All of the Swiftlunatics are in a tizzy about this, and for the life of me, I cannot understand why. Like, I romanticize Swifty’s relationship with Jake Gyllenhaal and I totally believe that Swifty had a “meltdown” when she saw him at a Globes party on Sunday, because she has a history of freaking out on Jake at industry parties. But Tay-Tay’s relationship with Harry Styles? I don’t know, I guess I don’t really care. I cared about them when they were together. I cared when he dumped her and she stalked him for a bit. But I actually believe that they’re on somewhat friendly terms these days. So maybe that’s why I’m not seeing the drama in this video. Swifty and a group of friends ran into Harry and some of his friends. Taylor barely acknowledged him?
This was in the lobby of the Sunset Marquis on Wednesday night. Here’s the thing: Swifty is such a bad actress, I totally understand her thought process here. She knows that Harry Styles, her ex-boyfriend, is there. She’s assessed his proximity, which is why she quickly puts her head down and acts like her phone is giving her life. Don’t look up. So focused on the phone. Don’t acknowledge him. Someone is tweeting something very important. Quick glance to see where he is, give him your best angle. These text messages are epic. SO important. Oh, hey, eye contact with my ex. No biggie. Look at friends. Glance back to phone. Glance back at him. And eye-flick that says “’Sup.” Walk away. Middle School Dramz!
That’s just my reading. Harry would have said a proper hello to her if she had done a little more to acknowledge his presence. But hey, we’ve all played that game before, haven’t we?

I LOVE style. One of my top 3 favorite songs in 1989. And no, im not a TS fan but thats a great song. I had countless drives with a good friend listening to it very loudly in the car. Yes. I did that.

Normally I’d say that I could be just as awkward as Taylor when I run into certain ex boyfriends, but she has said several times that her and Harry are “such good friends”. Weird.
Why would TS be put off that someone is VS model and an unknown too boot? I don’t even rate TS but this kind of thinking annoys me. As if dating a model somehow is better than someone who has some kind of talent that got them where they are. You can say a lot about TS but she is that rare thing a pop singer who writes her own songs. Take note Katy Perry and Rihanna.
Besides Harry doesnt have relationships. Every time you read something about him and girls its “they are not exclusive yet” and you see him with them for 5 minutes and then they are never to be seen again. His girlfriends are mostly for PR or some hook ups. Kendall Jenner and TS just looked like PR to me. I doubt it ran deep for either of them.

I would be embarrassed and not make eye contact with someone I wrote songs about even though it was a pr set up. I like her but it’s pretty weird to use a relationship that lasted a few months years ago to promote an album.

Yes I remember their body language when they were dating. They were just beginning and had ZERO chemistry. They even looked painfully uncomfortable walking side by side. A lot of these relationships are set up for publicity purposes and imo this one was no exception.

I have no idea on what terms they’re at these days, but I can only say (no shade to her) that I’ve always liked the way he never seemed/seems to have a bad word to say about her, ever. About no one else, really, at least that I know of. I think it says a lot about him as a person (god, I said “about” way too many times). So far, he kinda seems like the anti-Joe Jonas.

Harry seems to be enjoying his early twenties while he can. I see him ending up with someone very surprising in the end, à la Clooney or Pitt, etc. A smart woman who is politically involved, a humanitarian, and of course, very, very beautiful. He’s that type. You have your genuine modelizers, like I suspect DiCaprio may be at this point, but I think he is just enjoying women who it’s easy to be with; fun, beautiful women with their own careers and L.A. reputation to worry about, who arent gonna be digging for ultimate commitment — more likely to be digging for excuses as to why they forgot to call YOU for two weeks iykwim.
It was never gonna work out for these two, she is looking to have it all, and he is still very much in the right now stage of his life. And anyway, dont think she’d be the type of woman he’d ultimately settle for; shes a pragmatic opportunist and he’s a weirdo idealist. I suspect he mistook her for the ~fun and~famous type I mentioned before and quickly discovered he was way, way wrong.
