Sofia Vergara plugged her perfume like a pro at last night’s Emmy awards. That’s about all I took away from her interview with Ryan Seacrest. Oh and she’s also getting married to Joe Manganiello in November, which we’ve known for some time. Otherwise Sofia looked just about the same as she does at every awards ceremony, which is to say incredible albeit predictable. She loves strapless fitted gowns and she wears her hair down. Here she is in metallic St. John.
Also in a mermaid gown but looking much sharper we have Ariel Winter in red Romona Keveza. Ariel switches it up often so she can pull off this look without reminding us of every other red carpet she’s walked. Also, it feels creepy to admit I know this, but Ariel, 17, recently had a breast reduction. I would imagine she’s much more comfortable wearing fashion. This glamorous look is perfect for the Emmys, which is probably why Vergara repeats it so often. Ariel was there with her boyfriend, Laurent Claude Gaudette. They are adorable together.
Here’s fellow Modern Family star Julie Bowen in black full length Georges Chakra. This dress is a bit plain, with the exception of the additional shoulder strap, and there’s something off about her styling. The gown needs more color or details.
Sarah Hyland hit just the right combination of sexy and classic in this eggplant off the shoulder Zac Posen. This dress hugs her perfectly and her hair and makeup are impressive.

I like all of these dresses but I will channel the Fug Girls and say that Julie needs a stronger lip.
Oh, has Julia has done something to her face? She’s looks different here. Sarah’s dress, colour and fit, are very lovely.
I’d say Botox. Marble forehead (not a good look on anyone), plus difficulties smiling (even worse).
I’m so over all the plastic surgery. (I get medical reasons, like with a breast reduction.)

I agree Sarah Hyland was by far the big winner for me last night. Her makeup, hair and dress were incredibly lovely. I just love those colours on her.
I agree about Julie. To tell the truth, when they showed her in the audience, I thought it was Kirsten Dunst. I did not recognize Julie at all.
I thought she looked like Heidi Klum.
So glad this show finally was dethroned, and by “Veep” no less. Hallelujah!
They all look lovely, my favorite is Ariel. She’s super happy about her breast reduction and it shows, she’s super comfortable and gorgeous.
I’m also glad another show won, instead of Modern Family, AGAIN.
Sarah Hyland just looks amazing and so healthy….colour and fit are amazing.
Ariel looks so comfortable in her own skin, its a delight to see.

Sofia, she knows what works for her and her body is amazing so at least she is not klilling us with a really bad dress (ahem: Heidi Klum)…so lets be thankful, even if its not memorable
Loved Ariel, and loved the dress Julie wore at the pre Emmy party. The black is a classic choice but I like it when she does something different and memorable like last year.
I agree, Sofia knows what works for her and it may be boring but she looks good here, better than in more elaborate gowns we have seen her in. I stopped watching MF this year and don’t miss it at all, I was so over it and art of the reason is Sofia’s shtick. It was cute to begin with but by now it’s just tired.

Sofia wears the same mermaid dress in a different color at every event. Elaine Benes deserves everything and more. She is prettier now than she was in the Seinfeld era. Love her
The. Exact. Same. Dress. So boring.
I know! I understand that as we get older we start to define our style but it almost seems like with the dress/hair combo she is obsessed with making sure she has the “sexy” look that men like but all it seems to reinforce is her lack of acting ability. I mean, she pretty much plays the same character in whatever she is in.
That plum shade is gorgeous. Sophia always goes slinky..I think this one looks pretty good.
Sarah Hyland looks amazing, though I wish someone had told her to smooth her gown in the front after the car ride to the Emmy’s.
I don’t think the other dresses are plain at all, they just take a back stage to the beauty of the women they showcase, as is proper IMO.
Bombshell types/sex symbols are rarely known for being fashion-forward or for having a particularly unique or adventurous sense of style (e.g. Sofia here, Angelina, if we’re going old school – Sophia Loren, Ava Gardner, Liz Taylor, etc.)
Which is not the same as saying they don’t look fabulous & glamorous on the red carpet, just that they don’t tend to be fashion icons or be known for their clothes.
They all look good. Julie sometimes chooses odd things, so this simple dress is a nice change. I think I’d like Sarah’s better without the shoulder straps, but overall, they did very well.
Sofia has such boring taste for a beautiful woman who should be able to wear different hair styles, make-up palettes and clothing. Salma Hayek has a very similar figure (hourclass with large breasts) but she doesn’t wear the same boring mermaid dress or the same lipstick OR the same hair. She needs to hire Salma’s stylist.
I think Sofia’s outfit is super sexy, but she keeps on doing the EXACT same look. At least do something different hair- or makeup-wise.
Sofia’s obsession with only one dress’s style is starting to worry me. Seriously, I didn’t even have to see the picture to know how it looked like, and the dress is exactly how I pictured in my mind, lol.
Gosh – I think that they all look fantastic. Ariel and Sarah both look particularly brilliant – the choice of dress for each of them is spot on. The seamwork on the Zac Posen is exceptional.
Yeah, Sofia looks great but it’s always the same look, hair down, fitted dresses. I’d love to see with her with her hair in a messy bun and a different type of dress.
Sarah Hyland is my pick for best look of the evening. That dress was everything. Sofia should let Sarah (or whoever picks out Sarah’s clothes) pick out her dress next time.
I get it that Sofia seems to think this is the look that works best for her, but it’s literally the same exact dress and hair every. single. time. She needs to take some chances. I think we all know that her wedding dress will basically be this dress in white. She’s boring.
Sofia looks amazing. She looks hot, with all that hair down, but amazing. Ariel looks better than I have ever seen her; I like her fashion best when she doesn’t show cleavage, which oversexualizes her. Her figure outline is great, and this dress highlights that. Sarah Hyland looks great, although I would have preferred the dress in any color other than black which is too harsh for her coloring. Sarah Hyland just looks droopy…her eyes are droopy and the dress’s sleeve detail is even droopier. Bleh.
Y a w n ! Sophia, Sophia, Sophia. How tiring it must be to always have to be the sexiest one in every room. Sometimes, I get a glimpse on ol’ Joe’s face that HE just may be tiring of it as well.
I know that I am in the minority here, but I cannot stand Vergara. Her white picket fence chicklet teeth have always bugged me, but it looks like she has done something to her face now, as well. She looks like a muppet, never got her appeal, in the least.
To end on an up note, Sarah Hyland looks beautiful.

Everyone looks great (especially Sarah), but Sophia looks amazing and knows how to flatter her fantastic figure. Boring dress or not, she looks hot!
I feel bad, because I enjoy Julie, but I thought “Joan Rivers?!?” when I first saw her.
