them.

On a side note: Where are all the comments about him being too old for a new baby? If this was a 59 year old actress or even a 45 year old one, there would be many comments about her selfishness and how she is too old to be pregnant etc.
I am glad there are not any because ageism regarding pregnancy is very annoying and wrong. I get tried of seeing the comments regarding pregnancy, gender and age on different sites.

    • Lisa says:

Yes, fathers 40 and older are at a higher risk for children with everything from Down Syndrome, schizophrenia, autism and mental retardation. The studies on the mutations in mens sperm have really just started. In the last couple of months, studies have shown the father’s age is much more important than previously thought in risk of Autism Spectrum Disorder and the risk of severe autism. There have been studies linking older fathers to many different illnesses, but male researchers ignored them for DECADES .

The older a man is the higher the risk for miscarriage in his partner. Some studies have found the risk for pregnancy complications increase with the father’s age. Studies on how age impacts a man’s fertility have just started. Several studies show the older a man gets the longer it takes to get a woman pregnant, and the woman’s age does not matter at all. They show 40-50% decline by 40 and a steep drop after that. There are huge variations in male fertility, this is for the average man. Some are even less fertile by 40. This is due to DNA damage that starts in their 20s. Most of this research is being done by women, needless to say.

  14. MrsBPitt says:

No one make better parents, than two, self-centered, ego maniacs…especially, when one has a drinking and anger problem…sure, go on and make some more filthy, little pigs…think of all the business some lucky shrink will have in about 17 or 18 years…

  15. MediaMaven says:

you know she’s got Gloria Allred and/or Laura Wasser on speed-dial.

  16. LeAnn Stinks says:

Congrats, but she seems like such a fameho.

  17. PJ says:

Though a pregnancy is hardly a reliable representation of the fact that a marriage is “solid” (people sadly get divorced during pregnancies or try and somehow use unborn children to repair already extremely damaged relationships all the time), I’m happy for them 😄 Both she and Alec have been VERY open about the fact that they have at least one round the clock nanny for Carmen and have since her birth so, though it also surprised me a bit to hear that they’re expecting again, it’s not like Alec is exactly doing much of the daily heavy lifting of parenting a toddler, you know? I don’t think his age is much of a factor…

Fun side note: Hilaria just announced on her Instagram today that the baby IS in fact a boy!! I wonder what Ireland’s thoughts are on this? (She’s been *suspiciously* absent from both her dad’s and Hilaria’s social media accounts since she began dating a woman last year.)

  18. Dorky says:

*looks at the pictures* Huh. I didn’t realize Alec Baldwin was married to Juliette Lewis. Awesome!

  19. Sam H x says:

Not a fan of either, I wish Hilaria has a happy and healthy pregnancy.

I think children who are born to parents who chose to have them later in life can only judge them for making such a decision. Most likely they will over look their age and love them regardless.

  20. paula says:

Totally OT, but does anyone know if Alec has another adult daughter – besides Ireland? I keep reading about a Haily Baldwin – usually in connection with the Kardrasshians and was curious.

  21. Miss Gloss says:

    Lock that shit down, Hilaria!!
