Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson are officially over, with Lindsay announcing that they’re “taking a brief break so I can focus on myself,” and outlets reporting that Samantha’s family staged an intervention to help her break off the dysfunctional relationship for good. Ronson was seen changing the locks on her home this weekend after Lohan was banned from a party held for Sam’s designer twin sister, Charlotte, where Sam was DJing.
Both US Weekly and OK! Magazine are reporting that Ronson’s family went to the Beverly Hills Police Department to find out how they could get a restraining order against Lohan. Ronson’s mom Ann and her sister Charlotte were seen at the station on Monday evening. OK! Magazine has some juicy details said to be from an insider about why they’re seeking a restraining order. It hasn’t been issued yet and they’ll have to go to the court to officially request one. Lindsay supposedly pulled some scary stalker-ish actions over the weekend, including following Sam’s brother, Mark, and booking a hotel room right underneath the family at the Chateau Marmot and making fake complaints to staff about them.
Around 5 p.m. PST on Monday, Sam’s mother, Ann Dexter-Jones, and sister, fashion designer Charlotte Ronson, were at the Beverly Hills Police Department to look into filing a restraining order because Sam wants to “send a message” to Lindsay.
Charlotte and Ann talked to a clerk at the front desk, who advised them, “The restraining order is the best option. If she violates it, then she gets taken away.”
The Ronsons spoke openly to the officer about their situation. “She does these things to get attention,” said Charlotte of Lohan’s recent actions. “She was trying to get into my party this weekend. We had to tell security to keep her out. Then she booked a room at the Chateau Marmont. Her room was right below… She also followed our brother Mark around.”
“[Lindsay] was doing drugs,” added Ann. “And we could not sleep that night at the Chateau. She was complaining about the music and noise coming from upstairs. She was trying to get attention, so that Sam could come down.”
“She cuts herself too,” Ann continued. “She is a cutter!”
“She got up illegally to our room,” Charlotte told the policeman. “She does these acts of public humiliation. It is all for attention… She was also got physical with Mark.”
Charlotte continued to speak to the policeman on duty while Ann took a phone call and explained the situation to the person on the other line.
”[Lindsay] is furious because we did an intervention,” she said. “Not about the drugs, but because of this situation… It is what it is.”
“[Lindsay] is publicly humiliating [Sam],” explained Charlotte. “She is trying to send out a message.”
The Beverly Hills station can’t issue restraining orders because there are no judges in the building. So the officer instructed the Ronsons to file a petition for a restraining order at the courthouse in Santa Monica.

It can be amusing to watch Lohan’s downward spiral, but this seems like it’s enough for her and I really hope she gets her crap together before it’s too late. Even though their relationship was incredibly troubled to say the least, Sam really seemed like she was holding Lohan together. The girl is spending money like crazy and losing cash and sanity rapidly. She needs some help if she’s going to avoid both bankruptcy and personal ruin. It seemed like Lindsay was doing well with Sam and that she sabotaged their relationship with bad behavior and constant fighting, but it’s hard to tell what goes on behind closed doors. Someone needs to help this girl, but she’s pretty much decided how the course her life will go and until she stops using drugs and decides to change no one will be able to turn it around for her.
If only Lindsay had a worthwhile family to stage an intervention for her, then both of these girls could get help. What a sad situation.

Sadly, it won’t be anyone like Jamie Spears to this girls’ rescue. Before the end of the day, there will be a statement from Dina Lohan ‘lashing out’ at these false reports. That woman is clinically insane. Such a shame… Lindsay had some serious potential when she was younger – her parents helped to ruin her.

I hope nobody “rescues” Lindsay the way JS “rescued” BS. Poor BS will never learn to take care of herself until the “conservatorship” is called off. LL needs to take responsibility for her actions, NOT to be shielded from responsibilities by a court-appointed somebody! She needs to learn to be functional, and to do so through trials and errors, the way regular people do. I root for LL, the way I root for BS. They need no “dear family” involved, they need to learn to be independent.

Somebody better do something – and fast. This is a tragedy in the making. When I look at Lindsay’s “entitled” behaviour, and her arrogance, and her stupidity, I can’t feel sorry for her but now she’s pitiful. Are her two childish, incompetent parents going to accept responsibility for this? It’s a damn shame.

Susan-chill out. Blohan throws her life out there for everyone to document on because if she’s not a disaster in these gossip sites, she’s washed up. She messed herself up good and continues to whore herself to the public eye. If she wants to spiral down in private than scrub that tint off, replace her trademark leggings with pants, and move to Minnesota. How many times has she had self destructing episodes for every paparazzi to witness and photo? Then she gets sober for a day, whines that she wants privacy, then repeat cycle. How much do you want to bet when Michael Lohan issues his statement he will not forget to add something about how Lindsay is not earning the money she used to and she’s not working right now. He always feels the need to include those little facts in his backhanded sermons. As bad as he is, Dina Lohan is worse. This is why Lindsay is such trash, she comes from trash parents.
I think “watching” (the nicest way of saying “voyeurism through attack-paparazzi and reading false tabloid reports”) Lindsay Lohan’s downward spiral has been anything but amusing. She’s a sad, sick girl who on some level knows that she’s screwed up and lost anything and everything that gave her the life she wanted. She’s deluded, stupid, and mentally-ill… I don’t find it amusing at all, and I’m sure I won’t when we’ve heard she’s overdosed, or gone into making adult films. I think finding any sort of amusement or pleasure in watching her screw up over and over is very sad, by anyone, not just CB in this instance.

When a mother is dysfunctional..the children always suffer later in life. Hopefully a strong mentor will step in and provide stability. Her family is a mess.
Eileen: I totally agree with everything you said. Lindsay is as addicted to media attention as she is to whatever boatload of narcotics she consumes on an hourly basis.
While I agree she needs help, she brought this on herself by acting like a spoiled little jackass, and it’s time for her to grow the hell up. Plenty of people were raised by lousy parents and still manage to lead productive lives. And she’s had more opportunities than most could ever dream of, and still she’s a damn wreck.

It never ceases to amaze me how much these spoiled, rich, celebrities get away with that would land the rest of us in jail. Not to mention the business like the bars/clubs that let these underaged folks in, and allow drugs to be bought and sold on their premises. If that happened at a bar or hotel in the ‘real’ world those business would be shut down and the owners either fined or tossed in the klink.

Drug addiction is not glamorous. They are sick individuals.

First of all I was not aware that is where John Belushi died, I was only a child when he died so that is before my time, so your ‘Duh’ was uncalled for. Secondly, I have only recently even heard of that place, but it certainly doesn’t sound like a ‘clean’ family friendly establishment that a recovering addict should patronize. Not sure how that is ‘cold hearted’, but what ever makes you feel better. As for the rest of my comment it was basically factual these hollywood establishments and the celebs who frequent them seem to be above the law. Honestly, can you imagine some hotel in Kansas City that was known as some sort of drug haven not being raided by the DEA? Or a bar in Minneapolis that allowed underage people in and were photographed doing so on a regular basis, not being fined and shut down by the ATF or local police?
Yeah, there’s a place here in Atl where everybody buys heroin. Been that way for YEARS. The war on drugs is a JOKE.

I guess we will have to agree to disagree on certain points, personally I think that the wealthy celebs and establishments they frequent tend to get a pass on certain behavior when a regular person or business would not. Our legal system tends to favor the rich, sad but true. I also feel that a recovering addict, like Ms Lohan, probably should avoid places like Chateau Marmont, it certainly doesn’t promote a healthy lifestyle. I feel that addicts need a strong supportive environment that is drug/alcohol free to facilitate their continuing recovery. If that makes me naive in your estimation, well that is your opinion. Oh, and if you wouldn’t mind, please don’t call me ‘sweetie’ etc. it is condescending and uncalled for. Unless of course that is what you were going for, in which case… by all means, have at it.

The judicial system caters to people who have MONEY. Period. End of story. Doesn’t matter if you’re a celeb or not (although they do get off alot because of their notoriety/cash).

She has obviously been enabled by those closest to her, probably for most of her life. But the choice to live a sober life is hers & hers alone. She has been in rehab three times now & she knows what is at stake.
I have a soft spot for addicts too, but it really is black & white for them. Sober or not, there is no in between. And LL clearly has no desire to live a sober life.
I’m more than SURE that John B and Jim M had “no desire to live sober” either when they DIED.

Hotels where you can get all the dope your heart desires don’t get shut down. They get raided from time to time but many times, someone who lives there or is employed there gets word that its going to happen so that place becomes the cleanest one in town.
