Is Sandra Bullock about to drop $10 mil on a bar for her new boyfriend?

The Enquirer [via Radar] has a pretty good scoop on a story that, if true, does not sound wise of Sandra Bullock at all. While I might be inclined to dismiss this out of hand, the Enquirer has quotes from named sources who own a bar in Jackson Hole, Wyoming called The Million Dollar Cowboy Bar. It’s possible these people are using Sandra Bullock’s name to get publicity for their bar, but they claim that they’re in talks with Bullock to sell it – for $10 million dollars. They also say that she’s a regular there. Bullock owns a home in Jackson Hole, where her 91 year-old father lives. According to “sources” quoted by The Enquirer, Bullock plans to move her new boyfriend to Wyoming to live with her and run the bar.

Sandra Bullock is moving full speed ahead with her troubled new boyfriend Bryan Randall — and that means a move to Wyoming together and an expensive new business venture!

The curious new duo’s shocking plans include moving into Sandra’s $1.5 million Jackson Hole hideaway full time with her 91-year-old ailing dad, John, insiders exclusively told The National ENQUIRER.

“John’s at the age where it’s becoming more difficult for him to be alone,” according to a source close to the Oscar-winning actress.

“Sandra realizes he needs to be properly looked after, and moving everybody into her retreat is the perfect solution for everybody!”

Bullock, 51, thinks another perfect solution would be to buy her favorite local Jackson bar, The Million Dollar Cowboy, so she and 49-year-old Randall have something to do together. The price tag? A whopping $10 million!

“Sandy’s really excited about sharing this dream of opening a business with Bryan,” said the source. “Now it’s becoming a reality, and the bonus of being able to take care of her dad is priceless to her.”

Bar owners Art and Carol Anderson told The ENQUIRER they’ve been in sales talks with Sandra and that she’s one of their favorite regulars.

But as much as they love her, they promise to make a hard bargain for the place.

“It’ll take a lot of money to take it off our hands,” Art said.

Precisely $10 million, according to sources close to the deal.

[From Radar Online]

If I learned anything from Shark Tank, it’s that this bar is in no way worth $10 million. (Unless the people who own it are awesome salespeople who can impress investors with their go-get-it attitude.) There’s a “virtual tour” on this bar’s website and it looks rustic and like an experience, with lots of polished wood and actual saddles for barstools. It also has a long history and an interesting backstory. Still, I doubt it makes around $5 million a year, which would be enough to justify the $10 million price. It’s just as likely that the owners are using Bullock’s name to drum up interest in their business. Otherwise if they’re really about to close this deal with Bullock, they just jeopardized it by talking to the press.

Assuming this is true, it’s a dumb idea of Bullock to move this guy to Wyoming with her and try to run a business with him. He has his own photography company. It’s a lot of pressure on a new relationship to try to run a business together. (Although Sandra may already have experience as she recently closed a restaurant that she owned in Austin.) Good for Sandra for taking care of her elderly dad, but does she really need to move her new boyfriend in with her?

Oh and Radar has another story claiming that Bryan isn’t the only guy Sandra is seeing and that she’s dating other guys. If that’s true, good for her. She shouldn’t get caught up with this one guy and should play the field. This story from The Enquirer contradicts that though, as do all the other stories planted in the press emphasizing how awesome and hot this new guy is.

This sounds likes LIIIIIIIIIIES *Cathy Bates in AHS Coven voice*.
As for her dating she should do whatever feels right for her. If she wants to settle down with one guy go ahead, If she wants to play the field go ahead.
There is no one size fits all rule for someone’s personal life.

    • PrincessMe says:

Agree with you on both counts. If she’s buying the bar, I doubt it’s “for the boyfriend”. And she can date however she wants – some people don’t want to “play the field”, and that’s fine.

    • Annie says:

I just hope she is not being used. She also helped her ex-husband a lot and look what happened. Yes, do what you want, but don’t let these men use your name and money for stuff. I hope it’s not true.

  2. Sarah01 says:

I like her on screen, her private life doesn’t seem to correlate with her a public persona. I would never mix business with pleasure always ends badly.

  3. Christin says:

I think either this guy is a distraction (because she’s more interested in someone else), or she is ignorant.

  4. boredblond says:

Neither the bar or the boyfriend sound like good deals..

  5. halina says:

$10 mil for a bar in Wyoming? What a coincidence, I have two grocery stands in Eastern Poland to sell, about $5 million each. We could make a deal.

    • ninal says:

yeah, that’s what sounds ridiculous. If her most-likely palatial home is only 1.5, how is the neighboring bar worth so much more? why buy a bar for a recovering addict dude so that you have something to do with them? Louis is in school now, she’s gonna uproot him to live in Wyoming?

This story sounds completely made up. Maybe she’s buying a neighboring bar due to her ties there, but I think people are just adding details that have no basis in reality.

  6. Jayna says:

Her boyfriend is a recovering addict. Why would he run a bar? His profession is being a photographer, which he seems to love. So, again, why would he run a bar far, far away? I call another bull story by the Enquirer. IF she helped him in anything it would be promoting his photography business to people.

    • laura in LA says:

Yep, exactly what I was thinking about the boyfriend, and as for her father, why wouldn’t she have him move here to LA, instead of uprooting Louis, her life and career?

Especially since Jesse James suddenly resurfaced this week to complain about Sandy and remind us all what a scary guy he is, I really hope she’s dating other men as well.

      • qwerty says:

“as for her father, why wouldn’t she have him move here to LA, instead of uprooting Louis, her life and career?”

The last thing a 90-something need is uprooting HIS entire life. It might not seem like much to you but I’m sure it would could very stressful for him even if it’s just losing touch with his one neighbour whom he chats to every morning.

    • Kosmos says:

Geez, I really want the best for Sandra, but this guy for some reason doesn’t seem like the answer for her…..I’m worried this won’t end well. I don’t like the fact that she’s paying for him at all, and he’s so much younger, and right, I don’t see this ending well. However, she’s a mature woman and knows what she wants. I just worry that she’s attracted to somewhat bad boys, you know?

  7. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Please tell me she’s not that dumb.

  8. Boston Green Eyes says:

    Fools, money, etc.

  9. capepopsie says:

    Oh no. . . .

  10. meme says:

    she looks embalmed.

  11. saras says:

Get some self esteem and self worth Sandy!

  12. kibbles says:

Well, she has the money to make foolish decisions and bounce back from them. If she wants to move to Wyoming and buy a local restaurant for $10 million, that is her prerogative as long as she is happy to be there with her father. I question how often she would actually be there because if she still plans on making movies, she will likely have to fly to LA on a regular basis. Just checked the flight time and it is under 4 hours. It’s doable for both she and her boyfriend to fly to LA on the weekend or vice versa.

What I don’t agree with is being business partners with her new boyfriend. Why does she feel the need to do that unless she believes her boyfriend has great business acumen that would really help her earn millions each year on this business venture? Otherwise, she should run this business on her own with the help of advisers or find another business partner who has experience running a restaurant.

  13. Wentworth Miller says:

Bryan’s hot. That’s all I came to say. Truth be told, I didn’t even read the article.

  14. alice says:

oh dear, just don’t. You’re putting an expiration date to this relationship, which will be ok because this guy gives me awful vibes, but you’ll be losing money and gaining a broken heart.

  15. JenniferJustice says:

Can’t comment on her possibly buying a bar b/c who knows what’s true or not? What is true is that her recent styling is not flattering. She is a pretty woman, but the tan, the dark lips, the bangs, layering, and bleached ends are waaaaaay too much – makes her look harsh. Ease up on the orange tan, get a blunt cut (cut those bleached ends off), and try subtler, more natural-looking makeup. What is her stylist getting paid for?

  16. Sumodo1 says:

Sandy is starting to look like Stockard Channing.

  17. Juniper says:

I’m sure there’s a lot of inference here. Why would someone in recovery who has a good career going as a photographer and model want a bar? It’s just stupid. Sandy has always invested in a lot of different businesses (ie an avocado farm). My guess is she’s a pretty savvy businesswoman. I seriously doubt that if she is buying a bar, a) it’s probably a restaurant, which is always a good investment for celebrities and b) it’s certainly not “for” him. Time will tell.

    • Shiba says:

I agree. In fact, take a step back and it makes a lot of sense.

Her father is older, ailing and needs someone to manage his household on premises, not from afar (like LA); make sure aides are there 24-7, emergencies, etc.
Maybe Bryan is ready for a steadier income stream, and the The MDCB is an opportunity for him & Sandy certainly won’t lose $ on it. I doubt she found him out of the blue- he must have some great references vouching for him.
Maybe Sandy has a personal life that she wants to keep personal, i.e. out of the public eye, and if this guy is her business partner/friend IRL, he will do his best to behave spotlessly, because he has a vested (monetary) interest.

  18. Jag says:

    Her hair looks awful.

She will cement her stupidity in my opinion if she moves the photographer and buys a bar.

  19. byland says:

I am ashamed to admit this, but I read that as “new bra.” Yeah. Pregnancy brain has offically caught up with me.

  20. SusanneToo says:

I hope the bar/boyfriend part is false, but if she wants to be with her father I say go for it. I will always regret that I wasn’t able to drop everything and live with my father during the last year of his life, but I was caring for a husband in the late stages of early onset Alzheimers and couldn’t. Fortunately, two of my sisters lived nearby, but as the oldest I still felt responsible.

  21. Irma says:

Jackson hole Wyoming is extremely affluent, similar to aspen Colorado. So her living there isn’t that strange. Still think this dude is PR relationship. Sandra is so private, why would she suddenly sanction release of these stories? They seem very “publicist released” type of stories.

  22. sauvage says:

    STOP WITH THE FILLERS, SANDY!
