Gigi Hadid and Kendall Jenner are currently in France for Paris Fashion Week. These are some photos of Gigi and Kendall out and about on Thursday. As you can see, they seem to have switched hair colors! Kendall has always been dark-haired, to varying degrees, but she’s almost always stuck close to the chocolate-brown hair color that she was born with. But now she’s a blonde. A white-blonde with really bad roots. Of course, I’m assuming none of this was a spur-of-the-moment personal decision – reportedly, Gigi and Kendall did this hair-color swap for the Balmain show.
As for Gigi’s newly dark look… does anyone else think this looks like a wig? I was zooming in on her hairline to see if I could figure it out. If it’s a real dye job, it looks okay, better than Kendall’s bleach job. I also finally see the resemblance between Gigi and her sister Bella! Bella famously went “dark” to stand apart from Gigi’s blonde, beachy vibe. Like, Gigi is the blonde surfer girl sister and Bella is the dark-haired goth sister. What will Bella do now?
There’s actually a grand tradition of models making radical hairstyle changes and ending up being on the forefront of a new hair movement – think Linda Evangelista or Kate Moss or Agyness Deyn. But more often than not, models generally want to look the same because that certain look becomes part of their brand. What will happen to Kendall and Gigi’s brands if these hair colors are here to stay? Yeah, that’s just the thing – I doubt the hair changes are here to stay. I bet by Monday, Gigi is back to a blonde and Kendall is back to brunette.

What is with the trend of having a dye job and leaving the roots like you are growing out the color or you need a touch up. The color does not suit her.

These dye jobs show just how boring these girls are. It’s a models job to change effortless and still look amazing. Both these girls are just average girls I see on the street. Nothing wrong with that, just not model material. Crazy how far you can go with connections.
Yup. Every time I’ve said the two of them are boring and not that special I got told that they are beautiful. What they are is regular pretty. I remember when Linda and Christy were big and I would just look at their perfect faces, and I get the same feeling looking at Charlize. That’s beautiful. Those two… yes they have great bodies but their faces are nothing to write home about, and here you can see how much the right makeup and hair does to lift them. Put a bad wig on and all they are is pouty lips with strong eyebrows. Blah.
I have seen the 90s supers in person and they did stand out. They were each very unique looking and no one resembled the other. That is why Gisele is considered the last of the supermodels. I agree totally with both of you.
They’re both wearing actual Balmain wigs and it was for the show; all the models on the runway wore them. They might be getting paid to wear them around afterwards or are just doing it for the attention.

Ι was about to post the same thing. In the Balmain show every model appear with the opposite hair color. Even Alessandra Ambrosio was a blond.

They are not supermodels and I’m tired of every model being called one. They are two average pretty tall girls you see running around LA and NYC trying to model. They are second tier catalog girls and really nothing more.

Yep, Kate Moss got paid 25k to dye her hair pink for Versace runway in the 90’s. Got paid major buck to dye it white for Gucci runway (Tom Ford era), too. My cousin is a famous editorial hair colorist did the job both times for Kate.

Agree completely w those of you saying that neither girl would be a famous model (or even a model at all) w/out family connections and wealth. My friend is a model for DNA and is absolutely gorgeous–much more so than these two–and she struggles constantly (and for 2 years, mostly fruitlessly) to get work. That these two bland, unmemorably attractive girls have catapulted to instant “supermodel” stardom makes a mockery out of actual, struggling, far more capable models (though, granted, modeling itself is certainly very easy to mock!) There is nothing physically striking or unusual or compelling about either one—-though I will say (to be nice) that Gigi usually at least looks fairly happy…like she’s acutely aware of her good fortune. Kendall, though, appears spiritually cavernous, utterly hollow, like a walking cardboard doll. I resent her for denying that her family has been a huge part of her instantaneous success; in fact, she steadfastly claims that her family name made it actually “harder” for her to find work than if she’d been unknown. PLEASE: Do these Kardashian/Jenner women actually believe their own labyrinths of ludicrous lies, at this point? I suppose they’re all just so stupid and insatiably self absorbed that they assume that everyone else is stupid, too.

Ahh nepotism. . Kendal would be a Kmart catalogue model if it wasn’t for her family’s connections. She always looks so smug in public, but I know she cries herself to sleep at night because her family is so universally hated. Deep down she knows she’ll never be taken seriously. These designers are just capitalizing on her social media fame. You know all the models that put in WORK to get where they are hate these two with a passion! I can just imagine the behind the scenes eye rolls when Kendal does the same tired zoolander face she did for the last 15 campaigns Pimp Mama K bribed someone for.
