Here’s Part II of our fashion coverage from the British Fashion Awards. I was impressed with the turnout at this year’s BFAs, although it did have the overall feel of “eh.” No one was really too horrible and no one was hands-down amazing. Well, except for Gwendoline Christie, but I’ll get to her in a moment. First, let’s talk about FKA Twigs in this Calvin Klein ensemble. I think it makes sense for Twigs to go with Calvin Klein, although most people wore British designers to the BFAs. It would have been fantastic to see her in another McQueen from the archives. Anyway, I’m okay with this. On someone else, it would have looked try-hard, but it works on Twigs.
Kate Beckinsale in Erdem. Slouchy, drapey… with a cutout? It’s interesting and she has the body for it, so it works.
Lady Gaga in red Tom Ford. Because it’s Tom Ford, I want to see it in person, so I can see the detailing on the “honeycomb” and see if the netting actually looks amazing. Because in photos… not so amazing. But I do like that Gaga is changing it up a little bit.
Gwendoline Christie in Vivienne Westwood. QUEEN.
Karlie Kloss in Chanel. Considering Rita Ora was also in Chanel, I think Karlie should have gone with another designer. This doesn’t even look like Chanel to me, it’s so boring.
Kate Bosworth was my vote for the worst-dressed of the night. This is Erdem, and the designer was her date. Meaning, this is what he’s most proud of. This dress that looks like a box of tissues exploded around some black ribbons.
No, this might be the worst dressed! Poppy Delevingne in Emilia Wickstead. This is so bad, I’m actually laughing. I don’t think that collar is connected to anything on the dress? And the dress itself is TERRIBLE.

I guess celebrities are surrounded by “yes” people. Yes, you look great! Sure, that collar is perfect! Yes, let’s go with the used Kleenex one! People will love it!

They ALL look bad and no one can carry off these type of dresses. The only one that looked good was Gwen.
What happened to Kates face ? I know she’s had work on it in the past but now she looks nothing like herself.
I’m more concerned about Gaga’s face. She’s really been going full-force with the lip injections huh?

Gwen is definitely the perfect woman to wear Vivienne Westwood. Twigs looks okay, but with her body she could have chosen something more spectacular.
Her face was incredibly distracting in that Barnes & Noble commercial with Tony Bennet.
Kate is starting to look a bit like Nicole Kidman, right? Beware, girl!
I don’t mind Gaga’s lip injections. I thought she was fine before, but I think between them and the nose job, it gives better balance to her face.

FKA Twigs always looks like she is trying to look sexy with the drowsy eyes and open mouth, but the effect always looks more like a bad head cold to me.
And that Poppy’s dress. I like the bold menace of the clown collar combined with the “I’m harmless” saggy boobs bodice is a unique paradoxical design. Then there’s the “mom made me wear this to Church on Easter morning” skirt. When we consider the “I’m going to work as an up and coming teller” shoes, well. Truly that outfit is an homage to the the many-faceted experience of Womanhood.
Hilarious. And my mom DID make me wear that to Church on Easter morning. Lol
Yes..and I don’t get that nose ring…it is horrible..
I think it reminds me of animals and is it suppose to signify submissive or something…to my eyes it is ugly and detracts totally from her face..combine that with this silly facial pose and it is a mess..just like the dress!!!
WHATWASTHAT I think we are in the minority but I agree. There’s nothing prettier than a smile. The vacant look is her standard pose and it does not do her any favors.
I am a fan of piercings and tattoos (I have numerous of both and am a professional woman) but I despise the septum piercing, on anyone not just her. It always looks as if there is a nose nugget hanging out of their nose. I also find it very distracting from a persons face and in a case like the red carpet, their outfit.
My hatred for that knows no bounds. Hypocritical I know but I don’t care.
That open mouth pose is awful. Glad others agree. Honestly, I don’t even know anything else about her because that same god awful pose every time I see her makes me not want to. Kate Upton (is she even around anymore?) does the same thing. STOP! Just smile ladies geeze!

The only look I don’t mind is Karlie’s and even that is more boring than an actual good look.

Agree. It’s like she snuck it out of her big sister’s closet. Looks a bit loose and sloppy. Geez, I didn’t like most of what they wore to what is probably Britain’s biggest fashion night. Argh!!

Did anyone actually see the new Total Recall? She was so shot full of Botox it was distracting, her forehead was so shiny and immoveable. Beautiful woman, but definitely not a light touch.
Yeah people were mentioning that on other recent Beckinsale posts. It might be something you have to see in motion. For instance, Leah Remini’s face seems fine in pics but in her 20/20 interview the ‘Tox and fillers made her face look bizarre and frozen IMO.
It seems strange that actors wouldn’t be concerned with how all these injectables would affect the movement of their faces on-camera. I guess they’re only thinking short-term and what will look good in photos..sad..
There’s a reason why it’s called “LA Face” – because everyone there looks like that. It probably skews your perspective on what people should look like as they age.
I disagree. Her face has not moved in years. It’s very very obvious she does botox. Her skin is evenly-toned and smooth, she doesn’t need the tox. Not that much anyway, she’d still look youthful with half the amount she gets.
Yeah, she looks great. Her dress and Gwendoline’s are the only ones I can deal with.

Everyone else is a fail – some more epic than others. I agree Kate B is gorgeous and she could wear anything but this dress proves that even on her, “anything” is not a good look. FKA Twigs looks like the dog had a go at the dress and the tailor was too sloppy to hem the pants. Honestly, do they have mirrors?? Not even going to comment on Poppy and the rest, trying to forget I saw these outfits.

Kate Bosworth’s dress looks like it’s made for a woman about a foot taller than her, and her little pigeon toed pose makes it worse. The dress itself could be interesting of we actually saw it on someone who could carry it off, but alas we got the Bos. Will people please stop considering her a fashion girl soon?
I just can’t with FKA Twigs. I dont know why but whenever I look at her all I see is a rabbit face.

Since it is a fashion event, I’m willing to tolerate more avant garde stuff but Poppy D’s is beyond ridiculous. Gwen C’s is indeed beautiful. I actually don’t hate Kate B’s except for the black bow that evokes Col Sanders for me. FKA Twigs looks good, not try hard. And I just can’t stand Gaga no matter what she wears anymore.

I’m gonna disagree on Lady Gaga. I actually love her dress and her overall look. Thank goodness she’s out of the try-hard meat dress phase.
Style is not only thing Gaga has been changing. She got cheek implant first,now I see she got herself new chin. I bet nose is next.
Love Twigs and Gwendolyne. Kate isn’t bad either. And GaGa looks so…normal.

I think Twigs looks great, actually – love the way it hangs on her, and it looks modern and way fresher than another damn gown. Same with Gwen, that silver is divine.
What in the hell is that on Bosworth? I literally cannot figure it out. Delevingne rates a meh. Gwen and Kate are glamorous and interesting – really beautiful. Gaga the usual fare. Twigs understated and good makeup, but what is up with the hair?
I think the outfit is outrageous, but Twigs somehow pulls it off.

Twigs has rocked really gorgeous looks in the past – that McQueen bird dress, Met gala penis dress, etc. In comparison this one looks like a lazy choice, so weird for a high-profile fashion event. Even her concert outfits at the second-rate festivals are usually more inspired than this unflattering mess. And her hair looks like she did it herself and in a hurry.
Karlie’s Chanel is okay, it may be boring because Chanel has made a thousand variations of this dress before…

I can’t believe no one mentioned Eddie and Patsy presented Stella McCartney with her award. They showed up in costume and looked amazing! Joanna has not aged – just like Patsy! Was so great to see them and can’t wait for the film!
I thought Karlie looked lovely – the tailoring was great and loved the hair and red lip. Twigs, Poppy and Bosworth look like they were Project Runway Roadkill.

I liked twigs avant garde jumper. I wanted différent make up though. She looked fine here. People complaining about her mouth/eyes… All it does is tell people you’re really unattractive in person lol. With hazards-lights blinking on.. See i’m ugly because I can only pick on someones mouth open.
Kate is a queen all day and night. Loved her look and her an twigs walking down RC looked even better. You didn’t post here but Jourdan won the night. Best dressed.

This is the most at British Fashion I’ve seen in awhile. Twigs winning innovator award is stellar and most appropriate- well deserved. I’ve seen her give it better but she looks stylishly elegant as usual. I’m going solo on my approval of Poppis dress too. It’s the British awards, and it’s what they do. Same for Kate and Alexa. Twigs, Kate, Alexa and Poppi all came to work what they do in their style in a cool fresh way! I dig it.
