Rachel Roy’s emails to & about Jay-Z may have been ‘hacked’ or ‘stolen’

It’s been just over two weeks since Beyonce took over everything with her Lemonade, and it’s been the same amount of time since the Beyhive went after Rachel Roy. Rachel made the mistake – or was it a mistake? – of outing herself as “Becky with the Good Hair” in an Instagram posted shortly after the premiere of Lemonade. The Beyhive trolled the hell out of Roy’s social media until she made everything private. But the damage was done. Almost everyone believes that not only was Beyonce mainly referring to Roy as THE Becky, but people also believe that Roy was the reason why everything went sideways after the 2014 Met Gala, with Solange throwing down on Jay-Z in the elevator.

After the Beyhive came after Roy online, Roy canceled a public appearance and then made an exclusive statement to People Magazine. She claimed that she had nothing to do with Beyonce and Jay-Z’s marital issues and she also said that she and her daughter were being “bullied” by Beyonce-fans. People weren’t really buying it though – Jezebel had a great piece about how Roy purposefully misused the “bullying” label. And plus, most people believe that Rachel posted that “good hair” Instagram on purpose, to get at Beyonce. Anyway, that’s just a recap. Late last week, The Sun (UK) claimed that someone has hacked into Roy’s emails. Scandal.

Jay Z may soon have his 100th problem. Designer Rachel Roy, the rumored mistress of the famed rapper that may have inspired Beyoncé’s “Sorry” has had her “personal information” stolen from her computer, London’s The Sun reported.

“Rachel has confided to friends about the stolen emails,” a source told the paper. “She has no idea how they’ve been swiped but is aware of how much harm they can cause.”

“From a personal level, she wanted to distance herself from the furor after initially playing up to the link as Jay Z’s rumored other woman,” the source told The Sun. “But now she fears the spotlight will be well and truly back on her, Jay Z and Beyoncé if these conversations end up online.”

[From The NYDN]

I know we’re supposed to be scandalized by the meat of this gossip, that Roy’s emails could be made public and we could possibly learn the extent (and timing) of her alleged relationship with Jay-Z. But you know what bugs me? The fact that this “email hacking” story originated at The Sun. It’s far more likely that The Sun was the one to hack into Roy’s email account. It’s far more likely that nothing much has changed with the British press, that they’re still hacking and looking for illegal angles for their gossip. As for Roy’s email… I’ll believe it when I see it.

She does have good hair though

    • Snazzy says:

ha! I came here to say the same thing 🙂

    • BendyWindy says:

IMO, all hair is “good hair.”

Does RR have a nice do? Sure, but that’s not what good hair means.

    • Tiffany :) says:

I can’t see the hair because I’m distracted by the pants. What in the polterwang hell is going on with those pants she’s wearing!?!

      • Bridget says:

I am not a fan of them either. They’re looking a bit diaper-ish from this angle.

      • Magnoliarose says:

They are atrocious. They look like pants with a built in diaper just in case.

      • Erica_V says:

Polterwang – I said the same – you’ve gotta be a fellow Fug National.

    • Samtha says:

Her hair is thick and shiny, but I desperately want to cut off those split ends.

    • Kitten says:

      LOL MTE!

    • sequinedheart says:

      Seriously good hair.

    • Fiorella says:

Looks processed! I mean mine is worse but she’s rich and half Indian and not bleached. Hers shouldn’t look so processed
Love her brows though. I mean I wouldn’t shape then exactly like that but I’m jelly she has so much to work with

  2. Sarah(too) says:

I think its far more likely that Rachel sold the emails to the Sun and the hacking claim is cover. And yes, she does have good hair.

  3. Maleficent says:

I’m on Team “I’ll Believe It When I See It” too.

  4. aims says:

Why isn’t Jay-Z skating through this? He’s the one who cheated on his family.

    • nicole says:

I agree, all the attention is on this woman and Rita Ora and whoever. Beyonce didn’t name the woman, she did name Jay Z. She’s obviously blaming him, others should follow suit.

    • Veronica says:

Because society is still way behind where it should be. But there were slew of Jay-Z memes following the album, mocking his dumb ass life codes, so not everyone was acting a fool about his involvement. Roy is more at fault for hijacking the conversation.

    • Dani says:

Agree. Rachel nor Rita have no obligation to Beyonce. They’re entitled to do as they please (even if it’s wrong). People should be going after Jay for treating their precious snowflake like shit.

  5. Myrna says:

So, this is only the beginning, it seems.

What offends me is how anyone is attacking this woman.
If it’s true that she had a thing with JayZ, he’s the one who should be attacked.
From what I understand, she was single.
    JayZ was married.
If he cheated, that’s on him.
Is it unbecoming bad judgement on the part of Rachel – yeah, sure.
But he is the one who betrayed his wife and vows.
The furor should be directed at him.
    And by his wife.

I just don’t get the attack on the other woman.
And I’m a woman who has been cheated on, before anyone accuses me of being the other woman.

    • Saks says:

      Agree

    • jeanpierre says:

Jay-Z had a proper beatdown for it.
And I think Rachel Roy also deserves to be attacked. She outed herself being straight disrespectful in the process and she used to be friend with Solange. She is as guilty as Jay-Z. I won’t cry for her. Close your legs to married men, you won’t face those problems.

      • Dani says:

More like Beyonce outed her. She took so many beat down left and right from Beyonce fans and didn’t say a word. Close your legs to married men? How about keep your junk saved for your wife.

    • Naya says:

I think we have already covered this ground but lets revisit it. Firstly, the lyrics on that album never address the mistress. Even the Becky line is addressed at the cheating partner not the mistress.

Secondly, Jay Z was the centre of attention before Rachel inserted herself and the clowning memes were galore. It wasn’t as vitriolic because jay Zs actually participation in the visual album was viewed as a mea culpa. Also, the fact that the album is actually about reconciliation not betrayal means they have determined to work through it.

Rachel on the other hand didnt show any contrition. In fact inserting herself was an attempt to jab at the wronged party. This is why people will not let her off the hook. Even this hacked email story is probably just a plant so that she can release them and humiliate the “other woman”. And yes, she probably believes herself to be in competition with the actual wife as most mistresses do. In short, the public isnt punishing her for cheating, she is being punished for trying to use this fact to “one up” the wife.

      • Magnoliarose says:

Everything you said. She inserted herself into the conversation.

      • Fiorella says:

Also it’s not news that j cheated on b at all. Wasn’t there talk of a love child (son) in the Bahamas years ago? Then Rihanna and Rita rumours … Lots of guys cheat right ? So that’s kinda old news. But. Mistress identified is interesting news! Especially Kim k is her friend? So ppl like to talk about that

    • Veronica says:

And the album is about his screw up. The Becky line is meant to reflect what a fool HE is for throwing away such a unique woman like Beyonce. Rachel Roy was a minute part of the conversation until she chose to insert herself into it, and she did it in a very gross way – mocking the wronged woman rather than the man who started all of it. She wanted the attention, and she got it. My sympathy is very limited.

  6. Harryg says:

This is all bullshit to sell crap.

    • Laura says:

Agreed. She is sooooo overrated. She is a top 40 singer with a very, very talented publicity machine. I cannot believe that people are so certain that this garbage is for real. I am also disgusted with her behavior re other women and her manipulation of her fans. I can’t wait until I don’t have to hear about this annoying publicity stunt every day.

  7. Magnoliarose says:

She got used to the extra attention and wants to keep it going. I will believe she was hacked when more information is revealed. No sympathy for this troll.

  8. Jessie says:

How would she know she was hacked? They don’t physically take the emails. Did they drop her a warning note? Change her password? That’s just not how this works. I’m on team she sold them if they exist.

    • Thislittlemama says:

Thank you! I was hoping someone was going to ask this- and am sad no one has responded…
How would one possibly know their emails had been ‘swiped?’ When people start getting spam from my email address, I only know because they tell me…maybe I’m just not tech savvy.

    • Dani says:

I immediately thought this too. Emails don’t go “missing.” What an idiot.

  9. Nicole says:

They are determined to work through what? What he always does so they make more money and both be happy.

  10. Hotpockets says:

It took 72 writers to come up with Beyonce’s latest album, I highly doubt “Becky with the good hair” was even an original thought of Beyonces. That line alone probably took at least 10 of the 72 writers to write.

Spoiler Alert…Becky with the good hair is just a made up, fictitious being, there is no Becky, just money and album sales.

  11. Meadow says:

Hacked or stolen = she or her team are shopping them around for a big payday.

  12. kacy says:

    I can’t get over her vagina pants…

  13. JRenee says:

    Pretend pens holster pants, smh.
