Last week, Radar carried a curious story, just another theory about why there seemed to be some “bad blood” around the Calvin Harris-Taylor Swift breakup. At that point, we had every theory – that he cheated, that she cheated, that he wanted to get married and she didn’t, that she wanted to get married and she didn’t. Throw in some speculation about their lack of sexual chemistry and whether or not Calvin could “handle” Taylor’s level of stardom, and I think that just about covers it. But the tabloids keep running with the narrative that Taylor though Calvin did her wrong, somehow. Radar got more specific: they claim that Calvin Harris sent a dick pic to a female music executive, and said dick pic was making the rounds amongst editors at various tabloids. Radar claims they had seen the dick pic, and in this week’s Star Magazine, they claim that they’ve seen the dick pic too.

According to Radar, the photo was mostly “the business end,” let’s say, although “the bottom half of the man’s face can be seen in the photo, and the facial hair matches Harris’s usual scruff. In addition, a mole often seen by Harris’s lower right waistband in his shirtless shots is seen in this snap, as well as a hint of the large tattoo that appears on the inside of his right forearm.” As Star says, the “moles and tattoos appear to match up” to Calvin Harris. Even more damning is that sources (possible the music executive who received the photo?) claim that Calvin definitely sent the photo while he was still with Taylor Swift.

All that being said, Gossip Cop came down hard on Radar for this story.

Gossip Cop checked in with a source close to Harris, who exclusively assures us he never sent a “dick pic” to a female music executive, and the site’s claim is a “total lie.” Additionally, RadarOnline has zero proof this supposed image even exists, despite asserting that it has “viewed the photo.”

Sure. I do this all day, I parse wording, and I try to look for what isn’t being said or which details are being implied or emphasized. And I have to say, the way Radar and Star talk about this alleged dick pic, the more I think it actually exists and that he sent it to someone in the music industry. Of course I don’t know for sure. But I just think that Radar and Star wouldn’t insist that they had seen the photo if it was just a figment of someone’s imagination. Now, does it follow that this is the reason why Taylor and Calvin split? Not really. If it happened, Taylor probably didn’t even know about it. But luckily for her, she already had Tiddlesex waiting in the wings.

Incidentally, Calvin has been talking… sort of. Last night, he apparently commented on Instagram, replying to some of his fans, and then he deleted those comments. He said that he wasn’t going to come out and tell his side of the story because Taylor “controlled the media and this situation, I had no idea what was going on. So that kind of makes it a lot worse from my perspective.”
