When you get married at Kensington Palace, your baby shower is not likely going to be in the backroom of an Applebees. Nicky Hilton Rothschild threw herself a precious baby shower at the Hotel Bel Air last Friday. Big sis Paris took time out from prepping for her upcoming documentary to co-host. The event featured every shade of pink and a portrait of Nicky as a child as it’s centerpiece. Guests sipped on pink lemonade from baby bottles and took home Nicky’s childhood likeness attached to the favors, which were little baby jars filled with trifle. See? Precious! The co-hosting sisters wore coordinated doilies and posted almost every precious moment to either Snapchat or Instagram.
This baby’s gonna be born into style. Nicky Hilton celebrated her impending motherhood with a lavish baby shower at the Hotel Bel-Air on Friday, May 13.
The expectant entrepreneur, 32, looked stunning in a cream-colored off-shoulder lace dress and nude pumps that showed off her tiny frame and long legs.
The purse designer — who wed husband James Rothchild in London last July 2015 — wore her hair pulled back in a simple ponytail with braid accents.
In another snapshot, Paris, 35, and Nicky posed with their aunt, Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Kim Richards and pregnant cousin Brooke Wiederhorn. Wiederhorn revealed happy baby news this past March in a cute post to Instagram on Easter.
“Baby shower crew,” she captioned a shot of herself with her pals — among them, older sister Paris, who posed in a chic blush dress and matching sunglasses.
Her proud sibling posted a whole slew of pretty pink-tinged photos to her own Instagram.
“I’m excited to be an aunt for the first time,” Paris captioned the photo. “And my aunt @KimRichards is thrilled to be a grandma for the first time!”
LaToya Jackson and Bijou Phillips attended along with Nicky’s cousins, including Real Housewife Kim Richard’s daughter Brooke Wiederhorn. Brooke is also expecting a baby and cupped her stomach the whole event so no one would forget it. Nicky’s aunt Kyle Richards is hoping baby Rothschild will help reunite her with estranged sisters Kathy Hilton and Kim Richards. Right after the announcement she told Page Six, “Don’t babies always [bring families closer]? I think so.” I guess they do, Kyle and her daughters attended the shower
No men were allowed. This may be because it was a Nicky girl themed shower or because the boys in the Hilton clan are a bunch of violent, entitled pricks. However, crafty grandpa-to-be Rick snuck in for some pictures and a quick speech. My favorite description of his words were from Daily Mail who cast a sequoia-sized amount of shade by saying, “Paris recorded some of the speech and posted it on Snapchat but while what Rick said could not be heard, many guests were left wanting to cry.” I imagine they were.
Aaaaawww, Paris called her little sis #MILF, because that’s not creepy

Just no. As soon as I saw my “glass” was a baby bottle, I would’ve been out of there. I hate all showers as a general rule. That would have pushed me over the edge.

Someone with no friends to do it.
Big deal. People throw their own birthday, graduation, etc parties all the time. Good way to make certain you like the decorations, food and guests!
Especially when the decorations are pictures of yourself.
And who throws their own birthday party?
The invite should say, “bring yourself, no presents necessary, donate to Planned Parenthood or (insert charity here).”

Papa Rick isn’t aging well. It’s probably very stressful keeping your kids out of jail.

Imagine the husband daddy-to-be James Rothschild, financier, offspring of a grand family, attending a baby shower and sipping his pink drink from a baby bottle.

I have always wondered what the Rothschild clan would say about the Rothschild-Hilton marriage.
How did the DM cast shade? Nicky’s dad showed up and made a speech that made guests get teary and emotional. Paris posted a clip but you couldn’t hear the actual speech.
What am I missing?
