Howard Stern tells all about Jennifer Aniston & Justin Theroux’s wedding

wenn22472376

Who even needs to leak details to People Magazine when you can just invite Howard Stern to your wedding and have him spread all of the details on his show? That’s exactly what happened. And I actually believe Stern’s version of events so much more than the information provided by unnamed sources to People. On his show on Monday, Stern basically had a checklist of all of the information he was going to confirm, clarify or deny about Jennifer Aniston and Justin Theroux’s wedding. Some highlights:

Stern knew ahead of time about the secret wedding: “I was so nervous. They’re so secretive, those two.” He said he prepared his toast in advance and he did not toast with Robert Downey Jr because RDJ wasn’t there.

How Stern feels about Justin: “I’m very friendly with Justin. I like him very much…I really admire him. I even said in my speech to them that if one of my daughters brought home a guy like Justin, I’d be very pleased. Except for the s–tty tattoos, ’cause he’s got some f–king weird ones. And except for the fact that I gave him a journal to draw in and he draws pictures of dead zombie babies with blood dripping out their head on every almost page. I said, ‘Those two things might disturb me.’ But aside from that…”

Stern hated the backless chairs & lack of cell phones: “They had these little tiny chairs. There was a table, and then you sit down and the chairs were like poufs, like little pillow poufs. I’m 6-foot-f–king-5! I’m a grown man! Why can’t I have my cell phone? I don’t want to take a picture of you two! I really don’t. I want my cell phone so after I make this speech I can call my car and get the f–k outta here! People were laughing at my misery. I had such a bad attitude. I was wrecked. When I went to their wedding, I felt like…death.”

Terry Richardson was the only photographer allowed: “The irony is, I’ve been on vacation with those two, and they take pictures every f–king minute! They’re constantly shooting pictures. But if I take a picture, I’m committing a sin! This whole…It was always called a birthday party. Whenever you got an e-mail, it was a birthday party. They’re so secretive that they even had the wedding on a Wednesday because nobody gets married on a Wednesday.”

What Stern’s speech entailed: “I talked about some personal stuff, too. I complimented Justin’s mother on raising such a wonderful son. I love him. I told Jennifer that she deserved a guy like this, because after all, she’s been very sweet and generous with us. But Justin and his body—his abs, his ass—look at him! I’m giddy over him! Although Orlando Bloom blows him away.”

Stern didn’t know who Orlando Bloom was: “This really handsome guy is sitting next to me at the table. This f–king guy. He’s, like, better looking than Johnny Depp, Brad Pitt and Tom Cruise all rolled into one. So, I’m sitting and talking to this guy—interesting dude. We’re hitting it off and talking for a long time. I said, ‘What is your name?’ He says, ‘Orlando.’ He’s a nice guy. He’s so handsome. I said to him at one point, ‘This must be tough for you to be at this wedding. You haven’t gotten laid or gotten a b–w job in a half an hour. You must be used to getting f–ked every 15 minutes.’ He said, ‘You know, you’re right.’ I said to Whitney Cummings, ‘Would you take Orlando somewhere and b–w him?’ And she said, ‘OK!’ And she lifted up her dress. It was very funny.”

Jimmy Kimmel officiated the wedding ceremony: “He did a beautiful job. I didn’t think he’d get through it. Jimmy’s still depressed about that lion getting killed over in Africa.”

[From E! News]

Stern said that Ellen DeGeneres yelled at him for laughing at Kimmel’s tears, but Stern yelled at her right back because he has a house full of rescue cats and he takes animal stuff seriously. I would totally watch that: Ellen and Howard yelling at each other about cats in the middle of a wedding. What else? Stern says that he danced his first dance with Orlando Bloom and “Orlando grabbed me so tight I thought my bones were going to break.” Stern has a bro-crush on Orlando, although I think it was a total burn for Orly’s film career that Stern had no idea who he was.

Obviously, the most interesting stuff to me was Stern’s information about Justin. Justin is a weird guy with weird tattoos and he loves to draw crazy dead babies because OMG, is he 14 years old?!

PS… the NYDN says People Magazine “got screwed” with their Jennifer Aniston-wedding coverage. People has been boot-licking for Aniston for years and media insiders are laughing about the fact that Aniston didn’t give People Mag anything really.

You know, maybe it’s the fact that I’m getting married in less than two months, but … I really hope these two crazy kids are in it for the long haul and this isn’t some kind of stunt marriage.

    • Franca says:

Yeah, me too. I quite like her and I like them together.

    • minime says:

Yey! Congrats and all the best for your wedding Rachel!

    • lola says:

I hope they stay happily married forever. Staying separated most of the time will probably keep them together. I don’t see them changing their lifestyle, him living his life in NYC, her living her life in LA, and coming together a few times a year. Him with his friends, her with her friends. That should keep a marriage fresh. Maybe it’s not what most people do, but it seems to work for this couple.
And congrats Rachel, on your upcoming wedding.

    • FLORC says:

Yay! and Grats! I bet your wedding will be lovely!

      lola
It works for some to live seperately. I personally don’t get it, but it works.

      • lola says:

I agree, there are many happy bi-costal marriages. It wouldn’t be what I wanted, but it has worked for them for a few years, now.

  2. Talie says:

A lot of people don’t realize that Justin has a huge bald spot right before he flips up his hair. It took me by surprise when I saw a pap shot of it.

    • lola says:

He wears a toupee, he’s lost most of his hair, on the front and that big bald spot in the back. That picture of him in NYC, hugging Terry Richardson is the candid that showed his big bald spot. Of course, when that bald spot was seen and people talked about it, all heck broke loose, the Aniston fans went nuts, and started claiming a certain mega superstar, known for his thick golden locks, is really a bald guy. LOL

    • Cleo says:

Yea, though Aniston knows she’s no beauty, I think a bald dude is a deal breaker for her so she had him get a lace front, and shellack and whip his remaining shoe polish colored strands into a whirlycue on the crown camoflaging the bald dome.

  3. Kiddo says:

DBs! Where is mimif? We might have to invite von Brow into our club.

ETA: Howard sounds like a grouchy old lady, but it’s still funny.

  4. Kitten says:

LOL. I miss listening to Stern.

Howard’s wife Beth is also a huge animal lover. She’s always volunteering and donating to animal charities.

No comment about Aniston and Theroux except for congrats. I like them together–they seem like a good fit.

    • V4Real says:

He tells it like it is, doesn’t he. I love Howard but I don’t love him enough to pay for Sirius Radio.

Chairs with no backs…ouch. My drunk , clumsy ass would have probably been on the floor.

      • Kitten says:

“I love Howard but I don’t love him enough to pay for Sirius Radio.”

Yup. Same here. I still miss laughing as hard as I did when I listened to him for 13 years on WBCN though.

      • Franca says:

Why don’t you watch his show on youtube?

      • Penelope says:

Howard hasn’t told it like it is for years now–he probably ran all these comments past his buddies Jen & Justin. Hollywood Howard has completely sold out to all the phony celebrities he used to so brilliantly skewer. He’s become one of them and now he’s thrilled to be hanging with the Cool Kids.

        RIP, Funny, outsider, tell-it-like-it-is Howard!

      • doofus says:

I subscribed to Sirius when he first moved over there, SOLELY for his show. I learned to really love the options they have…

…however, they then changed their policy that you had to pay EXTRA to get online access (not the case when I first signed up) without telling you. they just cut off the internet access one day, no warning, and put up a pop-up saying that it was an extra fee per month for that.

and, if you wanted multiple components (car radio, portable, etc.) you had to pay for a subscription for each one. I felt like, after getting a pretty good deal, that they started nickel-and-diming me for everything and I got tired of it.

      • kcarp says:

He isn’t as funny as he use to be. I mean some of it still amusing but he likes to kiss Hollywood a** a lot these days.

      • Kiddo says:

kcarp, Being on America’s Got Talent ruined his cred on outsiderness. I haven’t listened to him in years, but now he has the trophy wife and celeb friends, so he’s, no doubt, shifted mainstream.

      • kcarp says:

        @Kiddo

AGT has ruined him that is for sure. Ya he isn’t in touch with his audience. It is almost like he is so rich he can only relate to rich people.

I listen out of habit more than anything. It is like a hate listen. I have to change the channel though when he starts talking about Jimmy Kimmel blah blah blah.

      • V4Real says:

How did a simple thread about Howard Stern turn into a no holds barred brawl about AJ/JA?

It’s like people were just sitting in the cut waiting for the right moment to go on the attack. It’s like playing a game of Double Dutch; when do I jump in, when do I jump in.

      • funcakes says:

When Howard started at serious he had five shows a week. Then it was four shows. Now it’s down to three shows a week with a lot of time off.
And when the show is on it’s 2 percent comedy, 90 percent celebrity kiss ass interviews.
He’s out of touch with the audience. He use to keep up with the trends just to comment and use it for comedy.
He pretty much act as though he’s doing everyone a favor by just showing up.

      • Snappyfish says:

Penelope wins the internet today!! Her summary of “Hollywood Howard” was 100 percent on point!!

      • LeAnn Stinks says:

Agreed. Stern has been a Hollywood kiss ass for a long time now, and Kimmel, sold out as well.

He used to make fun of Oprah all the time until he met her, now he treats her like she is the second coming…blech. Bring back the fat, “Man Show” Kimmel.

    • Esmom says:

No comment either. I got labeled on the last JA post as an AJ hater/JA lover because I didn’t come out in force and condemn someone for making a sarcastic crack about the Jolie Pitts.

My head is still spinning, lol….I was foolish enough to think the cray had died down a bit but this wedding news seems to have triggered something.

      • Kiddo says:

I think it’s a CB hazing ritual, lol. Everyone, at least once, has to endure the stan paddling of h8tr designation.

      • Esmom says:

Kiddo, that makes me feel better. I guess.

      • minime says:

        Welcome to the club 😉

I’m actually surprised that they really pulled off this wedding in such a secretive way…I wasn’t expecting that from them! They do seem to match quite well and they are actually cute together…apart from the orangeness.

Howard Stern…I used to like his show when I was 16 or so…now..hmm..not so much. I don’t believe that being himself in the showbiz he doesn’t know Orlando Bloom, specially attending all the stuff with Bieber and so on…no, he’s full of sh**

      • doofus says:

Esmom, that was WACK. some folks are in a little too deep, I think.

      • Kiddo says:

Hey, try saying that you might be starting to like Miles Teller, or his interview, as a toss-away comment. You will be descended upon by the armies of Taylor Swift, as an enemy combatant of the girl movement.

      • Thea says:

        @Esmom: that person was right.

You constantly jump on Brangelina fans like a pack of wolfs for talking about the triangle and write negative stuff about Jennifer but when others write negative comments about the brangelina and positive about Jennifer- you suspiciously don’t say anything to them.

If someone points that out – you act all sanctimonious and act like you are neutral.

The way you all viciously jumped on Maya was the reason I decided not to be a silent reader anymore.

      • Esmom says:

Oops, sorry guys, one of them followed me here.

Thea, whoever you are, please. Let it go. I come in peace.

Kiddo, yes, if there’s one thing I’ve learned is there clearly is no such thing as a “toss away” comment among certain folks. Every word is deadly serious.

      • doofus says:

        oh, dear…

        here we go again.

      • minime says:

😀 stating the obvious is now “viciously jumping on” someone…Too much investment. Better irony and sarcasm comprehension might also help.
I wish I was actually mimif ’cause she can use both of these in an amazing way!

      • Emma - The JP Lover says:

@Thea, who wrote: You constantly jump on Brangelina fans like a pack of wolfs for talking about the triangle and write negative stuff about Jennifer but when others write negative comments about the brangelina and positive about Jennifer- you suspiciously don’t say anything to them. … If someone points that out – you act all sanctimonious and act like you are neutral.”

That’s what they all do. It’s so blatantly obvious, the only people they’re fooling is themselves. It’s a little game they play where they delight in spouting backhanded comments–as if they’re the only ones in on a joke–and then when you call them out on their shite they’re all “What a ‘LOON! Why are you so invested in people you don’t even know (this after waxing poet about JustJen as if they were Adam and Eve),” and my personal favorite, which we’ve been ‘privileged’ to witness today, “I can’t believe how those vicious loons attacked me! All I did was make an innocent comment. Aren’t I allowed to voice my opinion?” Oy!

@Thea again, who wrote: “The way you all viciously jumped on Maya was the reason I decided not to be a silent reader anymore.”

It was like a feeding frenzy, wasn’t it? That’s why I advised Maya not to feed the Sharks. LOL! But you didn’t see any of us create a 20-post comment complaining about how mean they were, did you? 🙂

I know this post won’t last long so I hope you get a chance to read it … and take heart. You are not alone, but try not to be pulled in. Bait and switch is their favorite game … don’t feed the Sharks.

      • Jessica says:

Did we need twenty jokes to tell Maya how ridiculous her post was?

      • Kitten says:

LOL the histrionics on this thread are A-MAZING.

Also, we really need to legalize weed on a federal level.
I think if we all just took a deeeep breath and lit one up maybe we’d realize that celeb gossip isn’t all that serious.

      • doofus says:

Kitten, the persecution complexes are astounding.

        *puff puff*

        *passes to Kitten*

maybe I’ll go to some political site’s comment section for some light reading…

      • Thea says:

@Emma: thank you for agreeing with AND for proving that many others are thinking the same.

And no – I left that wedding thread when someone said that Maya should have her brain removed. As I mentioned above – they were like a pack of wolves circling to attack one person.

I just don’t get these people – this is called celebitchy and people should be allowed to write whatever they want without being accused of being a mental basket case.

@Minime: stating the obvious is something but telling someone that they need to have their brains removed and to seek mental health help – is a whole different level.

      • Amelie says:

Yep, Emma and Thea. And true to form they report posts to silence you. The passive-aggressive bait and switch is exactly what it is. I too, saw the bullying of Maya and thought enough is enough. Someone needs to step in and say something. What is more unconscionable is the refusal by them to admit what we all see. Just deflection, patronizing passive-aggressive insults and bait and switch. Its such middle school behaviour.

      • Kitten says:

@Doofus-Yep. Weed, and I made my favorite sugar cookies shaped like cats. Also, I have Cheez-its. Kumbaya my friend 😉

      • Jessica says:

I’ve noticed it too. I’ve seen it on here plenty of times. I remember saying something about it a few years back, when I saw people teasing others. I don’t understand the point of teasing someone, even if their comment was ridiculous. I mean this isn’t grade school. It’s just like grade school. Someone makes a ridiculous comment and we tease them and make jokes about them. It even overlaps into further topic related threads. Maya made that comment on the JA wedding article, but they were still talking about it in the next JA article. We’re all grown ups. Did they really say she needed her brain removed? Smh

      • V4Real says:

Posted in the wrong place but I will happily ask again.

How did a simple thread about Howard Stern turn into a no holds barred brawl about AJ/JA?

It’s like people were just sitting in the cut waiting for the right moment to go on the attack. It’s like playing a game of Double Dutch; when do I jump in, when do I jump in.

It’s like high school , the adult version. The woman who screams at the ocean and the woman who screams under the ocean don’t care for none of yall. You guys need to make like Frozen and “let it go.”

      • Kitten says:

@V4Real-Just your typical Triangle of Doom thread.

“You guys need to make like Frozen and ‘let it go.’ ”

Yep, times a million. Will never happen though,

      • doofus says:

Cheezitten, you had me at Cheez its.

      • Jessica says:

@V4Real How did a simple thread about Howard Stern turn into a no holds barred brawl about AJ/JA?i
It started that way. However, the topic of poster, Maya being teased by other posters was brought up. I read both JA articles. Maya made a ridiculous comment related to the triangle. She was then teased by several users because of the comment she made. Instead of leaving the discussion in the JA wedding thread, the teasing continued in another JA thread. She was told she needed to be put on a 5150 and needed a need brain. I found this harsh and unnecessary. People shouldn’t make jokes like this and say it’s just irony and sarcasm. It isn’t funny :/

      • maggie says:

Esmom, just throw them some BALLS!

      • V4Real says:

@Jessica I have to disagree. this particular thread did not start that way. @Kitten post number 4 started like this.

“LOL. I miss listening to Stern.
Howard’s wife Beth is also a huge animal lover. She’s always volunteering and donating to animal charities.

No comment about Aniston and Theroux except for congrats. I like them together–they seem like a good fit.

Then I responded to her about Howard Stern as did a few others. Next thing you know posters brought the triangle to thread #4. So no, it didn’t start that way.

      • Bridget says:

Certain celebrities have some very ardent defenders/offenders The Triangle of Doom. Benedict Cumberbatch. Kristen Stewart. It’s amazing the things that are brought up on those threads. But I’ll admit, as weird as I find some of those levels of fandom, I’ve been feeling kind of bad on some of the threads because there seems to be a tipping point where all of a sudden a ton of folks just pile on someone. Folks can get overly harsh. I’m all for snark, but I think there’s a difference between that and flat out mean.

    • Talie says:

His full shows are posted on youtube… that’s where I listen.

    • V4Real says:

I only listen to him on YouTube when he have on certain celebrities. It was easy to listen to him when he was on free radio because you could listen on your drive in to work or on your clock radio at work.

God forbid my supervisor enters my office and I have Howard playing on YouTube
on my work computer. Esp if he walks in and he hears some of the vulgar language that exist on that radio talk show.

    • Misti says:

@Kitten – I like them too and wish them well.
      I’ve always liked Jen’s style.
And dirty secret – Always had a crush on Justin since Romy and Michelle’s HS Reunion!

      • Kitten says:

I gained a lot of respect for Justin after watching Leftovers. I’m not a huge fan of the show but I really thought Justin was the best part of it. The dude can act, no doubt.

    • laura in LA says:

I love Howard Stern more with each passing year. Sometimes I worry he’s selling out by becoming so friendly w/celebs, but this here proves we can still count on him to tell it like it is…

I also like it that he and Jimmy Kimmel are upset about Cecil, too. 🙁

      • Tara says:

I’m pleasantly surprised too. I love that, even when he’s friends with people, he can still be candid, snarky and mad funny. I think he’s right about Orlando Bloom; people like to say his career has nosedived, but my thoughts are always, “but he’s Orlando bloom! He gets to be Orlando bloom every day. With those perfectly masculine elfin features, the accent… And a career that keeps him paid and occupied. How bad can that be?” Love the image of Howard dancing with a faux passionate Orlando … And of Ellen and Howard yelling at each other. And Kimmel still being upset about Cecil the lion. Paints a picture of caring, funny people who have moments of being over themselves. Would love to be at their table, fictional or not. Oh and congrats to justjen; color me surprised.

    • Jessica says:

@V4Real It started at #4 after Esmom comment the discussion went further about being mean to other members on CB.
      @Bridget
+1,0000 It’s why I’m commenting now. I usually lurk and rarely comment. I remember having this same conversation about posters being mean to others, about a year ago. It’s funny that the people doing the teasing now are the same people that were doing it then. It’s a cycle, led by the unholy triangle. One person makes a ridiculous comment about AJ/JA/BP and the rest of the posters pile on him/her and make mean comments. People just take it too far. When you feel the need to tease a poster, in a thread and carry on in a separate thread it becomes bullying.

  5. MrsBB says:

I like her, always have. I also like them together. Glad she seems to have found happiness.

  6. Livealot says:

I’m happy she’s “officially” moved on

    • Emma - The JP Lover says:

      @Livealot …

Me too. I ‘do’ hope they’ll make it, but I’m most happy that she’s ‘officially’ moved on.

  7. Belle Epoch says:

Haha, PEOPLE magazine. All those thousands of puff pieces and covers … for nothing!

    • Kate says:

Right? But really, they were stupid if they really thought they were going to get a big 10 page exclusive. Aniston may talk through her reps to the tabloids, but she’s never let them all the way in. Only one picture of her first marriage was released. She didn’t give them any exclusive engagement pics or personally give them the whole proposal story. She doesn’t let photographers into her home, even though there’s a lucrative market out there for a female celeb like her who’s renovated a bunch of houses. She could use that to do a GOOP-y lifestyle business, but she doesn’t because for her, that side of her life is private.

She has a line. She’ll talk about her personal life, but no one gets inside her house, no one gets her private photo albums. She’s always been like that, even in her early Friends days she created these boundaries. If People is all butt hurt now it’s because they misjudged her.

      • lisa2 says:

she has let photographers in her home. She did and whole spread of one of her homes. She has invited Access to her bday parties. She let some movie blogger come to her home to interview her; something that is not usually done because most celebs do these at hotels.

I have no problem with celebs having their wedding pics in mags.. if you do so fine but not doing so doesn’t make you “better than anyone else”

      • GoOnGirl says:

Jennifer did let the press into her home when she did the spread for Architectural Digest. Isn’t this the same as letting them. There was a five or six page spread showing her furniture, etc. But you’re right! She is private.

      • Kate says:

She let them into a house she hadn’t lived in for quite some time. It was a show home at that point, no longer her home.

Lots of celebrities do interviews at home. Some let the interviewer go wild with observations, others don’t even let describe anything beyond the front door. Jennifer belongs to the latter category.

No one said not selling your pictures makes you better than anyone else. It doesn’t. I was just responding to the idea that People was pissed she didn’t give them everything. If that’s true, then they were clueless, because she’s never given anyone everything.

      • Carmen says:

If she is so private, why did she let that Vanity Fair writer into her home for that revoltingly weepy interview?

      • lola says:

She let her home be featured in Architectural Digest, she hires a pap to get pictures of people that attend her parties, arriving and going in her home. She invited movie critics to her home, that is not done in HW, and she was criticized for it. She is far from being a private person.
I’d say the reason no pictures of the actual wedding were released, is, she’s still trying to get someone to pay her.
In the Vanity Fair interview, she let Lesley Bennett into her home, and told her how happy she was that she got to finally decorate her home in the style she loved, which was very comfy, chintzy sofas, and nothing “modern”, which was what her ex-husband loves. Her home in Architectural Digest was all modern, hard edged, and stark, exactly the style her ex-husband loves. It was sort of pathetic, as if she wanted him to notice her. I actually felt embarrassed for her.

      • Bridget says:

The OP is actually pretty on point. For someone who’s job is to strategically use her personal life to help sell her professional life, she’s remarkably good at revealing very little about herself. What she does say in interviews is usually stuff we already know but with a good pull quote. The Architectural Digest shoot was for a house that she wasn’t even living in if I remember correctly. She and Pitt never released more than one wedding pic, and never did an official engagement pic. We only knew what their wedding rings looked like because they sued the jeweler. Aniston is a weird specimen: we feel like we know SO much about her, but it took years to put together that picture and even then it’s not too much. I think part of her success is that she’s an ideal client for someone like Huvane: she clearly takes his direction, and he gets to work his magic.

    • mia girl says:

Maybe I’m speaking too soon (because stuff may be coming) but I like that almost a week out and no pictures of the actual wedding in any magazine/site.

I hope they keep it like that. It would be a departure from the usual celeb endorsed wedding spreads. I’d be impressed if Aniston kept the pictures private.

      • Alice says:

Unexpected? You people are the ones who think she calls the tabloids when she never shares anything about ger private life, LOL!

      • mia girl says:

I’m not sure who “you people” are exactly. I personally am not one who points fingers at Jennifer Aniston and her dealings with the press. It’s not really that interesting to me. So maybe I’m getting flack for others. Whatever.

Now, I changed my use of “unexpected” after you saw it because I meant it more generally about a high profile celebrity, not specifically this celebrity. And I knew it might be misconstrued and taken personal by a defensive fan. Guess I was right.

      • Kiddo says:

Yeah mia girl is not ‘you people’.

      • doofus says:

        lol…I’m reminded of Tropic Thunder…

“What do you mean, ‘you people?'”

“What do *you* mean, ‘you people?'”

      • mia girl says:

Thanks Kiddo. I’m often accused of being ” “people” but never “you people”.

Doofus – yes! And now we’ve come full circle as Theroux wrote the screenplay for Tropic Thunder. Ha!

    • Emma - The JP Lover says:

@Belle Epoch, who wrote: ” Haha, PEOPLE magazine. All those thousands of puff pieces and covers … for nothing!”

Jen may regret dissing “People” magazine. They have been her willing PR partner for quite some time now, and I’m sure they expected an exclusive. And let’s face it, if Just-Jen didn’t want news about their ‘secret’ wedding getting out, they wouldn’t have had an open air ‘secret’ wedding in her Bel Air backyard, and all the guest wouldn’t be gushing over the details to the press like Howard Stern. Who is next to blab … Uncle Terry?

      • lisa2 says:

I think he will leak some pics.

      • Camille (The Original) says:

Maybe the photos will end up in Vogue.

      • Cleo says:

Yea, I think Lisa2 nailed it…look for the Uncle Terry exclusive shots to appear in some high profile pictorial, uncoincidentally around the time the JPs are promoting their film By the Sea. I’m thinking ‘W,’ or Vogue..or something esoteric enough to not be in Walgreen’s impulse aisle next to the aveeno hand lotion.

      • pwal says:

Your take is interesting, Cleo, but would it be a better move than People? After all, her appeal is that she’s ‘just like us’ and her making her wedding pics harder to get may tick off those who rooted for her for so long.

Mind you, I can kinda see it, especially with W. A certain couple had some great pictorials with W, one rooted in fantasy, another one rooted in reality.

  8. Jenns says:

I remember when Jennifer Aniston was on Stern back in the 90s, before Friends. I think she was promoting some weight loss thing?

Anyway, it’s kinda weird of Howard turned into the one thing he used to hate. Now he’s BFFs with all of these celebs.

    • Appe Tartin says:

She came in once as a Nutra-System girl, it was basically a live paid commercial. This was years before any acting or fame.

      • lola says:

It was Nutri-System, she used that herself to lose 30 or more pounds, when she was criticized for being “fat” after auditioning for parts.

  9. Olenna says:

Don’t care about the wedding scoop. Just came here to see what other crazy sh*t Howard had to say. Orlando…LOL!

  10. tracking says:

Gosh, he’s such a whiney baby. And crass. It seems like he was careful not to spill too many beans though. Aniston was private with her first wedding too, why wouldn’t she be with this one? I do hope she releases one photo so we can see the dress.

  11. MoxyLady007 says:

I have always loved that Elf. Sigh. I miss him.

  12. renee28 says:

He’s like your old, crotchety uncle. I love it.

    • Original T.C. says:

      LOL. Agreed.
His version of the secret “not so secret” wedding was a million times more entertaining than all the other insider stories. I don’t care about cake or the dress or the group honeymoon. The Orlando Bloom and Ellen sidebar stories are hilarious. Orlando Bloom is a super pretty man. I’m sure Howard 100% has heard of Orlando Bloom simply due to the fact he keeps up with the VS models. He either didn’t recognize him or decided to play dumb for laughs. A handsome guy at a Hollywood party, of course he’s an actor. All the servers were probably all actors too moonlighting.

  13. Catelina says:

I just want the dress to be honest. I love wedding dresses. As for this, it sounds like he’s more friends with Justin than Jennifer. Which I guess makes sense because didn’t he used to trash her or am I thinking of someone else. I would die to go to a celebrity wedding, or any event with lots of them around. Just seeing how all these famous people interact with eachother off camera would be fascinating.

  14. Reeely?? says:

I think HS is mean spirited. Weeping over the poaching of a beautiful animal isn’t fodder for humor. I guess people find him “hilarious” but imagine having a wedding guest who made fun of your party &guests?

    • FingerBinger says:

Did you listen to the show? Listening to Stern and just reading quotes isn’t the same thing.

      • Sayrah says:

No chance she listens. The part about Howard and Ellen yelling about pets is hilarious. Howard used to criticize Ellen for adopting pets and pawning them off on people who worked for her because they were too rambunctious for her family.

    • funcakes says:

Howard’s trophy wife is a big animal advocate. This is the only reason he’s into animals now. He has her come on to promote all het animal event/ causes.
Howard was the one that use to berate and embarrass his staff about their wives using them. He would viciously accuse the wives of being self serving. He would even facilitate the arguments between the spouses on the air. One of the co worker.almost divorced his wife.
Now it’s many years later and they’re still married to the same spouse and Hollywood Howie is on wife number two who wanted nothing to do with his stardom but managed to build a career off of it.
Bit Howie loves to tell everyone that she had a career before she met him.
Of course his group of sycophants are not willing to remind her Howard that the wife originally said that she wanted a low profile and not use his name to gain employment for herself.
Now Mrs Stern goes to Hollywood parties and premiere, even if she goes alone,so she can rub shoulders with the stars

      • MichLynn says:

So much truth right here. I like Howard but he has changed so much. I liked the old Howard better than the new Hollywood Howard. And seriously how the hell long does it take to build a cat shelter. It’s been talked about for YEARS. Is it never gonna get done just so Beth can have something to talk about?

  15. BNA FN says:

I remember when justjen got together there were some things that came out about Justin that He has several human skulls and human teeth in his NYC apartment/home. He also talked about getting most of his decorations and other things for his house by going dumpster diving. So now we know he has a taste for the creepiest tattoos. Very interesting.

Btw, Orlando is 38 yo, when Brad and Johnny were 38 yo I bet they were much more handsome than OB, IMO. HS is comparing a 38 to two 51 yo – Brad and Johnny, not fair.

    • Franca says:

Johnny (without the scarfs) was much more handsome. Brad? Not so much.

      • Misti says:

        @Franca
No one could touch Johnny in his prime IMO. Dem cheekbones!

      • Original T.C. says:

Johnny was hot but Brad Pitt was Mr. Handsome. Mr. Pretty boy of Hollywood. Common sentence “he looks good but he is no Brad Pitt!”. Even men like Clooney would make jokes about how good Brad looked and Brad worked hard to be seen as more than just pretty.

Everyone’s taste is different though but in Pop culture Brad had the handsome tag on lockdown.

      • Jegede says:

        #Franca

Johnny Depp for me as well.

Here in the UK Depp was the ultimate guy for Smash Hits and cool gen. in the 90s.

    • lisa2 says:

I doubt either of them would care. Howard would cut a bitch if he could get Brad on his show. Which is why he is always asking anyone associated by any way about him. I’m just surprised again that Jennifer could be around people that have talked about her the way Howard has. She even said her friends wondered the same. I know the connection they have is Kimmel; but still how much do you need to be liked. Kimmel is another one that use to say snarky things about her on his show.. but I guess because she got with his friend all is forgiven.. on her part at least

      • doofus says:

I actually think that “making friendly with the enemy” thing is kind of a good/smart move, on anyone’s part.

once you meet someone in person (and let’s face it, Aniston can certainly be a charming person when she wants to be) and they’re not what you’ve seen portrayed in the media, and they come off as nice and down to earth and not “a MOVIE STAR” attitude, you don’t want to be as critical of that person. you think, hey, she’s not so bad…

she effectively stopped both Stern and Kimmel from saying snarky things about her by becoming friendly with them.

      • lisa2 says:

well I guess that’s the most important thing right. and that is to my point.. she can’t not be liked and will do whatever to make it not the case. I don’t find that admirable at all.

and I don’t think any of this had anything to do with Aniston. Howard is good friends with Kimmel, Kimmel was good friends with Justin. Now Jennifer is with Justin. So no I don’t see his friends new or old talking about his girlfriend now wife.

      • doofus says:

never said it’s the “most important thing”…if you’re a celeb, and you want to be perceived a certain way, you work on creating an image. all of them do it to one extent or another. I don’t think you can extrapolate that to “will do whatever to make it not the case”. I don’t think it was deliberate on her part…I think that, as you said, they were Theroux’s friends and became hers by association, but the end result was the same.

they got to know her as a PERSON and not a PERSONALITY, and changed their view of her.

      • sisco says:

Remember how she ambushed Perez in the parking lot and asked him not to be mean to her? Pathetic.

      • doofus says:

no sisco, I didn’t, so I looked into it.

        your summation isn’t accurate.

According to Aniston and Perez Hilton, she ran into him in a parking garage, and it was just after the whole bullying issue became a national thing, with kids committing suicide over it. Perez Hilton was KNOWN for being super mean and yes, a bully, to a lot of celebs.

As Ellen D said to Aniston, when Aniston talked about it on Ellen’s show, “We should talk about Perez Hilton because Perez Hilton was a guy who was doing some nasty things to a lot of celebrities. He was on our show and was talking about how it was going to change. When the bullying thing was happening and a lot of kids were committing suicide, he realized he was a bully. He told one of our producers that basically he started thinking about it because you confronted him about it.”

Aniston asked him, “why are you so mean?” not “why are you so mean to me?” and, after a “heart to heart” (his words) he decided to change his ways and not be such a bully.

So, you misrepresented this situation to portray her as “pathetic” when what she did was actually kind of brave (because he could have gone the other way and really let her have it on his website) and it was a GOOD thing as he’s stopped being such a bully.

but thanks for bringing it up.

      • KatyD says:

@Sisco. I also remember Aniston’s rep emailing Perez to get him to stop saying mean things about her. Seems like they were pretty invested in his antics at one point?

Oddly, she’s good friends with the nasty Chelsea Handler. Go figure? Anyone who makes her look bad is a “mean bully.” Anyone who makes others look bad, that’s okay? It seems like she even encouraged Handler at one point. When I watched the show she was sitting right next to Handler, smiling, when she went off on a certain someone.

Imo, seems like classic narcissist behavior. I wouldn’t doubt that many in Hollywood have NPD and the whole place is filled with the equivalent of little children.

      • funcakes says:

Howard would have been nowhere near my wedding after this:

        http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TmSU5lo6vY0

    • lola says:

If Orly is as good-looking as Howard said, then why is he not able to get work.

  16. Bridget says:

He sounds awfully grumpy – why did he even make a wedding speech then?

    • Kiddo says:

Howard has always been a bit of an old grumpy Yenta. It was part of his charm, if you will.

      • Bridget says:

The way he describes it makes it sound as though they randomly asked him to come to their wedding and give a speech.

I also seriously question his taste in men if he thinks Orlando Bloom is spectacularly handsome.

      • Kiddo says:

Bloom is good looking but needs a style update. Plus he’s tall, which would be nice/impressive if he was leading the dance with Howard. 🙂

Howard used to ALWAYS complain about having to go anywhere while with his ex-wife. I imagine having to give a personal speech made him uncomfortable, plus, you know, the chairs.

      • Paloma says:

I could not say this better! Never wants to get out of New York, everywhere else is “horrible.” Lots of quirks. Beth must really care for him.

  17. Thea says:

Don’t like Stern and never will.

What I find strange is that a priest was pictured entering the house with a bible but Kimmel officiated them? Why have a priest there? Was that to make sure the paps will take pictures and put two and two together?

Yep Jennifer screwed over People Magazine – just like she did with Vanity Fair & Vogue.

Jennifer is notoriously known for using the media and then turn around and put the blame on them if there is any backlash. Here she just plain and simple showed the finger to People.

I find it pretty pathetic that even on a day that is supposed to be about Jennifer & Justin, jennifer and her friends just have to bring in / throw a dig at her ex husband.

    • Kate says:

Some people have a religious ceremony shortly before having the wedding proper. It looked like the priest was there quite a bit before the actual ‘party’ began.

It’s also possible he was just paying a visit to a member of his church on their big day. I don’t think Aniston’s ever really talked about religion, and I have no idea about Justin. They may simply be members of his congregation. My pastor came to see me the day before my non religious ceremony, just for a chat, and I imagine in order to be there if I had needed to talk through any doubts.

    • lola says:

This is what she does, have someone mention either her ex-husband from 11 years ago, which is so odd, considering the marriage lasted only four and a half years, and most of that time was spent apart. I’m waiting for one of guests to say it was a much better wedding than her ex’s, even though none of them attended her ex’s wedding, because it was family and really close friends, only.
And I’d take David Fincher video taping my wedding over Uncle Terry.

  18. GingerCrunch says:

Had to tune in Monday morning to get the scoop from Howard and he didn’t disappoint! He’s so grumpy about the whole shebang, which made it even funnier. Plus, glorious details you couldn’t get anywhere else!

  19. Ronda says:

Ouch it was painful to read about Orlando. I mean he only had his career because teenage girls wanted to see him topless but that “Whats your name” had to hurt really bad. Maybe he can open a group with the likes of Megan Fox and Zac Efron, “We thought our looks would carry us our whole lives”

  20. Claire says:

I want to see her wedding dress. I’m a sucker for her style since Friends days.

    • Misti says:

Comment twins! Jen Aniston and Penelope Cruz are my style crushes. (Though I admit they were better a while back). Would love to see what she wore too.

  21. lassie says:

Ewww. Terry Richardson was the photographer? Lots of boob pictures in stark lighting. The fact that he was there just takes me off the JA/JT train. Douche.

    • Thea says:

JustJen have been friends with Terry for years – he even took that official we are dating picture of them (one week after Justin threw Heidi) and published it on his page.

Justin always hangs out with Terry while in NY and there are rumours that Terry provides Justin with girls and boys for entertainment.

    • Ours says:

I am pretty sure that the picture will be posted on Terry’s blog or release just in time for Justin’s TV show promo.

  22. Tiffany says:

Well, People has shown their stupidly when it comes to Aniston. I mean, they put aside their annual Oscar issue to give her the cover to talk about…..wedding plans and years later, no wedding. She has burned them before saying that they are printing lies.

I mean, when will they learn their lesson.

    • lisa2 says:

Well People Mag has no one to blame but themselves.. She said Vogue was a “tabloid” she hasn’t been on it since. Nor any of the other major mags.. mainly because she wants control over the content and the photos. So they say NO and have no problem doing so.

      • Carmen says:

She did a cover for Harper’s Bazaar last year, a couple do months after they featured Angelina on their cover. And hilariously enough, they wore the same dress.

I think she complained that Vogue is a tabloid after she came off looking very stupid whining that “What Angelina did was very uncool”. She should never have gone there in the first place.

      • lisa2 says:

Other than HP she has not been on a mainline/prestige mag in many many years.

  23. sisco says:

Why did Justin ask Stern to write a speech?

    • Sayrah says:

Because they’re friends who vacation together and Howard is an excellent writer and orator.

      • lisa2 says:

that is true.. but then Howard seemed surprised he was asked as well.

      • Thea says:

@Lisa: just read this and it says Matt Leblanc and Matthew Perry weren’t invited.

Matt LeBlanc probably weren’t invited because there seems to be some truth to him having an affair with Jennifer while she was married to Brad.

But Matthew Perry is a surprise – Jennifer always said that Matthew is one of her oldest and closest friends and yet she didn’t invite him to her wedding?

PS: as someone mentioned above – People magazine were made a fool by Jennifer and they will retaliate. Well it has started and I am expecting more and more truth being exposed by the magazine in the coming months.

        http://www.people.com/article/jennifer-aniston-justin-theroux-wedding-matthew-perry-matt-leblanc

      • tracking says:

If Kimmel was asked to speak too, then maybe they decided to focus on mutual friends, eg friends who’ve spent time with them as a couple, for the speeches? As for Matthew P and Matt LeB, they were close while working together over a decade ago, and seems like the ladies mainly stayed in touch since then. Since it was a small wedding, logical they weren’t asked and the girls were.

      • Thea says:

Jennifer and Matthew have been friends for more than 2 decades according to Jennifer herself.

They even did that little joke on Ellen a few years ago talking about how close they are and still good friends.

So no – they were not just co workers.

      • Kate says:

I think Matt has said he’s never met Justin, and I suspect Matthew doesn’t know him very well either, if at all. Given they were trying to make most of the guests believe it was just a party for Justin, it makes sense that they only really invited people who are friends with Justin as well as Jennifer. It kept numbers down (they were clearly going for a small, intimate vibe rather than a huge event) and reduced the chances of people talking. I bet if either Matt had gotten an invite to Justin’s birthday party they would have immediately guessed it was a wedding, because why else would they be invited to a virtual strangers birthday when they haven’t been other years? They tell a few friends or their assistant, those people tell a few people, eventually someone talks to the press.

In any case Matt was filming and Matthew was on vacation in Waikiki when the wedding went down, so they weren’t around anyway.

  24. Penelope says:

It’s actually not strange at all or a “burn”/detriment to Orlando Bloom’s career that Howard stern had no idea who he was. Howard lives in a bubble and only knows a very few “name” celebrities with whom he’s either feuded or interacted in some way. He’s hardly knowledgeable about careers or movies in general, for that matter.

  25. bp says:

Howard Stern is so VILE. Seriously I’ve always thought he was disgusting- inside and out.
Why would anyone ever want him at their wedding? ??

  26. LAK says:

    Howard makes me laugh.

  27. Rona says:

I would rather be called a famewhore for selling my wedding pictures than have Pervy Terry take them.

    • lola says:

If you “sell” your pictures, by having People write the check to charity, I say more should do it. Most keep the money, only one couple I know consistently has People write the check directly to the Jolie-Pitt Foundation.
Jennifer Lopez took the money People paid her for her twins pictures and kept it, saying she was going to put the money in their “college fund”. Poor Lopez, too broke to send her kids to college on her own.

  28. Vampi says:

People Mag gonna go HARD now….LOL.

  29. Paloma says:

I’ve got to say it: Hope Brad didn’t know about the wedding and hope he was somewhat surprised. I had a big crush on him at one point, but think he’s kind of odd these days.

  30. neer says:

    Speaking of weddings…

I was fortunate to have owned the copies of People & Hello magazines which featured AJBP France wedding last year (Aug. 2014) but I must say they still maintained their privacy & the real value/ significance of the ceremony. It’s good they didn’t really share much to the public. It’s just enough information for what was stated in those magazines. Only tidbits. The pictures inside were very limited as well. They didn’t make the most important event of their family be a ridiculous event or make it as if it’s a showbiz/ superficial occasion. That is how it should be done….. that despite their being the most popular & prominent couple not just in Hollywood but in the whole world, they were able to behave real adults & leave the most important moments of their wedding to themselves. Their wedding guests also respected their privacy by not divulging what happened during the wedding. Even up to this day, the public really don’t know much information about their wedding and I am glad they leave it that way.

    • lola says:

I agree, the pictures from the wedding in France, were very controlled. Just enough to show what a beautiful wedding it must have been, but, not enough to invade their privacy. Mr. and Mrs. Pitt always keep it classy.

  31. Green Is Good says:

Off to YouTube to listen to Howard ‘s show!

    Unapologetic Stern fan!

  32. Dinah says:

Howard had me at the chairs. He’s a media God.
