This why Donald Trump will never be POUTUS. He has no tact, his speech is atrocious and he is just so arrogant and insensitive. He is just ignorant.

    • vavavoom says:

But he’s leading in the polls .. aren’t you all a little concerned? (I’m Canadian, btw)

      • Tiffany :) says:

Not anymore. Ben Carson has taken the lead, though he also has many questionable views.

      • Janetdr says:

Concerned, yes! I assumed he was running for a lark, but now…? I’d say no one takes him seriously but my brother has TRUMP spray painted on the back of his truck… Ugh. All I can think of anymore is the Idiocracy movie.

      • Kiki says:

Ben Carson nor Donald Trump are not going to be president. These ridiculous idiots thinks they are righteous and great. This is why the Democrats are going to be back in power. My hope is Bernie Sanders for Prez but we’ll see.

      • isabelle says:

The Republican party has become so much of a clown car that nothing is surprising anymore. We’re sort of sadly becoming used to it.

      • K2 says:

Ben Carson “needs to think more” and “isn’t clear on his position” on situations where an abortion is needed to save a woman’s life.

My eldest wouldn’t have a mother at all if that were against the law in this country (in some other countries, women with ectopic pregnancies do indeed just die). Maybe I’m biased, but I am not sure he is any saner than Trump. Apparently, it’s wrong for any woman to end a nascent potential life wholly dependant upon her immense personal risk, sacrifice and suffering for reasons of her own, but an inevitably-doomed fetus can end a woman’s life and intervening in that certain, yet avoidable, death is a tortured moral dilemma.

At least he’s open about his belief that a fetus matters massively, and the woman not at all.

    • BooBooLaRue says:

Troll he is a troll troll troll troll. And an idiot.

    • Shaunna says:

Trump is a smart businessman who has accomplished more than all the other candidates combined. I think he will be able to get much more done than career politicians. Trump is outspoken. That is part of his brand.

      • Sparkly says:

Outspoken means nothing if everything spoken is dangerous &/or willfully ignorant. Are any of the people praising him for ‘speaking his mind’ actually listening to what he’s saying??

  2. Alana says:

What a moron. Why don’t you wear one for a few days so you can spare us from seeing your orange face and that hideous haircut too. Damn your ignorant , sexist ass

    • skippy says:

Alana, you took the words right out of my mouth. I am moving to Canada if this punk wins next year.

      • Eden75 says:

To get over the wall, we will require proof that you did not vote for him before entry will be permitted. 😉

    • Maria A. says:

Amen to that. Him hiding his loathesome face and personality behind a burka would be so very nice.

  3. antipodean says:

The most scary part of Donald saying words is that he could possibly be speaking on behalf of the USA in the future. I cannot seriously believe that the voting public could ever be taken in by this disingenuous windbag. It gives me the creeps to think that stranger things have happened. W, anybody?

  4. Lindy79 says:

He makes Palin look almost competent…..

  5. Shambles says:

There has got to be someone paying him to spout this crap for shock value. I mean it’s like he’s ticking down a list.
Says offensive words about Hispanic people. Check.
Says (lots of) offensive words about women. Check.
Says offensive words about Islam. Check.

He’s got to be some kind of side show that the powers that be have hired to distract the American people, that’s just the only logical explanation I can find for this sick joke. I’ll see myself back to my conspiracist hippie hidey-hole.

  6. aims says:

    Trump is an assh*le.

  7. L says:

Saw someone with a Vote for Trump bumper sticker… All I could think was “omg who did that to your car!?” Then the realization set in that they might be serious and they put it there themselves. 😬😱 .

    • Ol cranky says:

I know a guy who seriously has a Carson 2016 bumper sticker – I expected him to be pro Bush or even support Trump but Carson threw me for a loop

  8. word says:

I grew up with and still know a lot of Muslims. What he doesn’t know is a lot of women do wear make-up underneath their burka. Many Muslim women have the most perfectly done eyebrows and eyeliner I have ever seen. As soon as they get home, they take the burka off. Women wear make-up for themselves, not to attract men. Is that too hard for him to believe? Also, many Muslim women choose to wear a burka. People need to stop assuming ALL Muslim women are forced into wearing one…that is not always the case.

    • Junior says:

I agree with you, Word. I have Muslim girlfriends who prefer hijab and wearing loose-fitting clothing because it’s less of a hassle than traditional Western clothing and they don’t get guys staring at them all the time. I think it’s completely cool that they wear that they’re comfortable with – as long as no one is forcing me to wear the same thing.

    • PennyLane says:

Half of my family is Muslim (the liberal kind) and I have lived in a Muslim country as well.

Trust me when I say that although you have no judgement for women who wear the veil, they are indeed judging you.

      • antipodean says:

That is interesting PennyLane, when you say that the women who wear the veil are judging we who do not. How so? I must confess that it makes my blood boil when women are forced by their so called tradition to cover themselves up as if their very presence is a threat to the poor wee men who cannot control themselves if a bit of hair, or God forbid, ankle or leg is visible. When was it ever a woman’s job to be concerned about a man’s thoughts. In my view it is representative of stone age thinking, and one can only hope that the world will eventually evolve to a place where any one can wear anything that they please, with out censure or punishment from those who through no virtue of their own, must apparently be obeyed. Tosh, I say.

      • sensible says:

Pennylane, I have indeed always gotten that vibe from hijab wearing women, I think there needs to be more dialogue around the fact that not every blonde blue eyed western woman is a ‘whore’. I am very conservative clothing wise due to boobs being on the big side since being a teenager and I don’t want to flash my cleavage around. I am a faithful wife and mum, but none of that matters because religion has nothing to do with my moral beliefs. Just as we generally believe Muslim women are put upon, they generally believe we are all ,” morally loose’. More talk less judgement I say.

      • Cran says:

@ana thank you for explaining that there is a difference between hijab and niqab/burka. I didn’t understand. If I hear you the niqab/burka is far more restrictive. I live in Harlem and see both worn in my neighborhood. The women wearing niqab/burka I always see in groups or getting into the back seat of an always male driver. I only see the young boys playing on the street. The girls I only recall seeing with the women. I do believe that given the education and choice there are many women who would not choose to wear niqab/burka.

    • Cran says:

Thank you. The assumption that wearing hijab equates female oppression has never made sense to me. It is part of a culture very different from my own. I can see where hijab is used as an instrument of oppression but I find it stereotypical, short sighted and somewhat xenophobic to state flat out hijab is bad and evil. I am American and women are oppressed here because of their gender not their clothing.

And yes many hijab wearing women are rocking some seriously gorgeous outfits and make up underneath.

      • Ana says:

But the thing is that there’s a huge difference between a hijab and niqab/burka. The latter both are the symbols of oppression of women while the former is a religious symbol.

Nowhere in the Koran does it say that women are supposed to cover their faces and the whole trend comes from the most extreme branches of islamism such as ISIS, Saudi Arabia etc. I doubt that you’d find a women voluntarily (having no proper choice is a whole other deal) wearing one of those who actually believes in equal rights for men and women, most of them have been strongly brainwashed.
And if you truly believe that other people seeing woman’s face is violating them (which is kinda insulting to the rest of us) and all the other nonsense that comes with that (whores tempting men etc), than yeah, of course you judge other women who don’t wear niqabs/burkas.

As for hijab, there is a difference. I personally would never wear one given a free choice but it’s really non of my business if other women actually choose to.

  9. Lilacflowers says:

Donald, Donald, Donald. There is no NEED to wear makeup. Ever. It is something we do for fun, not necessity. Now, how about we all start applying the standards you impose on women on you?

  10. T.Fanty says:

I don’t have a burqa on, nor am I wearing make-up. Donald Douche would not be amused. Clearly, I FAIL as a woman.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

That’s not a legitimate choice! Wear burqa=woman. Wear makeup=woman. Wear neither breaks machine.

  11. INeedANap says:

You know Donald, there are women who don’t want to wear the burqa. But if they don’t wear it, they get stoned.

That there are people who agree with him makes me think the zombie apocalypse is currently happening.

  12. Viv says:

In some Muslim countries women wear them because it’s dangerous not to. A minority may choose initially for their own reasons but it soon becomes mandatory for all females if not by law, by the threat of sexual violence if they don’t. Any woman not fully covered is seen as asking for it and will be subject to intimidation, harassment and sexual violence.

That’s nothing to laugh at and it’s an attitude that needs to be fought here in Europe where many parts are having huge problems with ultra religious newcomers who think we need to adapt to them and are very aggressive towards females. It’s a cultural attitude that endangers every female unfortunate enough to be around men who are raised with that mentality.

The subjegation of women shouldn’t be accepted anywhere but at the very least we need to take it seriously enough not to be importing extreme misogyny (and homophobia) into countries where we have already come so far in terms of women’s (and gay) rights.

    • PennyLane says:

Thank you! Religious fundamentalists everywhere need to be fought against – simply living their own lives how they see fit will never be good enough for these people; they want to force you to live your life their way, too.

    • Cran says:

The subjugation of women is not acceptable. Moving to a country whose culture and values may or may not match your own means compromise and assimilation from both sides. Ways of existing that worked in your home country don’t work in your new home for a variety of reasons. The reasons for displacement are myriad, positive and negative. The only constant is change. Food, clothing, legal systems, language, transportation, everything. As humans we adapt.

I believe the word I’m seeking is society. You may not like or have chosen the one in which you reside but somehow you must find a way to exist within the one of which you are a part.

      • Viv says:

It is not my or anybody else’s responsibility to adapt and assimilate to a misogynistic invading culture. It’s is the responsibility of immigrants to assimilate or move to somewhere in tune with their values, not to threaten me and other women in their host culture because we dare leave the house alone and don’t cover the way they think appropriate.

There should be no tolerance for backwards people who want to make our societies worse. All who contribute positively should be welcomed, those who want to drag civilisation backwards should be sent to a culture appropriate to their mindset.

  13. Patricia says:

Please please please let this be the end of this buffoon.

  14. Pinetree13 says:

I am going to go against the tide with this one…I absolutely do think women are in a way, forced to wear makeup. I usually don’t leave the house without at least some concealer makeup and if I have any kind of meeting or event I do the works, hair, face, eyes, etc. sometimes it’s fun but you know what? Truthfully 80% of the time it’s a burden taking up precious morning time and feels like an annoying chore. So why do I do it? I get treated completely different when I am made up! People are nicer when you are good looking…countless studies have confirmed this, it’s also easier to get ahead at work. Women that shun makeup absolutely are treated as less than women who do their hair and makeup. It’s sexist and it sucks. But I think it’s weird how many women don’t want to admit they do it because society rewards you for doing so. It’s like a far reaching denial. If you were treated the exact same whether wearing makeup or not, trust me you wouldn’t bother 99% of the time. The truth is even if you’ve never really noticed…you are treated totally different if you stay natural. On the business world, some makeup and done hair is seen as more professional.

    • Erandyn says:

      Exactly this!

I’ve run a bit of an experiment at work, with the same results. I usually only wear mascara. Every now and again, I tried the whole shebang, including lipstick, hair, etc. Suddenly, my ideas were smarter, my jokes were funnier, I was worth people’s undivided attention no matter what trivia came out of my mouth, and any disagreement was seen as laughably trivial. People were suddenly being SO accommodating.

The whole thing just made me misanthropic. Apparently I’m a completely different person, with a different personality, skill set and level of intelligence, depending on what I put on my face. It’s a very Disney mentality: pretty = good and valuable, must have ass kissed.

    • carol says:

I agree. I wear makeup because people treat me better when I wear it. That’s it – that’s the only reason. It’s easier to look good if you’re a man – just throw on a snapy suit and run a comb through your hair. I hate to think what will happen when as a woman I have the nerve to get old. THen once I’m no longer yougn and beautiful I’ll be invisible while my male peers will be seen as wise and respectable.

  15. antipodean says:

    Touche, pussycat, touche.

  16. Kiki says:

Ooh Hollywood, if you really want to make a movie about a real a** hole, why not make a biopic or this case a parody about Donald Trump. I would be entertained.

  17. iheartgossip says:

The beauty of Donald Trump? You can cut the people supporting him, or claim they would vote for him right out of your life. Bye, Felicia. One cannot have those types of mentally disturbed people in ones life.

  18. InvaderTak says:

Diane Charlemagne died! Sad day in music world.

  19. LAK says:

    Of course he did!

  20. Holmes says:

I feel like when people in any country other than the United States picture an American, they picture someone very like this orange person with a dead animal on his head. It’s so embarrassing.
