Tom Hiddleston started pursuing Taylor seconds after her split from Calvin Harris

tiddles us

TIDDLES ALL THE TIME. Tiddles all day, Tiddles all night. Tiddles After Dark. Tiddles for life!!

The glory that is The Great Tiddlesbanging of 2016 has earned this week’s cover of Us Weekly. In case anyone was wondering, Tom Hiddleston and Taylor Swift have known each other for about six weeks, and I would argue that they’ve probably only been Tiddlesbanging for three weeks, tops. But this thing has gone full-throttle. And Us Weekly’s sources claim that it was Tom who made the first move.

The moment Taylor Swift had a blank space in her love life, Tom Hiddleston made his move. The 35-year-old Brit told MTV UK he found the pop star, 26, “very charming” when they were seated next to each other at the May 2 Met Gala in New York City. So when he learned she had split with EDM DJ Calvin Harris, 32, in early June, “he started reaching out,” says a close Swift insider in the new issue of Us Weekly.

The romantic actor — he has admitted to skipping an audition to surprise his college girlfriend in Paris — also sent flowers, adds the insider: “He really courted her. He liked her and saw an opportunity when she was suddenly single, and he went for it.”

Despite her recent breakup, Swift was game for a new flirtation. Says the insider, “She’s single, so of course if a cute guy reaches out who she likes, she would talk to him. There really isn’t a better way to get over a breakup!”

Thanks to the strapping 6-foot-2 Night Manager star, Swift’s broken heart is healing, well, swiftly. The pair — photographed making out near her Westerly, Rhode Island, mansion June 14 — “are very into each other,” says the insider. “When he went up to her house in Rhode Island, the love just bloomed pretty instantly.”

Another Swift source predicts the romance could have staying power. Hiddleston, beloved for his role as Thor’s evil brother, Loki, in the Thor and Avengers films, “checks off a lot of boxes,” says the source. “He’s hot, smart, talented, British — everything she’s into.”

[From Us Weekly]

If this is true – and I definitely think it’s possible – what does that mean for the true-blue die-hard Dragonflies? What does it mean that Tom pursued her, that he pounced on her as soon as she was single, that she is what he wants right now? As I’ve said many times, this relationship makes me think more of Taylor and less of Tom.

What else? The Daily Mail got exclusive photos of Taylor looking smug and properly Tiddlesbanged following the Selena Gomez concert:

Holding hands! It’s like a princess fairy tale come true!

One more item on the Tiddlextravaganza, these quotes from a source close to Tom, to People Magazine. We can safely assume that these quotes came from Tom’s publicist (who should be out of a job for that W Magazine editorial).

“Tom’s a very smart, attractive guy with a fun personality,” a pal of the Night Manager actor tells PEOPLE. And although “dating the most famous singer in the world feels slightly out of character” for the charismatic Brit, the pair have may more in common than meets the eye.

“He can’t meet new people without them having preconceived ideas of him, and I’m sure Taylor feels the same way,” says the friend. “It’s a tightrope he’s learning. He keeps more to himself now, though is generous with his time and attention to people.”

[From People]

This is a thread running through a week’s worth of press clippings about Tiddles: that Tom is somehow at her level, that they complement each other, that they are each other’s types. But is that really the case? I don’t even know anymore. I do know that it just occurred to me that I could be using Tiddlesex in place of Tiddlesbanging. Thoughts? I now sort of love Tiddlesex.

    Tiddlecanoodling?

I am already tired of them.

    • kiki says:

so am I. I am so tired of them.

    • Hejhej says:

This. So much this. But you just know they’re going to keep pushing themselves like they’re the IT couple of the century -_-

    • iGotNothin says:

Count me in. I’m confused about why people are actually engaging in this nonsense. I bet if no one paid attention they would “quietly part ways.’ But I guess this PR pairing is equally beneficial…until he realizes that it isn’t.

    • Mia V. says:

I can’t read any of this and don’t think of Loki ironically saying “Is this love?”

    • Miss Jupitero says:

iGotNothing, the thing to remember though is that it has nothing to do with the plebes– who in this cases are mostly ridiculing them from the sidelines.

Publicists and celebrity journalists worked hand in glove on this stuff. The independent paparazzi is largely an illusion. There is a *lot* of money potentially involved in endorsements, and no shortage of ego. Taylor will get the coverage she wants, and in exchange will give the journalists exactly what they, and especially their advertisers, want. Meanwhile, every time you click on a link, even if it is to heckle, the data-mining companies are tracking your data and selling it to advertisers. Big bucks for everyone, and it has nothing whatever to do with art. This is what our Hiddles is truly all about.

    • Sixer says:

I’m enjoying engaging but feel a bit raped by being data-mined. Ho hum. You can’t have it all.

      • Lilacflowers says:

Just don’t click on the links.

Curious as to whether there is Brexit Bread and Brexit biscuits and Brexit Brew beer?

      • Sixer says:

No products with Brexit! Like I said the other day, I live in quite a pro-Brexit area but there haven’t even been any posters in windows. I honestly think 9 in 10 of the Britisher population just wish the whole thing would go away and the remaining 1 in 10 are generating all the noise.

      • Dippit says:

Sixer – don’t forget the Brexit-Conspiracy-Pens. I’ve been asked at least a dozen times today at various polling places about whether the pencils are indelible (Yes they are – there are easier ways to ‘fix’ a vote anyway *rolleyes*).

Latest betting markets on implied probability of victory are 85% Remain, 15% Leave.

I’ve drunk way too much flask coffee, feel sick, need this to be over.

*puts hands up* to being guilty of being one of the 1 in 10.

      • Sixer says:

That’s my favourite thing of all. DON’T USE THEIR PENCILS!

But I am seeing reports from everywhere of polling stations being packed. This is good news for Remain.

      • Dippit says:

Sixer, I saw this and thought of you:http://www.theguardian.com/politics/commentisfree/2016/jun/23/ways-to-cope-with-eu-referendum-angst?CMP=twt_a-politics_b-gdnukpolitics

        🙂

I especially like the idea of watching “Passport to Pimlico” (reminds me of my gran).

Yes, turnout here is high (not IndyRef high for the same time of day, but high) – that bodes well for Remain.

/have to cut back on the flask coffee or I’ll still be awake for the next Referendum… I’m sure, either way, we’ll be due one following Tuesday night’s performance, on “Should Scotland allow England, Wales, and Northern Ireland to adopt Ruth Davidson – Yes or No?”. My politics are of a different colour, but she played a blinder – cut her teeth on IndyRef and kept her game up since.

      • Sixer says:

HA! As we type, I am chortling at the gazillions of 93-year-old Mum tweets! But I love the cross stitch your X thing. If I’d have thought of that, I’d have done it!

      • Dippit says:

The 93yr old mum tweets are giving me life at the moment.

      • Rebecca/Becky says:

What’s wrong with the pencils in the voting booths?

In the meantime this is great:
        https://www.facebook.com/matt.kingunique/posts/10153534207265964

      • Dippit says:

Becky – absolutely nothing wrong with them, they are specially designed so as not to be easily/unobtrusively erasable. However, Brexiteers (or their zoomer conspiracy theorist faction at least) have taken it into their heads that “The Establishment”/MI5 will rig the Referendum by (interfering with the time-space continuum in order to illegally open all the tens of thousand ballot boxes across the UK as they are in transit to Counts and, at warp-speed, sort through them in the back of vans and estate cars, rubbing out all ‘Leave’ crosses and replacing them with ‘Remain’ crosses) by fixing the ballot papers.

So in their state of suspended disbelief/conspiracy enhanced belief, some Brexiteers are recommending (in some cases handing out) pens to Leave voters.

*shakes head* – it happened at the Scottish IndyRef too.

      • Sixer says:

        That made me laugh, Becky.

Dippitt – there was a pen left in my polling booth this morning. I’m hoping it was unrelated and nobody in my village is that much of a noodle brain. I have also seen this particularly rabid cadre suggest the murder of Jo Cox was a false flag to change the momentum of the campaign from Leave to Remain. I kid you not.

      • Dippit says:

I asked a ‘Leave’ rep outside a polling place earlier if I could borrow a pen, they gave me a knowing look, but then their face fell as I pulled out my Remain folder and my agent’s card and said I was just going in to get the turnout %s… teeehee, gotta have some fun on the rounds.

I saw that and it made my blood boil. I’d shared Conference company with Jo Cox a couple of times past and I’m utterly repulsed by some of the reactions to her death. So many of us struggled to function last week. My thoughts remain with her family, friends, and close colleagues. Fortunately, there was much good to be found in the majority of responses to such a tragic happening.

P.S. 17:00 update on the market – slight tightening but still just under 85% Remain in probability of victory with Weighted Predicted Result at 54.7% to Remain.

      • Lilacflowers says:

I want a Brexit conspiracy pen!

      • Rebecca/Becky says:

You’re not supposed to use pens! That’s why pencils are provided in the voting booths. They always have been when I’ve voted anyway.

        As per the Guardian:
“A council has urged voters not to use pens when they cross their EU referendum ballot papers as it could cause them to smudge”

Silly conspiracists. Interesting statistic I read the other day: Leave voters are more likely to be climate change deniers.

      • Sixer says:

I think there are good reasons to vote Leave, including as a Lexit vote from the leftie perspective. If this was a referendum on a treaty change in ten years’ time, I might even consider it. (Dippit – I’m not a million miles from Paul Mason on this one, although I’m not 100% on his page. And commiserations on the loss of Jo Cox).

But it has to be said – elections and referenda attract the disturbed fringes of the population and on this occasion, I haven’t come across a single frothing Remainer. They’re all on the Leave side. If I were wavering, which I’m not, I think this would probably have decided me. I couldn’t cast my lot in with that level of fluckwittery.

Lilac – I’ve fallen a bit in love with your John Lewis guy and got quite addicted to all the Periscopes et al. He’s gone FIERCE!

      • Lilacflowers says:

@Dippit, sounds like too many people believe Dr Who is real.

      • Dangles says:

@Sixer: You’re comparing being data-mined to being raped? Can’t believe other posters have let this pass without comment. Maybe they think you’re just trolling.

      • Sixer says:

Sorry: should have said violated. Too busy Brexiting.

      • lilacflowers says:

@Sixer, yes, John Lewis is FIERCE. I love him. One of my few heroes. And one of the few whom I’ve actually met. He was a Freedom Rider and a student leader in the marches from Selma to Montgomery, suffering a fractured skull for his efforts. He was an organizer for the March on Washington which featured Martin Luther King’s “I have a dream…” speech. He fights for peace and justice and is just a wonderful human being.

      • Sixer says:

        Holy flucking shite.

Fear the impetus to swear may mean I’m better off not posting for a bit.

      • Sixer says:

£200 billion wiped off the markets, the pound has dropped to a 30 year low (twice the drop of 2008), Cameron has resigned, and the Bank of England has had to pump £250 billion into the market. It is only 9am.

Over and out because I am having the biggest temper tantrum I’ve had since I relapsed with the Hodgkins when Sixlet Minor was 8 months old.

    • Miss Jupitero says:

Yeah me too Sixer. I will also admit though that I googled to find out who made TayTay’s outfit and found the “Taylor Swift Style Blog,” which of course has links to wear you can buy everything. Ooooo and look at the ads that are now following me everywhere!

Someone makes money off of this, and some of that money absolutely makes it back to the celebrity. I noticed that they Taylor Swift blog is also shilling Hiddles’s outfits as well. They track the data, and his publicists and GQ will certainly be taking note.

      • Sixer says:

Seriously, I do find that quite creepy and rapey. It’s not at all the glory of Tiddlesex, is it?

      • Lilacflowers says:

I’m currently being followed by ads about iPhone charger cords and walker accessories. That’s what I get for trying to jazz up my aunt’s walker and replacing a burnt out charger

    • cyn says:

I wake up each morning hoping that there isn’t yet another article and every morning I am disappointed so this morning I say F it! I am going all in. I want a Hiddleswift music video that will make Bennifer’s look like high art. I want a wedding with a horse drawn carriage and doves at the Waldorf in June with Anne Wintour as the wedding planner with a complete Bridezilla documentary. I want a gaggle of lanky, pasty, uncoordinated famewhory children who will make the Kardashian/Jenners look like the Obama girls. By God if we are doing this, we need to do it right.

      • Lilacflowers says:

@Cyn, Taylor wants all that too. Exactly like that. But if she had taste, she would opt for the church his family usually uses.

      • ClaireB says:

Lol, @cyn! I was disgusted at first, but now I’ve decided that I want this to be true love. I want them to stay together forever, coyly posing for the paps and releasing ridiculous insider statements to People. I want your video, wedding, Bridezilla, everything!

Although Tom doesn’t look nearly as smug as Taylor in those post-Gomez pics above, so who knows if my dream will come true.

      • cyn says:

Okay so the latest I read this morning Calvin has refollowed Taylor and her brother on Instagram/Twitter and Tay Tay has followed him back. Why you say? I got three options. One – They are going to be grown ups and not cause any drama and are trying to be amicable. Boo!!!!!! Two – Calvin is trolling because he has a single coming out Friday. I just want this boy be messy like we know he can be. Three – (my heart’s true wish) Tay and Calvin are talking again and Lord Horsefly is about to get dumped. That would be like Christmas and my birthday wrapped into one. Just thinking about it, I look like Mr. Burns fingers folded saying “Excellent!”

      • Jess says:

Calvin followed all his exes inc Rita ora, and Kanye and Kim and Katy Perry.

      • I like both of them…perhaps him more than her…but I just don’t get why he would agree to something that by all appearances, seems to be so MANAGED. I mean, he went to a SELENA GOMEZ CONCERT. He MUST love her.

      • LizLemonGotMarried says:

Welcome to the club! We may not have snacks on the veranda yet but we’re getting there! I put my money down on marriage when this first came out and I’m standing by it.
Now, who will take whose name? Will she remain professionally Taylor Swift, but privately Taylor Hiddleston? Will they merge and be the Swiddlestons? I can’t wait…

  3. OSTONE says:

This pairing has brought me tremendous joy. Tales of fairytales, Oxford shoes on the beach, the meme of Tom helping his “nana” see the beach one last time, Tiddlesdancing!! Tiddlesex! Calvin Harris pouting! I mean, it’s glorious y’all! Just one thing though, I hope they do not saturate a la Gwen-Blake or the Batffleck divorce.

    • Eleonor says:

I love these two. It’s glorious old school gossip.
I should remove Tiddle Zoolander editorial to still find him hot.

      • Annetommy says:

What the heck, he didn’t physically pounce on her, life’s too short to delay, if he hadn’t acted swiftly (sorry…) she might have found someone else Taylor-ed (sorry…) to her specifications.

    • JenniferJustice says:

haven’t they arlready – saturated the market with the coupling? Alot of us are already tired of it and it’s only been two weeks.

  4. InVain says:

I really didn’t think anyone could outdo Gwake…. well done Tiddles, well done.

I’m already so hung over from this relationship *barf*.

    • Naya says:

Right? If last year was the “year of the break up” then this year must be the “year of the corny PR relationship”. Looking forward to the TMZ video of Tayto face timing each other, though.

  5. Abigail says:

I sense a major attempt at image management on his part, since Hiddles was initially being presented as a kept man (her slippery wet rocks, her plane, her Selena concert). I still tend to think that she has the power in this relationship.

    • Zapp Brannigan says:

I think they are both 15 year old girls on the inside, but yeah she has the power here, both financial and public image management wise. He is toast when this ends.

    • Maria says:

agree with both you (especially both being little girls on the inside xD) Tom is nowhere near her level and it will backfire even more if they are trying to make it seem like he is. he has lots of invested fans on the internet but fame thats actually having an impact? nowhere near Taylor. also the way different net worths. he is wealthy compared to us but compared to Taylor he has nothing. totally different ball park.

    • Naya says:

She is definitely in charge of whatever the hell this is. The timing of those photos (hi Calvin) gives it away.

I also think he is now attempting to pivot the coverage to give himself a more “masculine” edge. These pics of him walking ahead of her even though they are holding hands are supposed to communicate more traditional gender roles.

      • Hudson Girl says:

I liked the way he looks at her. Roar.

His “fans” didn’t support his movies enough to make a box office difference in the last 18 months so, he’s probably thinking that section of fame is useless. Rightly so.
People who actually pay to go to movies- that aren’t superhero films- are learning who he is now via the news. As a research sampling I called my parents and asked them. Ha!

I agree with the PR, he’s on the right path. He’s an elitist who realizes fans downloading his movie for free is not going to get him anywhere with the big players. He wants butts in movie seats and to be able to cherry pick projects bouncing from theater, film, and TV.

      • Lilacflowers says:

He is walking ahead of her because she is being pulled back by her friend holding her other hand from behind. The friend’s husband brings up the rear. It’s a handholding chain.

      • Dara says:

@Hudson, I was thinking along those lines as well. He gained very little by doing a bunch of artistic, adult projects (except perhaps some personal satisfaction and a modicum of critical acclaim), so now he’s going after a demographic that might actually pay to see his upcoming films – all of which will be popcorn spectacles, not high-brow at all. Their success – and what his prospects look like afterward – will be entirely measured by how well they do at the box office.

      • browniecakes says:

Makes sense. He said in Philly he didn’t think the Bond call was forthcoming, then he started macking on Taylor almost immediately. Maybe he knows/has been told his future is tent pole giant studio movies like Kong and Thor that appeal to Taylor’s demographic. The Bond audience was courted when he took the BFI Ambassador position.

      • Dara says:

+1 @brownie. I don’t think any of this is about Bond.

      • Vic says:

        @ dara

As if Taylor’s tween fan base will go see him en masse at the movies. He’s way too old and too old looking to be marketable to tweens.
His fanbase is middle aged Anglophile women.

      • Miss Melissa says:

        A handholding chain?

        How charming.

      • Miss Melissa says:

        A handholding chain?

        How delightful.

  6. NewWester says:

I wonder if this relationship progresses and they decide to marry ,what the wedding would be like?
Would it be a small intimate affair or an over the top royal wedding on steroids with flocks of doves, millions of flowers and also lavender coloured stone cockatoo decorations? Who in her girl squad would be maid or matron of honour? Would there be a brawl among the squad members to be Taylor’s number one? So many questions

  7. Frannydays says:

    Tiddlediddling?

  8. Roxane says:

Oh gosh Taylor’s expressions !! Hilarious. As for the publicist text on People, yes it does sound ridiculous to imply that, somehow, he’s on the same level as Taylor and she understood poor Tom. Please.

    • margaret says:

Taylor isn’t that famous ouside US. No one care about her because her music is too bad.

      • Miss S says:

Agree. We know who she is the same way we know who Jay Z is, but it doesn’t cause commotion. She would fill big venues, but is not a media magnet.

      • Saks says:

I think she is popular with the teenage demographics.

    • Rebecca/Becky says:

Margaret, Taylor is very well known outside the US, she gets headlines and front covers in the UK for example.

      • margaret says:

US and UK aren’t the all world. She’s not “very well known” trust me.

      • Rebecca/Becky says:

OK which country are we talking about?

I’m not a fan but to claim she isn’t that famous outside the US is reaching, sorry:

        http://www.ifpi.org/news/Taylor-Swift-named-IFPI-global-recording-artists-of-2014

      • maria 2 says:

I have never seen anything about her in Sweden. Can’t remember seeing anything when I was living in Germany either but that was a few years ago. Basically I only see her name one american gossip sites

      • Claudia says:

The last album made her very popular in Germany (in all of Europe, I think). Before that not really, but now she’s very famous and her songs get played on the radio all the time.

      • kai says:

I’m German. Taylor’s big with the teenybopper crowd, definitely. Along with Selena and Bieber etc. In that age group, she’s one of the most famous pop stars. She’s on the radio a lot as well.

      • Miss S says:

I feel that it’s different in non English countries. We know who she is but she won’t be talked about is the news in the same way as Beyonce will.

      • Saks says:

@Miss S, it is curious the popularity of artists outside the US. For example in my country, Beyonce’s name might be recognized but I don’t think that many people can name you a song of her beside maybe Crazy in Love and/or Single Ladies, and she is not that huge here. Taylor’s name is more recognizable (because she is super popular with teens) but again, not many people would know a song of hers.

      • Sixer says:

I’m British and the only time Swift has ever crossed my radar is on this site. But then I don’t read tabloids, my kids don’t listen to pop and neither do I, etc etc etc.

So I would say it is perfectly possible to live here and be entirely unaware of her existence. But only if you don’t inhabit the teenybopper world at all.

  9. MrsBPitt says:

Taylor is the new JLO….Can’t be without a man for a second!

  10. Jezza says:

Can’t take Tom seriously. She has the maturity of a teenager – she’s holding his hand and her friends. Plus he went with her to a selina gomez concert (no offense to selina)!! It just seems way too “off brand” for him.

He won’t be Bond when this is over.

    • lilacflowers says:

Well, the choices for the day were the Selina Gomez concert or a birthday party at a zoo for her friend’s one year old. And most large concert venues have vending machines in the bathrooms that sell ear plugs.

      • kai says:

Yeah, what’s up with the handholding with her friend? And her friend’s skimpy outfit? They’re such a strange mixture of juvenile and oversexualized.

      • M.A.F. says:

I rather go to the zoo. At least I can read the signs and ignore people while looking at the animals. At a Selina show it would be very hard to avoid loud teenagers.

      • Rebecca/Becky says:

Kai, I think the friend is her bff’? I thought Karlie Kloss was so not sure.

More people would see them at the concert. If they’d done pap pics at the zoo it may have looked staged (shock!)

      • browniecakes says:

So what was Tom doing when Taylor was at the zoo? Sipping bagged tea with Andrea?

    • Guesto says:

@Jezza – “He won’t be Bond when this is over.”

He wasn’t Bond before this started.

  11. jess1632 says:

This pr all sounds so pg like something from high school, like their trying to hide something. I want the real story. There was definitely overlap, why can’t celebs be real w us?
Friends who cheat or have been cheated usually admit it openly-why can’t tiddles? Bad pr for Tom or Taylor?? I doubt it’d affect Taylor that much but Tom……

    • lisa2 says:

Your first sentence is exactly what I feel. He is a 35 year old man and it feels like he is in a PG rated relationship. When I saw him with her at the Selena concert it felt so funny. Like why is he there? And their relationships seem cute.. but not SEXY.. there is not Heat.

      • Lex says:

@Lisa2 when has Taylor ever had heat with her bf though? Certainly not Taylor, Jake, John, Harry, Connor, or Calvin. She looked twee with all of them. I legitimately have only seen her have a connection with Karlie Kloss, when they drunkenly made out at that concert.

      • Gatita says:

I’m surprised that Karlie Kloss makeout session hasn’t gotten more traction. Given the Karlie thing and Taylor’s penchant for dating obviously closeted men (Taylor Lautner & Jake Gyllenhaal) it seems very likely that Hiddleswift is just a double bearding situation for mutual PR and profit.

  12. Sixer says:

You cannot have Tiddlesex. In the UK, tiddle is a silly word for pee. I would keep thinking golden showers and I would NEVER survive. I’m barely hanging on as it is!

    • Miss Jupitero says:

Another good reason why they are Tiddles!

    • Zapp Brannigan says:

Can we have an update from Mr Sixer on this please? Hope you are surviving The Vote today.

      • Sixer says:

I think he’s coming home for lunch in order to get the vote out of the way, so will ask which sexiful word he thinks should apply.

      • Eleonor says:

You should start a twitter: Mr. Sixier reacts to…

      • Sixer says:

        Mr Sixer he said:

This feels suspiciously like you are asking me to adjudicate hen party smut. I abstain. You will have to have a vote or something. I believe the internet does polls. Meanwhile, do you mind if I actually vote in the democracy sense?

        I said:

Some people have NO stamina. Disappointing.

      • Lilacflowers says:

@Sixer, “Hen Party Smut” needs to be a band name.

    • MrsBPitt says:

      How about Swiddles? Swiddlessex?

    • Maria says:

im not english but whenever i see those Eton boys i think they are into those things.

    • lilacflowers says:

There’s a whole basket of life-giving food and beverage items heading your way. Just be sure not to giggle and swallow at the same time unless you are prepared to heimlich yourself.

Tom has taken time out from tiddlesexing to tweet that people should remember to vote today.

      • Sixer says:

HE’D BETTER HAVE POSTAL VOTED OR I WILL GO POSTAL.

Thanks for nosh! I am starving and workless, so am stuffing my face.

      • Rebecca/Becky says:

Postal vote deadline was 15 June, or he could’ve arranged a proxy vote.

    • Gatita says:

Well she did date John Mayer…

    • chaine says:

so funny, when i was a little bitty my parents used to say “piddled,” but it was only for a cat or dog peeing, not a person…

    • Chicken says:

I’ve heard “piddle” here in the US for pee. When I was growing up, we referred to going pee as “going tinkle,” on the reasoning that “pee is a gross word only Yankees use.” (I use the word “pee” now and would never say “going tinkle” as an adult).

Anyway, I was in probably first or second grade, and our teacher was reading us a British children’s book aloud to us, and there was a line that said, “All of the sudden, the doorbell tinkled,” and as soon as she said the words, the entire classroom erupted into giggles and she lost our focus for quite some time.

  13. Karen says:

‘The pair have may more in common than meets the eye. “He can’t meet new people without them having preconceived ideas of him, and I’m sure Taylor feels the same way,”’

Hahaha the source close to him confirmed the only thing they have in common is fame. True love based on common values.

    • Don't kill me I'm French says:

Fame and famewhoring is the basement of real love .Look Kanye Trashadian and Kim West!

    • Leo says:

And Taylor who seems to pick her famous BFs out of gossip magazines and has her management/PR set up play-dates with them WOULDN’T have preconceived ideas of him? Please.

    • Mira says:

That source of his sounds really idiotic, As if the thing to do when you are bothered by the intrusive nature of fame is to date someone 10 times as famous so you will become even more recognisable. Its funny that his source equals his fame with his. Where i live at the moment he really isn’t famous most people here have no idea who he is, at least they didn’t untill he started dating her.

      • kai says:

Yep. And I can just see him with Luke: “Tell them I’m a really smart, attractive guy! With a fun personality! Don’t forget the fun personality!” What a life…

  14. Lora says:

Does she have new bigger boobs? It sure looks like it

    • Don't kill me I'm French says:

      Same question

    • Jess says:

I think the “bigger” boobs are a combination of the bra and she looking fuller. It’s obvious she’s put on some much needed weight, which makes sense given that she is on a break from touring and promoting…

      • Felice. says:

agreed. Implants don’t hang like that unless you’ve had them for 5 years.

      • maria 2 says:

        SHE’S PREGNANT!

        😉

      • Secret squirrel says:

Points to me for correctly predicting a pregnancy declaration on one of these threads within a week of his NYC outing at Taylor’s car.

      • Sixer says:

I think the baby should be a boy and they should call him Tarquin.

      • Mira says:

Tom will obviously propose live on Graham Norton. They will have twins ( Reginald and Myrtle) and marry at a castle in Scotland ( just to spite Calvin).

      • Lauren II says:

Tiddles-cuddles-Eton69?–is making Taylor beautiful and healthy. Best Tay has ever looked. Her hair looks better too.
Adam always behaved as if he was too cool and evolved for Taylor. Tom pursued Taylor and says she is “delightful”.
British men are the best lovers–no matter how dorky they may seem. Intelligence, thoughtfulness, and humour is very sexy.
If this is PR, then so be it.

    • Rachel says:

I think it’s probably her boob job from a few years ago plus a very clingy jersey crop top and a good push-up bra. In the Bad Blood video they went from reasonable to clearly enhanced from shot to shot based on what kind of bra/corset/crop-top she was wearing.

      • Miss Melissa says:

You could see in pictures with Harris that she had a boob job at some point.

    • Marine says:

Yes they do!! I actually saw some posts on Tumblr (don’t judge lol) and there were some photos that were more obvious than these in terms of size difference. Not that I care but I’ll keep an eye out to confirm or deny my suspicions

  15. Leo says:

Is Taylor stuffing her bra? Since when does she have such a sizable rack?

  16. Don't kill me I'm French says:

1/ all i see is her bigger boobs .New boob job or good push up bra ?
2/ with this story, she doesn’t look a cheater or desesperate
3/ poor Calvin Harris! Her next album even won’t be about him and how he was a douche with her but how a charming prince saves her

    • BearcatLawyer says:

I am in Las Vegas for a conference, and Calvin Harris is deejaying on Friday night at one of the clubs here. Even though I am far from his typical fan demographic, I am tempted to go just for giggles and grins…

    • OhDear says:

Re: #2 – It seems like she’s setting up to throw Tom under the bus when this thing implodes. I hope their publicists have agreed on a “breakup plan.”

  17. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I like them together and I predict they will marry.

  18. Leah says:

Oatmeal + oatmeal = super boring oatmeal

    • browniecakes says:

Agreed. The ONLY interesting thing is the Calvin angle and even Calvin isn’t that invested. Is Calvin mad Tom took his oatmeal? No.

      • Bethany says:

Calvin is worse than oatmeal. He’s bran. All he does is workout.

      • Dara says:

And play weird social media games with exes and their families. He seems even more of a child than TayTay. From what little I know of him, I’d say Taylor is better off without him.

  19. Jess says:

I think the “bigger” boobs are a combination of the bra and she looking fuller. It’s obvious she’s put on some much needed weight, which makes sense given that she is on a break from touring and promoting.
I actually think she looks healthier
(If only she would get rid of that horrible hair..she would look better )

  20. Claudia says:

I’m so entertained by this pairing, I hope they’ll stay together for a long time.

    (Tiddlesbanging ftw!)

  21. MI6 says:

They are Tiddle-doodling the idea of each other- he’s a sauve, educated Brit with a Prince Charming complex and she’s a rich, famous mean girl with all the toys. It’s all “smoke and mirrors,” as Mr. Hiddleston so accurately stated not too long ago. They are infatuated with each other’s image. (He “ticks off a lot of boxes”?! Is this an employment application or a relationship?) I cannot wait for reality to set in.
Her expression in these photos (and his awkwardness in the concert “dancing” videos) tells me this is an elaborate scheme to make Calvin Harris jealous and TH famous at the same time.
Prediction: She’ll break up with TH and get back with CH.
    Mission accomplished.

    • Secret squirrel says:

Weeell, maybe it was a ploy to make Calvin jealous and want her back initially, but I think Taylor is in love with the idea of being in love so if Tom is keenly romancing her and she is getting the pants charmed off her with traditional romantic gestures, she will interpret that as true love and forget about Calvin. Let’s face it, there are worse things than fighting off Tom’s advances!

I have a friend who believes herself in love with just about every guy she dates. It really is a scary thing to see happening and I think Taylor’s dating history sounds the same.

I’m not sure I believe that you can be wanting to marry one person one day, then less than a month later you are madly in love with another person. I think the media is filling in the gaps with these two.

    • Lynnie says:

I don’t think Calvin wants her back though. He’s just suffering a bruised ego right now, because he looks had. And after Tayto break up I can’t see who would want to date her pr/real life wise. She ruined the grown up persona she created with her last album which I think would scare off the guys that are on her level, and I highly doubt she wants to date a plebe

    • Phoebe says:

That’s my new theory as well, M16- all of this is orchestrated by Taylor to make Calvin feel guilty for cheating (someone had to be in that car with him), and jealous that she could get someone like Tom so fast. He’ll miss her so much he’ll come begging back to her and see ya Tom!

      • maria 2 says:

        “someone like Tom”

Is that really something thou? He is not a household name. Fine, he has had steady work through the years but he is still not famous outside internet. (That is my impression at least.)

      • MI6 says:

@Phoebe: Exactly. Her face says it all. That’s not “I’ve been well-Tiddled,” that’s a major, smug F*U to Calvin.
And perhaps I am overly optimistic given the plethora of evidence against him, but I think on some level TH knows it. The thrill of dating the Prom Queen has blinded him, at least temporarily.
It’s a matter of time. This is all about egos and economics.

  22. Poop says:

OMG! I love it. She’s got the pettiest face on! “Look at me, Calvin!”

That being said, her “Tiddles” look amazing. Dunno what she’s doing but she looks good.

  23. Cure says:

Her smirk annoys me. Everyone says this will help him get Bond, but i dissagree. I think that his fan base is already tweens/young women and by dating a tween pop star it won’t help him to be taken seriously.

Daniel Craig, Pierce Brosnan, and Sean Connery had a certain seriousness and swag that i don’t think Tkm has. This helps Taylor but i really think it will hurt Tom’s chances. Wasn’t Damien Lewis is the running?

    • AG-UK says:

I don’t think he’s sexy enough for Bond I wasn’t a big Daniel Craig fan but man he could work a suit. I think Tom Hardy, def not Damien Lewis.. eeek even that crazy guy from Happy Valley.

      • maria 2 says:

nooooo not Hardy! He’s to good to be Bond. Besides, would he put up with the pr & premiere frenzy he’d have to endure?

      • AG-UK says:

@maria 2, you are correct he is too good but he’s got that sexiness that can work and those eyes those EYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSS.
I don’t know who could nor do I care. The last film was rubbish. But don’t want TH. Nope no way. They might want someone completely unknown who can make their own mark.

      • maria 2 says:

        @ AG-UK

I don’t like Bond, never has. Casino royal was ok. Every other movie than that: Bond is drunk. Bond is violent. A woman is in fatal danger (mostly because of Bond) and she STILL can’t wait to get out of her panties and get Bond inside her. Oh and Bond can do everything, and survive everything.

Tom Hardy is too good and too sexy for that.

    • lilacflowers says:

Damien Lewis has said he wants the job and is openly campaigning for it. Gillian Andersen has done the same. Idris Elba and Tom Hiddleston are the two who are constantly asked about it, neither has said he wants it, both have pointed out that Craig is still under contract, and Tom has twice said he wishes people would stop asking and he’s not going to get it. Aidan Turner and Jamie Bell have both supposedly met with Barbara Broccoli to discuss Bond.

      • kai says:

Lilac, where did you read that Craig was still under contract? I only read those tabloid rumours that he turned down a gazillion dollars. I’d love it if we could stop with the Bond crap…

      • Lilacflowers says:

@KC, just about every industry article about Craig’s contract. There is one more film on it. The contract may allow for re-negotiating terms or an opt-out. It has sounded for quite some time like there is re-negotiating going on. He said he was done after SPECTRE but then said later himself that he was just recovering from SPECTRE and still had one more on his contract. Broccoli might be floating other names around as a negotiation tactic. As far as I’m concerned, she owes both Tom and Idris roles as great villains for having to put up with the fallout of her game.

      • Annetommy says:

Jamie Bell is a perfectly fine actor but would be a bonkers Bond. Aiden Turner or James Norton seem to fit the bill. Tom Ellis has also been mentioned and he might be OK. I don’t really know why I’m contributing as I am not a fan of the films, I’ve just been dragged into the whole Swiddlesteria.

      • Starkiller says:

I hope you mean that Gillian Anderson is campaigning for Damian Lewis, because this comment reads as if she’s campaigning for herself. She’s not a man and more importantly, she’s not British-she can’t possibly be so daft as to think the chauvinists in charge of Bond would even entertain rhe thought.

      • lilacflowers says:

@Starkiller, I most certainly do mean that Gillian Anderson is campaigning for Gillian Anderson to be Bond. She grew up in London, studied in London, and has done a great deal of work on the London stage. She announced about two months ago that she believes it is time for Bond to be a woman and she wants the part.

  24. K.C. says:

I never take Us Weekly seriously, so meh to that bit. I found the People quote very interesting, though. I feel like they’re like, “No no, this isn’t as random as it looks.” Which I honestly agree with. They make so much sense. But it’s funny that someone’s PR feels the need to tell us about it.

Anyway, still very much enjoying these two together. A lot of people say it’s fake, but I’m rooting for them to prove everyone wrong and have a good relationship. She may have dated a lot in her late teens/early 20s, but she seems like someone who really does want to settle down eventually. We’ll see how this pans out, but I feel like this could actually last.

    • LadyLoo says:

      ????? You’ve taken a wrong turn somewhere.

    • browniecakes says:

Can I have some of what you are drinking K.C.?

      • K.C. says:

Ha! You know, my thinking is just that there are a lot of celebrities who are pretty terrible people—treat their fans horribly, rude to crew people, getting caught up in the partying lifestyle. But I mean seriously, what’s the worst that can be said about Tiddles? Separately they love attention and are getting loads of it together. They’re try-hard and have had questionable relationships and are uptight about their image. But they also clearly work really hard and are fairly decent human beings, at least when it comes to the people they work with and their appreciation for fans. So yeah, without sarcasm I can say I’m happy to support Tiddles. They’re an absurd pairing straight out of fan fiction, but their silliness makes me smile.

I’m still drunk off @lilacflowers’ margaritas from a few days ago.

    • Bethany says:

I agree with you, they are a fun couple even though they seem mismatched at first glance.

Also they looked legit at the concert. Even if people still think this is a PR match, it seems pretty obvious they’re one of the ones that are in fact banging their way through it.

  25. AG-UK says:

I love someone’s comment in the Daily Fail, someone needs to have a quiet word. Exactly I am embarrassed for him but hey it’s his problem if he wants to look like a fool.

    • Secret squirrel says:

If a guy acts like a fool despite his friends and family, then it is usually love. It is about time for Tom as he hasn’t been in a public love relationship since Sarah Fielding and that was quite some time ago.

However the speed and intensity of this relationship is breathtaking!

      • Lilacflowers says:

Yes, it’s like take some moments for “alone by myself” time. Too much together time too soon stifles actual assessment of the situation

How goes your espionage preparations for Thor 3?

      • Mira says:

I don’t know if its that simple.. Men make fools of themselves all the time over women. Some guys just want arm candy to show off to other men even if the person isn’t on their level intellectually. A lot of people in hollywood want to date famous people because well it makes them famous by association. Then theres old men desperately running after young women, chasing youth. A lot of that stuff is motivated by ego rather than true love.

      • AG-UK says:

        @ Secret Squirrel
I agree if they only met in May or whenever it’s breakneck speed. I do know/knew women like that though but for some reason it never ended well.

      • browniecakes says:

Tom hadn’t gotten any in a long time. It’s all that makes sense to me.

      • MI6 says:

@Browniecakes – Bingo. Methinks the poor boy has had a very looong dry spell. Explains the addled brain.
And when TS breaks up with him to go back to CH, all the disenfranchised fangirls can come rushing back to comfort him.
        #exitstrategy
        It’s actually brilliant.

This is fantastic. After watching the videos I get the impression she was not that into him, or at least wasn’t while they were there. Every time he tries to talk to her you can tell she’s dying to get away and dance with her friends. I have such second hand embarrassment for him.

    • InvaderTak says:

Good lord that’s so sad it’s funny

  27. Neal says:

I think they’re actually kinda cute. They’re growing on me the more their antics intensify for whatever reason. They both make sense; they’re twee, emotionally immature and enjoy a good stunt. I dig it.

  28. Jane says:

$50.oo says she already is designing her wedding dress, and wedding/engagement ring, girls squad for brides maids, honeymoon and the lyrics to the song she’ll demand tom sing to her at the reception already.

  29. Looty says:

I think they are a cute couple in the Nashville photos. Her hair is looking better, has she toned it to a more flattering shade? She looks good. I persist in thinking he’s just as cute as he can be, I never saw the hotness but I haven’t seen night manager.

  30. Tara says:

Actually she does look well and truly sexed in those pics. Good for Taylor. I am rooting this on.

  31. spidey says:

Whatever did CB write about before Twiddles?

    Oh yes, Katherine.

  32. MoochieMom says:

Taking this out of context because it is how I got through grad school. “She’s single, so of course if a cute guy reaches out who she likes, she would talk to him.” Let’s just end the sentence there and not go any further.

  33. OhDear says:

I know that interpreting their body language and facial expressions is like a Rorschach test at this point, but he looks embarrassed, almost ashamed, in the shots that the Daily Mail tweeted.

The comments about him in practically every gossip outlet since this *cough* relationship *cough* started must have done a number on his ego.

    • browniecakes says:

Imagine the after concert party – Tom who is a mature Englishman, and drinks like an Englishman, stuck with those loud American 20somethings who are just learning how to drink. At some point he’s got to click those over worn gray boots together three times and make a wish to go home – or go to OZ, which cannot happen soon enough.

      • OhDear says:

For his sake, I hope Swift is paying him well for being in this *cough* relationship *cough* Because IMO it looks like it’s an all-around miserable experience.

  34. Dana says:

Tiddles diddles Swifty’s skittle. (Appologies to Peaches for using her song title.)

  35. LMB says:

I think Taylor wants to sing the next Bond tune and she probably thinks she makes a better chance if she shags Tom Hiddleston who might be the next Bond.

  36. Dippit says:

“Tiddlesex” sounds like a county where Tom might go for a spot of cricket.

Whatever game they’re (*HE’s*) playing I think it’s ‘contrived circumstances’, he’s a ‘dibbly dobbly’, neither are truly ‘bowled over’ but it’s a ‘rib tickler’ for now but expect I’ll soon want them called ‘Out’ ‘LBW’ and for them to ‘silly MID-OFF’.

    • Sixer says:

It took me almost a decade of living here to change my cricket team from Middlesex to Somerset. Some things are sacred.

I think someone’s bowled a GOOGLY, to shouts of HOWZAT but the THIRD EYE wasn’t having it. Also, something to do with BODYLINES but I’m too lazy to work it into an actual sentence.

The only question is: WHEN WILL RAIN STOP PLAY?

      • Secret squirrel says:

I don’t know, I’m STUMPED on when someone will BAIL and it will all be OVER and then the PR teams will have a bit of a STICKY WICKET to sort out.

I haven’t counted ex boyfriends, but could Tom be her 12TH MAN?

    • Annetommy says:

I think you should have worked maiden over and long leg in there. And maybe full toss.

      • Sixer says:

LEGS bowled a maiden over. His days of the singleton full toss are officially gone.

(I realise that none of this makes sense to Americans, but the toss double entendre is tickling my fancy).

      • Dippit says:

I’ll happily take additions… I had meant to toss a “toss(*r)” in there.

  38. Lolita says:

Taylor and Tom are holding hands, that part I understand. But why the hell is she holding hands with some teenage looking girl in a mini dress and high boots. Is that her friend or Tay and Tom picked up a prostitute on their way home???

    • RUNSWITHSCISSORS says:

A prostitute! Thanks Lolita for the great comment 😂😂😂

Lilac, can you please advise what food and drinks are available today? I’m between jobs right now and ravenous. Thanks!

      • Lilacflowers says:

In honor of Brexit, we’re serving tea, scones, crumpets, fish and chips, shepherds pie, bangers and mash, a selection of traditional ales, Pimm’s, and Eton mess.

      • RUNSWITHSCISSORS says:

Yum! There’s nothing better than Eton Mess! Unless you’re referring to Mr. Swift…

Sorry, I just couldn’t resist. I’ll just take some fish and chips, and hide in the corner contemplating the enormity of my crimes (snark).

      • Miss Jupitero says:

Lilac flowers, my Magic 8 Ball tells me that you have had Flour Bakery’s Eton Mess….. amirite?

        Mmmmmmmm

      • Lilacflowers says:

@Miss Jupitero, my office is pretty much in between the Back Bay Flour and the Seaport Flour and sometimes they run out of cinnamon buns and I must console myself with other things

      • Miss Jupitero says:

I go to the MIT Flour all the time after work. They don’t always have Eton mess, but when they do…. Mmmmmmmm. I’m also fond of their carrot cake.

  39. my3cents says:

  40. Rita says:

For shame on all of you. I haven’t read every comment yet but from what I have read there is not a “BOOB-JOB” comment in the lot. Those are not her boobs in the red dress, and least not her “Pre-Tiddles” boobs.

Looks like she got some Tiddles as well as some Tittles.

  41. Alex says:

This is pretty terrible PR for both involved. Tom’s fanbase skews older than Taylor’s tween base. This is pretty much out of her playbook so this will end up worse for Tom. But yea people are roasting them daily over this.

  42. JB says:

This relationship also makes me think less of Tom now.

  43. M.A.F. says:

From the People article- “‘He can’t meet new people without them having preconceived ideas of him, and I’m sure Taylor feels the same way,” says the friend

Well no s**t Sherlock. When you “put out” there that you are highly intelligent man who keeps his private life private then do this, yeah, you made people think twice about your persona. Taylor is the same way. When every. single. song. is about a break up then you go from one relationship to the next? Yeah, that is the persona you are putting out there.

I think I’m officially over all of the “think” pieces or just articles in general. Unless these two start doing more pap walks, I might start sitting this out. They are become a bore.

I’ll be in the meadow trying not to fall asleep.

    • browniecakes says:

I am in for the photos – so in. They are gold. I can’t wait for more. But the written stuff is either projecting (wedding – no), mocking, middle school drivel, or flat out made up.

      • K.C. says:

The written stuff is all a mix of some PR nonsense from their camps and primarily made-up sources, so I’m not putting much stock in any of it. I know the girl is open about her relationships, but you’d have to be pretty dumb to let your PR person say “Oh yes, they’ve been dating two weeks and she think she has met THE ONE. Print that, Us Weekly.”

      • browniecakes says:

Did he fire his PR people after they made him criss cross the USA for an entire month after Vietnam?

      • lilacflowers says:

@browniecakes, most of that criss-crossing was scheduled by Sony, AMC, and the High-Rise distributors, not his own PR people. Studios and networks have control over PR appearances for their projects. Don’t do it and the studios or networks think twice about hiring the actor the next time.

  44. TreadStyle says:

How embarrassing to have someone publish that you skipped an audition to court Taylor Swift when your a grown a** man! Hope he has fun on this ride bc I feel that while he will enjoy the publicity for quite a while, in the end he will be regretting it… & looking back on articles like this to remind him of when people officially stopped taking him seriously. Good luck to him!

    • browniecakes says:

Years ago when he was starting out he skipped an audition to see his gf who had just moved to Paris. Probably a wise woman who foresaw famewhoring and flailing.
Not all media outlets are getting the facts right on Tom and no one cares because clearly his PR team is AWOL.

      • Miss Jupitero says:

I think there was some reporter who worked overtime who debunked this story– or rather, he could find absolutely no evidence that Hiddles ever had a girlfriend in high school or college.

the more I hear, the more it sounds like he is kind of emotionally underdeveloped. In which case a lot of things are making more sense.

      • InvaderTak says:

Was that “reporter” from Tumblr? I can’t see a even a gossip reporter digging that deep into something so trivial, to prove….what? That sounds like anti-fans on tumblr.

      • anon says:

Wasn’t it Sixer who debunked it? The story appeared on a Russian blog during the Thor2 promotion and it said he took a train to go to Paris only that train back then didn’t leave from the station mentioned in the article, so Sixer called bs on that story. If you search the threads from that time you’ll probably find it.

      • Sixer says:

OH YES! Eurostar changed London stations from Waterloo to St Pancras! I don’t recall exactly, anon, but I think you are right!

    • InvaderTak says:

That story is true, but it was his longtime uni GF if I remember correctly. He went to Paris to surprise her for her birthday. He told that story around the promo for the first Thor. He got asked something like ‘What was the most romantic thing you’ve ever done?’. Did this just get a bit creepy? That’s very single white female to me. Like TS had a crush on him, knew everything about him and now is retelling things to be about her? Just when I think TS couldn’t get any more weird about her relationships…Am I reaching?

      • Chelsea says:

yeah you are reaching. This story clearly says he went after her hard. Kinda sounds like he’s more into her. also a source that’s a close friend of hiddles talking to US. So all those stories about Tom the knight in shining armout probably come from his friend probably his publicist,

      • InvaderTak says:

Yeah, but I don’t believe the story and I seriously question the source. After all the mockery and him coming off as a kept man all of a sudden he has sources? Sure./sarcamThe buck stops with her PR I think. And It looks to me like they just aped a story that’s been out there for a while and inserted TS into it. Which is kinda off to me.

      • Miss Melissa says:

When they say “A source close to so-in-so”, it’s the publicist “off the record.”

    • OhDear says:

Ooh, didn’t he say that he missed a friend’s wedding for an audition and that it took a while for his friend to accept it? His friend, if he’s reading it, must be feeling great.

    • MI6 says:

Miss Jupitero: Stunted is the word I would use.

    • Lilacflowers says:

@Treadstyle, the article does not say he skipped an audition for Taylor Swift. It says he once skipped an audition for a girlfriend, which is a story he has told before about something he did while still a university student. He has also said that he missed a friend’s wedding for a War Horse meeting with Spielberg, and showed up hungover, again while still a university student, for an audition for POTC, and while he clearly did not get the Will Turner part, they gave him the best audition advice he has received.

And as far as working now and Taylor, the pap pictures from last Friday show him returning to his NY hotel from a business meeting of some kind.

  45. Castor & Pollux says:

I object to US Weekly using the word ‘sexy’ to describe anything about Taylor Swift. Or Tom Hiddleston. Sorry dragonflies, but he does absolutely nothing for me.

    • LittlestRoman says:

See, he used to do something for me back when I bought into the smart-man-with-dignity image; it was an offshoot of the perceived intelligence. Now – drier than the Sahara! Do NOT touch me, man-boy!

      • Jess says:

I never bought into it. There’s was always something a little too calculated about him.
Any man who colours his ginger hair blonde and wears fake tan is too try hard. The underwear photo shoot was just a culmination of this persona. Saw it coming a long time ago.

      • Poisonous Lookalike says:

        Same here, @LittlestRoman.

  46. Castor & Pollux says:

Also, did she get her boobs done again? They look very voluptuous in the red dress pictures. I still find TS totally asexual, despite her admittedly lovely figure.

  47. Tara says:

I like “tiddlesbanging,” partially because I imagine their sexcapades as being somewhat cacophonous.

As for their couple names, I like them all: Tiddleswift (Tiddles for short), Twiddles, TayTo… They’re all lovely.

    • popup says:

With their long, flailing limbs, “banging” is bang on. Good for them and their athletic, semi-coordinated tiddlesbanging.

  48. Solanacaea (Nighty) says:

I’m sorry but which 26 year-old woman goes to a concert with her boyfriend and leaves holding hands to him and someone else (a BFF, probably?). Is she in kindergarten?

    *eyeroll*

    • browniecakes says:

And you can see he’s carrying his old man glasses in his other hand. The glasses that make him look like a hot English professor on a good day.

    • tcbc says:

Eh, I don’t think it’s weird. Some people are more touchy-feely with their friends.

    • Lilacflowers says:

And the friend was holding onto her husband with the other hand. Stuff like that gets old fast.

    • Bethany says:

It makes sense since they were exiting into a crowd and paparazzi, the chain helps them stay together and also Taylor may have wanted her friend to get photographed with her since her friend is an up and coming country singer.

      • Grace says:

I am a little drunk at this very minute but last night I had a look on DM site before going to bed. It looked to me as if her friend didn’t want to be photographed and she was covering her friend using her own body as a shield of some sort. Now why that needed to happen in the first place I do not know. Don’t want to be photographed? Stay away from camera lens.
        /Tapping out I need bed.
And Taylor Swift fans, please don’t tell me why she’s shielding her friend.

      • K.C. says:

That’s what I thought–just trying to stay together when there’s flashing lights and they’d probably been drinking. It would be bizarre doing that just out and about, but leaving a concert is a reasonable time to try to stick together, I think?

  49. Tiddlesbanging has a much better ring to it. It induces visuals, gasps and giggles that Tiddlesex doesn’t have.

I do think that Tom’s “insider” is right. They do have more in common then people would assume on the surface. But it’s the differences that strike me as a deal breaker in the future. We’ll see. He succumbs to her world going to teenybopper concerts but can she & would she do that in his without looking just as silly & out of place. She doesn’t really need to, she’s Taylor Swift. It may just wind up being a good Tiddlesbanging relationship for a few months.

  50. Chelsea says:

Why is he dressed like a banker when he is at a Selena Gomez concert?.
Why are they holding hands in a long chain with all her friends? 😂😂😂

    So many questions.

They are such a weird couple. He looks like a 40 year old dad and she like a teenager

  51. Bread and Circuses says:

As much as I think they’re actually a decent match, personality-wise, the body language in that Daily Fail Express tweet says otherwise. Taylor’s body language is “Look at me, look at me, I win” and Tom’s body language is “Don’t look at me, don’t look at me.”

Which is weird, because Tom is an unrepentant class clown who loves attention, but I don’t think he’s liking this.

    • Chelsea says:

HE is the one trailing after HER like a puppy from state to state. In one week he’s followed her from Rhode Island-nyc-Nashville. He’s a more than willing participant. He’s a grown ass 35 year old man. She didn’t force him to follow her around. He’s not stupid he knows stand next to Taylor swift= get papped.
She always smiles like that to the paps. I doesn’t say anything about her state of mind really,
I bet money that he is more into her than she is into him right now.

  52. Betsy says:

This has certainly helped James Norton’s chances to get Bond. THanks Taylor.

  53. Grace says:

It’s Thursday and it’s the day of the VOTE and I had one glass too many and who cares what those two do?

I am sorry I am just frustrated because I am a foreigner living in London who can’t VOTE. Tomorrow I will all smiley and trying to be funny again. 🙂

    • Sixer says:

I have a Polish friend here in the village who has been here 10 years and can’t vote. I feel for you, Grace.

  54. Chelsea says:

I agree with the people who think he’s immature emotionally. I will also add that she’s running the show here in every way. It’s not her that’s clingy right now ( there are plenty of stories of her “stalking” or wooing boys ask Douglas Booth or the Kennedy kid).
In my opinion she’s finally found someone as clingy as herself. It must be true love 🎈🎉❤️

  55. browniecakes says:

So what is next? End of next week he has to go home to London to pack his other pair of shoes (the white Gilligans) and his other two shirts (both blue) and head out for AU. Will she go home with him? Will she meet his fam and friend (there must be one)? That was harsh, sorry. Will she go all the way to AU as well?

    • Lilacflowers says:

You forgot the red plaid one and the boots and the hoodie.

    • RUNSWITHSCISSORS says:

Ooohhhhh, I would love for him to introduce her to Mr & Mrs Cumberbatch.

    • LittlestRoman says:

He might have friends, but I fear he doesn’t have *real* friends. I’m sorry, but if I was acting this asinine in public at 35 years old, I would hope and pray that my nearest and dearest would stage an intervention.

    • M.A.F. says:

You know? I hope she takes him shopping. Maybe this is why he is open to an relationship: new clothes.

      • sunny says:

Didn’t he graduate from Eton or Harrow? Doubt money is an issue for him

      • M.A.F. says:

Not sure what money had to do with my comment on clothes. He has a very limited wardrobe and I’m bored by it. If he insists on playing this game, he needs to step up the clothes. I’m bored (said in the voice of Jude Law from Gattica).

To answer your question, he went to Eton.

      • lilacflowers says:

His limited wardrobe has nothing to do with ability to pay for clothes. He can afford clothes and many of the pieces he wears are expensive. Somebody asked him in an interview quite a while back and he explained that something Rebecca Hall once told him about “being able to live your life out of two suitcases:” is freeing or something and he goes through his wardrobe once year to downsize to that “two suitcases” limit and donates the clothes.

  56. guest says:

    they are cute

  57. Jess says:

Must be all the rage in Hollywood to have a much younger suga mama- daddy. First Lilo now Tommyboy!

  58. A. Key says:

Wonder if she’ll get a bum job next.

  59. Vic says:

Next time someone tells me this Hiddleston guy is a serious actor I am gonna laugh!
Can’t wait to see him on a swan float surrounded by Gigi, Karlie and Kendall!
    #swangoals

  60. Felice. says:

It’s very unlikely she has new implants.

There’s a 4 week recovery period and they are high on your chest and really obviously fake looking for about 3-4 months and then they settle.

    • Dani says:

She could have had those injections done by the same doctor who does the Kardashians. It’s all over his instagram. Dr Azounian or something. No recovery time.

  61. Vic says:

This reminds me of that story about how he swooped right in as soon as Elizabeth Olsen was single. He must like his women fresh from a break up and vulnerable.

    • Miss Jupitero says:

I was wondering: how the hell does he do this? Does he have GPS tracking on the women he is interested in? Some sort of weird alert on his computer that goes “Beep beep… Starlet with new implants just unfriended her BF!”? An open24/7 account with FTD?

      • lilacflowers says:

Given that Olsen actually dumped whathisname about one week into the filming of ISTL by telephone and not three months later when it was reported, he, and everyone else on the set, probably knew about that one within hours of it happening. For all anyone knows, Swift could have been talking about how things were falling apart with theotherwhathisname with her friends at the MET gala.

  62. Meee4 says:

Last night’s Intimate Date night pics at E!online . At least he changed his shirt this time.

Taylor and Tom “were by themselves on the date, but surrounded by security,” says an onlooker. Intimate?? Lol

Seriously,I may have given myself an ulcer from busting my gut laughing so hard this last week.

Also I don’t understand wtf E! Is about. Although the I know it’s about dollars for them , one minute they love them and the next they ridicule his dad dancing.

    • justme says:

Apropos the “Intimate Date” night pictures — does she seem to have changed her hair color? It seems less bleached — looks better.

      http://www.eonline.com/news/775219/taylor-swift-and-tom-hiddleston-s-intimate-dinner-date-all-the-details

I just want to thank both of them for giving something fun to read about this year. With all the awful stuff happening and an election (in the U.S.) which makes me super-depressed, it is fun to read about “Tiddles” — thanks guys!

      • Veronica says:

She probably has had it tinted. Bleaching can take several steps until you figure out the shade you want, but the damage means you have to wait a bit between each step to keep it from completely ruining your hair.

    • Dara says:

Now my inner restaurant snob is peeved – with all the awesome places to eat in Nashville, and they end up at a chain steakhouse (albeit an up-market one). I guess to be fair they probably picked it for privacy and proximity – but still.

      • Mira says:

What do you mean they picked it for privacy? LOL there are already photos and a full report of their date night. Nothing about this relationship is private.

      • lilacflowers says:

Given that E! has the details on where they sat and they were photographed leaving, there was no privacy.

      • Dara says:

Privacy is a relative term, and I meant while they were inside eating. If they wanted to be completely on display, there are a lot of other places in that area they could have gone that are wall to wall windows and have open dining rooms – why didn’t they go to one of those if they wanted to be seen? You won’t convince me this particular outing was for the benefit of the press/public. The “full report” could have come from one person, rather than an entire restaurant full of diners, and the photographer that caught them leaving was probably hanging around the neighborhood or was tipped off – they are only a few blocks from her condo.

      • Mira says:

” You won’t convince me this particular outing was for the benefit of the press/public.”

Well you won’t convince me that it wasn’t 😉 I have never seen such a public affair from the get go. Apart from with kardashians and those type of people.

      • browniecakes says:

Maybe Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse was the only one that could accommodate a romantic table for 2 and surrounding tables for 12 guys in green. Who paid? Does Tay pay because her security team is there or is this Tom’s opportunity?

      • Dara says:

Mira – fair enough. Don’t get me wrong, I think a lot about this is orchestrated, but I don’t think everything is. At some point the tabloid press sees the frenzy and jumps on the bandwagon. Tom and Taylor may have created the monster, but it now has a life of its own.

Freelance photographers are opportunists – they don’t just wait to be tipped off, some actually do make educated guesses about where they think a lucrative target might be and stake out likely locations. It’s not rocket science. Once I saw T&T were in Nashville I made a wager with a friend who is also a gossip groupie about where they might pop up next – and I came really close to winning. Three places on my list are within a few blocks of where those photos were taken. Mostly, I’m just peeved my friend doesn’t have to pay up – there was a nice bottle of wine riding on this.

      • K.C. says:

Dara, I’m with you re: privacy. All-and-all, other than their initial beach pictures, I’m not convinced anything has been staged or put on display purposefully. The press runs with fun stories for as long as possible, and they’re certainly a juicy topic. Most of the reports of their dates and how they feel about one another and if they think they’ve met “the one” is all nonsense, and it’s out of their hands.

If they start gushing about each other on Twitter and make out on the red carpet, that’s a different thing, and THAT to me is a lack of privacy. Right now they’re mostly just doing their thing. I’m not naive and I know how celebrities play the game (especially these two), but I don’t think this is as over-the-top orchestrated as some may think.

      • Dara says:

K.C. I’m honestly torn about how much of all this is of their doing, and how much is just the media spinning for their own purposes – a mixture of both probably. I’m also working on a new theory. Some of the photos that people say are set-ups probably are, but I think T&T might be using them as a diversion. Well see a lovely set of photos of the happy couple out and about, which they will use as cover to quietly sneak out of town before anyone notices.

      • K.C. says:

@Dara I agree. I think there’s no doubt that their first pictures together were staged. It was pretty obvious. But for two people who care about controlling the image they put out into the world, I get why they’d want to have a say in how people find out about them. If they were “caught” leaving a restaurant or something, based on the timing of her breakup, people might’ve been more inclined to accuse her of cheating. They’re still doing that anyway, but at least Tom and Taylor had the power to put out a set of romantic pictures instead of it looking like they were caught in the act. IDK. That’s not so sinister to me, and makes sense.

    • platospopcorn says:

They look good in these pics. And her legs are just RIDICULOUS — very, very jealous! LEGS and Leggykins. Perfect. Hope they one day bless us with a gaggle of gangly offspring!

      • browniecakes says:

I keep thinking he must have complemented her on her legs judging by the number of short skirts we’ve seen when TnT are out and about.

      • spidey says:

@browniecakes – I hope she never forgets to wear her undies. 😆

      • browniecakes says:

Speaking of underwear,, he is wearing a black tshirt under his blue sweater but I see white at the waistband. Is it those tighty whiteys again?!

    • Felice. says:

Chris Steakhouse? Was Ruby Tuesday closed?

      • Phoebe says:

        LOL! Felice FTW!! I hear there’s a 2 for $20 deal at Applebee’s right now…

    • Maria says:

ugh do they spend every minute of the day together?

      • browniecakes says:

He is taking off for Australia in the next week or so for a few months. Since the expiration date on the relash is clocking down, I would spend every minute of the day with him.

  63. Clairej says:

I love Tom (or did until the cheesy rock pictures). But I hate to say it he did look noticeably more mature than her in the post Selena concert pics. Only because it’s Taylor I guess – it’s jammed into my brain she is permanently 22. The difference between Elizabeth and Tom looked right.

  64. Dani says:

I don’t even care about this pr romance anymore but for the love of god WHAT ARE THOSE FLATS SHE’S WEARING? COULDN’T SHE HAVE FOUND NUDE ONES?!!!! She dresses like my grandma trying to reclaim her youth.

  65. lucy says:

    Eeesh.

  66. Roller74 says:

This is nothing more than a phase he is going through. 3 months, it’ll be donezo. And for all of 2017, we’ll get to hear new songs, from Taylor, about how Tom is a British heart breaker. First song will be titled “Met. Gala Glad”, the last song will be “License to Kill (my heart).”

  67. Dangles says:

“As I’ve said many times, this relationship makes me think more of Taylor and less of Tom.”

Don’t let the British accent fool you. Tom is just another popstar designed to appeal to the dumbed down massess.

  68. Felice. says:

I really hope Tom had an absentee ballot because the polling on the referendum is neck and neck right now…

    • Lilacflowers says:

Based on his Tweet about the importance of voting this morning, I suspect he did.

I’m at a NBA draft party and I’m checking Brexit results. And I’m not the only one

      • spidey says:

It’s is now 1.30 am and I haven’t gone to bed yet. It’s going to be a long night.

      • Lilacflowers says:

The results are coming in so slowly

      • spidey says:

You are telling me. It is now 2 am and I’m off to bed. But will probably keep the radio on.

It’s not like a General Election when usually after just a few declarations you can tell which way it will go. The best thing was at the last GE all the polls said hung, for months beforehand right up to the day, then the exit polls said different and nobody believed them to start with!

        Good night.

      • lilacflowers says:

If you’re sleeping, you’re missing Lindsay Lohan’s coverage of Brexit. And the people commenting about Lindsay Lohan’s coverage of Brexit.

      • spidey says:

Had a quick look and .

Yesterday I stripped my bedding and for the first time ever forget to put the new stuff on. So there I was at 2 in the morning, putting sheets and duvet covers on!

        I’m shattered this morning.

  69. Veronica says:

I’ve decided I can’t be mad with these two: They both like the spotlight, he doesn’t seem upset by her superstar status (especially since he’s benefitting from it), they aren’t playing coy with the media…I can deal with two ambitious celebrities who own it. Have at it, you two. Be ridiculous fanewhores together.

    • Lolita says:

Yeah, I agree with you totally. I mean it’s pretty obvious he’s lost his head over little miss Taylor and doesn’t care about anything, and she’s enjoying the attention (both his and the media). Let them enjoy and have fun while they can. In 3-5 years time no one will remember her name. Taylor’s pop star status will be gone forever, along with Hiddleston’s hair.

    • K.C. says:

Totally agree. They’re having fun and not bothering anyone. If the worst you can say about them is they like attention (and not even in the ridiculous Kimye way or anything), I’d say they’re on the right track. I dig it.

  70. Mira says:

Calvin has gone off on his Insta about Taylor. He is basically saying she went on a victim press tour to make herself look better. Lol this mess isn’t gonna end any day soon, Calvin isn’t gonna stay silent like Harry and the rest of the exes.

    • Miss Jupitero says:

Bring out more popcorn! This is going to be good!

    • platospopcorn says:

Whoa. Bro-dude Calvin is making me feel things! If it’s true what he’s implying in his responses (that Taylor dumped* him to be with Tom), then that makes her whole PR push make sense. At first you’d think she’d want to keep a new man quiet if she really did dump one to be with the other, but this is next level PR — get ahead of the story and get everyone on your side by how in love you are and how great you look together. She couldn’t possibly have done anything shady if she’s being so open with her new love, right? AMAZING. She’s not playin’ y’all!

*The caveat, of course, being that we don’t know how good their relationship was before the dumping. It’s clear that Calvin is feeling something, though. Or he wants you to think he is. Hmm…

You know what? I can’t keep track of these shenanigans — So much high school drama!!! XD

    • Veronica says:

But isn’t he the one who set up the narrative that he dumped her because it was getting serious? Why is it changing now? I think Tay-Tay has some serious PR skill, but what he’s suggesting is just crazy. She set up a campaign to act like she was the overly clingy one who wanted marriage and got dumped (shortly after a VF interview where she spoke well of him), and he doesn’t say a word on Instagram when THAT’S the story, but then she rebounds with Tom, and suddenly it was actually her PR plant all along to cover up cheating?

Which one is more realistic here – T. Swift is a genius of public relations conspiracy craft, or that he’s pissed because she basically moved on and upgraded, which undermined the narrative that out him in a position of control?

      • platospopcorn says:

Like I said, Veronica, I don’t think I can keep up with it all because I’m a few *cough* years beyond high school! Your take makes sense, too. It seems like they’re both similar brands of oversharing ridiculous (he’s been pissy about exes before, right? and we’ve heard about her relationships after the fact ad nauseum). Maybe Taylor will settle down with Tom and at least the break-up drama will be over. I foresee lots and lots of fun outings and pics in our future no matter which way it goes!

      • K.C. says:

I have no doubt Taylor is brilliant at controlling her image, but honestly, the conspiracy theories go into crop circle territory with her sometimes. I don’t think this woman sits around concocting media schemes all day–I think the press goes way overboard painting her as a perpetually deranged ex-girlfriend. Nothing I’ve ever seen of her, other than reports from “sources,” indicates that she’s anywhere near that devious. Controlling? Most definitely. Insane? You never know, but I seriously doubt it.

I think Calvin is mad that she spun the narrative around on him. For weeks it was all about how he dumped her, and all that was said was his tweet about how there was love and respect between them. Now she’s with someone else, and his tune is changing. Interesting. I think him being bitter about her moving on is a lot more normal and realistic than her coming up with this grand scheme to screw him over.

    • spidey says:

A dignified silence is always best.

  71. Molly says:

I love him but this seems just a little too forced to me. A little too conspicuous, in your face, public. If they were really dating, wouldn’t they try to keep it on the down low?

  72. Lolita says:

Dear Celebitchy admin, could you please change that cover photo. First it was hilarious but now it’s just disturbing:-)

    • Lolita says:

P.S. the same words can be used to describe HiddleSwift romance, from hilarious to disturbing in just 3 days:-)

Did she get a boob job? Her boobs are huge looking in the red top. She went from flat chested to buxom.

  74. I’m picturing Tom trying to explain to Taylor all about the BREXIT vote happening right now. Not that she would be asking but if they’re together, he’s all over it.

In my mind she is a serial dater who uses her partners for song and PR fodder. I can’t ignore my own feeling that he has lost a little credibility here. Sure, he’s had a few relationships as well, but unlike her, he doesn’t rely on those relationships for his career.
Yes, I think he could do better. Taylor comes across as a cold psychopath to me. Never liked her.

My take-away from this thread. Taylor suddenly has bigger boobs and looks more filled out than her normal super skinny self.

Come on people. Obviously there is a Hiddlesbaby on the way! Play dates with the Cumberbaby……..coming soon!

Okay, probably not to anything I’ve said here.

I don’t know, but I like these 2 together. At least physically. She always seems like such a ‘innocent’ and prudish type of girl, but her and Tom look like they actually have some chemistry.Even if she only gets a lot of great sex out of their tryst, that’s still a bargain!

    My goodness Brexit, Sixer!

Some fans asked question to Calvin and Surprisingly he answered!!! ( see Dailymail) Honeeeeeeeeeeeeey it’s going down. #Brexit #WTFBritain?

  81. This is all PR Tomfoolery, I can’t unsee this creep in his tighty whities in the virginal white bedroom.

  82. Sway says:

OMG, Hiddles started pursuing the poor, innocent, still aching from the separation Taylor and what is she to do!? What is she to do, I ask you! It’s only natural she would graciously hide her pain and go for it, out of the goodness of her heart, just so he is happy. It’s just who she is, guys!
